Best cafe in Moncton hands down! The Moncton blend coffee offers a great balance between dark and mild roast with notes of chocolate. The master roaster was kind enough to give me a personal tour of his craft. Definitely a must visit place. A hidden gem in the beautiful Moncton.

Expensive with slow service at times, but friendly staff and quality coffee, food, and other beverages. Nice place to relax and have a conversation with someone.... Relaxed atmosphere without the pretentiousness of more well established coffee chains. Their self-roasted coffee is great as well, but again, tad expensive.

Excellent coffee shop, friendly atmosphere, very large, lots of room between tables so you are not elbow to elbow with other patrons. They roast on site, which is absolutely amazing and very hard to find locally! Excellent beans. I had a cappuccino made with a Nicaraguan blend that was very similar and right on par with Jamaican Blue, very strong with many different earthy aromas but with no bitterness on the after taste whatsoever. I will go again. Scones and muffin were also excellent. My kids ate those but I had a taste of each. Reasonable prices on the chocolate milk for my kids too. I will highly recommend to all my friends!

We woke up Saturday morning without power. Drove around looking for breakfast for me and my wife. Stopped in here and was greated with a little line up which was no big deal as we were not the only ones without power. The employees had hungry and coffee thirsty folks looking for their fix :) they were so friendly and welcoming which made the little wait easy. Down east coffee gets 5 stars from us. They sorce and roast beans to utter perfection. We used to drink coffee in a previous life from another unnamed sorce that begins with "t" but decided to quit because it was like drinking bilge water. When we moved to the Moncton area we stumbled upon Cafe Codiac and their fantastic coffee and got schooled in what coffee should be. A few years later my wife and I opened a cafe/restaurant of our own and included in our mission statement was that "we solumly swear to serve down east coffee and only downcast coffee as long as we both shall live..." We been fortunate to travel the globe a little and to this day, these guys produce the best coffee we've had hands down. Fantastic job folks! Thank you for raising the bar. I'm currently enjoying a fantastic zydeco double espresso and watching a most amazing sunrise and felt it was time to go public about my feelings for Down East Coffee. Thanks again and please keep up the highest standards and great service.

It's nice. I just had a regular coffee which was good. No refill or rewards program which is nice when going for a study day or come with a book. Cashier said she would refill for the price of a small coffee if you had purchased a med or large. Wifi is good. You can get your drive-by fix. Single, one-at-a-time toilet for men and another for women. Lots of parking.
