Best manooshi I’ve had in a while! Highly recommend the kofta et fromage. Beautifully designed shop as well, perfect for a brunch or coffee date.
Wow! Food was spectacular! So fresh and well made. Will definitely come here again.
Nice place, great mocha!
Best Manoucheh in town! Great team and location, French and amazing food !
A real Gem in Plateau & Montreal for sure. The place has a great vibe. The food is Lebanese. Taste delicious & generous portions. Friendly & attentive staff. If you are a student or a Digital Nomad like my self , it is a place to be. Usually busy with people. Naturally good places attract more crowds. Cafe Chez Tete is more than a coffee shop that has a real unique character of its own.
Super authentic Lebanese manouche. The staff is super nice and welcoming. The location is in the plateau. They have big dining space. I order 2 kafta and cheese, brownies and pudding which all of them were delicious. I recommend ????????????????
Brunch
What an amazing find! Authentic. Delicious. Cute place. Great service! 10/10 ✨
Went there with my parents and for two zaatar and one cheese mankouche! The taste was soon good it brought me back to Lebanon. The staff is super friendly and the atmosphere in the store is cozy. A must try
What an amazing little café this place is! We were greeted by the owner, Mélodie who was very welcoming and informed us about the place, the history behind it, etc. The chairs and tables are wooden and give a rustic vibe We ordered one manouché zaatar, one manouché cheese, manouché lahem b ajin, manouché kafta and one manouché zaatar and cheese. Everything is made with the traditional oven and tastes like the ones I used to buy in Lebanon! The service is very fast, despite the place being very busy with delivery orders, etc. We also ordered one coffee and an espresso, which were also delicious. The price is a bit high compared to other places who sell the same products, but for the quality of the ingredients, the generosity and the whole vibe of the place, it is totally worth it!
????????

The food is delicious and I love the vibe.
I had the chance to visit this cozy café last summer and I will be back on my next trip to Montreal. This place was exceptional and situated in a vibrant area of the city. They serve authentic Lebanese food. I ate a delicious salade de betteraves, fatouche and shared with my family different freshly made manouchés. The prices of the dishes were reasonable considering the quality of the food (healthy food) and service. The ambiance was great even with Covid restrictions in place. I bought myself a coffee mug on my way out as this was a place to remember.
Great food, nice tea, kind staff. Would definitely recommend!
(Translated) I had a terrible experience at Téta. The service was beyond abysmal and the price for a small dinner was beyond reproach. Two manouches, a hummus and two coffees for $ 50. What joke. Also, since the dining room was full, we had to wait outside (which is okay). The problem is, after a 20-25 minute wait, the only thing they gave us was a little space in the middle between 2 people with no distancing or protection. Their clients stay there for hours doing their homework and drinking their little coffee with no time limit, while others wait half an hour to eat there. I would never understand how this place can be so popular. Truly fifty dollars wasted. A rip off to avoid. Un rip off à éviter.
Genuinely the best manakeesh in MTL and tastes just like (or honestly better) than the manakeesh at some of the most popular places in Lebanon. I cannot really do more to convince first-timers to try Chez Teta through a review so I strongly suggest seeing for yourself. If you happen to go in person, you'll also find a ton of authentic Lebanese products and ingredients that are unsurprisingly used in their own fantastic products. I discovered this place a few months ago and I'm so glad that I did. A minimum of one order per week is necessary for me at this point and I think that's a testament to the incredible work of the staff and the owners who have genuinely managed to bring a small slice of Lebanon to MTL. Much love and support!
Tasty manakeesh and a cozy indoor dining setting, a pretty nice date place. However, the food is expensive considering it tastes very comparably to other manakeesh places which offer even bigger portions at lower prices.
What an amazing find. The food was so amazing, so tasty and fresh and served on beautiful pottery plates which come from local artist. We have quite a few dishes, coffee and lemonade and everything was just perfect.
(Translated) Only great vibes, great coffee, great food, beautiful decor and friendly people. Everything is good but you absolutely have to try the Lebanese coffee with cardamom!
Adorable Lebanese spot with a family feel. Super sweet homey staff. Try a manoushé!
I had the Kafta et Fromage with garlic and aioli for take out. Really delicious. This is an elegant little cafe that I’d love to sit down and spend more time in.

Awesome place! Their manaeesh are the best! I especially recommend the beef (with lemon and pepper) and cheese. The staff are nice and the décor is pretty nice as well, so it’s nice to eat it there.
I like this place a lot and I go very often
Lunch
Good food!
No customer service and rather desorganized! We were waiting to be seated after coming from the west island and they chose to give the seat to someone wHo requested it after us. No apologies !! We’ll go back once customer service improves.

As a Lebanese this is one of my go-to places whenever I want a taste of home. Best manouches in the city, no comparison.

Best lebanese Food in Montreal !! This is my second time to this amazing hidden Gem in Montreal ...it is not easy to find a small spot that does lebanese mana2eesh the right way ...the quantity and quality of the food is amazing ...also they have some amazing coffee not to mention lebanese coffee that taste amazing ( being from Egypt I appreciate Lebanese coffee which is really hard to find on this city !!) Unfortunately did not have time to take photos as almost all mana2eesh were gone in couple of mins ( only one I remembered to take photo was the zaater at the end ) !! Tip : dont miss Lahma b ajin & Kafta w fromage ...the best !!

They make the best dough, better than most places in the country of origin! A local breakfast favorite. Highly recommended!
Always great service and amazing food, I have been to Chez Teta more than 10 times already. Very authentic Manakeesh, exactly the same as in Lebanon, also really liked their molasses cake. I hope they add Knafeh on their menu :)
Loved it
I don't normally review on google but this is the best manouché i have ever tasted in Canada, tastes exactly like the authentic places in Lebanon. Great job i will be coming often with friends and family. Price is a little higher but it comes with quality.

WOW !!!! The staff is super friendly and you feel that they care about their customers and the business. Nevertheless, the food is super fresh and tasty. You must try the Lahmacun it is heavenly !! I was sad Chez Apo in Villeray closed down a while ago, but to my suprise this place is way better.

Best food ever, very friendly staff, highly recommended ????????????
Absolutely superb manakeesh; gave me authentic Lebanese vibes. The lemonade was freshly made too. Loved the service.
Excellent authentic Lebanese food (manakish) with a fantastic service. Everything is made with love and delivered with a very warm smile. Their manakish are excellent and done authenticly the traditional way. Try the moitié Zaatar moitié jebné. The keshek was amazing too as well as the yummy cheese n the kaftan. Their sweets are amazing too! The sfouf, the carobee cake n the Halawa brownies are yummyyy. Also ask guy for his excellent Corrado!! Well done! A great addition to plateau n Rachel st.

(Translated) Not only are their Mana'echs delicious (the best in Montreal, seriously !!) but they are really adorable: I ordered 2 Man'ouchés and after a few minutes of waiting, the lady only gives one alone, I told her that I had ordered 2 but I realize by telling her that she had only made me pay for one (I had thought to myself that it was really not expensive). Spontaneously, the chef tells me to wait a minute for him to prepare another one for me, I then insist on paying the other but the chef categorically refuses, prepares me a second on the spot, and tells me about it. offer, steaming and just out of the oven, without accepting that I pay him! I found it incredibly kind and it reminded me of how good Lebanese warmth and generosity are. Puis je me suis vraiment régalée :)
I tried café chez Téta for the first time during COVID when all we could do is grab take out. The cheese manouch is different from the other cheese manouch i tried in Montreal. I have to say it reminds me of the manouch i used to have in Dubai. The restaurant is also very Cozy and nicely decorated and the staff amazingly friendly (they definitely have the lebanese welcoming vibe)
(Translated) Wonderful food, coffee and service! I am in love with the zaatar / cheese manouche as well as the Lebanese coffee with cardamom!
Let me start off with the best things about this place: the Lebanese coffee (which is truly life changing) and the staff. The service is so friendly (I legit saw the barista bring over coffee to an older lady as well as walk her across the street with her fares). The manoushe is baked fresh in the location. I had it vegan with tomatoes, mint and cucumber and it was a great lunch. The caroube cake (vegan) is amazing. Has a small butter tinge to it that I adore, not sure how to explain it! The sfouf is good in terms of flavour but was a little dry! I am going to try it fresh in the morning to see if it makes a difference. I’m excited to try their other dishes!
(Translated) The food is delicious. (Original) La nourriture est délicieuse.
Check their Latte à la Halva - so authentic and delicious (with pistachio and sesame )
The staff are super sweet and the Lebanese coffee was so flavourful and good. Tried the muhammara dip and it was SO. TASTY. The zaatar manouche was great too. Can’t recommend this place enough
Service
Great traditional Lebanese food. Best in town.
(Translated) I went to Cafe Téta with some friends during the July heatwave and we stopped there by chance. The place could not be simpler, with rudimentary tables, we never had the worry of investing a penny in the decoration and the atmosphere. The toilet was disgusting, we do not wash the floors and the toilet often in this "restaurant" (I will avoid going into details). As there were five of us, we sat around a large table (near the toilets and we saw people come in and out immediately, it's so dirty). When we finally realized that no one was coming to serve us after fifteen minutes, we went out and went to eat in Saint-Laurent, where we know how to receive customers. I did not understand the way to operate this place which I consider a hole, given the cleanliness and the service, or rather, the lack of service.
Absolutely love that place, a real gem on the plateau! Their manouche (lebanese pizzas) are amongst the best I tried in Montreal, and one of the few places where you can have coffee (wether arabic or lattes) with cardamon. LOVE IT! And what can I say about the staff, other that they are welcoming and kind ????
(Translated) Delicious and authentic, although a little expensive.
Dine in
Delicious and generous.
Excellent latté & manakish ! ????
Delicious food. Their manouchés are a must. Great lebanese cuisine in the heart of Montreal's Plateau neighborhood.
(Translated) I have most likely eaten more than a thousand zaatar mankouché in my life :-) Not difficult when you grow up in Lebanon. So I allow myself a detailed evaluation! Teta's mankouche uses a thick base which is very well made (there are thin dough versions). The ingredients of zaatar are the standard ingredients in Lebanon (thyme, sesame seeds, summac, salt). It's the best formula in the Middle East (in my opinion) and the blend is well dosed at Teta. The ingredients look fresh. Obviously, we find the best thyme and the best summac in the mountains in Lebanon, but for Quebec, it's very good! Very personally, I would put a little more (which one can ask in Lebanon: "zaatar extra men fadlak") but I will not recommend that to a beginner :-) The oil is quite correct (probably very good but would have to be judged on several times). The result is what, after many trials in Montreal, seems to me to be the best mankouché in Quebec. (Yes, we find manakich (mankouché in the plural) at Adonis and Andalos and Arouch). But the pleasure of eating one that has just come out of the oven is incomparable. By -20C, it will be a pure delight.) And here I am transformed into a food critic :-))) In summary: For the addict that I am, it's absolutely brilliant to have a place that does good mankouché on Rachel! :-)))) NB: Also tasted sfouf (the kind of yellow "muffin"). I am not a big fan but I can confirm that in my case, they are made according to the rules of the art even if in Lebanon, there are some drier and quite different. With the almond pastry from the Azrak pastry shop, rue Viel, the kaak from Andalos, etc etc ... we are spoiled!
Absolutely love this place and the vibe! I tried their lebanese coffee (super strong) and manousheh (tasted amazing!)
Friendly and great coffee beverages.
Great food

(Translated) Hahaha! The answer to Josée L does not hold water. There is no one who works hard in this restaurant, we are not even able to serve at the tables. Shouldn't you be cowardly enough! Keeping customers in line for ages, is that your definition of working hard? (Original) Hahaha! Great, quick, easy, delicious foods.

Excellent Service. Exceptional Food. Dedicated & caring owners. The nicest and cleanest washroom a business can have as well. A golden standard for Lebanese and overall cuisine in Montréal.

Awsome place the food is amazing ???? and you feel that you're in Lebanon... Very friendly staff ☺
Ordered the zaatar and jibneh man'ouche and wow it's amazing. Gotta say it's the best I've tried !
By far the best place in town for authentic Lebanese Manakish or simply to hang out with a nice fresh coffee !! Thanks to the amazing staff who make this place such a pleasure to visit on our weekend mornings ????
Very good lebanese made cofee and delicious Zaatar.
Delicious mana'eesh and arabic coffee. The smell alone reminds me of home away from home.
Great take in Lebanese food. If you're nearby, you gotta eat here!

This superb café satisfied my desire to enjoy authentic Lebanese mouthwatering manqousheh which presented in a very hygienic and professional manner.
(Translated) Very good brunch, the salads are fresh and delicious and the manouches are excellent, tried the lamb one. The staff provide good advice and are super nice.
I had lunch at Chez Teta recently and it was delicious. We had hummus, labneh, fattouch and a few different manouche and everything was delicious. The food was fresh and tasty, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The homemade desserts and cardamom cold brew were perfect for rounding out our our meal. I highly recommend and will definitely be back!
I've been wanting to try out chez Teta for a while, and finally visited recently. The location on a vibey Plateau street made for a great spot to eat, and both a manoushe and lahme b'ajeen delighted. Two Lebanese coffees, with a hint of cardamon were an excellent accompaniment, and if I'm in the mood for a Lebanese breakfast, Chez Teta would be high on my list.
Craving for man'oucheh (lebanese pizza) with a lebanese coffee? This is easily the top places if not the best in Montreal for it. Even their lebanese sweet are good!
(Translated) Absolutely delicious! A must-see when you are near Mont-Royal !!!
(Translated) What a strange and disconnected place! We had been seated for 15 minutes, when finally, someone came to inform us that we had to order at the cash register, like in a McDonald's ???? So we lined up near the oven where the heat is unbearable, while a couple in front of us asked questions about each item ... 20 minutes standing like tatas to order in a place where we are dying. of heat and piled on top of each other, during the covid !!! When we received our order, I noticed that the lemonade glasses were microscopic and I would have liked to order two more (they are so small and filled with ice), but there were still people in line and I Wasn't going to line up for 15-20 minutes for a lemonade. We wanted to try their desserts but we went elsewhere, since it's so unacceptable to wait every time you want something. An establishment that operates as a fast food chain, and although it is delicious and authentic, there is no service. This is not the kind of service I have received in other Lebanese restaurants, which are much more welcoming and where you understand the concept of service. It is extremely bizarre to realize that this business is not organized around customer service, but rather around their own need. There are three women waiting behind us who came out of the restaurant seeing the wait time and we should have done the same. My wife saw a couple go out as well, because the idea of standing around like a pickle to give your order doesn't make sense. We do not go to this kind of restaurant to be served in this way. Terrible experience.

Love this place! I had the manouché, half zaatar/half cheese. It was perfectly fresh and right out of the oven, doesnt get better than this. Looking forward to trying their other specialties as well! Such a cute name too:)
Super cute place! I absolutely loved my coffee and my manouché. I can't wait to be able to sit inside and get the full Café chez Téta experience!
Such a yummy flat bread ???? had the kefta one, with cheese, and it was perfectly splendid and crisp.
Excellent food and even better service!
This place is amazing!! Super good food, great ambiance, amazing service! I have nothing negative to say and I'm picky. Highly recommended.
I really like the half cheese half zaatar manouché! The halloumi bacon is good also and everything came hot fresh from the oven! Feels like home again with slecially the turkish coffee!
Good food, very modern decor and the staff is always ready to serve you
Dine in
Super spot! Loved it.
(Translated) Café chez Téta is the kind of restaurant where you hesitate what to order because EVERYTHING is delicious! Original, authentic, and high quality items! Can't wait to go back every time I go ???????????? Very good & simple middle eastern dishes
(Translated) I really liked the half cheese half zaatar manouche with the addition of tomato, cucumber and mint. I recommend!
While good taste nothing justify the price! Nice interior decor would be nice to try sitting there if they expand their menu. Also workers where very loud and noisy.
I like management. She named the restaurant after her grandmother. When you eat it, they come to check on you after being served. The food is great, fast and unique. I like it is the only place that I know of in the Plateau where you can ask for Turkish coffe, although it could be better since they prepare in a hurry
(Translated) I had the manouché with kafta and cheese, the hummus and the fattouche. I loved the manouché and the hummus, the flavors were very present and succulent. I recommend! However, I was disappointed with the fattouche; the dressing tasted only olive oil and sumac. I think a little acidity kick would have helped and the price seemed too high a touch. Finally, receiving a little note about my order from the employees made my day. It's a nice touch, thank you!
(Translated) Nice discovery! We tasted the Zaatar / Cheese manouché and the Kafta. They were delicious. They are made up to the minute and you really taste the oven taste. The flavors of the kafta were really very good. We can't wait to go back to test the rest!
Can't wait for the eat-in to reopen! Nice ambiance and delish food. Ideal for a lunch or a coffee break.
Their Mageesh are good
(Translated) Hahaha! The answer to Josée L does not hold water. There is no one who works hard in this restaurant, we are not even able to serve at the tables. Shouldn't you be cowardly enough! Keeping customers in line for ages, is that your definition of working hard? (Original) Hahaha!
Most tender and tasty man2oucheh in town... must try out their lebanese coffee too... sooo good !!!
Very good food ! Fair price! Excelente service!!! We really recommend and will return!
Very surprised, Manouche kafta delicious ????
What a gem! This place serves authentic Lebanese breakfast in a cozy atmosphere.

Love it. Order from outside window. Nice service
Fantastic manouches! Their halwa brownies are also very rich and delicious ????
Their manaesh are really good, the dough is not heavy. The service is warm and welcoming, and they have those Lebanese olive soaps from back home! Even my mom felt like she was back home and loved their food!
(Translated) I'm not used to writing reviews here but it's those little things that can make a big difference. I hope you reading this will make you want to go! From the first time I went to Café chez Téta, I fell in love with it. This is the kind of place where you really feel "at teta". The food is wonderful, and I say that with every Lebanese root in me that loves a good manouché. We are there! It's perfectly located for strolling around the plateau, or even staying to eat (they've perfected the simplicity). The team is incredible, I have rarely seen people greet you at the cash desk with a big smile! And for my part, I have never left without a smile, and I always look forward to going back every time! To the team, don't give up! The current circumstances are very difficult for the restoration. Regardless, you are doing a great job! Bravo x
New Lebanese mana'eesh spot (opened 7 or 8 months ago). The manouché is made as fresh as can be. Every time I've been it has hit the spot. Lebanese coffee is great as well. Try the zaatar & cheese all dressed or the kafta with aioli and tomato.
(Translated) Very good mana'iches! Super good zaatar, cheese and lahmb'ajin, a little less kishk but still very good. Very good coffee and above all very nice welcome!
Service

Amazing coffee shop ????
Excellent place for mana'ish, Lebanese coffee and desserts. They do it just right, as the name implies. The cheese and kishek mana'ish are personal favourites. Discovered this place last year, can't wait for my (nearby) office to open again, I'll be coming every week !
(Translated) Excellent and personalized customer service & what about the mana'eech, fresh and delicious! One of the best in Montreal.
(Translated) All in all very good and a nice place !! We eat well, nothing fancy but more than good! Very busy, very chaotic! This place has identity problem, it's a cafe so a lot of students with Tablet and Computer, ok cool but that explains why we have to wait so long !! You want students who will have a comfortable coffee at the table or customers who will place a good order, eat 30 minutes and move on !! To see again, I think !! In Laval there is a large Lebanese community and you will find better! But Laval is not connected like MTL !! Very nice hostess and server thank you !!
Excellent
Excellent café with great food and a wonderful staff
(Translated) I really liked the hospitalization of the owners. They are welcoming and smiling. A fresh and very good espresso coffee. Their mankoushe made with fresh and delicious ingredients. I recommend this new restaurant / cafe highly.
(Translated) They call it a cafe, so they don't have to serve their customer. I went there last week during the heatwave, they weren't running the air conditioning, we were literally bursting and you had to wait in line for 15 minutes. There were three water containers on a counter, but they were all empty and the glasses were dirty. They don't take care of customers, not even able to turn on the air conditioning. I understand why everyone is frustrated with the service at this place. It's the kind of place that deserves to close, it's so mediocre.
I just had the tastiest thyme and cheese manoushe at Café chez Téta. The quality of the thyme, the softness of the dough, and the flavourful hand-picked veggies were superior. I was very impressed by the fast service, the hospitality of the owners, the cleanliness of the venue, and most importantly the authenticity of the menu. Truly felt as if I had brunched in Lebanon. Keep it up!
Love this place!!! Seriously has one of the best manouche I have ever tasted in Montreal. Everything is prepared fresh and the barista there is awesome!! Highly recommend
Great coffee, brownies are on point, and friendly staff
Charming café, great food and service.

It'cozy and traditional place ,good hospitality, delicious food.
I like their food quality, price and service.
(Translated) Delicious cardamom coffee !!! Very nice place, it's nice to eat there you don't feel rushed to leave. Fresh and delicious food a bit pricey but all very good (Original) Délicieux café à la cardamome!!!
Delightful middle Eastern brunch with great vegetarian options!
(Translated) It's not a nice place to spend your money on overpriced food. It's overpriced but we had read some positive reviews. But it's really not worth it. Like many reviews, it's the owners' friends who write anything, and again, customers are encouraged to write something in exchange for a sandwich. It's a show.

(Translated) Lebanese cardamom coffee is great! The spinach triange is delicious, and generous. Nice atmosphere. I advise.
Excellent
Wonderful customer service, Wonderful people, amazing coffee ♡
(Translated) I sat down at a table with my wife, I waited 10 minutes before someone deigned to see us, telling us that we had to order at the counter! We got out of there all at once. When we go to a restaurant, we are used to being served. Otherwise, we go to McDonald's. Such a disappointing place.
Best man2ouche in Montreal!
