First visit to this cafe - coffee was good and the service friendly. It was busy inside, but sitting outdoors or walking and window shopping is an option. Pricing was standard and seems to be a good value. Parking is a little crazy in this somewhat irregular shaped parking lot, so keep an eye out ... people and cars come out of nowhere.

Ordered breakfast this morning through skip the dishes, everything came very neat and clean. The food was unreal and so good, and the salad was a nice morning treat while on the road 10 out of 10!!

Excellent food! Small coffee shop, order at the counter. Everything seems to be homemade. Mind-blowing tasty sandwiches. Fresh blueberry pie. This place is a little gem.

Saw this had such high ratings but didn’t read that it seems to be mostly about the food. I grabbed a flat white and it was um, not great. Was hoping for a more traditional espresso but was very fast and small for a medium. I’d go and try the food next time but get coffee elsewhere or try the drip? *Shrug*

Nice comfortable spot to spend some time and just relax. Big windows give the space a nice light and the seats and tables are all big and comfortable. Staff are very warm and friendly, and there's a surprisingly robust selection of breakfast and lunch foods which are made fresh. The one downside, there's no outlets anywhere so if you're planning on charging your laptop or phone you're out of luck. Otherwise this is a great place and I'll definitely be back.

I can’t rave enough about this amazing little coffee shop that serves breakfast/lunches/and other little goodies.. the setting is one of comfort and feels like good family. They also get to know you by personal first name, (if you wish), and a big greeting when visit, and a good-bye when you leave, ... so clean and inviting! Has a section with umbrellas to sit outside.. such a great feeling when go there; even specially trained barista/s. I love the barista designs; so just something I take notice of when art is presented in a cup! Keep this one on your radar; don’t pass this one up.. right across from the Nanaimo city’s best, Longwood Brew Pub, Nanaimo north end... Carol Ann Kellar (CarolAnn) ????????

Today Cade is my favourite place for brunch, breakfast..anything.! Brian & Jennifer are amazing owners & hosts who treat every customer like a friend. I was looking for a breakfast place that offered more than the typical bacon and eggs. Cafe Today did not disappoint. The French toast came with a very generous portion of fresh fruit. So delicious! My husband ordered a bagel with ham and cheese which he enjoyed. The staff were super friendly. This could well be our go-to breakfast restaurant.

Waste of money. Spinach omelette with almost no spinach. Very small amount of food. Cold coffee. And very expensive. Much better place down the road.

This cafe has my favourite breakfast sandwich!! Unfortunately the past couple times I've ordered the cheddar cheese has become a slice of processed cheese. It completely changes the taste of the sandwich. Can you pls change it back to real cheese? I'd be willing to pay more for real cheese because it's just so much better. Thank you!
