This cafe is an okay place to come if you already live in the area. Honestly that's the only reason why I come. It's usually packed with people studying or getting some sort of work done so if you plan on staying awhile and doing the same, youre gonna wanna come early in the day and secure that spot. As for the food, I'm not the biggest fan. Even the drinks are meh, and the desserts take like they're straight out of the grocery store. Service is okay, sometimes nice and sometimes not depending on the staff. Like I said, it's a good place to come and sit down and get some work done if you get a spot. If you're just coming to catch up with a friend, I would suggest a better cafe than this.

One of my favourite cafe’s! I really enjoyed the atmosphere outside with the covered, largely spaced patios. Smoothies were also amazing — love the mango chai! Only tip if your looking for breakfast items to not go 30-40 mins before they close as they weren’t able to make them at the time which is reasonable , just a heads up.

2020.10.03. One stop today afternoon was at the cafe "Coffee Culture" and eatery in Mississauga. I had my regular hot Americano. Great coffee. Very busy place with indoor and outdoor seating. They serve coffee, desserts, and food such as sandwiches. Great location. All staff busy but very polite.

It was my favorite place for a long time, but today I had awful experience. It started when I was making an order, that cashier was poking her nails showing like she is doing me a favour accepting my order. While I was paying she left somewhere, I was waiting for my table number she came back impatiently and threw me number 12, that fell down near my cup. Then I asked her password for wifi, she didnt even turned to me, mumbling smth. And the final shot - she brought me waffles with a hair. WTF, she did not like me personally or it's just her way of treating people? Good thing - I found many other great places on the lakeshore.

Just the kind of cafe you would want to go to unwind your work week stress. Despite being one if a chain of coffee shops, it still has a lot of personal touch. The staff was very warm and friendly. The manager was very courteous and gave great food recommendations. We had the popular BLT sandwich and avocado and Turkey sandwich. Both of which exceeded our expectations. BLT was a clear winner still.

I really like the coffee at Coffee Culture, especially the dark roast. But it drives me crazy that the prices are so inconsistent. Sometimes I'll be charged ~$3.00 for a redeye and sometimes it's closer to $7! I've even gone with coworkers (on numerous occasions), where we've ordered the exact same drink and been charged differently.

Coffee Culture is a wonderful Cafe here in Sarnia. They have two locations, today I visited the downtown location. I enjoyed the lovely and charming atmosphere. Friendly staff created a the delicious waffle breakfast and a sausage English muffin combo with Coffee of course. Thank you for a delightful experience!

Awful customer service!!! The middle aged lady that works there behind the counter during the day was extremely rude to me and my friend. When we first walked in; my friend had a chatime in her hand. The lady at the counter told us outside food & beverages aren’t allowed so we complied with her. My friend had her drink outside and then we walked back in. Once we entered for the second time I approached the counter; I ordered a coffee and a slice of cake for myself but the lady said I couldn’t sit there if we both (me and my friend) didn’t order something. What kind of dumb rules are these? I was literally going to buy two items from the menu but she insisted that I buy more for no reason. My friend didn’t want anything and she was literally forcing us to buy more just to sit there. I don’t understand what kind of rules they have. I don’t see why my friend had to buy something just to sit there with me when she didn’t want anything. I got really furious with the way they spoke to us in a condescending manner. We were gonna buy something and she acted like we were just going to sit there, talk and take up a spot. We are never going to visit this place or recommend it. I’d give it less than one star if I could. Anybody reading this; it isnt worth it. There are plenty of other good spots nearby within walking distance.

A nice place for a Saturday coffee and sandwich. The staff here are courteous and the seating and ambiance are your typical upscale coffee shop. I’ll be coming back on another weekend outing with my wife. Their dark roast is worth trying.

Questionable service, seems to be either racist or agest because they had definitly served the older white couple much better then they have served me. I had to ask for extra cream twice because they put so little each time. Why isn't there milk and cream available for self service anyway? The decor is nice though and it's much quiter then balzacs so it's good for getting work done (probably partly because of the questionable service). Hopefully they can improve their service as it is essential as buisness owners. People who are not passionate about their jobs rarely find success.

Really cool little place. I only had a tea so can't rate their coffee or food. It was cozy and had a charming atmosphere. Unfortunately the patio is right between 4 bus stops, so it was super noisy due to about 20 teens who kept running around and coming up on the patio to bang around on the piano. By the way, there is a piano on the patio!

Decent seating and good food but the manager is extremely rude. I was ordering my food while my colleague was standing behind me and she tells me “he has to order too” and in shock I told her “he is ordering. We are ordering separately.” How is this woman still working here? You don’t accuse customers as soon as they walk in the door. Ive seen her there often and have had bad experiences every time Ive spoken to her. She treats every customer like they are trying to freeload. I will be finding a different coffee shop to go to from now on.

I went to this location on July 14th I hadn't eaten anything that day and I ordered chicken bacon ranch wrap and a chiller. I had about half of the first half of the wrap it tasted fine, 20 minutes later I had abdominal cramping and puking for the next 24 hours I was also admitted to the hospital and put on I.V as I couldn't keep any fluids and had nothing in my system to puke up the bad food. I wont be returning and I will continue to follow up. Edit.. i did puke up what I did have of the wrap however since I hadn't ate anything besides that all day and continued to puke up my fluids. With nothing to get the bacteria out. Also I might add that multiple anti nausea meds were put into my i.v and still didn't work. Worst experience of my life.

Serve hot and cold drinks, baked goods and light meals. Efficient service and friendly staff. A group of us visit here regularly as it's one of the few coffee houses that we can rely on to seat up to 9 of us at a time. It's located in an old, traditional bank building. The safe door is visible behind the counter. It has freestanding tables, booths and upholstered chairs. Can be noisy when busy due to accoustics.

To avoid confusion I can assure you that you have nothing to fear as long as you don't go to a place like this. From the moment I and my friend entered the facility we were both met with hostility by a female whom I can only explain in detail as the most inhospitable creature I have ever met. For reasons still unknown to me we were asked to buy something immediately or we would have to leave. The funny part about it is we hadn't sat down but two minutes when the woman who was pretending to clean approached my lady friend in the most nail-to-chalkboard fashion. I get it we all have bad days but the lack of professionalism was off the richter. She tells us in without discretion "this is a restaurant" and then says " get up out of the seats and go make an order" making a scene. Honestly, the shock had me paralyzed for a few seconds, but that quickly turned to anger. As it was not appropriate in any sense of the word. To top the there was another person behind the counter encouraging this behavior. Someone needs to investigate this place we are in Canada where this should never be tolerated.

Nice staff there. They remember your order, smile a lot and I like the look of the place, which is clean and has marble all over the place. Reminds me of the old Art Deco cafes. The only minus is their Wi-Fi which has been problematic for the past two months. There is a BMO guest hotspot you can log on in place of their WiFi but I think they need to contact their Internet provider and give them what-for.

I have been to Coffee Culture Cafe in several places in the region for instance recently in Woodstock, and I must say the Coffee Culture Cafe on top of Street in St Thomas Ontario it's not just a coffee shop this is really a community hub. When we entered we could feel a welcoming Fibe and a very warm ambiance that welcomed us without reservation. When we approached the counter we could feel the welcome and the warm Hospitality through the queries and the and the staffs warm attitude. Nationally is the quality of the coffee is excellent but the quality up the food that is freshly prepared there is excellent. Indeed, we went for a few pieces of pastry after that which were equally great. Since we have to do some preparations and we needed WiFi so that we could deal with all the documentarian and other digital preparations that we needed through the cloud, he managed to get connected to a very reliable and very fast Wi-Fi. All in all, I strongly recommend this Cafe for any get together for business or pleasure.

I usually visit this place to either write my book, read a book, to paint, with someone special, or just to ponder sometimes. But it hasn't even happened a single time that I've been let down by this place. The experience is always invigorating. Whether you sip a cup of pumpkin spice or salted caramel latte, or bite the cheese cake or spinach pastry, or full your tummy with the scrumptious sandwich, it's wonderful.

A nice spot to do some work for a couple hours on a Sunday afternoon. There were a few free spots available. It wasn't too loud which was good. My booth didn't have a power outlet which was a minor inconvenience. I ordered a mint tea which was good. I ordered a turkey sandwich which was toasted nicely and tasted really good. Finished with a slice of chocolate prestige cake which was delicious. The baristas were nice, and brought my sandwich to me when it was ready, which was greatly appreciated. It was a nice experience and I would come again.

I have only been there a couple of times but the drinks are good, the place is very cozy, has tv screens and booths that each have outlets. Very accessible for people who will be bringing their laptop/tablet. Free WiFi as well. It is a great place to go grab a coffee and study. However, it does seem to always be packed with that kind of clientele - people who buy one thing and sit in there for hours on their laptop. It's not a huge deal, just bothersome if there is no where to sit/study because other people who had their coffee hours ago are taking up the space. The price is average for a classier coffee shop. Similar to I would say the likes of second cup for some items.

The first thing I noticed when I walked in was the warm smell of chocolate permeating the building. I was here early on a Monday morning, and the cafe was a little slow. I had a chocolate chip muffin and a cup of simple black fair trade coffee. The coffee is nicely balanced and the muffin is very good. Seems to be a good place to come and escape the cold - the lights cast a warm glow, and the style and design make for a very nice setting. Light jazz plays overhead, adding to the warm-toned atmosphere. Conveniently near Ellesmere x Markham, making it a great alternative to Tim's etc. for a quick cup of coffee.

Terrible service!! One employee was cursing n very upset while having a smoke outside while the other employee was inside crying, hand wrapped up because of spilling coffee on it... with a long line up trying to take care of everyone. Other customers were saying they tossed sugar at them when they asked for some and also just threw there food on the table when they brot it out. Go find another coffee shop in town... theres DEFINITLY better!!!!

Wow. I've never been compelled to write a review before but the lady is rude. We were there in the morning and she had already been rude once to a customer. No matter how wrong the customer is we never speak to our customers like that. We didn't make much of that. We returned later waiting for a table to free up. As we were switching tables she came to us asking us to buy something or leave. We saw other reviews with similar experiences and it's unbelievable that basic human ethics are thrown out over $2 coffee. Starbucks has always given the utmost respect at any location and I am surprised that the corporate head office would allow to continue this behaviour after so many complaints.

Horrible place. A little insight from a former employee...which basically confirms the other reviews previously posted. The coffee is always burnt because it sits for aprx 1.5-2 hours before they make a new one. That's fresh coffee!?!? The pasties are stale because they don't make new ones daily. Sometimes they sit on the shelf for 2 or 3 days...all in the name of saving a buck or two. They also have been known to drop food on the floor, and still insist to their employees that it is okay to sell/eat. They add water(tap water at that) to the soup to top it up, instead of making a new bowl...so really you're eating/drinking more water then anything...it's barely even a proper soup broth. The dishes are not properly washed, just rinsed and dried. Icecream has been sitting in those bins FOREVER...dont eat the ice cream! If a health inspector checked out the place, God knows how many violations they'd find. The bosses are assholes, especially the little one, who's angry and bitter about life...you'll have to ask him why. Dont bother trying to communicate with him though, he will just talk over you. They both cluck back and forth all day in Hindi, or whatever their language is, and barely communicate with their emloyees except when it is to tell them they did something wrong. They have a HUGE, HUGE turnover rate...chances are the person that served you last week, won't be there next time you go...hmmm, I wonder why!?!? Anybody thinking about working there better like eating $hi+. No respect for their employees, or their customers...they actually tell employees to NOT talk to certain customers, cause they know they will only buy one coffee or one pastrie...ie: some of the homeless/lower income people that hang out there. Also, if they dont feel you are working out, they will make up some bs about you and have you canned days before your 3 month probation period expires. That is my two cents...too bad. It is a really nice place(inside), but they don't have a clue how to operate a business, and have no respect for other people...it's all about saving a buck with these two clowns. BTW, complaints have been made to head office, but they dont seem to wanna deal with these two. Patronize at your own risk!!! GJ

My classmates and I have been going there at least once a week as it is close to our school. Today my friend ordered a chocolate cake and instead of asking which kind of chocolate cake (there was regular chocolate and WHITE chocolate and she specifically asked for chocolate) they gave her one and when she opened it up it was the wrong kind and when she told the manager that it was the wrong kind he told her there was two kinds of chocolate and there was nothing he could do. The OWNER told her there was nothing he could do. The cake there is expensive enough and he didn't offer to replace it, or give any money back. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE, obviously he doesn't care about keeping customers.

The service has gone down. Terrible service. I asked for a small salted caramel small hot chocolate, exactly like the picture. Server had to be asked to put whipped cream. She put a minimal amount. I had to ask for more. She served it. I clarified "no, please, like the picture". She put the cookie crumbles. Then she served it again. I had to ask for the caramel. Did get it. Didn't get the salted tops either. Server charged me full price. It was terrible. All I wanted was a holiday season hot drink to enjoy in the cold. I was planning on sitting and doing work. I asked if table top could be cleaned. Server and manager told me to sit at a single seat since they are expecting customers for the lunch hour. I didn't mind, but I wasn't going to stay. They both raised their voice. I don't know why they think this level of service is acceptable. I don't know if it is because I'm a student. If so, they are clearly discriminating against socioeconomic classes. I ran out. Grabbed my stuff. Was going to call them and explain proper service, but decided to post this instead. If you want a holiday season experience at a cafe don't go here. There are plenty of coffee shops near by other than coffee culture.

I love this place! the blt and the veggie sandwiches are delicious but I have to bring to your attention that I found the minestrone and chicken soup too watery and bland after 4pm and I'm not happy with the fruit bowl with a pinch of granola. Hope you guys can fix that...there's another group of people who work evening shifts or after work stop by and expect the same food quality that you provide to your 12 to 2pm customers.

When I went this morning for my breakfast run, I bought a medium black coffee with my wrap. The coffee smelled strongly of plastic. No big deal, probably a defective lid. I nicely request another one and apologize for the inconvenience. The male server was super nice and got me another cup without issue. But the same problem occurred with the smell and a quick google search clarified it was the brewers problem. No big deal. I go back again to tell them about their issue, and how there are carcinogenic hormone disrupters in their coffee since there is clearly bpa leaching into it, giving it a strong chemical smell. The lady denies as strongly as the chemical scent and tells me I was making an excuse for a refund. Does not claim ownership over the plastic and clearly unsafe drink. I know she smelled it too when I showed her her product (it was too unsafe to consume) and she poured it out immediately and strongly denied of bpa in my coffee. She told me I was smelling things when I raised that there was plastic in my drink. If I really was making this up, then why did she pour my drink out and destroy the proof? She never gave me an answer as to why my drink had such an offensive smell. I knew they couldn't control the quality of the brewer, but the lady sure could've controlled her manipulative and negligent attitude.

I came here with my friend who was new to the country because I've always liked the vibe at coffee culture and wanted to show her this place. My friend brought with her a cake which she purchased from somewhere else, but we came in to have a coffee and lunch at coffee culture. My friend did not know the rules that outdoor food was not allowed and we honestly did not notice the signage on the door. The person working there was kind and told us we are not able to eat outside food in their cafe, I was surprised since we bought coffee and was planning to buy lunch there as well-At least they had customers because the restaurant was empty. I then proceeded to explain to my friend and the woman working there came out and started to raise her voice, even accusing us of being irresponsible bringing in outside food and increasing their risk of covid? This was dramatic and not needed. I was trying to talk to my friend but the woman continued to speak with us and her even though I tried to explain to her that my friend did not speak english and that we understood the rules she continued to make a scene. I respect that outside food is not allowed and did not know my friend would open her cake in the store to eat. The way they spoke to us was not needed and I won't be back at this location. Also they did not even check our vaccine passport and ID.

The lady is very very rude and gets in fight with the customers and this is the second time this lady has fought been rudesto us. So this is me and two of my friend's usual Thursday place. All together we usually buy roughly 40$ worth food weekly. I go in holding my Tims coffee inside the store to order. when my friend is ordering the first thing the lady told me that I was not allowed to bring the coffee inside. I said ok we are going outside anyway. The she reminds me again while processing my friend's order. I told her i will go out and drink my coffee and come back. She told me the same thing for the third time and also told me that I will not be able to drink my coffee even in their patio outside (which was not even there) third time and this time my friends got involved and they also told the lady that I will drink it outside. I was just holding my coffee. Because she was so rude i did not order any buster juice that i usually do. Then when my friends were done ordering we go to sit down.I just put my bag in the sofa and just about to go outside and she comes back again screaming at me that I need to get out of there with that Tims cup. Things just got heated and I threw my coffee in the garbage. She then got into fight with another customer who just left the store. If she is not the owner she needs to stop acting like she owns the place and should stop screaming at customers. WE WILL NOT GO TO THIS PLACE AGAIN. SHOULD POST A BIG SIGN SAYING THAT WE CAN'T HOLD ANY OTHER PRODUCT FROM ANY STORE WHILE ENTERING THEIR STORE.

No place to sit, a lot of wifi squatters (I have noticed yes there is only one working plug outlet but that's not enough to solve the issue), the quality is mediocre compared to other coffee culture's in the GTA. The manager is always smiling and he always helps his staff and that made me bump the review 4/5. To avoid squatters perhaps have those signs that say: management can you ask to leave after 3 hrs if new customer is desperate for a seat.

Way too loud. There is no semblance of a cozy, comfortable atmosphere as a cafe should be at this location as everyone is yelling and the servers have to yell at the top of their lungs for people to hear. You can't hear yourself think at this location, let alone have a comfortable conversation with someone next to you. Never returning. Also, their debit machines stopped worked while I was there, very unprofessional and unsettling.

I've been here a few times. I usually stick to local Stratford joints but sometimes I like to change it up. Their chai latte is more expensive than Starbucks -- a small cost me $6. The service was okay - the cashier wasn't very welcoming (no smile, just said 'what do you want' when it was my turn in line) I would have given it 3 stars on a good day. But what prompted me to write this was my experience today. I was there less than 2 hours, and I chose to sit at a booth because 1. there's an outlet 2. it's a bit quieter (+ I value personal space) 3. more space for my laptop, books, and notebook. I bought a full lunch, and after I'd been there a total of about 1.5 hours (who I assume was) the owner or manager came up to me and scolded me for taking a booth, asking if I was leaving soon, how much longer would I be taking up the booth. The cafe was NOT busy at the time. I counted three large booths, three 4-tops, and at least four deuces that were vacant. He told me I should sit at the front at the community table which they put there for people 'like me'. The table he mentioned was pretty full and I didn't sit there because I needed the space to fit my lunch, my laptop, book, and notebook, and I needed a bit of breathing room to work on a sensitive project. The 4-tops and deuces I didn't sit at because they had no visible outlets nearby. It's not like I came, bought a $2 drink, and sat there for 6 hours while the place was busy, hogging the table. I have worked in the hospitality business for years and I would never have approached someone like that. He basically told me that I should move tables or leave. I will not be returning here. I'm happy to pay $6 for a chai latte if the service and atmosphere is worth it. Here? No thanks. It may seem petty but it's the little things that make you lose people's business.

The woman is always on me for not buying something the minute I arrive. If you walk in to take a seat, the hawk eye will be on you and within a few minutes and the manager will ask you to buy something or leave. Terrible business ethics. Most of the time it is a nice spot to grab a quick coffee and snack right in the heart of downtown. But it is usually crazy busy during meal times when there is a show at the Avon Theatre, so expect a line-up and slow service (due to the cashiers also making the meals, fancy beverages, etc) at those times. There are a lot of actual restaurants downtown, and they all have better meals than Coffee Culture. Coffee Culture is very attractive inside, and it is usually quiet (except pre-show times at the Avon Theatre as previously mentioned), so it can be a nice place to meet with friends or have a small business meeting.

Great service. Friendly staff. My go to place for writing. However, the music keeps repeating... Can get annoying. What about some silence for a while? It would definitely make it better to have a phone call and not hear blazing pop music in the background.

Got food poisoning from their cheesecake today!! :( My friend and I went to Coffee Culture today and ordered their NY cheesecake with strawberry sauce on top. There wasn’t really a bad taste to it, but it did taste old… An hour after we left, I got an extremely upset stomach and nausea and had to immediately rush to the bathroom. My friend also started feeling sick an hour after and had the same symptoms as me too…. We didn’t have anything to eat that day so we’re most likely sure it was the cheesecake we both shared. I usually love going to coffee culture, so I’m just thinking the staff didn’t check the temperature right when defrosting the cake? Or maybe somethings wrong with their fridge? Either way, we had a terrible experience today… :(

I went in today and waited at the counter, completely ignored by the younger male & female server for over five minutes. When I finally got tired of being ignored and politely asked them for WiFi access she said I had to purchase a drink. I was completely stuffed from lunch so I pointed to my friend saying she had just bought a drink. She boldly told me NO. Seriously??????? Am I on candid camera? No such luck. WOW!!!!!!!! Is all I can say about coffee culture staff working today on ellesmere. I used to get hot drinks from them but they lost my business and my friends. I would never treat a customer like that, looks like somebody needs to get some serious hardcore customer service training at McDonald's.

The woman there was very pushy regarding me buying something, I placed an order and waited for a minute or two to pay but since no one was setting up the POS I decided to set up my laptop as I had a tutor session in 10 min, and she came over with an attitude asking me to pay saying it's been forever. My order was wrong, I had the smallest tuna sandwich I've ever had made at a coffee culture, and the Punjabi womans customer service was terrible when I was telling her my order was wrong she argued with me and laughed in my face. Never coming here again

They have a good selection of dessert items including cake, cheesecake, cookies, muffins, danish, fritters, etc. Coffee is good. Service is excellent. They will offer to warm up your pastry for you, which is always nice.

I walked in with my coffee in my hand since I wanted to order one of their sandwiches. At first everything seemed fine as the owner took my order, I then waited for my sandwich next thing I knew the owner wanted me out of her coffee culture since I was sipping on a Starbucks coffee which she could have simply told me before I ordered my sandwich. I guess she wanted my money before kicking me out. I'm guessing with her bad attitude that her coffee culture won't last much longer.

This is a roomier location than most downtown Coffee Culture cafes, but typical for those outside city centre. It has booths, tables and easier chairs (which are lined up against one wall). The location has a large covered patio in the summer between two shopping area streets. This location has lots of big windows making it airier (and therefore a little less cozy) than some other Coffee Culture cafes -- great for those seeking some winter sunshine. I was there in the middle of the day through the week and the cafe was full with limited available seating, but service was responsive and friendly.

Great ambiance but don’t order on UberEats. Each product listing has the option to remove certain items but they don’t actually follow the instructions. Requested no sauce or tomatoes based on an intolerance and they didn’t read the instructions. ???????? Also, very poorly packaged!

Super disrespectful staff, it was like they were in the twilight zone or on drugs I was shocked. If you want to get disrespected come here, staff handle food items with out gloves, I did not feel safe drinking my coffee so I just threw it out. I wont be coming back here

Nice place!Nothing outstanding just the usual coffee shop with general items on the menu. Mocha was good. "Power up everything bagel" was very heavy for me. It comprises of the avocado, eggs cheese and bacon. Overall good.

We we're just stopping by to take a rest from our long drive and use the bathroom, but it's a very nice place, very nice hot chocolate! The staff were great and the environment felt nice. It was 1° outside, so it was nice to step into a warm coffee shop and get warm and sit for a few minutes.

Reliable coffee shop. Visiting from out of town and stumbled across this little coffee shop. Prices are what I would expect from a coffee shop. Food and coffee were okay but not spectacular. The food and drinks were not absurdly amazing but it was still good. I would not go out of my way to go back but it is not a bad place to go.

THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER RECEIVED. Do not go here. I've worked in the customer service industry for 11 years & never have I been so mad about an encounter. I usually come to this place 3x/week because I work close. NEVER AGAIN. Yes, the food is overpriced for what you get, but it is close. HOWEVER, today I went in & put my bags down & an old, empty, McDonald's coffee on the table while I went to the front to order something to go after my work day. A gentleman who had just finished INTERVIEWING someone came up to me & told me to take my drink outside, drink it & come back. I told him there was barely anything in it & as I was about to tell him that the thing I was ordering was to go, he interrupted me to tell me to take it outside & then I could come back. I was SO ENRAGED with his RUDENESS that I told them I wouldn't be ordering anything & would never be back again. This guy, who is clearly high up on their staff to be interviewing someone needs a lesson in etiquette. You would think a small shop like that would listen when talking to their customers. ALSO, their coffee is sub par & their salads are a joke if you're interested in their food. Their baked goods were the only thing half decent although ridiculously overpriced. So much for supporting the little guy. The little guy's a total jerk.
