One of, if not the best coffee shops in Winnipeg. The baristas are friendly and know their coffee. The atmosphere is minimalist casual. It can get really busy, especially on weekends. The food offering are limited but very good with a selection if sweet and savoury pastries. They also sell Oh Doughts. If you haven't tried those you're missing out.

Nedra Francis

Wonderful friendly staff great coffee .

Nigel Manuel

Small choice of available coffee's to taste for a coffee & tea place. The clean scented environment detracts from smelling coffee and might have influenced the taste of the coffee I tried.

Andrew Kalteck

Best coffee in the city I'd say!

Bryserker

excellent coffee

Chen Shen

Love the coffee and the avocado toast!

Michael Linton

Some of the best coffee in Winnipeg, not to mention some of the nicest people you'll find behind an espresso machine.

John Yaremchuk

Scott Saedal

Excellent presentation, this café successfully combines pleasing all of your senses. The taste is un matched, very strong coffees yet still complex and not at all assaulting. Smell is delightful and natural and the look is simple clean and all of the lattés are very well presented.

Dext

Great space for enjoying a drink with friendly staff who will explaining anything about their menu.

Jedd Ylagan

One of my favourite local coffee shops in Winnipeg!! Not only is their coffee amazing, but the employees there are such genuinely nice people! The atmosphere and design of the store is amazing. From the beautiful tile before you walk in, to the wondedful marbled tables when you're seated. Quite the design.

Ryan Ramsdale

Though coffee is the first point of attraction to Thom Bargen (their focus on quality, their appreciation of the craft and their consistency) it's the staff that keep me choosing Thom Bargen first. The experience I have with the staff makes me feel welcomed and my preferences acknowledged. Their focus on service to their customers is a reminder that it is in the simplest interactions businesses can make people feel valued and cause them to return again and again.

thomas bialy

Paulina Helińska

The nicest cafe in this part of Winnipeg! Delicious avocado toast, friendly staff, good vegetarian & vegan options.

Michael Bowes

A lousy location, very difficult to find parking. Was a bit shocked when barista said taste of bean was second to the relationship Phil and Seb had with growers. Although I agree it's very important to cultivate a strong relationship with growers, Not at the expense of the bean. Staff was friendly but just business, especially the owner. Cappuccino was better yesterday than today. Would come back if Fools and Horses was closed, but wouldn't go out of my way to visit, even if it does have a Kees.

Ahmed Hammad

Great staff and atmosphere

Elena B

They are local and awesome! Always have vegan options and the stuff is super nice!

Dade Williams

Strong stuff but good

Mark Kamenkovich

Great coffee!

Gleb Rodov

Finally the REAL coffee in Winnipeg! Just great Cappuccino and Cortado. Flavoured and tasteful. Highly recommended.

L L

Whomever designed this cafe should lose their licence! I had to wait for 30 minutes for someone to leave to get a hold of a electrical outlet. Also the cafe seating is very uncomfortable. I am not even a fan of Tim Hortons and their seating is top notch. As for their coffee, I overheard one of their hip baristas stating their coffee is localy grown. That is very incorrect. Train your baristas to know their coffee bean knowledgeable! I ordered a soy London dog and I when I asked the barista for reassurance of this was soy he said yes. When I got home, I had a really terrible stomach ache. I will never come to this place. If I wanted better assurance on service and quality, I will go to Parlour where i know their baristas will not mess with my lactose intolerant.

Abhishek Narayanpur

The Americano is the most flavourful coffee I have had.

Rob Oppenheim

Best coffee house in Winnipeg.

Chantelle Shipley

My favourite coffee place in Winnipeg. Always greater with a smile, great asthetic, even better beverages. Even had a babycchino for my toddler. I always go out of my way to pop by.

Ariel Lisogorsky

Ali Neshati

I liked their mocha

Michael Barrie

excellent espresso - bright, Nordic-looking atmosphere

Campbell H

Very friendly staff but I was only able to manage a few sips of the coffee I ordered, it was perhaps the most unusual blend of coffee I have tasted (though I am from Eastern Canada and maybe it is a local taste thing).

Adi Lezard

Quality of the coffee. And great service

Mary Robinson

Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Unfortunately, no gluten free baking, but that's not unusual.

Joseph Visser

I work here and just poured this fire London fog. Come try ????

Scott Malazdrewicz

Not a fan of any of it. I must be too old or something to get it

Alex Gedala

Phil and Sebastian rocks this place. The Barista can pull a mean shot and pour an awesome cup of coffee. Ordered a Corrado and a Latte the other day and can't complain about a single darn thing. I'd definitely give these guys a try next time I am in town.

Ryan Reimer

Great aesthetic, best cortado in the city.

David Hidlebaugh

Sean Cody

Pricy

Jack Dionne

I paid almost 3 dollars for a dark roast coffee that either tasted really bad or very old. I drink my coffee black. I know when it's old brew. Never go there again.

Kieran Dublin

My absolute favourite coffee joint. Truly inspired and fun seasonal drinks too.

cindy lam

Probably it’s the BEST coffee shop in Winnipeg!! Super friendly and nice staffs, good coffee good food. Especially avocado toast and their london fog is AMAZING<3 beautiful and refreshing environment!

Mike Bowes

I have not been to Tom Bargains in years. I frequent did their establishment in the world's the area but I have not been to their new place on Edmonton. They did not disappoint. Everything from their Grinders to their machines to their vast selection of Phil & Sebastian coffee to their incredible Baristas. I picked up a bag of non sibo Janine Ethiopian for espresso and I had Graham make me a flat white, which by the way, what is the best flat white I've had in years. Do yourself a huge favor and visit their three locations, under Portage in Maine, the Wolseley area, and the Edmonton store. You will not be disappointed.

Jeremy Revereza

Nice place to go alone or to catch up. ????

Simon Ng

Nice little cafe in the Downtown Winnipeg area just 2 minutes from the Bay. Great place to grab a latte and catch up on some emails.

Verónica Ruiz Badía

Awesome place. The coffee is fantastic, the space is very nice and sunny. I go there at least once a week. They have food but I normally don't eat there so I can't attest to it.

David Johnson

Love this location. Great coffee and staff.

Mark Reimer

I wouldn't get coffee anywhere else... Except maybe their sherbrooke location!

Henrique Pinto

Great place to have a reasonably priced breakfast, their toasts are phenominal and i can only describe them as "artisan", fantastic flavour profiles. my personal favourite is the humus-radish toast topped with was looked like spinach and balsamic vinegar. must have for any traveler.

Todd Honcharik

The coffee is flavourful, the conversation is great and the atmosphere always makes me feel productive!

Thomas Osei-Aning

Friendly Staff very supportive of their neighbourhood and clientele.

Adam H

Best coffee in the area

Chris Crosbie

Tasty coffee.

Dale Reimer

Top notch coffee shop. Great coffee, well-designed and clean. A place every coffee shop should aspire to be.

Charly Panelo

In the heart of downtown, Thom Bargen Coffee is one of the local cafes in the city that have become a coffee fan favourite. This cafe has a lot of sitting space, but can often be filled with students studying, business meetings, and friends having coffee. With the cafe being downtown, parking is quite hard to come by. The lunch choices are on the pricier side, but their coffee and bake goods are reasonably priced. If you buy a large brewed coffee, you can get a refill which is always nice, if you know you're gonna be there long.

Justin Schaeffer

Really well done cappuccino. Seriously makes me re-think my usual choice of coffee. Atmosphere is really chill, great decor and lively if you're going for mid afternoon coffee, but not crowded.

P Barre

Graham’s place is awesome. Breakfast menu items need to be tried, not just their caffeinated beverages

Steve Ens

Super good coffee. Friendly staff.

Chris Johnson

Great coffees/teas, but pricey!

Sidney Shapira

This was my first visit to a Thom Bargan. The Soy Mocha was delicious, as was the muffin. I liked the decor, including the Living Wall.

Shelley Wilson

Fabulous coffee and a lovely space!

Brianna Matchet

Service is great. Espresso is consistently on-point. Highly recommended!

Judith MacFarlane

Carrot muffin was dry and brittle, and tasted like freezer. The iced coffee has some flavour to it but is very weak. You'd like the coffee if you don't like the taste of coffee. Took a while to receive the order. I like the decor in the cafe.

Eric D

Beautifully designed, very clean, staff was friendly and attentive. Excellent cappuccino and in-house made cranberry loaf. Best cafe in Winnipeg.

Kelly Ng

Staffs are nice, I love their London fog(iced), I usually go there to study for couple hours, great environment, the only down side is the table is small, can only fit either drink or laptop, so it is little bit hard to get some work done there. Overall this is a good local coffee shop. Quick tip: They have a card that buy 10 drinks get 1 free, you just have to get it from the cashier counter, they won’t promote it until you get the card by yourself

John Thompson

Been there twice. Enjoyed both times. The staff brought the coffee To us when I asked.

아이네오아이네오

I like this cafe. They are always friendly- And good coffee.

Oly Backstrom

Great coffee, a "go to" in the area. Great locally sourced pastries as well. Accessibility note: main entrance has one step, but adjoining store (Kennedy St.) has accessible entrance (hours may vary from Thom Bargen). Accessible washroom.

Mark Petrasanta

A good coffee place. Not as good as original location, same friendly staff and process. Next best thing.

Harriet Martineau

Never charged me for refills bonus for being a senior it seems. Lots of friendly people to chat with. Except now a little challenging but that will change in time. Coffee very robust flavor.

Steve Harder

Best latte I've experienced. Their house vanilla syrup is divine. Ask the barista why their coffee is better than average. It's eye opening. I'm surprised the Starbucks across the road has any business.

Loved it there

Shawna Rossoukh

I really don't enjoy their coffee. I like my coffee hot. I don't think their machines are capable of making a hot beverage!! Also their cups are too small for the high price that they charge. Too bad Starbucks across street is closed.

Bison Books

The owners' passion and attention to detail are evident. Great coffee, delicious food, friendly staff, good prices, convenient locations, great atmosphere.

Courtney M

Sometimes the wait can be a little long for a grab and go drink but the milk variety and drink quality make up for that. I really like their Matcha Chai Latte with Macadamia milk.
