Spend most of the summer working in Lake Louise, definitely the best spot to eat. Really good wraps, staff are really friendly and not crazy expensive.
This place is amazing. They make some of the best sandwiches in the world, perfect for packing on a long hike.
Service
Great local place to pop in for substantial food at good prices. We had a cajun caesar wrap that was filling, tasty, and super fresh. We also had an Alberta beef burger that was delightfully juicy. Fries were cooked fresh and crispy. Service was fast and friendly! Definitely will be coming back.
Surprisingly very good gobbler sandwich. Salmon bagel & elk stew are ok too.
Lunch
I was excited to try this place because I am from out of town. I don’t understand how a business employs someone with horrible customer service. The girl at the till was extremely rude. Literally has zero people skills. Also the food was nothing special. Wouldn’t come back. Create a more welcoming atmosphere.
Omg! I haven’t had this good breakfast in a while ???? We had wraps and a giant cinnamon bun and we would 100% come again ???? Thank you ????
Parking lot is an absolute ice rink. Fell holding three drinks while escorting two four year olds across the parking lot. After having spent $40 plus tip, they refused to remake two of the drinks despite having received them just a minute prior. Now my arm hurts and no drinks. Awesome guys. The preschoolers really appreciate it too. Have a little heart. They just want money, no interest in having basic human compassion. Just a follow up to the response from the restaurant — I definitely did not yell at anyone. I let the lady who had helped me know that hey I dropped the drinks and she said okay I can make new ones if you pay for them. It was purely said in a nice way. She said let me see what I can do and then kept taking orders. After five mins, I asked the guys cooking hey is there gonna be a way to get new drinks? It was then the manager said “you’d have to pay for them.” I couldn’t believe it — and yes when he said “you can blame the guy who does the snow” then yes I expressed my displeasure. No one needs a jerk talking back to them and all I said was “even though I spent $40.” Unbelievable. At minimum I’d appreciate my tip back.
Food was good but the staff were very rude. The main cook made numerous comments under his breath about my order and had to remake it as he didn't follow my dietary restriction request. He had a bad attitude and was very unpleasant.
This is the banger in the mall for everyone starving for takeout after your amazing adventures in Alberta for sure. Wide array of simple sandwiches that’ll turn you over and get you ready for the next road trip or hike or whatever is your fancy if you know what I mean.
If you want exceptional food, stellar service, and great prices, then you need to check this place out. Don't be fooled by it's humble appearance, these people know what they are doing. I want to give a specific shout out to Amy, who greeted us with a smile, let us take our time, and serviced us with haste. With all the troubles of COVID happening, it was refreshing to find a little haven. Thank you for the motivating service Amy! 10/10

One of the best lattes I have ever had. You’d never think this would be the place you’d find on of the best coffees, so put this on your list. The bagel breakfast sandwiches were amazing! I went there for breakfast every day I stayed in the mountains.
Food is freshly made and so delicious. We came here 3 times during our stay. We tried the Montreal sandwich, the Bliss burger, and the Avocado toast. Everything is delicious. And yes... the wait is a bit annoying but we will deal with it.
This is the place for a great espresso or coffee in Lake Louise. There food is also awesome.
Oh man, best sandwiches around this side of the Rockies. Get the Houston and you will not have a problem, see what I did there...
Brunch
Really great food. Felt more like a grab and go place. It was really crowded during lunch. Got an Elk Stew, and The Huston (sandwich). The Elk Stew is good to try if you never had Elk before. Done well and the Stew is nice and thick. The Huston is a must try. The pulled pork is tender and the macaroni and cheese in the sandwich was great. Really fantastic. Had a brew coffee and a maple canadiano. Maple Canadiano was sweet and a good try.
We had breakfast two out of the three days from here. That Trailhead breakfast bagel with bacon was amazing. The coffee was really good too! We grabbed some lemon poppyseed loaf and a savoury scone for the road home. They were both just as fantastic as the bagels.
Grabbed a couple breakfast wraps here before hiking around Lake Louise, they were huge and really tasty. The Americanos were also great and the staff was super friendly very early in the morning.
A great place to grab a cup of coffee before heading up to Lake Louise or Lake Morraine. It definitely helped us out. Stopped here twice during our trip, and we'll definitely be back whenever we return! It's also a good place to grab a sanwhich from for lunch ????
In general in terms of food, this area seems to be a desolate place. We went to a few places we didn't like, such Laggons right nearby. We noticed that Trailhead had an exceptionally long line up. The next day in a tried it and were very impressed. The staff seems friendly and enthusiastic to help. We went there in the morning and wanted lunch menu items and they were able to make them for us. Their fryer wasn't on so they offered us a side of salad or to charge us a little less for an item that was supposed to come with fries. I got the pulled pork and mac and cheese sandwich. It's called the Houston. It was finger licking good and a complete contrast to the quality of food you can expect anywhere else in this area. If you're able to eat pork, try the Houston. If not, they have other menu items that also look really good. We also tried the bliss burger and were happy with that as well.
Came all the way from Montreal. Wonderful and friendly service, love the set-up and all the posters on the walls. Very unique! Great vibe and fast service.
Lots of food options, but rude staff, the Aussie girl and the skinny white kid making the sandwiches.
We swinged by here for a quick breakfast. The avocado toast and veggie omelette was awesome. Chai latte is my favourite and they just did it right. There is a small area with benches right next to the river, which made my breakfast just perfect!
Their avocado toast was so refreshing. The salmon bagel was great too along with the chicken pastry. Definitely recommend
Breakfast wrap is really good, i would definitely get this again. Tried their elk soup, not good, very bland. A bit slow getting the food out, but all the staff were very nice.
We visited this location every morning of our trip and enjoyed all of our options! Monique has a great personality and the rest of the staff was very friendly. This place has better reasonably priced options than where we stayed! Well worth the drive down the mountain for great coffee, tea, and food! And the lemon poppy loaf is delicious.
My husband and I were in Lake Louise this past September. We stayed at the Chateau Lake Louise for a couple days and discovered Trailhead Café on our way back from a hike. We were starving and tired and I really wanted a warm soup and sandwich. We drove by the town and say it. It was the one of the best lunches we had during our trip. We had the elk stew, dill pickle soup and the chicken BLT on a wrap. All 3 were absolutely delicious. We highly recommend this great café to anyone going to Lake Louise. The staff is friendly and kind, the food is delicious and the price is just right. Thank you Trailhead staff for an incredible experience we will never forget.
Take out
Really friendly staff and great sandwiches. We had a panini'd wrap with steak that was absolutely amazing. I'd definitely come back.
Love the food and the atmosphere! The staff is incredibly friendly. Definitely one of my favourite places to go to in Lake Louise!
I can give 10 stars for their amazing food at affordable prices & quick service . Lisa's chicken salad sandwich was one of the best I ever had. We loved the Cajun chicken Caesar wrap too. Don't miss it if you are near Lake Louise.
I adore this place. It's always been my go - to for pre or post excursion snacks. "The cure" breakfast wrap is one of the best things in the world. In the past few years I've been using trailhead to supply lunches for hiking groups and their quality, timeliness and communication is the best! Thank you Monique for making my life so much easier!
Stellar place to grab a hot or cold meal. Fast and friendly service. The perfect meal combo on a cold day is their elk stew and a warmed veggie samosa. The samosas are to die for!! Just the perfect amount of spicy and heat! Their treats and coffee are amazing. Great sandwich wraps too!! Love this place after a day of sking!
I asked for a bagel with eggs, sausage (Trail head bagel). I was expecting a McDonald’s breakfast sandwich size bagel. Instead, what I received, was an egg monstrosity that was enough to fill the stomach of 5 grown man. The taste was amazing, especially paired with coffee. Highly recommend. Would do again
Great place for breakfast or lunch. Decently priced coffees and well portioned delicious food items. Had their breakfast wrap 'the cure' and their smoked salmon bagel(on different days) and was thoroughly full with both. Expect slight tourist pricing, though very limited food options in the area
Take out
I would highly recommend coming here during your visit to Lake Louise. I would actually prefer eating here over the deli and lake view restaurant at the Fairmont! Their falafel wrap is very tasty if you need a vegetarian option and all their warm sandwiches like the Gobbler and Houston are both comforting and delicious. Friendly staff and very quick turn around time.
After all the great reviews, I took our family of 4 there and... was not impressed. My Reuben was decent but my partner's was missing the sauerkraut. My son's BLT barely had contents and was missing the lettuce, and all 4 of our sandwiches were made on burnt bread (because of this, my kids gave up on their meals, altogether). The staff seemed great - but our order was not. Really unfortunate.
Super nice ladies, great food options for a quick bite.
Service
It was tasty , take out sandwiches
Stopped in for breakfast. Delicious and very filling breakfast bagel. Hot coffee and good quick service. Will stop in again!
Got a grilled sandwich from them! And it was great! Just have to wait in the line up which takes time but otherwise decent food. And friendly staff
Great coffee and open early. Friendly staff will definitely be back again!
I can't say anything about this cafe I tried trailhead breakfast and it was super delicious

Great wraps! Tried the Greek and Cajun Chicken Ceasar. Thanks for the lunch. See your next time we're driving by.
