It's our go to place for every Birthday and Special Event Cake. The Fruit Flan cake is our favorite, not to heavy and not to sweet. Just the perfect ending to a great party. Ed and Vitta make us feel like family when we come to visit.

They have the best cakes in Kitchener!!!!

The specialty items such as the Hazelnut triangles, almond bars, nougat rings, rumballs and marzipan crescents have been made by this bakery for decades. I ate them as a kid here in Kitchener. Unmatched! And those aren't even the tortes!

This is a very cute little shop. There owners are a lovely couple (and their son, I guess) and very nice. The space is unfortunately very limited, only 4 or 5 tables. And it is not the best decorated coffee shop. But that's not very important, because the have the best cakes I have had in a long time. I will definitely come back for the cakes! I didn't ask the price of an entire cake, but individual slices were low-priced. A coffee and a cake for just $6! NOTE: THIS IS A CASH ONLY PLACE! No wifi! Just go there and enjoy the cakes!

This is one of the best places ive ever been to. Their food is delish, the customer service is the best ive ever had, and the kindness that they all have here is unmached. They are very generious, and very greatful and it shows. We need more places like this. Also their rockies and rumballs are amazing!

If you're looking for quality baking done oldschool, you've found your place. This place is super understated. It's not much to look at, bit they more than make up for it in their products. I hope they have some succession planning in place to pass on their skills. Try the butter icing mocha cake. It's to die for. Absolutely heavenly.

Someone treated us to a variety of the "cookies" from this bakery. Florentines, almond crescent cookies, and hazelnut cream wreaths coated in dark chocolate. They are oustanding. We will be visiting this bakery ourselves. Do yourself a favour and don't overlook this small but excellent bakery.

Had an appointment in the area I had to wait for. Did a quick Google search to find coffee near me which led to finding this little gem. No fancy decor, no trendy seating lounge but boy oh boy are their muffins to die for!! Fresh baked in house. I had the Rhubard muffin. DELICIOUS!! And the 2 polite gentlemen taking care of the place (I believe the owners) were humble, friendly and appreciative for the support of their small local independent cafe. Pop in for a visit and don't leave without a fresh baked good!

Great European cakes. A bit hard to find in that plaza. It's probably best to order ahead. It is about $40 for a 12" cake.

Dorothea Daniels

I ordered cake for my daughters 17th bday, the best cake ever. Everyone cleaned their plates. Best cake ever. Love them...keep up the hard work!

Be aware that they dont offer internet in the cafe as this is an old style of cafe. The atmosphere is not suitable for long stays and students who want to get work done. I could say if you need some "normal" coffee and want to support a local cafe, you could pay a visit. But don't expect too much.

Definitely be sure to stop here and treat yourself! The Royal Champagne Cake caught my attention and got it made for my mom's birthday. Her and the whole family of kids and adults loved it! Their baking is amazing and the staff are simply wonderful and friendly.

The cakes at this café sincerely surpass any dessert I've had at any 5-star establishment. Light, fluffy and not too sweet. Incredible!

We love the European cakes and pastries baked at the Alpine Cafe. We love to stop for a coffee and a slice of torte. We have ordered cakes often for special occasions. We have been customers for so long, our children and grandchildren come here too. It is worth the 1 hour drive for delightfully delicious tortes and pastries.

Andrea Stavrakos

Great service and even better European desserts.

Lori Gruen

Beautiful cakes and amazing owners. I highly recommend

This hidden gem is dangerously close to where I work. The cakes taste divine and it's owned by a lovely family.
