REVIEWS OF Crew Collective & Cafe IN Montreal

Donny

Stunning architecture in an old bank. There are lots of tables and private booths for groups, perfect place for meeting for an hour or two or just getting some work done. Also nice that you can order online and they'll bring it to your spot.

M sonah

As far as cafes go, it's good. As far as locations go, however, you can't beat it. The building is absolutely gorgeous and hasn't been altered at all since its prior days as a grand old bank. Highly recommended!

Colin Nash

This place is just simply PERFECT! Don't know why the reviews are at 4.5 stars, should be at 5stars.

Mad Bell

I had a latte and my friend had a coffee, there were both left to be desired since they were not hot. The cashiers took their sweet time though. Umm the seats are uncomfortable. The location is impressive but not enough space for paying customers.

Malika Maria

Really nice looking spot, coffee is also pretty decent. Would consistently be my go to if I could guarantee their being room for 2 but it's really hit and miss. Just speaks about how popular it is.

Nicolas Martel

Very nice and cosy place, calm with a atmosphere of being inside a cathedral mixed with a library vibe.

Michael Sierra-Arévalo

The coolest co-working space I've ever been to. Absolutely breathtaking interior, great coffee, friendly staff, EPIC food and a great vine from the people working on the next big thing. Loved it.

Joseph Schultz

Must see and must eat/drink!!! Think of this place as a very fancy coffee shop/cafe that also has good food available. (Used to be a beautiful bank). Now it's a good place to hang out and chat with your friend OR a place to bring your laptop and some work. They have private booths for sitting in. Order and pay for your food and drinks first. Then they will call your name when your food is ready. Or order from your own table. Note: This place is dim/dark-ish.

Majid Rahimi

This cafe's creative idea to have a beautiful collective space to work in one of the most iconic buildings in Montreal was tarnished by the actual coffee and food served here. Having a past life as a barista judge, I was incredibly excited when I heard this cafe opened up in an old bank, and the high praise urged me to visit while on a business trip to Montreal. Unfortunately the actual coffee fell short of expectation. Words cannot describe the disappointment I felt when they gave me this cappuccino, the milk was frothed to death with no regards to extracting a tasty cup of coffee. To top it all off, a hard and old chocolatine really just ruined the entire experience. What a shame to have such an incredible space, a space with such rich history ruined by bad coffee and stale pastries. It might have just been my luck today, however ruining such a beautiful space with bad coffee and food is against everything Montreal stands for. I hope the management team takes a hard look at ensuring their coffee and pastries get the attention it deserves, the same attention that the builders of this historic bank put into creating this space in the first place.

M M

Stunning and surprisingly massive coffee shop / co-working space in old Montreal.

Wenzel Srb

The location is amazing. Located in old Montreal and inside a decommissioned bank. They have work spaces in booths that one may rent for collaborative work. Amazing architecture. Highly recommend to come in and if not to eat and drink the wonderful food and coffee but to look and take in the scene.

Anya Torres

Beautiful place, great coffee...but it has been super busy...still you have to visit! Forbes magazine named Crew the most beautiful co work cafe in the world.

Victoria Antonyuk

I loved it here!! The atmosphere and setting is so amazing. They offer space for customers just coming for a chat/snack and for those needing to study. I got the chai latte which I found to be average for the price, but I guess you pay for the beautiful building. Staff was friendly!

Carlos G. Oliver

This place gets 5 stars. The ambiance is so beautiful and empowering everything else takes a back seat. A great place to grab coffee with friend, work on your projects. There’s also self study/meeting rooms you can rent out in this place. You need to visit at least once.

alaika vasilakos

If you are looking for a gram worthy place in Montreal (and there are many) while taking a break then go visit crew collective and cafe. It has amazing interior while you can sip on some coffee. In terms of coffee, they use coffee beans from pilot coffee so the flavour is a bit muted.

Daniel Klein

Amazing cafe in an old bank building. Coffee is good, the food is good, the place is quiet, people are not loud which I loved and a lot of people reading or studying, chilling. A must if you’re into cafes.

DJ HIDDEN

A beautiful cafe in Old Montreal. The inside is aesthetically wonderful and you're free to look around, but there are some sections that are blocked off. There's also a security guard inside. We came here at about 2:30pm on a Sunday, and it was surprisingly very busy. We waited roughly 5-10 minutes to even enter the cafe area for takeout only. There are very, very limited seats so I suspect you'll have to wait longer if you're looking to dine in. There are many students in the area just working on their laptops, so that's probably why. Crew has a variety of caffeinated drinks and sandwiches, but I only ordered a London Fog. London Fogs are typically a hit-or-miss for me, and this one was a miss. There wasn't enough earl grey flavour for me and kind of tasted like slightly-fragrant steamed milk. After ordering, I waited for roughly 10 mins before receiving my takeout drink... There were lots of people working too so I guess that's just how busy they are.

Cathy Bogaart

The "must-visit" cafe in MTL! great place for having coffee/food, having meeting , dating and visiting the architecture ! I always bring friends to there to see and enjoy the wonderful atmosphere.

A grand place to use laptops and study. A reminder, the price already includes the tax and the tips.

Geoffrey Blanc

One of the most beautiful coffee shops I've been to. Aside from their tasty desserts and rich lattes, Crew Collevtive & Cafe actually has gorgeous architecture.

[ David ]

Awesome location and building. However the coffee and food are just average

Richard Taveira

Coffee was pretty good and place looked beautiful. A bit crowded though. But i didn't stay long so i cant elaborate more.

Jo Lord

The whole theme and set up is just unique coffee quality is above average and staff are super kind and friendly.

Leeloo Hsu

The restaurant used to be Royal Bank in the early 20th century. The smoked salmon bagel is so good!

yue dong

Just look at the pictures. You can’t afford not to go here. It’s absolutely stunning. It’s a fantastic spot to relax and get some work done too. The baristas know their stuff. I’m picky, and every single coffee is always perfect.

Nicholas Kovy

The decor alone makes it worth visiting this place, if only for a few minutes. The coffee and croissants are great as well. Note that it's usually very packed, so you might not find a place to seat down.

K J

Crew Collective cafe is a great place to study. The coffee is tasty and they have food. They even have 6 cabins for 2 persons min. to study with less noise. But, you may want to take your headphones with you because there's music (soft music).

Phoebe

Very tasty pastries and coffee. Servers were kind and prepared the three drinks quickly. I appreciated their patience. We got two chocolate croissants and one cheese croissant and they were all quite tasty. Didn’t love the chai latte but that was the only negative.

Russell Saint Cyr

Went here for two full day meetings. The meeting rooms in a beautiful, old style bank building. Friendly staff and good food and coffee. Made a memorable meeting.

Jeff Lu

As a student, Crew is one of my favourite places to work downtown (if you can afford it). The music is always good, the staff is friendly and professional and the ambience is great. The old bank building in which it was built is a historical sight with a really beautiful interior. Worth the trip.

Jonathan Monro

Cafe Crew is a hip cafe set in the grandiose Neon Classical RBC Royal Bank hall, build in 1928. The space has been delicately repurposed and the halls original features remain intact, including the grand marble staircase, a travertine floor, and the Renaissance inspired coffered ceiling, which is appropriately lit highlighting its beauty. The Cafe shares the hall with Co-worker space that is segregated off behind minimal glass. The is an ideal place to come, sit, eat, and work steadfastly on your laptop (if you wish). The staff were very friendly and spoke English perfectly. I only tried the teas, which were lovely but can’t wait to return and sample more on the menu. It’s just an great space to have lunch in, meet friends, or get some work done.

Rita Mou

Had our Xmas job party there, the food was Great, place looks nice. Music was too loud and alcohol selection was poor. Heineken only and just 5 bottles of liquor. Wine selection was good.

arMin Parnia

I visited here to grab a bite, and it was beautiful there! We got their bagel with smoked salmon, breakfast sandwich, matcha latte, and their coffee latte, and they all were delicious.

Sadia Anika Hasan

Super modern vibe in a historical building. The scale of the place and the artistic detail is awe-inspiring

Ling

an excellent cafe. great working cubes. you will feel excelent in an old bank. Menu is not too much rich. I can't say they make the best coffee in the world. but it can be among the best cafes in the world. prices are reasonable. meeting rooms can be rented for 30 dollars per hour. but I wish there was a disabled ramp. At all here is among 10-points locations

Fran C.

Beautiful coffee shop located in an old bank. Good service, but sometimes slow, especially if you're waiting for a coffee ordered through their website, at your table. Has a few private meeting rooms you can reserve in advance: they're great for a few people but are fairly small. All in all: Incredible setting with beautiful ambiance but sometimes slow service.

Place looks nice but not very welcoming

Green rachel

Beautiful space, with a laid back atmosphere. Easy to get a seat. The breakfast eggs are delicious, although it surprised me they were cold. Make sure you try their homemade chocolate bars.

Joana Zghaib

A very picturesque place to meet and work. The café uses an old 20s style Montreal bank converted into a co-working space. They have private rooms and common space. What I like is that while working you can order with your phone and they will bring. They have a wide selection of food but things got a bit pricy compare to before. It is super good though. The space is inspiring Great Gatsby style bringing inspiration to work & projects. The downside always too crowded.

Jack Yang

Is a magnificent place it is one of the most beautiful cafés in Montreal! Located on St-Jacques St in Old Montreal, the cafe building was built between 1926 and 1928 for the Royal Bank of Canada by the New York architect firm York & Sawyer. Many period elements of the building have been preserved by Crew Collective Café: a beautiful marble floor, a painted plaster ceiling decorated with brass light fixtures, as well as the teller’s wickets, also in brass. They have workplaces, meeting rooms and they also organize an event such as wedding, birthday, etc.

Machine

Great place to get work done and get inspired. The cafe has good drinks and cool artisanal (high quality and pricey) sandwiches, but the beautiful decor is definitely the reason to come. The only downsides are that they don't have many accessible outlets and it can get crowded easily.

Ferdinand J. Ephrem

What a beautiful place to work and have a coffee!

Jason Dacosta

Very fun coffee shop inside an old bank. I had a cappuccino and a quiche of the day while answering some email on their free WiFi. The coffee and food were really good with fast and efficient service. The WiFi worked well and there were a lot of people there to work. The old bank is a really cool concept, but they keep the room very dark, which made it hard to read my notes and papers, and it was impossible to find a plug anywhere for my laptop. I would go here again, especially to bring a friend to talk to. Not my first choice for working, though.

楊義

Coffee is amazing, especially their seasonal offerings and if they’re out of something, the baristas will gladly offer an alternative that’ll be close to the beverage you initially intended to get. I think everyone else has mentioned it already but it’s worth reiterating - interior is incredible (a “wooow” guaranteed when you first come in). Four stars because the drinks are severely overpriced.

Paul Siu

Beautiful ambience and grand architecture! The latte tasted great, but the drip coffee tasted bland. We also ordered an avacado toast. Our coffee was served immediately, but our food was being prepared in chaos. We merely finished our drinks by the time the food was served. The avacado tasted was flavorful, but again, we wished it was served with the coffee. The staff call you by name when your food is ready, which is hard to hear over the chatter of other patrons. I gave this place 4 stars based on the building. The lack of seating due to reserved areas, the lack of speed in food preparation, and the bland coffee might have put this place at 2-3 stars at best if it were not for the ambience.

Alberto Sbabo

The most amazing coffee I've had here. The food is exceptionally flavorful and delicious. Great place to get some work done: has large tables and comfortable seats. Cool atmosphere, and amazing architecture and interior decor.

Chad Cowan

Can't miss this memorable, historic building for a tasty cup of coffee! Comfy sofas are all around to enjoy the opulent ceilings. Bring a book, since almost everyone is college-aged and busy studying.

David Chen

Really great coworking space with plenty of room in a large and comfortable atmosphere

bruno korbar

Not only is the coffee fantastic, but the vibes and building are absolutely stunning. Friendly staff, plenty of space, and all in all my favorite cafe in Montreal. I'll come here everytime I visit!

yasaman ezazi

Having a cup of mocha latte and cake inside a gorgeous old RBC bank.

Gary H

This is a great bistro in an historic building....formerly a bank. They also have co-working place.

Jamaica Obeso

Nice place to work if you find yourself lacking inspiration or motivation. The cafe is descent and you can spend the day here no consumption required. They have plugs to charge your devices. And the best part is the decor. It's the perfect location to meet a client who isn't from Montreal. 100% waw factor guarantee! Win contracts go meet there for free

Rayhan Bhuyan

So beautiful and the food are good, specially the bagel

Darcy Lee

Can’t complain about coffee. The heart that they drew on my latte was pretty sweet. The hall was grand. Too many people for my taste. I guess could be ok as a coworking place if not for COVID. They had some food options as well, didn’t see much bakery items though. Update: Came once again and worked for around 4 hours from here. They have chargers, the internet was good and it was not too noisy, was able to have several meetings. Had a large soup of the day (which was not too big actually and came without bread) and a salmon bagel. Both were tasty.

Arturo Santisteban

Very good ambiance, and coffee with a good taste

Krystian Czesak

Great ambiance and coffee but portion is small. (Thats not an espresso.)

Nikki Man

It's a very nice cafe in such a beautiful historical old Royal Bank tower. Meeting rooms are available for rent and it's a nice work home. Food was great! We had bagels and sandwiches and tried the nitro coffee. It's good to come here just to enjoy the atmosphere as a tourist. I wish we have something like this in Toronto. One thing to note, they don't take credit card here. So bring cash.

Selwyn Anketell

Pastries available like cookies croissants and what not. They also have some sandwiches. I had a soy latte and it was super creamy very tasty, and my boyfriend had a black coffee and it was very mouthful - very tasty! The place though is just incredible. You can rent a little room to study or work for 30$/ hour or sit at the table or couch.

Travis Smithdorf

This is one of my favorite places to do work or write when I need a break from my office. The coffee and food are delicious and the atmosphere is lovely. Just arrive early or you might have trouble finding a spot during busy periods for students, like midterms and exams.

N Orozco

Good variety, I seldom go there. You can find stuff that you cannot find in some other places. Good quality stuff! I would go there every time in the future. You should look at what they offer and choose what is best for you! Very nice place and I will go there again in the future, I like that is not far from where I live and it's not very busy in the week-ends. I'm sure you'll find it pleasant easy accessible and comforting.

Phaidra Duchastel-Vassaramva

The main attraction of this place is their location and the interior design and architecture of the coffee shop. Yes, that itself has it's charm just like many other things within Old Montreal however the vibe of the place seemed rather cold. I felt like I was sitting in a libary type setting filled with tourists on their phones trying to snap their next perfect Instagram photo. The layout of the chairs and tables are very cramped and it lacks a cozy atmosphere. I also found it silly that there's a member's only area and that the daily rental for the private work booths are ridiculously priced. I haven't tried many things off their menu apart from the matcha latte and coffee but they were average and not worth the commute unless you happen to be in the area.

Dan P

Great coffee, incredible building, super fast wifi, tons of plugs. This place was made for working from. The main area does get quite busy, but I have always been able to find a solo seat (finding seats together is harder). The building alone is worth coming for, but it helps that this is also a great place to work from. You can order the coffee and food from your table. Their coworking offering is very reasonably priced and not crowded at all. They have day passes and meeting room time slots if you're just in town temporarily and don't want to worry about sitting in the public area.

Wenfeng Yang

Honestly too expensive for what you get, the latte was good but the food was just average. The location is what makes it 3-stars for me.

Beatrice Soucy

Very good option for a coffee (or tea or whatever...) and a quick bite, place is very clean and it looks really nice!. They have a few rooms you can use for group meetings and an open area with a few couches and chairs to relax.

Benji Dunaief

Super nice cafe. The place is gorgeous and they serve good coffee. If you come early enough you can find an empty booth to work with other friends or colleagues. The meeting rooms are also nice but you have to pay for them. The online ordering and service is very nice and fast and has a nice selection.

Janice Law

Cool place to hang out, they do have a “office space” for you to rent if you do need to work on some hard-core business activities. Good coffee, they do also have some pastry and food. But it does get a little bit “Internet famous“ vibe so be prepared to be in line and fight your spot to sit among all the tourists. Cool spot to go visit.

Cris and Kaye Tagamolila

Great place for studying with great menu. Always busy. I hope they can extend their opening hours.

NELS NELLIS

Cannot say enough amazing things about this place. The space speaks for itself! Good coffee as well!

Yuta Lee

Interior is so pretty. We got there around 12pm, already packed. We thought it won't open coz of the Easter holidays, but it opens and have a lot of people. The price is included tip, a little bit expensive than the other cafe. The breakfast sandwich is $10...the kelp seasons too much salt. Otherwise will be perfect. We also order the soup of the day - squash garnish with coconut milk. It is very good. The natural scone is very good, if they come with butter, I can eat a dozen.

Jason Botzas

An absolutely delicious coffee and beautiful surroundings no matter pickup or during normal times — a lovely place to sit. ☕️

Julia K.

One of the most beautiful spaces in Montreal. The staff is very friendly, the coffee is delicious and the work spaces are perfect. Great for meeting clients!

Benjamin G.

Excellent spot for a work session or just to read a book or browse the internet. The place is often busy, so sometimes you gotta wait for a bit to get a place to sit, but it's worth it. The internet is free and quite fast. The menu is average price, and the quality is great, their cappuccino and hot chocolate are superb, plus other snacks options. Friendly staff!

Eva

This is a must see while visiting Old Montréal. The Crew Collective & Café was established in 2016. This building is now open to the general public. It truly is a stunning work of art with beautiful coffered ceilings. The intricate tilework mesmerizes the eyes. We had a Fairmount bagel with salmon. The Bagel and Saint-Henri coffee are excellent. The nicely preserved old teller windows are where the coffee and food are served. I believe that the kitchen is in behind and the washrooms are located downstairs (you need a key to access them). The old Bank Manager's office was converted to a Zen relaxation room. One of the fringe benefits of renting space there. Phorbes ranked this number one (1) of five (5) Most Beautiful Coworking spaces in the World. The old 1928 RBC Building in the Vieux Port. I am so grateful that we are able to enjoy the beautiful architecture. It really is something to see for yourself.

eyal benezra

Great ambiance. Love the idea, building is beautiful. The coffee is alright, not really good. Not really bad. Definitely on the bitter side, and kinda think they burnt the espresso.

Caitlin Smith

A beautiful coffee shop in an old historic building. I had an orange juice which was amazing and a chocolate croissant which was the best one I had on our trip! I would highly recommend!

Adrien Bisson

One of the best cafés I ever been. Amazing staff , great atmosphere, great food and of course great coffee. The architecture makes it a unique café. A must go to place to relax and recharge your battery.

Chul Sunwoo

Look everyone knows the decor is insane at Crew. But it doesn't always make for a great venue. First off, it's absolutely packed on the weekends with tourists. Yes, I know, Old Montreal, but still, it's not a place where you can enjoy a coffee, or get some work done, way too busy. Second, the tables and chairs aren't that comfortable. And so I find that in between the tourists and seating it doesn't make for a good enjoyable coffee shop. Last negative point, there's no natural daylight, so although beautiful, the place is a tad depressing. Coffee is stellar, food is good, service is typically friendly and prices are more than fair. Although I live and work close by I almost never go because the experience is such a miss.

Jase

Awesome! Where else can you be part of a luxurious bank and enjoy cafe.

Sascha Vogel

Take out

Darya K

Amazing GF treats and grilled cheese!! Plenty of outlets to plug in electronics if necessary, WiFi, and reasonable prices.

What's Up Montreal

Beautiful cafe set in a former bank building space. Original architectural details have been restored, and some original furniture are purposed for cafe use. Good variety of seating spaces, from large communal tables, to small conference rooms to comfy lounge chairs. Food comes from various local purveyors. Definitely come early in the morning when the natural light pours in back from the back window, creating a dramatic effect.

Ashley N

Great space with amazing ceilings. Service can be really slow and the prices are high compared to other spots (while portions are smaller), but if you want to work: that's the place. If there's some #punintended of course.

Crew Collective & Cafe is GOALS when it comes to the inside decor and the overall atmosphere. We got 2 Macchiato's which were delicious and not too over priced. For bakery items, we got a blueberry scone, a japaleno cheese scone and a cheesewheel. I wouldn't recommend getting bakery items because even if you ask they don't warm them up for you. So everything we got was cold and dry with no butter either. We didn't know there was a kitchen menu aside from the bakery items otherwise we would've ordered from there. Overall, busy cafe and definitely recommend if your visiting for the 1st time like us.

Rachel Mary

Crew Collective & Cafe is a co-working space/cafe in the historic Royal Bank tower, once the tallest building in Canada and the entire British Empire. It's been restored while maintaining it's majestic presence. Once you enter, walk passed security and up the stairs to the giant cafe area. Order coffee and pastries at the bar and have a seat on a nearby couch, at the bar, or in one of the trendy booths. My wife and I ordered lattes. They come more creamy and milk forward than coffee forward, but I like that. It just needed a little simple syrup.

Lydia Irving

Great atmosphere for working or studying. I highly recommend it????

Noah Wolfe

As far as cafe merits go, its certainly good enough to return to. Coffee was excellent, as was my made to order breakfast sandwich. What really makes this space shine, however, is the beautiful space in a historic banking hall. Fantastic meeting spot with private workspaces available to rent.

Erman Akman

AMAZING architecture and history to enjoy as one enjoys freshly made espresso or coffee drinks. Fresh juices and snacks are available as well. The barista is friendly and very helpful in suggesting the best places to visit for weary and lost travelers.

Francis Charland-Brunelle

The environment was incredible. There were so many people taking pictures of the space while I was there. The coffee was really nice as well. Well worth your time to stop in if you find yourself in the area.

Tina Sharpe

We had amazing time there, the place is really beautiful ???? I tried the maple cake it was so yum the coffee also good ????????

Stephen O' Farrell

nice coffee and great environment!

Austin Gilmour

I absolutely love this place. The baristas are excellent and the service is efficient, friendly, and relaxed. The room itself is breathtaking, and never too loud like smaller cafes tend to be. The coffee is the best in town! I am definitely thinking of becoming a member so I can work here. A true gem of Montreal!

Khorshid Yaghmai

Nice place, good for study and work too! You can rent the office in the corner for the business reasons or meeting with clients. The prices are reasonable but not so many places to eat or drink if you're in rush. You have to share a table with someone maybe.

Naeim Roudehchi

Great stop for anyone looking to relax with a good coffee and some food or grab a sandwich to go! Collective is a shared work space for the nomadic internet workaholic and some Semi-permanent resident companies. PS it's in a bank!

Michel Hilani

Great to take a coffee. Amazing design and architecture. Free wifi. Recommended it.

Vitali T.

Excellent atmosphere and cold brew!!

Kyle Kolacek

Superb ambiance, from the exterior it doesn't look like a cafe hides in this historical building. The concept is well developed and worked to make it accessible to everyone. Highly recommend visiting on site or on the web. You can even come in, sit down and order from their website!

Kyle Bard

Excellent environment to have a meeting. Great drink selections. Didn't have chocolate when i visited. Very historical cafe.

Alexis Mattos-Vabre

Coolest looking coffee shop I've ever been to. I wouldn't say their coffee is the highest quality or tasted amazing (didn't taste bad), but the food was incredible. The barista tamped the espresso three times which was really strange but the staff was friendly and their equipment looked clean and well taken care of.

Eric Fortin

Cool setting, friendly staff, great food!

Luis Miguel Gonzalez

One of the most beautiful coffee shops I have visited!

ayoub etters

I knew the city has numerous unique vibe cafes but this one definitely left me surprised. Loved the private rooms people can book and the cafe had mixture of both antique and modern feel. Wud love to study here in the future.

Hyeyoung Byun

Really good coffee, picturesque location and cozy atmosphere. Lots of space to study/work or catch up with a friend.

Daniel Coutinho

The food and cafés are pretty great. But the charm is the place. In the hall of this historic building you feel in a very secure place. It's quite unique and you can command your food from your place and someone brings it to you. So if you don't like social interactions it's perfect

Howard Shinder

I've never seen anything like it - a cafe that looks like a train station. Visit here for a really unique experience! Had to do a double take when walking in through the front just to make sure I was walking into the right place. The only downside is that there is limited seating and the place was super packed.

Stephen K

This is a great spot to grab a cup of coffee and do some work/ read. Crew Cafe is located in a historic building which creates a very unique and fancy vibe. The coffee is great and the service is quick. I love this spot!

Haritos Kavallos

Located in a former Royal Bank of Canada building, CREW Collective Café is the brainchild of two tech entrepreneurs who have taken it upon themselves to offer creatives a 'hub' of sorts to work in. There are large tables and WiFi perfect for long days of studying and writing and work 'boxes' available on a first come, first served basis perfect for group projects and collaboration sessions. The menu is equally well designed to fuel you through your working day - gourmet sandwiches, a selection of coffees and tisanes, not to mention mini doughnuts! Definitely a must try and a promising newcomer to the Montréal coffee scene.

Emilie Desrosiers

Unique atmosphere with delicious food and good coffee

Nancy Nguyen

Beautiful place and great for working on your laptop. Good coffee and London Fog as well as their bakery goods.

Lzz Johnk

Beautiful building. Great location to work in. It looks nice, the coffee is good and reasonably priced, and the pastries are also good. It is a bit crowded however. I recommend it.

Patrick Balyan

A place de see. Incredible architecture. Great spot to work also a great coworking space.

kerry morrison

If you're in the area, you have to visit this cafe. The space they've carved out inside this old bank is amazing. They actually have tour groups come down to the cafe. The food and drinks are also great. Though, the selection seemed a little limited and just a bit expensive. But at least one visit is definitely worth it.

Ariana Seferiades

This has to be the most amazing cafe I've ever visited. It is indeed a royal cafe. You have to be lucky in order to find a seat in here.

David Woyke

Loved this Cafe. It's a very unique coffee shop with great coffee. It's a must visit in Montreal

Sahar Sahyoun

Great place to grab coffee and people watch or sit and work all while admiring the beautiful architecture of the converted space.

Elly G

Was in town for a weekend and our friends brought us here! This place is very cute and I love how they utilized the old bank setting. I ordered a london fog and my friend got a chai tea latte. Both were very good and you can taste the strong tea flavour in both, which I loved! The only thing with the london fog was the lavender that was sprinkled on it. I wish they had asked if I wanted it, because I found it a bit overwhelming for my taste. If I'm around the area, I'd love to get some work done here. It wasn't too loud so it was nice to chat with friends this time around.

Magnus Morton

This place is not your traditional cafe. I love the coffee here and the space is beautiful. It’s probably the best cup of coffee i have had in the city. Just a warning though: it’s very much “third wave” coffee: it’s not extremely hot and it’s very strong. Sure, that’s not for everyone but hey you can very easily ask for it hotter and add sugar. What’s different about the space is that it’s both a cafe area and a coworking space at the back. I don’t recommend the cafe area for a working and homework space if you’re going there to sit there for an long time. The free to use cafe has 4 long tables, 4 couch areas and some bar seating. It’s a decently sized space. However, it seems to be a very popular tourist location and it can get extremely loud. There was also a food tour passing through while I was there. If you do need to work and have the budget for it, I do recommend the paid coworking space in the back. I took a day pass for 30$ and was privy to a private space with access to a kitchen and a “zen” room for meditation purposes. Really cool concept and i’m definitely will be back to work in the coworking space... or to take friends from out of town :).

Great place to grab a coffee and breakfast. We went at 8.30am on a Saturday and were practically the only people there. Just a heads up, you have to walk through the lobby and past a security desk to get there. I already saw the photos of the salmon bagel online and it looked good. This was one of the rare occasions where it tastes better than the photos. I got a "London Fog" latte, which was just ok, I like my coffee's quite strong and even for a latte it tasted like there was no coffee in it. Still, for bagel and the chance to sit in such a wonderful building o would recommend.

Andy Ng

Great coffee shop. The old bank interior is amazing, worth for just the visit if you are around! Good selection of coffee and pastries. Plenty of space to work on your laptop. Light is a bit low which is good for the ambience but not great to work. Overall a great space!

Tally Pun

Beautiful place! Delicious drinks! There were a lot of people for a weekday but enough seating for everyone.

Olivier Laporte

Open public WiFi and private rooms to have meetings and work while enjoying a good cold brew and some scones. This place is a great example of reuse of historic buildings. This space use to be the main branch of one of the biggest banks of Canada. After a walking tour in the area this is the best place to rest while drinking coffee. Take all the pictures possible to this architectural landmark.

Val Schuman

Very impressive huge usage of space in the heart of old Montréal. My matcha latte though was $7?? What? But my flat white was top! Very professional staff. The crowd is interesting too. Love the vibe. Will Be back

Daniel Laventure

Great place to work! Stunning building. The food is great. Coffee is okay, not amazing. It gets very busy so sometimes it takes a long time to get served.

Courtney Corner

Such a neat place to study! And you can reserve private rooms!

Eric Frank

Incredible place and delicious food. Cafe is at former Bank of Canada building. Ate a delicious Aspagus and Feta Quiche with salad. Pricey but worth it.

Zeke Gancena

Pretty beautiful interior. Quite the look for a cafe. We tried stopping in on December 27 in the afternoon and it was absolutely packed with a lineup. So we left. There are plenty of cafes to get a good coffee in the area.

Robert

Lovely atmosphere, it was a bank building before and now it is a gorgeous coffeeshop! You should try it for sure after lockdown!

Patricia Rotschild

The cafe environment is awesome, but the quality is really bad! It’s good for students who want to spend a time for reading! It’s not a cafe ! It’s kind of study room!

Come for the place, stay for the coffee. The building is spectacular. Since it is almost always crowded, it can be hard to get a seat. The barista (singular, since they don't seem to know that one café can have several baristas) is constantly overwhelmed... But when you finally get your drink, it's worth the wait.

Tina Eickhoff

Located in a picturesque former train station, this is a lovely place to get some work done if the price point is not discouraging. Lovely ambience, but the menu is extremely pricey. Usually a fight to find a seat in the winter.

Necmi Erdogmus

Do yourself a favour and get there early, study/stay there for a while, and just soak the beauty in. It's so gorgeous you will see tourist groups and wedding photoshoots during your stay! It's a beautiful cafe. The nicest in Montreal. They have great food, water, and comfortable seats. All the things I need and love when studying in a cafe. Keep in mind the food is a bit on the expensive side but you get what you pay for! They deliver to your seat (only available if you order online through their website) and regularly clean up the tables so you are never encumbered with your items. My only complaints are lighting, noise, and seating. Since it's mostly natural light, it can get a bit somber which is hard when you want to study. It's also always got background noise. It's not loud but it is distracting. Seating is on a first come first serve basis so don't wait till it's lunch time before deciding to head out. This is a must see!

Anthony Smith

The space is stunning. The old bank teller booths were converted into meeting rooms. The espresso was smooth. Great place to enjoy a cup.

Alexandre Langlois

Is a nice place with good coffee. Is a quite place to work and talk. The building has historie in some way and looks pretty fancy.

Sabrina Boisvert

Beautiful architecture. Good WiFi for work. The music is relatively loud if you would like to have a call or really concentrate on work. Bring your own headset with noise cancellation. There are some open booth, not closed door rooms, to use by the general public. More quiet zones behind the pay-wall for paid users.

Maxime Rouiller

Crew Cafe is located in a beautiful building that used to be a bank back in the day. The lighting and general mood of the cafe unite to create a relaxing atmosphere for weary travelers. The coffee and tea is top quality and the pastry selection is quite enough to satisfy anyone. Enjoy! Put this on your list of must-see locations while in Montreal.

Félix Chiasson

Incredible atmosphere, great food and coffee. Price was good for the quality. Absolutely worth a visit, even if you don't like coffee.

Jonathan Lahue

What a stunning old building to have breakfast at our first morning in Montreal. The vanilla latté was fantastic and the #4 Toast (mine was on an English Muffin) is like an explosion of amazing flavors in your mouth! Cozy little booth rooms are your best bet for privacy.

Justine Soucy

The Coffee is in an historic bank. I let you imagine the beauty of the architecture! The concept of the coffee shop is sample, seat down, order your coffee or food online, go get it at the bar and enjoy your time!

anil kuldip

Great coffee place, building itself is worth the visit

Zitta McHake

Great looking cafe! Love the study spots! Long wait for food!

Alexander Cecil

I loved the place. The muffins were delicious and the latte too. Bit the nitro coffee... it just didn't do it for me.

Ivy A

Great environment but I found that the music would be a bit too loud at times. The prices of the coffees and food tend to be on the expensive side.

Steph Welsh

Very surprised at the high reviews of this place. Much darker than expected with the big windows, the WiFi was very slow, and the it was $7 for a latte. Also packed. I would expect if you are not a paying member, it is not worth it. I did not enjoy the ambiance and was quite disappointed. I was hoping it would be a new study space for me.

Nick Bedard

Most stunning café I’ll ever get to go to!!! Great workspace too!

em sp

very special cafe with high quality food

Eleanor Anthony

This is a place you never want to leave. Amazing coffee. Amazing ambiance. A place to sit down andf get some work done or sit down and simply enjoy the building.

The. best. cafe. in town? :D amazing atmosphere in an old bank. decent coffee and cookies!!! Hopefully won't become a victim of its own success - tour groups actually come here now lol

Rachael C (MsRachieboo)

Beautiful setting, well laid out and the food...the basic smoked salmon on a beagle had nothing basic to it. The fresh matchstick veggies topping it made it so fresh and satisfying. Spectacular architecture.

Sandya S

Coffee is very good. Lively and noisy place, lots of tourist. Decor is unique and historical. Worth going, especially if you are visiting Montreal

Sunny Day

What a gorgeous place, not just to have coffee or a snack, but to work! I loved the concept. And the building! Just beautiful, and I love the fact that they kept the original bank setup and adapted as a coffee shop. If you have a chance, order a bagel with smoked salmon, it is just delicious. You may also be interested in “The Old Montreal Tasting & Cultural Walking Tour” which starts here (tickets online). Highly recommend.

Peter Vanhove

I’m in love with this place ???? Such an incredible atmosphere and food is so delicious. Try their salmon bagel ????

Sara Tavakolian

A rustic old authentic meeting space, with coffee shop and conference rooms available to book. The corporate look makes it great for bankers and traditional executive. Not the kind of place to go to if your hip or funky!

Jacqueline Kort Mascort

It’s no secret, Crew is one of the most beautiful coffee shops in Montreal. It’s popular among locals and tourists. The architecture is incredible since it was built in the 20s for the Royal Bank of Canada. They carry pâtisseries from various places in Montreal and the coffee is good. It’s a great place to meet up with friends.

deepti sharma

The best cafe ever in Montreal! Nice place for studying and working!

Cédric Servay

This space is so beautiful and you definitely feel transported in some way. The latte was good, as was the croissant. I also appreciate the variety of seating options!

Allison Correia

As a Chinese the bread and sandwich is not my favorite. But here the Breakfast Sandwich is my pick! I strongly recommend that the people like me, must give it a try.

Alexandra Papavramidi JULIEN

Great ambience! Is hard to find a seat in peak hours! Most of the people is working in their laptops

Jenyfer Jerbi

Cute spot. Busy during the day. Private rooms if youre a member. Coffee is great but expensive. 7$for an iced latte

Parm Thind

Very hip little cafe. It's in a gorgeous old converted bank and they've kept many architectural features as a nod to that history. They've got a wide variety of hot and cold beverages as well as baked snacks and light lunch fare. Great place for a quiet workstation or to just soak up the ambiance.

Noel Booker

Beautiful place. Really bad espresso. So much that I had to put both, my girlfriend's coffee and mine, in the trash. Moreover, really bad service. The female barista served us with so much irritation and disdain. She seemed "francophobe". Don't waste your time, there's a lot of other coffee shop around there.

Smári R Teitsson

This is an awesome place. The high ceilings and the beautiful details makes this place a perfect place to have a coffee. The coffee is great, their baristas know their job. Viennoiseries are delicious. Definitely I'll come back!

Yoshuna

Amazing use of an old bank. The gorgeous main hall is used for the cafe; which serves excellent coffee and lattes, among other food and beverage. After 10pm, a bar opens in the old bank vaults.

Benjamin Lind

The only good thing about this place is the architecture. First turn off is the menu, which is a screen that keeps switching from one page to another with useless pictures in between. Secondly, food and drinks are priced inadequately. In addition, the service over the counter is straight up rude and not helpful. Walk in, take a couple of pictures and walk out, there are better places to eat or work.

Joe Nixon

It's not a simple beautiful place it's a valuable stunning place with history. My favorite in Montreal. Honestly we're lucky to be able to enjoy such an amazing building for free; in other countries they would make people pay to enter places that aren't as nice and elegant as this one.

Raj Sarma

Great, unique place! The cafe is in a former bank building and you order your coffee at the old bank counter. That makes for a great atmosphere and the coffee and baking are good too!

AB Sumab

Great food an amazing decor located in an old vintage bank, it is usually packed, they have vegan options.

A R

Such a gorgeous space! The hostess was really warm and let us know that service and seating is on a first come first served basis. The menu is limited but they do things well. And the prices were incredibly reasonable The wine is only by the bottle :( Again the space is so beautiful - I just didn't want to leave

R B

Great coffee, pastries & architecture! Definitely worth a visit & revisit. The most unique places to get coffee. Order up & hang out just to admire the architecture for awhile. It's actually a really peaceful spot to work, too.

James Dean Trepanier

Great cafe for studying. The booths are wonderful and private. The wifi is fast. The beverages are tasty!

cain Kuri

Former bank turned into a coffee shop. Definitely a hot spot for old Montreal. Vintage vibe with a hint of luxury. Cool place to get your work done in style.

Windy Poulard

Only able to squeeze in one visit but great atmosphere and food/coffee. This former bank is able to be grand and cozy at the same time. We arrived early to avoid the crowd.

Brandon Cole

Incredible old bank, reminded me of grand central in nyc. Transformed into a beautiful modern coffee cafe and work space.

Eric Lee

Delicious cafe tucked into an old and very ornate Bank building. If you are an architecture buff, it's a must see. This is a very popular destination for locals. You can even rent meeting rooms and workspaces. Perfect for freelancers.

Brock Rowlands

Amazing ambiance Great food Love the experience

Sébastien Gagné

Went there twice on the same trip. Amazing architecture and design. Nicely done to reuse the old Royal Bank Branch as cafe and co-working space. Our first visit was Sunday morning. Just the right amount of people. The tables and chairs were 40% filled. Had the raisin danish and smoke salmon bagel. Danish was the best I have ever had. The bagel from Fairmount Bagel was decent. Price is a bit steep at $13 with no side salad. We went back on Monday noon again. The place was just manic. 99% full. Danish was sold out. Got a quiche instead AND the smoke salmon bagel again. The quiche was not heated thoroughly and had to send it back. So if you plan to take pictures and have food with no service mistake, go on a quiet day.

Michelle Wang

can't believe we can have such luxury place for just coffee, it is more than a coffee shop

Frank

Very hip little cafe. It's in a gorgeous old converted bank and they've kept many architectural features as a nod to that history. They've got a wide variety of hot and cold beverages as well as baked snacks and light lunch fare. Great place for a quiet workstation or to just soak up the ambiance.

Marie-Claire Asseko

You can order online!!! This place was truly charming and it has a nice modern taste. Delicious treats and great place to get some work done!

Denise De Figueiredo

Very cool place. Great for getting out and working remotely. The food is very good and the environment is a lot of fun. Also it's a great Downtown location.

Rabih El Hage

Amazing place. The structure of the place is impressive and really fresh.

Shawn Hagewood

The environment was awesome. I can imagine that there were lots of stories happening in this beautiful building. Maybe the meals’ price were high, but I think it was worth to visit it.

Miriam Feltham-Lauzon

What shines the most about crew café is the café itself. The coffee is overpriced (as expected) but good all the same. If you're looking to network or impress someone on a date, this is great location.

Ivan F

Absolutely stunning collective work place and cafe! I came here by recommendation and I have to say, I am was not disappointed. The cafe was certainly of good quality, and the space is large and inspiring - especially given that it’s located in the lobby area of an old bank. It’s also in the old port which provides you with an excellent opportunity to walk around in one of the most beautiful places on island.

Claudia Zalega

The place is beautiful really, but the staff is terrible... The girl that served me looked like she hated her job, she was not nice and had a very heavy vibe. Unfortunately, this is what i remember most form my visit at Crew Café. No matter how beautiful a place is, if the people who work there make you feel miserable, you won't want to go back.

Esther lee

I spent a day working from this cafe, and it's so beautiful. If you're nearby, at least stop for a coffee so you can admire the beauty of the building. If you are looking for a place to do some work for a few hours, it's perfect for that too — multiple tables to sit at, wifi, restrooms, the whole deal. They have small "meeting rooms" you can reserve on an hourly basis if you have to take a call, or just need some quiet. There's also a coworking space open only to members through some glass doors.

Kavery Kandasamy

Very cool interior. However all the nice spots are reserved for members and when we got there all the pastries were unavailable. Furthermore, their online order payment method which is a cool idea is not secure and my browser gave warnings.

Daniel Goldwater

Somewhat inflated prices, but you're paying for the real estate. The interior in this old commercial building is stunning & definitely worth at least 1 visit. There's a desk and/or meeting room rental service available too for students & business folks.

Benedict Cassie

Coffee.. very tasty Food.. Not recommend (oily breakfast sandwich) Service… ok there are many ppl so getting food is little bit late! I can take a food when I drunk 2/3 of coffee???? Interior… awesome (take pic! & post instagram!) If you are tourists, go and order just coffee and take a picture

Dana R

I always come here whenever I’m in Montreal. It is pricey, but It’s such a lovely atmosphere and the coffee is quite good.

Sr. Master Scott Karpiuk

We had expected a small Cafe place, but when we visited it was next level experience. Place was really well managed by an amazing staff. We opted for takeaway but their dine in experience would be much better because of the ambience. We had ordered smoked salmon Bagel which costed $14 but tasted amazing, Bagel was nicely toasted, salmon tasted really fresh and cream cheese was too good. We also ordered cappuccino which was also good. Fancy place for good vibes!

Justine

Amazing. The location is phenomenal and the coffee is beyond good.

Scuba Man

Beautiful expansive cafe created with studying in mind, with rentable group and individual study rooms and ample tables. 4 stars instead of 5 for the lack of any gluten-free food at a cafe that otherwise has pastries and sandwiches. I’m a fan of the indie rock music choice, but if music bothers anyone while studying, it may not be the best environment.

Fares Antaki

This cafe is one of a kind. It's situated in the Old RBC Bank building and their cash counter is at the old bank teller counter. It's big and spacious. You will be amazed by the architecture. You can also rent a mini office their so you can work and enjoy your coffee in private. Overall, it is one of the best independent cafe in Old Montreal or Montreal itself!

David Ross

We always love stopping in for a cappuccino when in old port. Architecture is incredible.

Dess C

Gorgeous place, good strong coffee. Best coffeeshop to study at in Montreal.

Khrystine Torres

This is a very nice location just to walk in. I recommend maybe going there to work rather than enjoy a cosy coffee. I thought that the place was very crowded and the lighting a bit too dim for me. However do not get me wrong you need to get inside and see how these people change a bank hall into a coffee and meeting rooms.

Austin Graff

Most gorgeous Cafe I've ever been to in the world, and I've been to a few countries. The place is breath taking, you must visit! And their food is very healthy. Super busy though, you might have to wait 15 minutes to find a place to sit on week end days.

Tamika Dorrington

This cafe sits within an old financial banking center. A hole in the wall hidden from passerbys. Remarkably high ceilings, hip music, freshly baked treats, and amazing coffee. Skip the line by ordering online via their website and have it delivered to your seat.

Heeyoung Park

It is an awesome place, wonderful interior, high quality coffee, and great experience in Montreal. It is little bit expensive, but it is enough worth.

Kevin Hinton

I don't even like kale and they made it taste so good.

Karina Kisselite

Daniel Green

I'm a coffee fanatic and always looking for me places to try out. This place is amazing! In the old Montreal bank now acting as a coffee venue/rental rooms for work and design and relaxing hang out. Stunning architecture, top quality coffee and pour and excellent food to go along with it!

Wayne Tran

Located in the historical old financial district, it's a cafe converted from an old bank. There are private rooms to book for business meetings or to work alone for a fee. The food us amazing. I had the smoked salmon bagel. There are long tables with chairs and some sofas and small coffee tables to relax or work. There are also higher bar tables with tall chairs to do work or read. There are usb plugs to charge your devices. Big open space in an architecturally fantastic atmosphere. It is located steps away from the Square Victoria OACI metro station. Get out at St. Jacque exit.

Leila Rafati

Very conveniently located cafe in a rather avant-garde building, which I understand used to be a bank. It contains a work area as well for all hipsters-with-macbooks kind of folk - make sure you ask the staff for a day pass! This is 5-star place in terms of service* and atmosphere, however, the coffee was less than perfect (a tad over-extracted), and the kitchen was somewhat messy, which is hard to overlook. *is it just me who finds it weird that people in the US actually take your card away to make a charge? Thanks, Canada for being a civilized country. NOTE: the kitchen closes at 16:00

Fiona Simpson

The bank is truly beautiful and magestic. The setting for this cafe is worth seeing but the coffee and food is worth staying for.

Greg Tran

I could give zero if it was possible. The interior design is beautiful but the space gets a soul by humans! The crew at the front was a ride girl that didn't welcome and talk to us. She was there and I thought it is a sculpture that you need to ask questions to make her talk to you. She finally didn't let us take a seat while there was plenty of places available inside she said you have to wait! Worst experience ever and not as I expected

Cali

Amazing place to studying. Unbelievable this used to be bank! Such a big place with a good amount of people yet surprising the sound is not as loud as other coffee shops. Good sellections of food. Staff is nice.

Martin Stuart

Superb service superb food superb owners and staff

Christopher Emerson

Their coffee is decent, not amazing, but above average. The location is very stunning though, and that alone makes this place worth a visit if you ask me.

La Rs

Stunning display of elegance, history, architectural design and beauty mixed in with the hip, study-hard vibe of students, younger crowds and entrepreneurs who use this space as their creative or study haven. This place is massive and imposes itself onto you with its historical flair, super high ceilings, and brassy shine. I love spending my time here, ordering coffee, food, snacks and soaking in the "buzz" of the place.

Katy Hung

Majestic place to work with your computer and enjoy high quality food and coffee. Will come back always.

Rohan Menon

Due to pandemic restrictions, we just grabbed and had the order in car. The place looks gorgeous and beautiful. The batista was very friendly and suggested a good drink for our order. The cheese bagel was warm and delicious...and the salmon cheese bagel was extraordinary. I never had such a great experience and it was just amazing. The location is very close to downtown Montreal so it's a perfect spot to grab a Cortado and enjoy a bagel while sightseeing the beautiful Montreal. Great experience. Totally recommended.

Arisona Billah

Great place, super impressed. Coffee was excellent and the breakfast sandwich made me want to come back.

Ross Erickson

So unique!! An incredibly beautiful café in an old bank with high tech ordering options and connected workspaces!

Alison Yuhas

Great place to sit and get some work done. Huge space. Good coffee. Good people. Good stuff.

Clair Lam

Bill Boyd

Ambience is cool but we waited 30 minutes for 2 lattes. Overpriced as well.

kennedy johnson

Such a cool place. Great if you’d like to take photos. The food is generally healthy here and service is quick and kind. Coffee is also really good here. I’ll be back to try more of their menu.

Evan Momios

Amazing coworking spot. The view is breathtaking, their americano tastes amazing and the Wi-Fi is fast. What's not to like? If I dig to find something, maybe just the background music that is quite loud, although the music selection is most of the time great. Make sure you bring your own headphones just in case. All in all, great spot to get work done. I'll go back for sure!

Sarah M

Beautiful set up (amazing architecture). Coffee quality very good though service is a little slow. Would still highly recommend. We booked a room for a AM and meeting and the room was nice, had a whiteboard with dry erase markers however it did get a little hot after midway through the morning.

Najla Al Ghaithi

This is Probably By far the best looking coffee shop ☕️ I’ve had the chance to laid my eyes upon ???? Food is very good with good a menu , definitely should try their Lox ???? on bread with avocado ???? ???? They have some good coffee ☕️ and good tea as well ???? Prices overall were a little high but not exaggerated considering the place. It’s located inside of an Old Bank, no wonder this place is huge and so beautiful, take a look on the ceiling and the architecture, wow ! Good place for a first Date, as they hold many tables mostly occupied by people, students. They also have couches and comfortable chairs in the middle of the hall. It’s also possible to held work meetings or reserve some private rooms for work ???? Restrooms are one level below

Tricia Mangat

Beautiful former bank building. Very majestic. Good snacks and even some vegan options. Possibility for one on one meetings (free) as well as larger separees $25 per hour.

Jack Carter

Really like this coffee shop, probably one of the best in Montreal, however I must give a two star review as power bars at the tables almost always seem to be not working. You buy a coffee, sit down in this great coffee shop and prepare to get productive only to find out that you cant plug in your laptop cause the power bars are not working, but all is good, you change tables to find another bar and realize the bars are not working at any tables! It makes me not want to come here. Please fix this. Thanks.

Guy Tsror

The atmosphere alone is reason to go here, but I really did enjoy my fruits-of-the-sea bagel! This café used to be a bank, back in the day-- a very fancy one, with vaulted ceilings and ancient-looking table lamps with built-in pen and paper holders. Upon first walking in, it's easy to mistake this place for a museum or university building, but when you walk up the steps to the level of the coffee shop, the bank teller windows give it away. My latté was underwhelming, really. And the place was expensive, to me, but I'm from mid-Michigan, and Montreal is a fab city, so most people likely prepare themselves for the ghastly price tags on things like coffee. No free wifi, though. :(

aazee 1982i (Aazee)

I come here way too often. I practically lived here last year. Great space to work in. There are some little annoyances though. The outlets are under the table and ridiculously annoying to get to. I have to crawl around people's legs to plug in... get one of those tables with outlets on top. Aside from that though, good coffee, cool online ordering system, private rooms you can use for meetings, and of course... the space itself is just really cool.

Christopher Bozek

Gorgeous setting in an old bank. Great for a coffee or to study, but often pretty full. They have these private booths if you need to work or have a meeting, which helps cut out the noise and have a little privacy. Also great service of ordering online and getting your food and coffee brought to your table (next level laziness) must see!

CAI GAN XIAN Lucas

Everything tasted great, the ice tea wasn't too sweet, I liked that. Beautiful setting too.

Matteo Alvaro

I would recommend the Bacon breakfast sandwich. This is a nice little cafe in an awesome building near oldtown. If you are in the area I would definitely recommend a stop here.

Philippe Fortin

Absolutely gorgeous building and an interesting concept. The sitting area was much smaller than I had expected and didn’t feel too inviting. The seats kind of feel in the way or just ‘there’ especially in contrast to the high ceilings. I tried a latte and it was great. Worth going to.

James Parker

They used to have a better service. Not friendly staff. The places closes at 7, it as 5:30 and I asked a Latte do drink in there and they made the coffee on a paper coffee because the place was "closing" in 1:30h. Sounds that they are not capable to wash a mug in that enough time.

Tricia Curbello

2 years later I still think about the bagel I ate here. Best and most memorable bagel of my life. Fig spread #4, sesame bagel - whoever invented this bagel should be very proud.

Kevin Cheng

Coffee was good; you end up paying up for the architecture but it IS very impressive.

Harlan Stafford

Very nice location and great coffee! The café latte was really good; the salmon bagel was also delicious. The mushroom avocado panino was good, but due to the dried tomato pesto these ingredients‘ flavor got lost somehow. Nevertheless, good quality food. Prices are quite high though, most probably the upscale for the location.

Robert Cole

It's a beautiful place to have coffee! The ambiance is amazing - you will never want to step into a Starbucks again!

Gil Felipe Gonçalves Miranda

Instagram worthy place. Great atmosphere to come and study! Fifty-foot-high ceilings, 12,000 square feet of space. St-Jacques St. in Old #Montreal @crewcollectivecafe ☕️

Ric T

Beautiful interior and good food. Nowhere near enough seating for popularity, especially annoying as there's lots of empty seating reserved for Collective members. No on-menu vegan options so you need to build your own using Extras. $13cad for plain rice with avocado and kale feels expensive, especially as that comes with no guarantee of seating and it's counter service.

Steve M.

I've been there before and loved it. But I have booked a meeting room for tomorrow PM and need to reschedule for tomorrow AM. I can't find any help and no phone number to call for help. VERY frustrating, I've bee trying to get help for the past 2 hours. They only tell you how to cancel without a refund if your booking is in less than 24h.. I don't think I'll be booking with them again.

Yesmine Boukhili

This is my go to place when I want to work away from home. The provided wifi is very fast. The place is not too noisy; the noise level is just enough to keep you focused without hurting your ears. You can also order food on their website and it will be served at the table you are at (each table has a number)!

Jean-Yves Rehby

This cafe and co-working space serves up great specialty coffees and small plates. I had the toast with avocado and egg as well as the toast with ricotta and honey. Both were served on really thick bread and were both extremely tasty!

AH Wa

What an amazing place to have breakfast! It is an old RBC bank turned into a cafe. The interior is gorgeous. And they have great selection of sandwiches and drinks. Free Wifi. Communal bench tables. Will definitely re-visit!

Michael Pokocky

Meal type

Eduardo Rosas

The coffee and baked goods were great, and you couldn't ask for a more beautiful spot to work. Good wifi, plenty of seats and outlets.

ChuckIT82 (ChuckIT82)

Beautiful building with a ton of character. There's lots of space to work and it feels spacious but also cozy due to the lighting and vintage furniture. A little pricey though ($4 for a tea and $6 for a flat white)

Shayan Taheripoor

Coffee is good, place is beautiful…worth a stop.

Katherine Magnuson

Great space for a café! Very open layout with lots of space to sit. Very knowledgeable and bilingual staff that work fast. I did not see any menu boards? The order counter is huge, so maybe I just didn't see any? All they had was one TV with a few products on a slideshow. However, no prices advertised anywhere. I loved the idea of having conference rooms available to rent if you are a group and want quiet privacy. Only reason I gave this café 4/5 stars is the price! Cost me about $9 for a small latté and a zuchini muffin. It was good, but not worth that amount of money. Definitely not a place you can go to on a regular basis, at least not if you are a student.

Ryan MacLean

This is a very unique coffee shop and a must visit. This space used to be a bank and has now been converted into a social workspace and coffee shop. The coffee here is very good, but it's the ambience that takes the cake.

Davis R

Great cafe in a beautiful building which I believe was formerly a bank. They turned it into a co-working space as well as cafe which is absolutely beautiful. Loved that you could buy ready made sandwiches and sweet treats from carefully selected artisans. The bf got an espresso while I got a flat white. Both were great the bf said it was one of the best espressos he's ever had in one of the most beautiful cafes ever!

Jacques Lemieux

This is a stunning place: coffee shop meets Gringotts bank. Perfect to get some work done! It gets really crowded so I strongly recommend to get there early on weekends to get a place at a table. It is definitely less busy during week days! The bowls and salads are very good but a bit pricey. My least favourite thing on the menu is actually the coffee, which has a bitter taste. I’ve ordered it 20+ times and cannot get passed it.

Geoffrey Bomarito

Great espresso, spectacular ambience. You should definitely swing by.

Matt Komorowski

The place is lovely and inspires you to get work done. A lot of work spaces. Food and drinks are expensive but its delicious. Unfortunately you can only charge your laptops in specific rooms, and its always full. Otherwise it is the perfect study spot !

Benjamin TALLIER

While the architecture is breathtaking, the cafe is bustling with activity and I can’t imagine how anyone could work with all the distractions. The app for ordering from your mobile device to be delivered to your table did not work, but they do have a good system for served food and drinks that are ordered from the bar. Silver lining: When you order Nutella for your croissant it comes with roasted hazelnuts on top!! Also, the prepared food was delicious and had good healthy options.

Uriel Pinsonneault

We started our food tour here and while we were waiting for the tour to start we tried their drinks. Their flat white and espresso were way better than Starbucks. Later, during the tour, we tried the salmon on Fairmount bagel and they were delicious. I definitely recommend this place; why would you miss out on visiting an old Glam bank into a cafe anyway!

Reham S

Best investment I've ever made in a bank! Great service, coffee and food. This old bank building is a must see. We didn't know it had a coffee bar when we walked by the bouncer at night. They have a night club in the evenings. Best Bagel breakfast sandwich ever!

Zahra Lak

A wonderful place for a morning or an afternoon coffee. I love it!

Wanny Pena

Unique experience of a café. The bakery section is nice, but I was hoping more choices at kitchen.

Mike Riess

One of the coolest cafes I’ve been to in a long time. The cafe is in the middle of an old bank and is full of interesting old furniture and finishings of the original bank. The quality of the coffee is good. I’ve been a few times now and have to say in terms of baked goods, the granola bar is the only item I can say I truly love. The staff has always been friendly and helpful.

Kyle Kortelainen

Mesmerized spot! No need to eat or drink.

George Michaelson

Beautiful space but during my time here I was served food that had non-food items in it, which sliced my gums open. Administration is not professional or helpful, and to top it off, they randomly decided to charge me hundreds of dollars to a credit card I had removed from my file. Wouldn't trust their kitchen or co-working space.

Mandart Chan

A good cup in an amazing historic building

Aiko Rose

Great ambiance for a cafe. It feels like being in a bank at the beginning of the 20th century. Great open space and quiet cubes to have meetings or study. Coffee is OK and food selection is somehow limited. The price for coffee is in line with other places although food start to be a bit expensive.

Jacques Schmidt

Really dope environment/vibe. Space is limited if you don't want to opt into becoming a member. Go early for a good spot. Food is insanely expensive, but to be fair it is good quality. Pricing to become a member is also very expensive. I personally think they should have more space and cheaper food for non members. Definitely worth checking out.

Charlotte Stratford

Overpriced, but nice spot to sit down and admire the architecture.

Alexis Ward

Beautiful place to study/work from or just have coffee with a friend. If you get too distracted by the beautiful ceiling and structures, know that you can also rent a private room for your meetings or just for a little bit of privacy.

Rafaela Mayrink

Wow. What a fantastic venu! An old bank transformed into a great coffee shop. Worth the detour... Only negative point, the cups and glasses could be a bit cleaner... ???? Next time for me, I'll take a paper cup...

Chris McMullen

I have never seen a barista, coffee place like this in such an impressive former bank building. Truly well designed, and great coffee and food. Jaw dropping!

Richard “RD” Murray

Kind of a gimmicky millennial trap. People come here because it is housed in a former bank, but the coffee and tea is just okay. My boyfriend had an americano and it tasted very diluted and acidic. I had a sencha tea which was just a Camelia Sinensis teabag. There are meeting rooms you can book for a fee.

Manel Mateu

It’s a nice place to visit and architecturally interesting. It’s a converted old bank so if you have not been inside one of those for coffee then this is the place for you. Super high ceilings are the key characteristic but also the reason the place may feel “cold” to some. The coffee and food are great. I love that Apple Pay is catching up in the Arctic and I am super happy that oat milk is too.

icedemmaricano

Gorgeous study space with an elegant menu (various hot & cold drinks, bagels, soups and pastries). Staff is cool and friendly. There are tables with lots of space to study and couches to socialize. Crew Cafe offers free high speed WIFI for any tasks that need to be completed. You can also rent private offices, but you should check it out on their website:)

Veronica Hui-Rodriguez

Was the first stop on our food tour. Busy place with great architecture to look at while you eat. Tried the Fairmont bagel with smoked salmon and shredded veggies and it was to die for. Definitely recommend the place and a different atmosphere from a usual coffee place or bistro

Amy Nascou

Coffee was amazing. Tried the espresso and flat white. Pastries could use some reheating but otherwise a perfect place to work out of. Public wifi has good speed.

Andra Carmina

Stumbling in here lead to coming back every day of our trip for the best filtre (Dispatch Coffee) I've ever had. Huge cafe in an old world style bank building. The swarms of people using this place as an office doesn't distract from the incredibly good coffee, delicious menu items (glad to see a legit croissant) and knowledgeable staff. You can rent/book work spaces here for a guaranteed spot.

Leanne Hwang

I’ve never actually been able to buy anything at the cafe (I’ve come on Saturdays, during filming, on labour day, when the computers were malfunctioning), but I’ve been in the building a few times and let me tell you, you are not prepared. It is astonishing. Truly. It’s unimaginably beautiful. Before I ever visited, seeing it online was actually one of the reasons I decided to come to MTL and study at McGill. Great decision so far! ????

Kevin Santiago

Beautiful space and ample seating available. However it was pretty busy when I went. I got an iced chai latte and an iced london fog, both 5.50 before tax. Pretty overpriced for portion size, and the taste was mediocre. Would come again for the fast wifi and decor. Seems like an ideal study spot! Non-distracting music was playing.

Chris Bullman

Beautiful painting of mr cohen isràeli singer. Downtown montreal. Near all night clubs.

Raymond

Fantastic ambiance within a cavernous old bank, other cafes really can't come close to the feel of drinking coffee here. Staff are friendly, music is good, prices reasonable. Get there early in the day before the students settle in for the day with their laptops.

Andrew Cargill

This cafe is preserving the main hall of Royal Bank previously, which looks stunning! The architecture is really something worth to visit. Although crowded, it is not noisy and one can read and work with no distraction. They offer membership with a 24/7 access to private and semi-private rooms, however you can book a meeting room with no need to subscribe to their membership (with a fee/day). Their black coffee is a bit disappointment, could not complete mine! My rate would be 5/5 if their coffee had a taste.

Vivian Savoy

The most beautiful cafe in old Montreal. Worth the detour for the ambience alone. Meeting rooms are available for a decent price which makes it a good place for work and/or socializing. The coffee's are great and the food is good !

Jean Bui

Looks like it's from straight out of Vienna. Gorgeous!

Chris Arnini

Great coffee, and I’m very particular about my coffee. Plus it is easily the most beautiful spot to have coffee in the entire city... perhaps the country. It was quiet when I was there, with a variety of seating options. So many beautiful photos ready to happen in this space.

Suramya Sivarajan

Can't go wrong with a place that serves Pilot Roast Coffee. But the ingredients is only a part of what makes this such a great place! The barista execute your drink to perfection, from the temperature and the length of the brewing process to the consistency of the milk. Everything is well done and balanced. And the venue.. the layout in this historical building is well though out with places to lounge, places to work and cabin for more focus teamwork.

Nathan Albertassi

This coffee shop is awesome. The venue is stunning inside and a great place to relax or do work. They have cubicles for extra privacy which is great. There is a good lunch/breakfast food selection which tastes great. A definite repeat offender

Tom D

Rrally unique, who would have thought of turning a old Bank building into a place for meetings and coffee? The smoked salmon bagel was really good and nothing beats sipping a cup of coffee while enjoying old architecture.

Han Li

An old bank turned cafe. Love this place.

J. Cheung

Set in a old bank, it is a gorgeous place with good health food. Really nice! And a great place to get some work done, too!

Payam Masjedi

The most aesthetic cafe I’ve been to hands down! Love that they space everyone out to keep with Covid protocols.

Madria B.

One of the most amazing breakfast places ever

Erika Ryan

If you like gold, you'll love this place. The decor is magnificent. It's an old bank turned into a coffee shop/work space. But I can't say anything on the beverages nor the food since it's always packed and never had the chance to sit down.

Mike Ambacher

Great atmosphere! Good coffee and cappuccino. The tea selection wasn’t the best.

Adam McEachern

Love this place. It’s always crowded so don’t except to have a seat but it’s beautiful and the coffee is so good.

Grace Young

Worth to go! Very pretty!

Jocelyne Bourgeois

Beautiful care, soak up the atmosphere and beautiful location. The food is impeccable, the drinks are average

Alexa

A must visit in Montreal. Both the matcha latte and hot chocolat I got were very delicious - you could taste the difference in its high quality! A very recommended cafe to visit when in Montreal!

Martin Arganaraz

I should say this cafe is a must-go when you visit Montréal. The mood is nice and coffee tastes good. I stayed short, but I enjoyed a calm, cozy atmosphere.

Brenda Seal

Beautiful place, but, the staff wasn't good at all. We ordered our food and in the meantime, asked the blond girl for directions, since my phone had died. She said, why don't you use your gps. I politely explained to her, my phone wasn't working and she said "l'll bring your food over. Go and sit down." I was just asking for directions to a place close by. She didn't have to be so rude. Plus our drinks were too cold. I saw the man making it, but she let it sit there for such a long time. NOT a good experience at all.

Niroshan Udith Bandara

Awesome space! Good coffee but you definitely need to come here to take in the ambiance. I’ll definitely be back!

Sean Leung

Amazing Ambiance they turn what use to be an old Bank into a really cool Cafe where people come to brainstorm on their project. Coffee and Chocolat croissant were good.

David Vadoud Naderi

Perfect spot for a meeting, decor is just mind blowing! Snacks, staff and obviously coffee is amazing! Book your private room with window service ! I go do some staff trainings there all the time.

Tejas Kanitkar

im only in montreal for conference stumble upon this cafe.. the place is hugee have great high ceilling historic place .. ordered cappuccino which was great.. and lunch bowl which was very healthy.. love the ambience!

hana // هانا

Very beautiful interior with nice artistic high ceilings and architecture. The lighting is dim to provide a relaxed and cozy ambiance. However, music may be too loud and not always fit the setting for some people, but I don't mind it. Tables are big enough and they all have a lot of electric charging ports for your laptops/phones. I find it very suitable and appropriate for studying.

Jean-Philippe Corbeil

The location is nothing short of amazing, with ceilings 40 feet high, you're sipping on your coffee in an old national bank, most of it untouched. The perks; • Free wifi • Huge tables with power access • great coffee/food • staff is nice • group rooms can be rented Cons; • it gets pretty crowded as it is very popular • the lighting in the common area is greatly dimmed

Scott Lee

Not a coffee expert but the cappuccino was really tasty in my opinion. The pastries were also much better than what I expected. But I think the main reason why I visited the cafe - and most people will probably agree with this - is because of the interior and the building. The cafe is built where an old bank used to be and it shows. A lot of people came in just to take pictures and videos just because it was so cool! I could just spend the whole day lounging around and drinking coffee while reading a book. I want to visit again just to experience the odd combination of an old bank architecture and the cool cafe vibe :)

Jeremy Zavitz

Excellent espresso - they do great flat whites for anyone who cares, good / friendly service, the mushroom bowl is outstanding (definitely option the THICK bacon), and the vibe / setting is so pleasant - chilled, set in an old bank lobby with amazing architecture, comfortable velvet couches or table / bar seating. One of the best breakfast places I’ve come across anywhere.

Sang

Lovely atmosphere. But the smoothie was outrageously expensive. $11! Insane!

Aaron Solet

Beautifully nested in the RBC building, it offers plenty of workspace for it's members. Perfect for startups, small companies, sovial media people, etc. There are snacks and drinks available. Closed booths are also available for a more quiet and intimate space.

Bao Le

Nice area but the service is bad, the coffee was burnt and there’s limited seating

Rama Mouhajer

One of the most beautiful coworking spaces I’ve been to. Day passes are a little on the pricey side but you’ll be super productive so balances out

Emily Paine

Let’s take a moment to appreciate the location of this café. Right in the middle of the city, if you are not a café person, you may never even discover this café. What was the first east India company building, is now crew collective sharing their space with a bank. Not only is the atmosphere amazing but also their house brews. And this place is good if you have your own startup / small business and need a place to work all day, with easily bookable conference rooms charged by the hour, or the day. If you are not a coffee person, I will still recommend to check out this café, for its architecture and space utilisation.

Didarul Haque

Overpriced, crowded, and terrible wi-fi. The interior is beautiful, but I would suggest just walking in, taking in the architecture, and leaving. I tried doing some work here, but it the internet cut out in the middle of a call, wouldn't reconnect, and I finally had to go across the street to a different cafe. I wasn't the only one taken aback by prices. One woman who came to pick up her latte asked the server, incredulously, if this was a large. He replied snarkily that they only have one size. 4.50 for a small cappucino or latte? Save your money and go to some place where you can actually enjoy something without staring at the bottom of the cup after 15 minutes.

Simcovich Whalen

Crew cafe is one of my fave MTL coffee stops. Located in the old original downtown Royal Bank building it is a grand experience to sit and chill with a cappuccino, craft beer or whatever tickles your fancy. *during COVID reduced capacity it does get busy so be patient to find a great place to chill. The booths are available for $10 an hour and they have meeting spaces if you want to dazzle customer to seal the deal at a unique place. The coffee here is solid also. ????????

A S

Great service. Good coffee (served in quirky cups). Very quiet and calm. Great work spaces. Lockers at the desks to protect your valuables. Bookable meeting rooms. Quirky and private booths. Original, historical architecture. Not too pricey either.

Farah Rihan

It is a palace, not a cafe! Long waiting line. Nice bagels.

M Smith

Nice place with good atmosphere. Good soap and hot beverages. Beautiful ambiance in a glamorous building hall. Quiet place even crowd. I recommend take a time and enjoy the place.

Nabil Zoldjalali

A stunning former RBC bank converted into a coffee shop. Hidden gem of the Old Port.

Phoebe Chen

The elegance of the ceiling and interior is beyond compare, I feel like I could sit for hours and just admire the architecture. The only thing that could make it better is higher quality coffee.

GGG Studios

Incredible place, located in the former building of the Royal Bank of Montreal, the place is very fancy. Prices are very good for the quality and environment you have. You can have coffee, tea, pastries, snacks or lunches. All tables provide electricity and a free WiFi is accessible. You have to possibility to rent a private space for work or meetings. You can order on internet and get delivered at your table. Come early to have a choice of place, it usually gets crowded before noon until later in the afternoon.

Lynda Cooper

Good coffee and insane decor! The chocolate chip cookies are super yummy too. 8)

Artist

you know what, for all the hype, the staff is very rude. i ordered a latte. by the time i was sitting on the table, it was cold. i went back to ask for it to be heated. i was cut down mid sentence to be told “we have no way of heating it”. what’s up with that?! i’m not asking to be coddled. just steam the damn thing and it would have been fine. but don’t be condescending and rude.

Joannie Pharand

Beautiful spot to work for a bit, great coffee, and excellent food

Mollie Gerver

The building and dexorations are historic and beautiful, housed in a former bank. The coffee was just okay, but you can order by the carafe which is nice for those wanting more than one cup. I ordered the salmon bagel sandwich, which tasted nice and held its form nicely. The prices are a bit steep, however.

Mona Shah

A little expensive but a saving grace on hot days. Nice atmosphere and a cool calm place to sit down and work.

Laura De Medeiros

This coffee-shared-work-space had excellent drip-brew and in-house baked goods. The images online don't do the soaring overhead frescoes justice (the WW1 memorials were sobering to read [these young men were bank staff and were the same age as the work-space users]). It's very hip, for a recycled Royal Bank building, eh. We visited it twice.

Bartek X

Very nice architecture and cool sitting areas. The coffee and pastrkes are good too but not the best in old port area.

Tayler Engel

One of the most beautiful cafes I've been to!

Dustin Lynch

Always good to be at back Collective Cafe.. but it seems like the place is now a little overcrowded by tourists. No room for local who actually want to sit, read and enjoy a good cup of flat white.

K SY

Amazing cafe, cool atmosphere, very crowded on weekends.

caffeinated consciousness

Place is nice and historic. This building was an old bank converted in to a cafe. Atmosphere is really nice. We went for breakfast for this restaurant. They have good menu. Service was good and food was good too. Normally this place is crowded and its hard to find a table. You can find conference rooms and meeting areas in the cafe.

Xi Lin

The place is undoubtedly amazing!!! Rich of history and worth seeing! On the other hand Coffe is the worst coffee I’ve ever had.

Jip Janneke

The most impressive café I have ever been to! A must see! Perfect coffee, lots of delicious sweet stuff, probably space for up to 150 people, most of whom are young, hip and equipped with an Apple Macbook. Love it!

Karim H

The space has beautiful architecture but it's so crowded! I came on a Saturday and could not find seating for two. Additionally, the coffee is expensive so plan to stay for at least a couple of hours.

Lena Art

It was a visual treat! But the place was at capacity so we decided not to go in. The lineup for coffee was also huge.

Oscar Frohlich

Crew is a coffee shop in a beautiful and unique historical old bank. It offers great coffee, tea, juices, few light meals and snacks. You can order from your table through their website. It is a great to work on your laptop, but I personally find that lighting is not optimized if you want to read (a little dark), although some people do it without any issues. They do have 6 brighter collaboration rooms, where you have to be at least 2 for a max of 2 hours, but they are always taken. The service is great, tax and tips are included in the price.

Fahdah Al-alyan

Amazing coffee and pastries, really friendly staff and a beautiful building

Negar Jafari

Fantastic coffee! We also enjoyed a breakfast bowl and a chia pudding and both were delicious. Great space too.

L. D.

Ordered a cortado and it was done just right. Beautiful setting and the coffee was a great compliment to match the aesthetic of the place.

Hubert Michalus

Yummy coffee, huge space for work/study, friendly staff.

Luis A.

This is one of the coolest workspaces in Montreal. The lobby of an old bank has been converted into a café and open workspace. The classic interior design is fantastic and luxurious. The workspaces are designed for individuals or small groups so collaborating is easy. It's mostly open concept but there are a few cubicles that allow for more privacy. I felt more productive and more motivated to work compared to standard cafés - this place is designed for work. On top of that, the café is great, too! The service, the quality, the concept... it's awesome. It's my go-to place when I need to get out of the home office but still need to get work done. The environment is also professional enough to arrange meetings with clients. It will probably take about 10 minutes to get over the amazing interior but you'll eventually get down to business.

Farhad A

Very cool space to relax and enjoy a warm drink. Lots of people plugged in and working as well. You can order online and will be brought directly to your table. Has excellent food - I had a bowl with greens, rice, soft boiled egg and mushrooms which was quite large and delicious!

Jeff MA

Magnificent architecture! Whenever I don't feel like studying and I have to study, I go here! Such a great place!

Valerie

The space is luxurious, the principal behind it, not so much; you must be a paying member to access certain areas that are more conducive for work, otherwise you can try to find a free spot and squeeze yourself in with random strangers who may or may not be willing to let you work in peace. It is certainly worth a visit but not if you actually want a quiet and large study space.

Mosaed Aldekhayel

The ambiance is unique and gorgeous, more suited to a business meeting/study than a date though. There is a small but delicious selection of counter foods. The iced tea I ordered tasted terrible, but admittedly this place very clearly specialises in coffee rather than tea

Chase Willis (CW)

I would give this place more than a 5 if I could, and it might be my favourite cafe in the world. It has fantastic salad bowls, great coffee, and the building is stunning. I usually come here for working, and find it conducive for concentrating for long stretches of time, even when it’s bustling. A must-see if you’re visiting Montreal.

Most beautiful and effective and serene coffee shop I’ve ever been to. Gorgeous historic building, super-high ceilings, elegant layout, fast-and-free-and-open wifi, hip-yet-kind staff, interesting-and-offbeat tea and coffee and snack selections. Brilliant.

Justin Milley

The historical building that is't located in is worth the trip alone. I appreciate that they did not mutilate the decor. The yummy coffee here makes up for the slow service. I like it that they properly compensate their employees and there's no need for the awkward tip jar.

David Whiteside

Fabulous looking cafe (the interior decor is marvelous!!) and the food options, though small, are a scrumptious. The coffee is good, more authentic Italian style than the low quality American style of coffees.

Sunameeka P

Probably the grandest coffee shop/working cafe i've been to. Great coffee and dessert as well.

Kenny Chan

Somebody recommended that place to me for ther fast wifi and it was by far, the best set up to work, study, have meetings, etc. You can book private rooms so that you can work with your colleagues and otherwise they have a lot of places. One cool thing it that you can actually grab a seat and order food through your phone/computer and they'll bring it to you!! And their coffee... finally a real coffee!! They understand the science of making the perfect espresso/ cappuccino/ lattes. I am hooked! I've already become a regular and so should you!

Justin Hand

It's hidden, but must visit in Montreal. 100% historical, gastronomic, life time experience. For relaxing, charming and seriously a hidden utopia, according to me, this place changed my perspective of what a coffee shop should be in 2016.

J Walters

The biggest coffee shop I’ve ever been too. Love the concept. Had the smoked salmon and Americano. Amazing food! Can’t say enough good things about this place. Must visit if you ever need a coffee.

Sarah P

Set in the lobby of a historic bank building, this is probably the most beautiful coffee shop I've ever seen. Seriously - you'll have tour groups coming by and taking photos while you drink your latte. Coffee is tasty too.

Michelle Lee

Salvador Scott

This place is just perfect! The ambiance, the coffee, the music... you can find just anything you could ask for in this place! Love it!

Danny Luk

The setting is absolutely beautiful. Latte is not bad and the food I had was good In the "public" area there are mostly long tables but you can also rent out private spaces. Service was courteous A bit expensive but not as bad as I had expected from what other people had told me

Teresa Hoang

Cozy atmosphere. Its located in a beautiful historical building . Menu selection and quality is excellent. If you are visiting MONTRÉAL make sure u have a coffee there.

Yuls NP

Beautiful interior and good coffee.

Barbara McKeown

Wonderful cafe with a rich history! Preserved historical bank building with tellers behind the counter. London fog with lavender sprinkled on top...the aroma is phenomenal. Variety of biscuits and pastries too! I recommend both the butter croissants and chocolate croissants in addition to the superb salmon tartine (I substituted pumpernickel...fabulous) with fresh dill. Restrooms are located downstairs and you must possess a key to gain access. The restroom key can be obtained from the counter of the cafe or the security desk(best option, friendly guards who are happy to supply the key). Nice space to work or read, however; during peak times seating can be limited unless you pay an additional fee for private work areas. Furthermore, water and glasses are left with eating utensils at the bussing station.

Stanley

Might be my favorite place whole visiting Montreal. Could sit here for hours and enjoy the atmosphere while sipping coffee. Deff worth the visit.

Koko Yavari

I love going to this place to study, it is very calm, clean and cozy. The architecture of the building is just beautiful, I'm always amazed. While the food may be little expensive at times, they have a very interesting menu so its definitely worth it. The coffee is great and the booths on the side are great for team work!

Farrukh

Former bank now serving the perfect flat white and simple food. Work space for hire. It's a 1928 renaissance style church inspired hall with beautiful high vaulted flat ceiling and side arches. Many old bank fittings. Lovely atmosphere.

Pat C.

和田美月

Fantastic. Cafe. Food. Rooms to rent on the fly. Great service. Fantastic place. Also this is one of Montreal's best co-working spaces.

Daph Ho

One of the most beautiful coffee spots I ever been, the architecture is just amazing and the atmosphere and calmth of the building is giving as well. Cortado & flat white on top. Wish I could go there every day.

Irene Ho

It's an amazing place to get work done and I go here regularly to code. The architecture is amazing and the coffee is good. The WiFi is fast too. During the winter it can be a bit hard to find room to sit though because tons of people come here to study, which is understandable because it's one of the most beautiful workplaces you can have. There's also plugs integrated in the tables, but sometimes you have to fiddle with them a bit because people accidentally unplug them from the floor, but they usually work. I wish people would stop getting married / holding events here though, because it keeps messing up my weekend plans...

Nawal Alotaibi

What a beautiful coffee shop located on Saint-Jacques. This place has truly one of the best iced lattes I've tried in Montréal (with soy milk it's even better). Walking into this place can be intimidating, but trust me, it is totally worth sitting and just looking at the ceiling and the art work that went into this building. It is absolutely stunning and I think it's genius that they decided to put a coffee shop there. The staff is friendly and helpful. I would recommend reserving a meeting room in advance if you want to study there because they do not have a lot of seating area with tables (most of it is low sofas so it's uncomfortable for studying). Definitely would recommend though if you're strolling down Old Port and want to grab coffee!

Pia Rose

Cool place to visit if youre in montreal. good coffee!

Jason Bourne

I really like studying here. It can be tricky to get a spot but they have long tables with tons of plugs and great coffee. Close to Square Victoria metro and in an old bank. Makes for a cool, kind of dimly-lit space with larger conference rooms that groups can pre- book and pay for.

Malika Asthana

Beautiful building, wonderful atmosphere, and delicious food! I enjoyed a salmon/avocado bagel and delicious chai tea.

Teddy T

Beautiful place and coffee is amazing. The small conference booth that you can use are so cool.

David B

Awesome structure and ambiance. Good selection of drinks and eats, which are tasty. Very cool and unique spot! Good to study or do some work, and they have wall plugs scattered around as well.

Abel Obeso Muñiz

Great food and coffee. Amazing architecture!

Katrin Berghoff

Beautiful space! Good bagels.

C Breitman

Cool atmosphere, friendly staff, great food!

Anthony Salim

Good atmosphere, a lovely cafe latte and a delicious soup! Wifi connection is also perfect.

JD Nadeau Lambert

The atmosphere, vibe and location are excellent. The coffee was good. My only problem is the food. I ordered a bagel and cream cheese and it took 15min and came out cold. My coffee was almost done when I got it.

Young Jung

Awesome decorations and ambiance with exceptional coffee service. Perfect place to have small meetings, or for studying. Only downside would be that it is a notch more expensive than regular cafes, but, I believe, the environment, and quality deserves that few extra bucks.

Nell Farnham

Very unique decor, like a train station or a bank. Nice coffee and most important they have oat milk, which is the best for latte- popular non dairy milk in Europe and hard to find in Canada.

Lola Ianovski

My cousin recently moved to Montréal and had suggested that I try Crew Collective. I decided to wall over when they first opened and it was AMAZING. I had a triple almond latte, with a salmon/avocado/cucumber toast (on a 9-grain bread) and a croissant. Where do I even start......the latte was beautifully made, such delicate texture from the steamed milk and robust flavour with the espresso. The toast - PHENOMENAL. The flavour profile was superb. It was light, yet filling. Had the croissant on my way back to my hotel - the BEST croissant I've ever had. So buttery and flaky. BRAVO!!

AnthonyGL

Amazing place with royal set up. Delicious coffee and fantastic place to visit in Montreal! I loved everything about it!

Laura Mandjelikian

Love studying here. The architecture is so cool. Its an old bank turned into a cafe. Feel like I have gone back in time! The coffee is good. They have little bank offices for group study too!

Kim

Beautiful building, but the actual restaurant is very...disjointed in its feel, no real structure to the seating or serving. Feels more like a student cafeteria had to walk out

Philip

I wanted to check this place out just because of the building it’s in, but was very satisfied with the coffee here! The building is absolutely stunning and is worth coming here just to stare at the ceiling. The espresso was top notch along with a perfect croissant. Looking forward to going next time I’m in Montreal.

Ava Lazor

Very unique cafe that takes place inside a bank. There are lots of area for you to sit and study. There's also more private closed spaces if you're lucky enough to spot one unoccupied. The drink menu offers some tea options which was nice.

Cheese Burger

A beautiful setting for drinking delicious coffee and munching on a something yummy.

Michelle York

The space is fantastic. The coffee is good. The staff were a little cold and did not answer my questions in what I would call a nice way. They do not technically accept tips, the tip is built in to the prices already so I guess they dont feel like they need to waste any extra energy on nice customer service?

Simon Huang

Great cafe within the beautiful setting of a repurposed bank, service and ambience are great, the coffee is well balanced and brew to an aromatic consistent blend not neither too mild nor too strong, foods is super tasty and prices are really good and environment lends itself for an informal open concept work place.

Rick Knoop

Very cool place. Crowded but still plenty of space. The booths on the side are comfy. Food is good and super fresh. Don’t come if you're in a hurry. It does take a while to order and get said food.
