I had no problems with A&W, but the last time I went it was different. They messed up the order by putting onion rings instead of fries, even tho on the receipt it clearly stated "fries" and we said we want fries 3 times. They also added some unusual spices to food (which I personally do not like at all). The spices were the major issue for me. It's a fast food industry and it doesn't state anywhere that they're using those spices. So it's really sad A&W becoming worse in Swan River.

Fast kind meant well though I ordered two meat combo meals from coupon on site and xtra mama Burger but I got home to find one meal and mamma burger so my son ate. I didn't. Whether I order through drive through or at the counter the wait for the "fast food" is so long!! And by the time I get my food my fries are cold every time. Tonight it was as if the fries were sitting there and then reheated and the buns were weird like not fresh by any means. When we order breakfast they often give us sausage patties instead of the bacon that we ordered very clearly, but don't notice till we drive away. Nothing but problems and long wait time every single visit. The a&w in the mall is definitely worth the extra distance...

I wanted a trio teen burger with only bacon and mustard. I got a lady on the other side of the microphone who when she asked me if I had any A&W discount coupons was MUCH MORE FOCUSED on how she can possibly give me a discount to WHAT I WANTED TO EAT. She tried to charge me a mama burger cause it was cheaper but I wanted a teen burger in a trio. Finally she worked it out apparently although she made me repeat my order 11 times and when I finally got to the window I paid , and she gave me my order of food in a bag but there were NO DRINKS. I said I ordered a trio in fact it was three identical trios : three teen burger trios with fries and rootbeer. But the only thing she was stuck on was how to get me a GOOD PRICE, what if she had given me my trios as I ordered them isnt that suppose to give us a better price already as a trio? I never asked for a discount but she wouldn't let it go. For 10 minutes she insisted on trying to save me a few cents or a dollar. Give me a break. I am no longer going there unless I have a discount coupon maybe I can get my rootbeer next time.

I get breakfast from here everyday, i see the staff working hard but they are not able to keep up with the morning rush from 7:30 as only two people are put on a shift and i see them pushed to the limits. There is no manager on duty and I feel bad as the management is not worried about it.

Thank you I hope this comment is constructive because I saw that I was not the only person to see that there is a problem at this branch. Even if the BILLING machine does not operate normally without an invoice, a company cannot charge. Double Teen burger was very good. I was fairly disappointed in the taste of A&Ws signature drink...their root beer. They switched to cane sugar sweetening over a year ago and I am just finding out the taste is completely different than the original. I don't like it at all. I am really hoping the cans of A&W rootbeer and cream soda are still the old formula as they don't say "cane sugar" on the box. Otherwise the apple pie was amazing as always and the service was friendly and efficient. Bring back the old fountain root beer taste!!

The staff were really friendly and made us feel welcome. However, they messed up on our order. I can't have spicey food and specifically asked for regular mayo instead of the hot one. But they packed me with the hot one therefore I was unable to eat it. They also only packed us with one dipping sause for 5 chicken strips. By the time we got our food out, we were well out of town and could not return, so I cannot speak on their ability to problem solve. However, given the friendliness of the staff, I'm sure they would have resolved the issue.

Mozza burgers are by far my fave. Each town we go to for work or leasure that is always my go to. Sadly this Mozza was an embarresment to A&W. It was cold....dry...and HALF a slice of bacon was broken into 2 pieces...and was definitly far from freshly made....Was Quarter of what a mozza bacon should normally be. And the Rootbear was warm The Big Juicy Mozza was such a disapointment from this location as it was so not that! In Swan River MB I DO not recomend If i could post a minus i so would.

Staff at this location were particularly friendly. A nice change of pace from the usual expectation of a fast food worker. The food prepared was also better than at many A&W's, so kudos to the staff here. Could do with adding ketchup to the fries by default though. Make sure to ask if you come here.

My wife and I went here and found it cleaner, faster, and better than Charlottetown A&W. The Food was much better and they give you more onion rings and they are properly cooked. The root beer is nice and cold and does not go flat in 5 minutes. Anyone wanting to eat here should go and enjoy.... it's worth the trip to Summerside.

Best fast/junk food you can get without asking yourself if you are giving yourself cancer. Sometimes the wait is a bit long for a restaurant that offers a drive thru, but the quality is almost always there. Would recommend if you want to grab something quick if you are not on a diet. Which personally I hate I went to ask to exchange my burger was met with very unprofessional reply. All of the staff were pleasant up until I asked for an exchange. I almost had to argue my point that as a customer I wasnt satisfied with the food. Now two of the cashiers were professional and wanted to work with me and listen to my concerns. I appreciated. They acted accordingly how you should treat this situation. but the older staff and an aggressive male staff member were not hospitable and had terrible customer service.....I was told to buy another burger. When I said "I just spent 50.00 on my family I should get a burger I like. I'm diabetic this is first thing I bit into and I dont like it." "Why did you order something you didnt like?" Was what I was asked....why you ask? because I was curious about the burger and the garlic aioli sauce that taste nothing like an aioli sauce was not advertised on your burger ad as a flavour. I felt very insulted how I was treated as a customer. I attend here almost monthly with my family. Hope they change how they treat unsatisfied customers and be more professional in future. This Male staff member made me feel as if I was taking the money out of his pocket. This has changed my view of this AnW for the future. As I asked I to speak with manger and they sent out him. To talk down to me and make me feel dumb for ordering something new......in future I'll just stick to the classics. As I dont feel like going through something like this again......

I am not a fast food person because the food is poorly raised, etc. A & W looks to be trying to offer some healthier choices. But honestly I'd like to see them go pretty much 100% pasture raised organic. The coffee is organic fair-trade, and they offer a really good veggie burger and because I don't eat bread they immediately offered to make that a lettuce wrapped Burger... Which in all honesty no other fast food restaurant has ever offered to do. rather than the misleading advertising about no steroids or hormones which is illegal to do in Canada anyway, I'd like to see them go hundred percent grass-fed/pasture raised, non-GMO project animal feed or better still, 100% organic. They are partnering with the MS Society because Ms is epidemic in Canada but so is cancer and both of those diseases are due to Lifestyle and chemical-laden food. if they want to fix that they should be the first fast food Outlets to provide 100% organic foods!

Positive note: Tried the beyond meat burger. OMG. Super impressed with the quality you would NEVER know. Just tastes like a light burger. I will be back at A&W just for that. Drawbacks: it did not seem busy, but I found myself having to clean off every seat and chair . Floors were quite dirty, not been swept for awhile, maybe days. the team of folks at the counter were great, except for one young girl who was very aggressive. Not holding it against the chain of the store. Nice work.

Drive thu was quick and easy. Ordered a mozza burger with extras on it along with the awesome onion rings, and it was up and ready shortly after I paid. The bag of rings was filled and they were piping hot. Just the way it should be. Can't complain at all about the food or service time. Always fast & friendly. Doing the right thing, for guests. You can tell the staff work together as partners, to make sure everything gets done properly. The Restaurant is always clean, apart from the odd time where it is really busy or bad weather and the floor might be a little dirty from the outside, but these are things that are understandable and not to be held against the staff, due to the diligent way they keep the restaurant to a high standard, and take pride in their work. Unlike the local McDonalds, you feel welcome when you walk in, not like its an inconvenience. if A&W makes a mistake, they fix it. No matter what. at McDonalds, you get told either you're lying, or that they couldn't possibly have done that because "I was right there when it was made" as a manager once told me. and if you do get your meal or item refunded you don't even wanna go back because they made you feel like an idiot. the staff at A&W acknowledge that it was a mistake and go above and beyond to fix the problem. 10/10. With the way A&W treats their food they allow to be sold in the restaurant, you know it isn't garbage, its actually good and nutritious. You can also get ANYTHING in a lettuce wrap, for no charge! That's just amazing. will always be going back.
