Great beer! Only 4 stars because they ran out of cheese curds so I couldn't order poutine

Jean-Pierre Jr Dubuc

Great spot, awrsome service. Amazing microbrews, some of the best IPA's in the Quebec City region. Food was great as was the service. Terrific whiskey selection as well. A new favorite spot for us!

Atmosphere excellent, suggest calling ahead for reservations for Thursday, Friday, Saturday evenings. Had the deluxe pouting, easily best ever.

Jesse Léveillé

Great food, awesome beer, tasty cocktails!

Janet Thompson

Fantastic blend of classic charm and chic. Food is way above average for quality, service is excellent.

Serena Castagnola

Didn't really get to enjoy this place fully but it's friendly, has good service and kids are allowed in. The Bitter Anglaise was excellent.

safouen benhadj

Nice ambience and fun selection of beer and cider.

Charo Villalobos

The atmosphere and setting on the waterfront is truly amazing. Food is 10/10. Cons - I don't drink alcohol and they don't have any options with zero-alcool. There's a lot of very good microbrewery producing zero-alcool beers or ciders these days so I believe it's something they are missing. Alternatively they could make Kombucha or something interesting to drink for those who can't have alcool. So yeah for my personal experience it's the only thing missing.

Bill Adoff

Always on time and very quick to go from one side of the river to another. It takes probably around 12 minutes and it's a nice experience overall. You can go to the top of the boat and take a look at the Chateau. It's a nice view of the city skyline that you can't really see otherwise. If you're not fan of the wind you can stay inside. They don't have bathrooms but they have vending machines if you're up for a snack.

Gustavo Carrillo

Enjoyed their poutine. Staff was friendly and nice. Would go again.

Léa Woodbury

Great food, even greater beer and such a nice selection. They won many awards for their beers and I know why. Loved the ambiance and decor. Nice view on St Lawrence River and Québec from terrace. Will definitely go back.

Jonathan Mongrain

Really good food and beer. Good music

David Lawton

Great place. A stone throw from the the ferry. Vive les vacances

Louis Bernath

Worst place! Never go there! The service is awful, it takes forever before they come back to you! The worst of it is they are condescending about it... if you want a good time or beer, go anywhere else!

Mathieu Bédard

nice terrasse and good beer

Pierre Ramsay

They nake goid beer and goid coffee.

Paul Martel

Good brewery with solid range of beers.

Cathy Winget

Best beers and poutine we could try in all Quebec. And super nice and informative waitresses. 10/10 would recommend to absolutely everybody

Gord Hunter

The food here was AMAZING! The perfect place to have a meal when you take the ferry to Levis.

Samuel Araujo

Best view on Le Château! Great food! Excellent beer ;)

Jeff Carter

We thought this brewery was further up the hill, but it is right near the ferry station and bike path. Excellent views of the river and Quebec. We only stopped for a few IPAs, and light snacks and salad, but the beer was good and the staff were friendly. Not too crowded.

Julio Batres - Gavidia

Very nice spot lots of beer good vibes

Vince Dufault-Bedard

Ambiance was very nice. Beers were very good. Overall a very nice place.

Philip Shearing

The food was good, service could have been a little bit better, but not bad enough to knock it down a star. Stop in if you're in the area!

Aaron Tringle

Pretty good beer. Not all the food is good but the pub style food is very good.

Peter Waters

Great food, great beer, good service.

Vishal Bajaj

This pub is in a great location. It’s full of locals and the atmosphere it’s fun and energetic. The servers speak English and were helpful and courteous. We were very impress with the view and the food.

Maria Bongco

Great stop for lunch before heading back to Quebec City on the ferry! We had 2 beer flights, the cheese board and duck drumsticks and it was all delicious! Really enjoyed the pirate theme as well

Samuel Audet-Sexton

Five stars for having a great brewed beer localy: 2 location available!!

Sean Marshall

Perfect place for a craft beer, with a nice view on Quebec city and the Chateau Frontenac. A really good selection of Whisky Rhum and other alcohols. And good food too !

Taras Zommers

Had a nice dinner, though the fries weren't to my taste. The burger was delicious! And the Queen Anne's Revenge was a really nice beer to accompany the meal. Staff was fast and friendly

Adriana G

Great local beers, many of them ( most?) brewed onsite.

Christian Pommer

It took them 1:30 hours to make these dishes, and was not busy at all. Don't bother to order food there.

Caspar de Haes

Super bonnes bières en fût. Bonne ambiance du bord du Fleuve et pleins de québécois chaleureux. Very good and tasty draft crafted beers. Joyful ambiance near the St-Lawrence river with a lot of warmful quebecers. Note: Quebecers we look like a lot like New Foundlanders. New foundlanders are obligated to stop there having a cold one.

Luis Angel Medina Veloz

On vacation in Quebec- everyone very friendly Good brews

Miles Thompson

Good times. Good beers. Cheers

John Shortall

Bit noisy for lunch, otherwise the food is good and beers selection reasonable.

eric st laurent

Take the ferry over to Levi's for the experience and the view. As soon as you get there Le Cossaire is right there with a great selection of beer and snack. Have a few tastes and hope the ferry back every 30 mintutes

Amazing place great people and an amazing city. Very sophisticated people and a very beautiful small city. Relaxing place and a very nice view of chateau de Frontenac. Love the city of Levis and the amazing Québec.

Veronica Conceicao

Home brewed beer. Impressive scotch selection. Hard rock music. What more do you want?

Eric Gagnon

Nice, cozy place for a few drinks with some friends

Joannie Tremblay

Excellent selection of beers and tasting flights are available. Liked almost all of the 8 we tried! Large place so good for groups but therefore less atmosphere away from busy times.

David Phillips

Nice lunch and good English style beers. Take the ferry for a laid back meal...

Gary Larose-Corneil

Great place to have a drink, the staff is very polite and very welcoming. They have a very good selection of drinks and the terrasse outside is very nice.

Evren Lafrance

The food and drink here was awesome. I really love their lemonade!

Vincent Busset

Great beer and great service. Situated with a nice view. Pricing was also good.

Paul Jacobs

A lovely restaurant right on the St Lawrence and in view of old Quebec City. Service is friendly in both French and English, the beer list is broad and tasty, and food comes lighting fast! For Anglophones like myself, like always, I kindly advise trying your French--there's no better place in the world to give it a shot as Quebecois have perhaps the best ears around to understand someone (like myself) speaking French with a terrible English accent and awful grammar! Bonne chance!

Nina Smolnikova

Very convenient to the ferry to Quebec City; service was good. Unpretentious stop!

JF Carpentier

Was a disappointment....food was ok...just ok....nothing special....too pricy for the quality...I had smoked meat sandwich....and it was full of fat and tough nerves....the others had the fish and chips....surely have had better elsewhere...

Josh Wallace

HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! First I had to wait 20 minutes for someone to come and ask me what I would like to order. Second, no one bothered to I see if I needed anything the whole time I was seated. It really ruined my day. Food was very mediocre as well ..... Going to catch the ferry back to Quebec City ASAP. If I could give this place zero Stars I absolutely would. Disgusting. Please avoid... if you are eating alone like I and two others were THEY WILL NOT PAY YOU ATTENTION.

Jessica Hartman

Nice stop in Levis. Fantastic team at the bar. The cider and beer were just what we needed.

Bill Cutrer

Good cheap bar with friendly staff. Good place to get away from the more tourist oriented Quebec City.

Gabriel Geiger

I’ve been here a few times in summertime for food and a beer on the patio. It’s always been very good! This time, my son was visiting me from out of province and he took my girlfriend and me for dinner! It was great! I had the pulled pork sandwich and the pork just melted in my mouth. I ordered mashed potatoes as a side which was also very good. I usually have the Davy Jones stout which I absolutely love. The nachos are always excellent there as well. I highly recommend the restaurant especially for non-French speaking tourists as it’s right by the Old Québec City to Old Lévis ferry terminal and most of the staff there speak English. It is an English style pub after all!

Alain Nollet

Hey if you want a nice view and a good local brew it's the place to go. You'll have the view towards Quebec City in the summer, but nonetheless inside is nice and cozy during the winter. After your done take the ferry and take a walk around the old Quebec City.

Carlos Flores Angell

Incredibly friendly staff, with an older crowd, good beer and snacks

Vale Querini

Great find near the ferry. We just stopped in for a drink but nice atmosphere and service.

Ryan Anderson

Good eats and great micro-brewed beer.

Steve Buffel

Atmosphere is nice. The servers are cute and the overall "gourmet" type of food is nice. The menu often changes since it's made by the chief cook. There's often new things to try so I'd recommend it to anyone who is sick of all those boring fast food menus.

Benjamin Homaii, P.Eng.

Yummy beer; micro brewery that is easy to reach with the ferry; authentic levis people

Oli. R.

Steak tartare was fantastic. Best on the south Shore Noisey but fun

John Mohn

Unfortunately I'm being forced to update this review due to what I perceive as major changes to the business model here. The beer is still great however the service has taken a major down turn and it seems they have decided they can fleece their customers (both regular and tourist) on the kitchen. The for has never been 'cheap' here and the quality is still there but portion size and selection has taken a major hit imo. They lose 2 stars for this and the crappy level of service. Great micro brewery. The beer is exceptional.

Citlali Romero Ramirez

Great view of Chateau Frontenac! Nice ambiance inside

Marion Jansie

A solid pub experience. Right near the ferry with a beautiful patio. My husband had two different ales including a delicious stout. I had their cider and it was wonderful. It seemed to be full of locals and even though we were visiting, people were genuinely friendly. We had the hummus plate and it was fantastic.

Anderson Lange

Excellent, although a little expensive in my opinion. Not too much choice, but great food altogether.

Deborah Roberts

Very good

Alexa Rieb

I ordered a Bison burger and it was great. I liked their beer as well. They had English menu which was great since I don't speak french. Everybody that served spoke English.

Guillaume Sanchez

Black poudding was more than excellent but My companion had problem with fish and chips but the server was very very nice and she insisted to redo the order. Overall we liked the place and will go back when in Quebec city

Amber Potter (amber108yoga)

This place rocks. Great food and specials as evidenced by the cod and seal plate. Solid pub menu and great microbrews. Definitely worth the the ferry trip from Quebec and for you tourists that ferry trip is a great photo-op. Located about 200m from the ferry terminal. I'd say a must add to your this to do here even if the place risks to be overrun with tourists from a local point of view.

Michel Mercure

Very expensive, noisy acoustics. Tapas/snacks are sub par, and they try to be 'chiq' with their food. It's just not an enjoyable experience.

Axel Schulz

Amazing experience, beer, food, place, view and staff.

Jérôme Bourget

I really enjoyed this bar. When I visited we were a group of four. The beers are excellent. I tried two and liked both. The decor inside is pirate themed but had more of a hipster vibe instead of being tacky. The bathrooms were clean. The food was quite good. We shared a platter of interesting cheeses and meats and it was both diverse and tasty. The cod fritters (accras de morue) where well cooked and seasoned, but had too much potato. The inside was mushy, even if the taste was there, the toothfeel was underwhelming. The one thing I actively didn't like was that the terrace doesn't have any parasols. This summer we've had record breaking heat and there are parasol stands available, but they were empty. It seems ridiculous to me that we had to rush as a group to one of the the three tables available that offered any shade. It was nice however to see Quebec city and the saint Laurence from the terrace, even if there was a parking lot between us and the view. Overall, if I did take the ferry over from Quebec city I would go here again, but if it's too hot I'd avoid the terrace... and the cod fritters.

Bé Dé

Great beer selection, fun atmosphere

Frank Robertson

Great beers and good food!

Jim Holmes

Just had lunch after crossing on the ferry. The food was super good (the popcorn poutine was amazing !). However, the Le Corsaire's speciality is their beer. The Davy Jones had an incredibly good taste. Finally the staff was super friendly. Would 100% recommend !

Somya Bhatnagar

World top quality beers from a true english pub in... a french country ! The view on the St-Lawrence river and Quebec old city is sublime. That's what life is all about. Cheers ????

Daniel Segal

Small batch beer not always available and food quite overprice. Still a must go and fun place. Really nice terrace on summer with a view on Quebec city,

Jesse S.

I totally enjoyed my taste of their beers. The food was good too. Unlucky the service was slow.

J.P. Chartier

Incredible beers! And a cool bar!

Suzanna Smith

Great beer, great view, but a recent downgrade in the food. Poutine, pasta and burger are really not what they used to be.

P.J Straten

Great pub ambience. They have a nice pub-style menu and the food taste amazing. Also they have a good selection of Homemade beer

Herman Vanderlinden

A worthwhile destination and a quick walk from the ferry. Great beers on tap and even better hard rock music! Be sure to ask for the Pilsner in tall cans, it's not on the tap list.

Charlie Brady

Nice and taste really good ????????

Yazmin Morrison

Ben is the best bartender ever! We stayed long enough that we missed our ferry. Very fun; great beer menu. Huge food portions. Friendly locals!

Chilly Dippers

Fun place but I'm a bit too old for this kind of scene. Maybe people under 40 will enjoy it more. Good drinks great price

T Rex

Seriously I had really high expectations for this place. But I was just disappointed of my experience. The beers were great, I have to say. I would recommend to go for a quick drink after the ferry. But no more than that. The service was just absent and the food... This is the worst "poutine of the moment" I ever had. It was just so disgusting we were laughing about it. Couldn't tell the server as it was not here for us... Sad to say but be aware.

Philippe Laflamme

Great selection of their own beers, tasty food using fresh ingredients. Worth the scenic ferry ride across from Québec.

duncan mullis

Great spot to sit and enjoy the beer and gaze across the Fleuve at old Quebec. Take the ferry.

Dave DiNicolo

The beer was very good but as we did not eat here can't rate a 5 without that knowledge. Staff was friendly. We had our kids with us and they were not allowed in the main seating area. We could sit on the back patio area which wasn't very picturesque, but fine for chatting over beers.

Mitch Harris

Excellent food!! Great beer. The wine list is very short because they put the accent on their microbrasserie beer.

Raphaël Fortin

After being told by TripAdvisor this spot was open, and then by the actual website that it was only serving "Take-out", we discovered that it was open and had a nice revised menu. This is a very nice gastropub with an excellent variety of their own craft beer. They also feature a very good food menu, so do not go by the outdated website. We ordered the sample platter and it was all delicious. The French Fries were definitely worth the calories, being hot and crispy.

Vincent Côté

The food was amazing, the beers are great and topped only by the service. My wife and I had the tuna tartare and it was amazing. I had the stout and my wife has the cassis beer. Both were great.

Alyssa Busset

great staff beer is exceptional and good kitchen

Good food and service. Close to Levi's ferry terminal.

James Johnson

The seal burger and the beers were very good. Unfortunately, the service was slow.

UIM Star

Loved our lunch at this restaurant. Located near the Quebec fairy witch brings you in the famous Old Quebec. Lots of outdoors seating with an amazing view of the Chateau Frontenac. The food is great and service was spot on. Strongly recommend trying this restaurant.

JR Bélanger

We selected the restaurant online, viewing what appeared to be a decent menu with a view of the St. Lawrence river. Upon arrival we noticed the patio was extremely small. As a result we could not be seated outside as it was full. Unfortunate as we are visiting the area. The decor left a lot to be desired (and I nean alot) as did the menu, which has it turns out was an extremely reduced menu as it was Sunday. I believe we had only three options for dinner. The food was tough and delivered only partially warm. The server should not have been in this role. And we questioned the cleanliness. Really the only good things about this restaurant were the Sangria's and the beer selection.

Carol Homsy

Great micro brews, great atmosphere.

Christopher Van Wieren

Great craft beer. Very friendly bar staff. Bar has some really cool art and just cool vibe all round. Pirates! Right next to the ferry terminal.

Y Henslee

The choice of beer is amazing, staff is really nice and the food is good very beautiful plates

Luc Plamondon

Badass! Nice place to hang out. Take the boat from Quebec in the evening. Have a beer and return by midnight in Quebec by boat with friends, this is a nice ride.

Beer and view are great. Food prices are high

Chi-Han Shen

Nice selection of microbrews, many of them are made on site...Great view of Quebec from Levis, also it is 2 minutes walk from the ferry so convenient place to wait if you miss a departure time!

Amélie Lachapelle

Great beer suggestion, service A1, music awesome

Sebastien Potvin

I dropped in and tried 3 beers which were all awesome. I regret not getting food cause some of the stuff coming out looked to die for especially the ones served on a small surfboard/skateboard deck. BEERS: The Galere was a hoppy IPA with strong citrus aftertaste (was OK for an IPA until the aftertaste hit=awesome), the Bristol (immediately delicious; btw ESB does not mean it is actually bitter), Davy Jones stout (it tastes smoky, very nice). They started playing some great rock music around 330 pm which made it hard to leave. ;)

Bruno-Pascal Roy-Dumas

Good sélection of housse beer and good food too!

Air Dad

Ha d three servers and all were great. Menu was limited as it is a brew pub but what I had was great.

Kevin Schmidt

Great spot very close by the Quebec - Levis ferry. Good craft beer. Great staff. Try their fish and chips. It is a short trip but worth it for the view. Take the ferry from Quebec about 11:30. Wander over for lunch and a pint. Take the ferry back. Food is cheaper and better than all the tourist spots in lower town

Cindy Burrughs

My friend and I went to Levis for a walk and it was the only open restaurant/bar near to the ferry. Very nice place, friendly staff (thank you for speaking English with me, because I’m still way too shy to speak French❤️) Prices are good too, not too expensive. A little poutine costed me 8.50$ (before taxes), 4 little beers (5oz each) costed 8.50$ too. Nice place to grab some beer and something to eat after walking around and when you wait for a ferry back to Québec city.

Elizabeth Stoebel D'Amours

Waited a full 20 minutes at our table with menus watching other groups seated after us get drinks. One waitress asked if we had ordered. We said not yet. Still no server. Weird and unprofessional. We left. Went up the hill for some amazing food and ice cream.
