The breakfast menu is worth the twenty minute wait.

I use to love this place, their food was exceptional. One of my favorite thing with their crispy potatoes....everytime I go now the potatoes suck, they aren't crispy or good. They are sad potatoes and I never eat them anymore. Makes me not want to go back unfortunately. :(

Yisoo Kim

We went as a family. Good wholesome food. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Good portion sizes. It took awhile to get our meals, so don’t go here if you need a quick meal. Overall, great service with frequent attention to water and coffee refills.

Rylee Fortier-Turner

this is easily my favourite place to go for breakfast in Kingston. I have been multiple times now and anytime that someone asked to go for brunch or breakfast with me whether it’s family or friends in the area I have always asked to go here. The staff are always so so so friendly and it’s local. They have a bakery right next-door that all of their pastries and baked goods are taken directly from, so if you’re craving the croissants after eating one in the café you can go buy a bunch of them next-door. Ridiculously tasty and super cute. Not too expensive which I can appreciate. Really good coffee and always nice to support local small places in Kingston. Will continue to go here over and over and over again. have officially made a tradition that every time my mom comes up to visit me in Kingston we always go here.

C Franz

This is the best breakfast place in Kingston. They have all the breakfast classics including the best Eggs Benedict I've ever had. Along side perfect classic meals, they feature a fun seasonal change to the static menu, including an awesome Grilled Cheese Wilton. With fun daily food specials and tasty daily fresh juices, this place should be on everyone's to do list.

Laura Voskamp

Wonderful place to eat! Everything is so delicious and everything is always clean and the staff is very friendly. T&J is a place I will always come back to!

Cassandra Morrison

My absolutely favorite brunch spot in Kingston! They have the best food and incredible service! Jordan is the best there is! Kudos for having a wonderful establishment I look forward to visiting every time I’m in Kingston.

Travis Fraser

Delicious place! It is a bit out of the downtown and you need to put yourself on the waitlist hours ahead but the food is truly delicious and it is a hip vibe there.

Megan Lawrence

Great value! Just need to get in the waitlist, so plan ahead ☺️

Kleek McGeek

Cozy atmosphere with a fun flight of mimosas; great for sharing

Land layalayuland

i would highly not recommend working here the staff is fake and when i started i was promised really good things and it all got taken away. the manager got me (new person) to train 2 other new people and then let me go with no reason even after ive heard how "good im doing" for the last 2 months. i will no longer be a customer.

This is a pretty good place to eat. The food is good but portion sizes are a bit small and the prices are a bit high. There is lots of seating and an attached bakery if that's your thing. The wait to get a table isn't too bad because of the large amount of seating. Overall, this is a pretty decent restaurant.

Olivia

Nice atmosphere. I got the daily quiche special, which was very good. Get the potatoes as your side. They were fantastic! I also got the champagne flight, which had nice variety. It was a busy place for a Wednesday morning, but the service was fairly fast and they were very courteous.

David G

Fantastic breakfast and great service to start a happy day today

Megan McCutcheon

Great place. They’ve changed their menu a few times which is a bit disappointing- the original breakfast bowl was my favourite and the most recent menu option is not nearly as good.

Jason Ashley

Great food, Great service, Great atmosphere! The jams are amazing. The sausage and bacon are wonderful. Highly recommend

Sean

Simple delicious and exotically scrumptious.

C Runpixierun

Been here a lot over the last two years, probably best traditional breakfast in town. The inside is so cozy and welcoming, they could easily add 20 more seats but, keep it intimate. Beautiful staff, wonderful baked goods and very, very family friendly.

Kristian

This is a great breakfast and lunch spot. Fresh baked breads for sale as well. Lots of seating available and great service.

TomyAllen

Tasty food, good ambience and the staff were so accommodating

shayna maracle

I had never had a breakfast like today’s. The degree of attention to service, this flavour of the food, the atmosphere, all perfect. I asked the waitress and she explained that the meridians one locally sourced. Doug goes to explain why everything is so fresh and flavourful. Hats off to the owners, managers and team members!

Alexandre Martel

Quality food. Some is home-made. They charge a little more but give you more than you can eat. They cook up real potatoes instead of "hash browns". They gave us large mugs for coffee and offered two refills but we couldn't drink that much! It's okay tasting coffee. Not bad, but not the medium-roasted full-flavour Columbian taste that I'm used to - half-star deduction :-). Busy place. We got there at opening on a Sunday morning. By the time we were finished, it was 75% full. The place has a nice vibe and decor. The people seem happy to work there. A couple of waitresses were chatty with us and seemed genuine about it (not the obligatory "we hope you enjoyed your meal. Please come back") Next time we visit Kingston, we'll be inclined to go back and try other things on their menu.

Nicole Phillips

Great place for breakfast but go early. It gets very busy and sometimes very loud but the food is very good and the service has always been fantastic.

Christine Lynn Magic

First time here have been waiting for years and I was the one missing out. Such a comfortable atmosphere and amazing food. Service was some if the best to date.

Brandy MacPhail

My wife and I had brunches there couple of times, we like going back there from time to time for a random eat-out. The bakery on-site has some interesting items including pastry, cheeses. The space of the restaurant is spacious and we like the decor. Always busy but the wait time is not too bad. Food is tasty and good variety of it. The place have their own items they produce like jams and ketchup. The staff is very nice, friendly, and working quickly. Definitely worthwhile!

Emma Sadlowski

Great spot. Be prepared to wait at least 30 mins on the weekend though. Once seated the vibe is like 1 big living room and has communal tables for those willing to share the experience. Quality and portions are on point ????.

Tamara Bennett

What a clean and beautifully decorated restaurant. Food are excellent and service is top notch. Will return for sure!

Cristina Lagu

I have seen and heard of these places but have never been in until today. Went in to cool down after walking around the city of Barrie for a few hours. The place had the lights off which I appreciated because it kept the air cooler inside. I was greeted in a friendly manner by the staff person who served me.

Johnny Gustav

Great atmosphere. Very good food. Quick and pleasant service. The restaurant is busy for brunch so expect a wait during peak brunch hours. We took my grandparents here - they had the pancakes and said they were the best they'd ever had. I had the quiche which was delicious with a rich, buttery crust. My partner had the croissant sandwich and he also said it may have been the best sandwich he has ever had - not just breakfast sandwich, all sandwiches! We want to come back and try everything on their menu.

Raines Heath

Excellent fresh foods. Excellent service. Not a long wait for a table even though it was busy. Amazing bakery as well. Definately will go back .

Steph Bolton (moweemouse)

Clean place, I was surprised with the portion so overall it was delightfully good. Nice staff. Price was ok.

Erika Doucette

Great food, lively atmosphere. Always delicious! Must try the Mimosa flight! Quite busy most weekends, be prepared to wait anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour, maybe more. Must check out the Bakery adjacent to the restaurant.

Patrick Lorenz

This was one of the best breakfasts I have ever had! So delicious and fresh. The coffee was great and the staff were so friendly. The service was wonderful, our coffee mugs were always topped up! They have a nice selection of breakfast options which made it hard to decide. They have a variety of breads and jams to choose from. I would recommend this spot for anyone in Kingston and hope I can return one day.

Frank Cross

After standing outside in the cold, in line. We were told that we hadn't been put on the wait list yet. No one came outside to take names or let anyone know the wait time. We had already waited 45 minutes, so we left. Please consider having someone go outside to take names, in order, and give a wait time.

Jennifer Ng Gemmell

Great food! AMAZING COFFEE ???? Staff is very welcoming and friendly ???? They do a great job at sanitizing and making their customers feel comfortable during COVID.

Jacob Ferrera

A place to go as a treat. Quite expensive for what you get.

Algis Akstinas

This is a favourite spot for delicious brunch in Kingston. The bakery attached to it provides all of the bread and pastries - super fresh and delicious. Everything I've tried has been great. And the server I usually have, Brandon, is very knowledgable and passionate, as well as attentive. Odd location but highly recommend. Note that portion sizes are very big, so you get a good bang for your buck here. Totally underrated!

Kristen English

One hour wait to get in then one hour to get our food. Food was really good but our waitress drop the ball as far as the service.

Andrew Au

Good was really good. Nice atmosphere. A bit pricey but I will go again.

Holly Kerr

Great, popular breakfast/ lunch spot . Good homemade style food and baking. Nice little bakery attached to it. Nice spot for a family breakfast when in town visiting your favourite student

Rachelle Conboy

Has been a while because if Covid19. Was happy to finally enjoy your scrumptious food again. Thank you

Sara White

EXCELLENT service. All staff are willing to help. They are totally willing to customize your meal. The food is fresh and tastes delicious. Nice clean cottagey atmosphere and big windows. I would absolutely recommend this place.

I really enjoyed the homey environment created by this restaurant. The service was warm and the vibe was classy. I had some delicious pancakes and the cornbread dish. These were both delectable. Shared the mimosas with some friends... also delectable. My London fog was yummy. Service was a bit slow, but if in good company that is not a problem. Enjoy!

Ecee

OMG! First time and impressed with atmosphere, decor ,service and food. I had the traditional breakfast with roasted tomatoes & side of amazing peach jam. My daughter had the special ( picture included) With most delicious coffee. Our waitress Emily was so charming.. efficient, knowledgeable. This experience along with the delish food made our first experience delightful. Also a plate with two ginger cookies were delivered ....yummy. my daughter would like to see this special put on the regular menu...hint hint ???? Will recommend & will return soon!!

Angela

Great place, a bit pricey for what you get. Two tiny sausages? I get thaf they're homemade but seriously they were tiny. Freshly baked bread and preserves was a nice touch. Would definitely recommend.

Tristan Rhoads

Soooo gooood

Maria Westerkamp

Can't stress this enough. If you visit Kingston. Stop here. There will be a wait. But it will be worth it. Waitress was fantastic and food to die for.

Carolyn Tomkins

Five stars for sure. Very impressed and high quality. For what you get prices are amazing. I was stuffed before I even got to finish my plate. Server was friendly and we got our food in less then ten minutes which is surprising considering the place is packed. There was a line up you have to wait for tables which is a good indication it’s highly sought after.

Jasmine Hompal

My family visited Toast and Jam on Friday morning. We were moving my daughter into university and came for breakfast. Our server was Ricki (I hope I have his name right). First of all. He was amazing. Super nice. Great sense of humour. Gave us great recommendations. First rate experience. The food was also fantastic. Go visit and if you get Ricki you will understand! Great server.

Robert Hurst

This place is fantastic. Go there early so you can grab a seat, especially on weekends. The meals are very homemade tasting, and the overall setting is refreshing. I recommend checking out the eggs benedict!

Kyle

The food is fresh and the plates always full for the hardiest eater. The staff is great, always meeting you with a smile. A warm comfortable environment for the young and older crowd. A must go to place if your from kingston or in town visiting.

Azi JA

Always a winner! Fabulous spot for breakfast and lunch. Delicious sandwiches, egg dishes, quiche and soups. Lots of local ingredients, excellent coffee. Licensed. It gets busy - you may want to make a reservation!

kataryna reese

Best Restaurant in Kingston by far. Fantastic food with there always being something fun and new to try. They have a great and diverse menu with options to please almost every customer. They have the best staff and really know how to treat customers well. I took my mother there and we tried a soup that was not our favorite and the lovely lady took the soup off our bill. They are always so kind and welcoming. If you have not been you are missing out and need to go especially if you are a tourist to the Kingston Area.

Patrick Edmund

A warm restaurant with a homey country kitchen vibe. The food was simple but well done - you could tell all the baked goods (biscuit, ginger snap cookies) were truly baked fresh. Service from Bernadette was exceptional. A true gem for brunch!

Daniel Moholia

Great out of town experience, exceptional breakfast and Service

BT Armistice

I provide a 5 star rating although we decided to eat elsewhere because of the one hour wait. If you have the time to wait I overhear from those who finished their meal this places breakfast all day is worth the wait.

Camden Kilfoyle

Great food. I had the traditional breakfast. All was cooked just I had ordered it. Homemade jam ,bread and crispy bacon . Totally beautiful. Have a great day!

Cody Higgins

Sunday morning brunch, we waited 20 minutes but it was worth it. I got the eggs Benedict with spinach & mushroom. Coffee was delicious too. Def recommend ! Great service by our server Karyann!

Trevor Oddell

Service was friendly and we were seated quickly. My partner loved the chai tea latte so much she ordered two! We both had poached eggs, one with bacon the other with sausage. I kinda wish the potatoes were browned up a little more, but the jam selection was great, and so was the bread. We'll definitely be back for more :-)

Parth Patel

Consistently good food and service.

Zak Craig

Great food, atmosphere and service. Prices match the quality. Make sure to stop by the bakery on your way out.

Anya Rozman

Wow, delicious food, great atmosphere, friendly staff. Wonderful

Bryan Law

On our first visit for lunch, food was tasty and of excellent quality. Wide variety of interesting choices. Service was friendly and attentive.

A. A. Yazdani

I always have a good time here! Friendly staff, good quality, and fast food. You get what you pay for in service and food amount/taste. I will always recommend people to come here (beside the small wait time sometimes is worth it). By far the best breakfast I've had by far ????????

Bellamy Lee

I would love to rate higher, but every time I've gone here, whomever is picking the playlist picks the most obnoxious, rangy rap music; this is not the tone one sets for brunch. Plus the nature of the space makes it difficult to chat when the music is too loud/animated. Other than that, the food is excellent with baked goods coming right from the attached bakery. Local ingredients are sourced when possible, and the waitstaff are very friendly.

Jess Hann

Went on a Wednesday early afternoon, the decor is beautiful and the food was okay, but we waited over an hour to get our food. Saw groups bigger than ours come and eat and leave before we even got our food. When we did get it, the quiche was cold. The waiter was very accommodating for the kitchens failures however, offering us muffins and scones while we waited. They ended up taking the quiche off the bill and giving us a 25% discount but I still don't think we would return.

Frederic Leone

I loved this place both times I went. Quin and Jordan were awesome. Jordan got swamped by an apparent invasion of 60 Canadian Armed forces and I would never had known a difference. The service was THAT good! And Quin was so helpful with the vegetarian dishes!

Mark Schindel

Never a disappointment!!! The food was amazing, and the staff are always friendly! This is my favourite place to visit while in Kingston!

Lindsay Sweet

Service

Lynn Jean

Amazing breakfast ! Solitaire (I hope I’m spelling that right) was amazing and completely made the morning. The eggs Benedict is a must try!

Mary

One of the trendiest brunch/lunch spots in Kingston. Strongly recommend!

Christine Haapala

Nice open environment that felt extremely welcoming! Food was absolutely excellent!

LANMAC

Cute breakfast cafe with a great selection of food and friendly staff!

Callie

Can't say enough. Have eaten here many times sometimes at leisure sometimes in a hurry they have always be accommodating ! Great food always fast. Awesome service. Even a beer if you would like. Fresh baked goods made on premise and used to create delicious entrees..always busy so get there early and take some goodies home from the attached bakery they make great gifts

Tyler Wells

Wow this place has the best breakfasts plus you can go to the other side to pick up some wonderful baked goods.

Lee Beech

Like wow ... Fresh juice was a medley of pineapple cantaloupe ginger and lime and this changed daily. The eggs Benny french toast and pancakes were better than mother ever made and the mimosa flights were a treat and a half. Highly recommended.

Brittany Lazar

Good brunch food Courteous staff Covid standards with limited patrons.

SERGIO LEITE

Great food with friendly and professional staff. I highly recommend Toast and Jam.

susan napier

Unique breakfast creations. Good coffee. Homemade jams. Can you say "YUMMY!!"

Twiggy N-R

It is one of my favorite places to eat in Kingston! I absolutely love the eggs Benny and Jordan's breakfast. The food is always fresh and super delicious. They have super sweet staff and everyone is very attentive and caring. Since toast and jam is such a loved place in Kingston they usually always have waiting time. But don't worry about it as while you wait you can munch on some delectable baked goods next door at their bakery 'bread and butter'. It's a perfect excuse!

Betty F

This place is delicious! The food was well done, the service was fast, and the staff are delightful! Thanks Jordan (and team!)

Grant Currie

Stopped here for breakfast before leaving town. Amazing atmosphere, great service and excellent food. I like it and recommend you try it too!

Cameron McLean

The food was mediocre, not even as good as I could have made at home. We will def. not return. Bakery's food was really good. The decor was nice. On a side - I ordered my two young sons a typical breakfast with bacon, eggs, toast and home fries. When the breakfast arrived they both refused to eat the bacon. They are bacon monsters! I tried a piece and was a bit surprised to find that the bacon had an off taste. My husband and I weren't sure if it was excessively smoked, or rancid, but after paying the bill I mentioned to the waitress that the bacon had an off taste to which she rolled her eyes.

james gollner

Amazing breakfast. Everything is local

Jason Ostenson

Lovely atmosphere. This restaurant should offer gluten free options - bread, buns, muffins, english muffins, complimentary cookies. It would also be nice to be informed that suggestions the server is making will add $ to your bill.

Renee D'Souza

Amazing place, great customer service and has an amazing bakery. Well worth going for the breakfast you won’t regret it!!! Best place in Kingston, and so gooood, healthy choices as well and bread baked in stone oven.

Shehin Hirani

Excellent breakfast.

Jayla De

Google reviews dont do this place much justice. From as soon we walked in to the time we left, we were just amazed at how good the food and service was. I've been telling all my friends about this place! Job very well done!

Bruno Silva

This place is on my top 3 favourite breakfast places. It's cozy, the service is great, and the food is really high quality. Would highly recommend! I ordered the Buddha Bowl which is gluten free- doesnt say it on the menu, but for those who can't have gluten, it's filling and really tasty

Brett Walker

Best breakfast ever. Loved the homemade ketchup and jams. And the quiche of the day. So yumm!! Everything was great..the service was exceptional and free ginger cookies were awesome..

Lisa Bee

This is an awesome and amazing family run restaurant. They go all out to ensure the customer feels like they are at home. The food is amazing and local. Recommended by this Veteran.

Robert Kawall

The waitlist is pretty long, but it definitely worth it!! I'm very picky with food, but I've had one of the best brunches in a long time. The servie and ambience are good too.

Sergei Coleman

We attended a special kids night where the children were to make their own pizzas (as was advertised on the flyer). To our dismay, when we got there we mentioned what kind of pizzas we wanted and I waited for my 2 children to be called up to make their pizzas. Well all of a sudden the pizzas were brought to our table already done. My two children who were 8 just looked shocked. I guess they changed the plans as they had too many reservations (a bit greedy I would say). They failed to tell us this. Not only this but the pizzas there are mediocre at best. Ours arrived cold. There are so many other places to take your children that are so much chapter and so much better. Don't waste your time going there.

Ricky Yeung

Great menu. Nice service. Food comes out fast despite the place being busy. Relaxed and casual. Bakery next door.

Gaming House25

Never had a bad meal here.

Lynn St Laurent

Very nice staff and the food is great. It's a bit pricey but I think it's worth it. Would recommend the Kingsley Kaiser with sausage :)

Aprajita Sarcar

What an amazing spot!!! Please open one in Toronto! Would definitely visit again on my next trip to Kingston, and it may just be worth getting of the 401 High-way to grab a meal.

Elsa J (PhotogenicBliss)

Fabulous food, great service, plenty of parking, quick to seat even if waiting due to crowds, well designed menu with something for everyone, relaxing..seating not too close together...will be back...! And we haven't even touched on the attached bakery...divine!

Karen North

The food was amazing. Perfectly priced and tasted great. The staff were all fantastic human beings. They were all attentive and helped each other out when things got busy. Great atmosphere!

Dan Hutt

Beautiful property with the cosiest ambience! They don't have a lot of vegetarians options so I had to create my own breakfast entree and the obliged nicely. The food is commendable but not out of this world so it does seem a bit pricey but honestly I don't mind paying given how lovely that place is. Their coffee is very decent and the service was polite and prompt. I would recommend you try their in house jams

Maher Jebara

Charming atmosphere, and convenient if you’re in the west end. However, both food and service are not as good as pan chancho downtown, even though the food selection and prices are very similar.

Charles Kirkham

That food was excellent and the service was great. A very cozy relaxing setting inside that I really did enjoy. I found the prices to be high for a breakfast restaurant but it's understandable when all there food is made with very high quality ingredients! I recommend to anyone who doesn't mind spending a bit extra for breakfast

Bunny Gurl

The food was less than great. The pancakes were really good but the “It’s tradition” dish was very underwhelming. The ‘scrambled eggs’ were basically a thin omelette. The potatoes looked that they were just warmed up in the microwave. I think it was just that particular dish as other dishes around us looked really good. The service was pretty good.

Elyse-Marie Bowers

Simply delicious! Friendly staff. Over all great dinning experience????

Darlene Belanger

Amazing food, atmosphere and service

Jason Moore

Great brunch atmosphere with people of all ages. You could take a group of girlfriends here just as easily as you could take grandma and grandpa. The food was great + service was quick and friendly.

Marissa Smirl she-her

We had breakfast here and we enjoyed it so much that we came back for lunch the next day! Food is very fresh and flavourful. Our servers were attentive and the food arrived quickly. Portion sizes were generous! Atmosphere is fun and open, has a sort of farm house feel to it. Make sure you stop in to the connected bakery. Will definitely be stopping by again on our next trip to Kingston!

Jenneh Monkeh

The best breakfast and lunch in Kingston! At every turn I was more and more impressed!...The service, quality and presentation of food, price point, and overall atmosphere of the place is PHENOMENAL!! I can be quite critical, however I do not have a single complaint. It was my first time there today and will certainly not be my last. I love supporting local. Toast & Jam makes it easy to do so, no compromises, just AMAZING!

Phil Carroll

Good breakfast and a nice atmosphere. Can get very busy which can cause slow service. But overall a great place.

Michelle M

Really good food and service. Their London Fog is really good. The deserts are made in the bakery Bread and Butter so you know they're going to be good.

Vic Seo

Server: Andrea; outstanding service and conversation, thank you Newfie girl.

Best Brunch in town!! Service is always friendly and professional

Mark MacDonald

We went here for brunch and it was really good! The service was friendly and the food was delicious. The atmosphere was bright and welcoming. There is a bakery attached to the restaurant where you can buy many different baked goods.

Gil Strachan

Loved their traditional breakfast!! Latte was amazing too. Tried their special watermelon juice worth trying

Nicole St. Jean

Our new best place for breakfast in town

Shawn & Teena Abraham

Best breakfast place I’ve eaten in a while. I am so happy we stopped here on our way to Toronto. The fact that they make their jam and bread on site is amazing. The bakery attached to the restaurant is amazing also. The service was good and the ambiance was nice. I would recommend to anyone that pass by Kingston, even though it’s not near the highway, it is worth the detour.

Jason

Good food.

Ken Healy

Love going here with my mom, the creamy tomato soup is to die for.

Houda Feddach

great space and bakery - worth waiting a few minutes - food is generally good but soup and quiches are way too SALTY, made my stomach cramp. Oh and skip the quiche the piece is MINISCULE, not worth the price. Out of the delicious fresh juice by noon. Service is good.

Stephanie Brogan

Fantastic ethically sourced food at reasonable prices. Worth the wait.

Anita Heyd

West Kingston needed a place that does a good coffee, and this place does not disappoint. This has become the place to go for breakfast or brunch when visiting friends I Kingston. Prices are quite reasonable, and the service has always been superb. There is sometimes a line to get in, but it was always worth the wait, a good chance to check the attached bakery.

Jason Noonan

The food is amazing, coffee not so much. We only waited in line for 15 minutes so we went to the Bakery next door

Emma Howard

Toast and Jam is one of our favorite breakfast and lunch places to visit. The staff are outstanding and the food is incredible. The Kingsley breakfast sandwich is a must try! Our server Andrea was very pleasant. We will be back soon.

Iain Maciver

Enjoyable breakfast experience. We were a party of 5. Service was spot on and the food was tasty and well presented. I would return to this place.

阿吉

Delicious peach french toast with apple sage sausages!!

Kimberly Windsor

Had breakfast on a weekday, coffee was decent, the service was prompt and friendly. I had the quiche with salad and my friend had the traditional breakfast. We were both delighted with the food! And the space was beautiful! The overall Design and seating was great! Will def be back!

Allan Seigel

Very pleased with our first visit and would return for sure. Very nice and clean inside. Meal was delicious and service couldn't have been better. Job well done!

Hilary Wollis

One of my favourite brunch places! Be sure to try the apple sage sausage and check out the bakery next door ????

Renee Hodder

Love love love this place. Today was my first time going there. Definitely will go again.

Tessa C

Went once never again there was empty tables a big pile of people at the door waiting the staff was all milling around by the coffee and chatting finally when they sat us it was exceptionally slow service I ordered my eggs over easy with Applewood sausages everything was cold and it was extremely overpriced maybe it was a one-off bad experience but with the amount of breakfast places in this town and I'm not talking about chains but I mean mom and poppers you don't get a second chance to make a first impression

mark norabuena

Perfect place for breakfast or lunch. Quality, delicious food. Slightly on the pricier side but lives up to. Seem to have decent daily specials.

Stacey Gillis

Loved the atmosphere, decor and friendly staff. So much so that I told my husband several times, while we waited for our food, that I really hoped I would like the food because I really wanted it to be a great place to keep coming back to. I was in luck because the food was great! I think the prices were inline with other places in town, but if you want to justify the prices, the food seems to be homemade and, for the most part, locally sourced. That’s totally worth a little extra to me! Will definitely make it a regular spot!

Paul Gallant

Our friend took us there for breakfast and it was very yummy. Quality over quantity. Awesome bakery attached to the place. Very yummy.

John Hennessy

This is a great place for breakfast, brunch and lunch but be prepared for a wait. We went twice on consecutive days and only got in on the second day after a 30 minute wait, which could vary depending on the size of your group (we had to give up waiting on the first day). The food is amazing with many items made in-house including the hams and ketchup. We ordered the eggs Benedict and basic breakfast and both were fantastic. Highly recommended.

Jessica Beardsley

Presentation of the food is fabulous, the food tastes so fresh, I throughly enjoyed my experience here and will keep coming back! Southern Cornbread Breakfast was nice and hearty, lots of pepper flavors in the mix, so delicious. Avocado scrambled eggs had heat with the sriracha on it the taste was very light and I felt so satisfied after I had finished my meal. 100% reccomend!

Arlene Harrold

Fabulous banana walnut french toast! Two of us decided to share that and a bowl of fresh fruit and they divided the plates on the kitchen! So helpful!

Nishana Ramsawak

Worth the wait. Check out the amazing bakery while waiting for your table - the food is CRAZY good once you get there

Sushmitha Ramesh

Best eggs florentine EVER!!

Dan Simon

Dropped in for breakfast.. food was great! Had the Jordan bfast (eggs, ham, sausage n bacon).. french toast.. n soup kids meal.. definitely a step up from your normal greasy spoon meal.. kids meal had a nice touch of bread cut in shape of people.. n he gobbled down the complimentary cookies that came with the bill.. I took a star off for a few reasons.. (1) one of our coffee cups had some lipstick on it.. eek.. not a huge deal as I understand stuff happens.. BUT (2) we arrived to 3/4 full restaurant.. while waiting to b seated.. we clearly saw our table was ready.. but hostess chose to seat a couple that came well after us.. which at the time I shrugged off .. thou don't know if it was special treatment for regulars.. but still irks me regardless of the reason..

Raymond Shipley

One of my most favorite places to go.. haven’t had ANY bad experiences or food. It’s so beautiful when you walk in. The food portions are perfect and you don’t feel heavy in the stomach after eating here. They sure set the bar high in Kingston ;) Thanks again for such amazing food and service.

Best breakfast in kingston had the eggs benny amazing highly recommended by everyone I know

Joe K

At the corner of bath and Tanner. This is one of Kingston's hidden gems. Absolutely one of the best breakfast and brunch places across the land. You feel it the moment you step in. A very large well lit cozy feeling greets you. There's a fireplace to your left and the kitchen to the right and in between open communal sitting areas. This would be any brunch connoisseurs must visit. The environment Blends in sense of family but openness to anyone. You have the young the old the newly dating and the committed all enjoying the Fine Foods. Oh yes the food is of course very well made with a high level of dignity. You have your standard affair along with some home specials. Prices are fair a breakfast plate with a coffee will run you between $15-$17 Highly recommended.

samriddhi arora

The most scrumptious food, a relaxed atmosphere, extremely kind & friendly staff... What more could you want!? The best brunch location, in my humble opinion.

Rysia Andrade

Love the fact that they support other local business, Wilton Cheese, Limestone Dairy, locally sourced meats, veggies and fruits. Homemade jams and ketchup. Awesome staff. Inviting atmosphere. Great helpings.

Roy Leigh

We always include Toast & Jam in our itinerary when driving to or from Toronto. It's worth it. We have never been disappointed. The atmosphere is inviting, the service is excellent and the food is amazing.

Angus Chan

My to-go breakfast place in K-Town. Absolutely love their vegan chickpea breakfast and Baked Mac and cheese. I usually get them with baked potatoes and fresh juice. My other favourites are vegetarian quiche and pumpkin pies.(obviously available seasonally). It is a delight to be here everytime. Me and my friends love dropping by when on a road trip or casually after a long night shift. Other popular dishes on the menu are classic breakfast with bacon and soups

Sandi Teevens

Flight of mimosas to start the day on a relaxing Saturday Lunch.

Kedar Warriner

Very delicious. I actually came here before and ordered the French Toast but I had to come back because of how good the dish was. This time I ordered Southern Cornbead Breakfast and wow it was really good. When we first walked in, the line looked pretty long and they told us it would be around a ~30 minute wait. But, we actually waited around 10 minutes for a two person table. Portions are decently sized, I managed to finish my plate clean and was at a good level. For a brunch place it's well worth the quality for the price you pay. ⭐ 5/5

Carolyne Darimont

This was a terrific place to have breakfast/brunch.They have sn in-house bakery so everything is done there. The ambience was pleasant - airy and open with lots of light and a somewhat rustic and industrial feel. The staff was lovely and the coffee kept flowing. The food was great and there were lots of creative combinations and options to choose from. Highly recommended!

Bill Waller

Amazing, staff friendly and helpful, food fantastic. A must eat place.

chris Godin

This is such a cute spot, has a pretty cabin-aesthetic. The food is pretty delicious and will fill you up! The servers were fun and fantastic, and I love the mimosa flight. Even if the wait is long, they give you delicious buttered bread while you wait.

Halen Sharpe

Outstanding each item is hand crafted by people who care about food. I dont usually have jam on my toast or ketchup with my eggs. Since both the jam and ketchup were homemade ot was worthy of trying and made the eggs and the fresh rye bread stand out. Service was excellent too.

John Bettencourt

Very stylish place and reasonable prices. In other words very good food. Knowable and very pleasant people. Great.

Graeme Wilson

Fantastic breakfast spot! Worth the wait!

Melanie Howard

Awesome breakfast this morning! Made just the way we asked and very tasty! Great wait staff. We will definitely be back.

Lillian King

Well prepared good food, good menu. It's a place to eat then get out, not to linger over coffee

Mandeep Gabhi

The layout is great - tables are not pushed really close together, so you can have a conversation without feeling like you're being listened to. The servers are lovely and the menu was extensive. Everything was so delicious! I would definitely recommend.

Glenn Ethier

Great breakfast, lots of options, eggs and danishes were great and the BREAD was out of this world. Coffee was also good!

Rachel DoRego

It was amazing and well beyond expectations. Definitely going back and definitely recommending.

ButterBall. Exe

A yummylicious brunch. Avocado toast, pancakes were exemplary. Would love to be back for the eggs benny too. They occupied our big group in very short notice specially over the long weekend. Service took time but i suppose that comes with big groups. The ketchup/jam was unlike anything i have had before. A must try if you are in Kingston.

Mavrick Smith

Very good place for brunch needs! Came here on a Saturday around noon and it was quite busy, but we were seated not too long after we arrived. Food came without much wait time and was tasty! Servers were very nice and hospitable. All around a wonderful experience. Thank you Toast & Jam!

Cody O'Neil

The buttermilk pancakes were soft and fluffy, very tasty, fruits were fresh, i would recommend

Majo Ferdinandus

Can't say enough. Have eaten here many times sometimes at leisure sometimes in a hurry they have always be accommodating ! Great food always fast. Awesome service. Even a beer if you would like. Fresh baked goods made on premise and used to create delicious entrees..always busy so get there early and take some goodies home from the attached bakery they make great gifts

Faith Pickles

This is a great place to enjoy breakfast or lunch. Nice atmosphere. Creative menu that is a good price and very tasty!

Kyle W

Fantastic food, service, decor. Very reasonable prices. Beware, it's super busy on weekends. Be prepared for lines to get in. Once you dine here, you'll understand why!

Garth Cook

A friend took me for tea and a treat. I was very happy with the service and quality of food.

Todd Hollett

If your a university student reading this right now and your mom has just come to town, your probably panicking thinking how do I say hello without her ever seeing the hazardous materials disposal site that my apartment has become. Enter Toast and Jam. Your mom will deffenitally know what's going on, but this place is pretty enough to take her mind off it and the staff are good enough to interpret your nonsensical mumblings for coffee. Pro Tip: it's also half way to Costco.

Jamie Davison

Toast and Jam is a wonderful experience! I love the quality and freshness served up on every dish. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming...one of my favourite places!

Amber Potter (amber108yoga)

Love this place. The space alone makes it worth the trip. Amazing food. Lovely staff. A true Kingston gem in the west end!

CrazyNormal

I have been only once but was certainly impressed with my experience. Coffee was delicious and kept topped up. We all enjoyed our meals and even ordered pancakes to share because it was too hard to decide on what to order. Service was friendly and attentive. Will definitely return.

Anna Kim

Tasty food, limited options. No alternatives tho

Troy Desa

The food here was really good. I was here with a table of 6, and everyone was quite happy. Although, the pancakes came out cold and the eggs Benedict lacked the sauce (which is the best part) and was also cold. Service was excellent, highly attentive. Good quality ingredients. The location itself is quite clean and I like the vibe.

Laura Hutchinson

This Place is Phenomenal. From The Freshly Squeezed Juice of the Day to the Best Winter Salad and The Cutest Toast Soldiers to Go With the Delicious Tomato Soup - You Cannot Go Wrong. The Service ???????????????? Highly Recommend!

Stephen Ambury

You can not go wrong with anything on the menu, everything is exquisite! From freshly squeezed house juices and lemonade, to the perfect mimosas, to the warm chai tea. There is so much good going on my friend couldn't choose, she ordered the pancakes and the mac and cheese and ate like a Queen. They are very accommodating, adding chocolate chips and blueberries to her pancakes, serving me tomatoe slices instead of roasted potatoes, packing up a little of the housemade ketchup to take home with our to go food. (You didn't think she managed to eat TWO entrees, did ya?) The environment is also a blessing, while it is guaranteed to be brimming with customers, it still retains that rustic quality that brings me home to my nanny's kitchen table. A must try for those exploring all the restaurants Kingston has to offer. You will have no regrets, did I mentioned the ginger snaps with the bill? So much better than just getting a mint. The only possible downside is the lack of reservations, but they have a very pleasant waiting area and are very knowledgeable about how long it will take.

Scott Gilchrist

Friendly staff and the food was wonderful. I had the Pancakes, which were perfect, my wife had the Southern Cornbread Breakfast and she loved it. Both were good size portions as well. We will definitely be back.

Sean Leung

Delicious food and good service. A long wait to get in but worth it. Very convenient that their bakery is right beside the restaurant! Wonderful baked goods inside... watch out for your waistline!

Cheryl Archambault

The food was so incredibly overpriced. I ordered a piece of quiche ($13) and wanted to replace my soup with a side of toast & jam. The server charged me full price for it and didn’t deduct anything for not having my bowl of soup. The $14 hash that my boyfriend ordered didn’t even come with meat?!?! He had to pay an extra $4 for two breakfast sausages. Left feeling gouged and disappointed.

Sam

Croisssant BLT with salads so good! Delicious dressing, unlimited coffee and great owner who made Manu name for his Kids. Very kind person. We loving this place

Diane Soares

It is an amazing restaurant! I love coming here. And I always go next door to Bread and Butter for some bread (of course) and other treats ! One of my favourites in Kingston!

JW Saynor

Excellent. Visiting from Florida and hands down one of the best breakfast/lunch places I've been in long time. Very fresh and authentic.

Righteous Rebellion

Took my wife for breakfast a few weeks ago on a Sunday. It was busy but not crazy. We were seated by a lady who treated us like we weren't worthy to be in her presence. Our waitress was uninterested, she got our order wrong. I asked for toast well done and got soft under done soggy toast. No sense complaining because by the time they fix the toast the rest of the breakfast would have been cold. She NEVER came to ask if we wanted more coffee. Food was uninspired. For the price they charge I expect more. Breakfast is not hard to get right, they just aren't trying.

Rebecca Graham

I really like this place. It's a good atmosphere and is always full of people. I've had a couple of breakfast type meals that weren't exceptional and a bit overpriced in my opinion, but the last time I went I ordered mac and cheese and it was so so good.

C.J Finnie

A bit of a wait.....but worth it. What a wonderful lunch!

Marc Burke

This is one of my favourite restaurants in Kingston. The service is always quick and super friendly, even when they're swamped with business during brunch on weekends. The food is always beautifully presented, fresh, and delicious. The menu adapts fairly often so there is usually a new choice or two available, along with a special of the day. The daily juices are creative and the pastries and cakes are divine. Both rhe breakfast and lunch menus have a great variety of delicious options. To top it all off, the space is beautiful and open concept. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Dustin Poirier

Best quiche I've ever had! Great service too! Make sure you check out Bread and Butter before you leave for some goodies to take home.

Ryan Meghdies

I love their breakfast food.

Matthew Ramos

Amazing eggs benedict and lots of natural light in the restaurant. Perfect place to go on a Saturday morning.

Eileen Raymond

The four of us came in for a breakfast this morning as most do. We weren't looking for anything special however were absolutely blown away by the atmosphere, service, and community (really). And of course the food was good, most notably the soup and breads were in a league of their own! Also quick shout out to Emily! With server experience of our own we can honestly say having you around absolutely enchanced the whole experience. And of course thanks for the picture

Hannah Sutherland

Great breakfast joint , good atmosphere , nice decor , different than most breakfast places , food tasted great (at least the ones we ordered ), I would definitely visit again. Place was very clean (time of our visit ) as usual during peak time you might have to wait a bit (worth the wait) , I would not recommend for kids (place is aimed for older crowd and I don't see anything wrong with it (they do have high chair and kid friendly food ). make sure you visit the bakery with in ;).

Norman Chung

Hands down, this is one of the best brunch spots in the Kingston area. If you come on the weekend for brunch, expect a wait, but it's well worth it. The namesake toast and jam are delicious and reason alone to give this place a visit. In terms of the breakfast meals, I got to try the southern cornbread breakfast and the chorizo breakfast bowl. Both were spectacular, mouth-watering, and will have me back for more. The attached bakery is also excellent. Makes it easier to pass the time waiting when you can pop-by a bakery and get awesome baked goods. Follow @foodpharaoh on Instagram for more food!

Honest Auto Repair

Great breakfast spot, love the vibe and the service is generally great. Their menu seems a lot more limited now than it used to be but that’s probably due to Covid, so understandable. Some seriously good coffee and their bacon is always cooked just so. This last visit I tried the peaches and cream French toast and sweet baby jesus, it was a good time for the mouth.

Vartan Ghazarian

Food is always delicious & made from scratch and the bread is so fresh. Staff are friendly. Great breakfast/brunch place.

Matteo Zago

Incredible food and staff....????

Chris M

All I can say is "Wow", if I lived in Kingston I know where my favorite place for breakfast would be. Warm and inviting staff and a simply amazing menu.

Craig Kennedy

Might be my new favorite breakfast place! Portions are huge and all of the food is incredible.

Chris Sampson

This place is a must visit if you go to Kingston! The food is great, the staff are friendly and the little bakery attached to them has the tastiest stuff! Definitely not a place to skip!

sar barnoski

Nice place for lunch, if don't mind a fairly high ambient noise level when it gets busy. It does get busy, so obviously many people don't find it too noisy. They do have a couple of vegan options that are pretty good. Service has been friendly and efficient when I've gone.

Julia Sparrow

We arrived just as the noon rush was finishing. Waited at the front "Please wait to be seated" sign for 7 minutes before anyone came over to address the crowd of people cueing in the diner from the front door and the bakery. When we were greeted there was confusion as to who needed to be put on the waiting list, and who already had tables. After being seated the drinks came quick. The wait to order food however was staggering. When we were greeted by the server and they started explaining the menu and would give us time to decide but we already made our minds waiting the 15 minutes after drinks were served. The coffee is nice and smooth. No burnt taste or bitterness. One of the best places in town for coffee. The wait for the food after ordering was not long at all. Finished the coffee just before it arrived. The food was excellent, can tell they pride themselves using local ingredients and products which are not mass produced. Overall the quality of the food and menu price is well worth the visit. Service does need that pick up however as it can make the customer feel they are alienated. The ginger snaps as an offer for end meal is a nice touch. Better then a mint for sure. Will come again for sure as I am still waiting for the refill on my coffee.

A Youmans

Great food, nice atmosphere and the staff are fantastic

Joey C

Excellent service, great food, I love the atmosphere and decor! There was a line up but I think it was worth the wait. Everything tasted so homey and good - the only thing is that it may be a bit hard to come if you dont have a car (there is a bus route though). Would still recommend!

Andy Alger

Pre ordered a cake for mother in law's retirement celebration. The cake was amazing! It's two years later and I still dream about this cake (chocolate raspberry) We also visited a few.timea for lunch and food is devine.

Melanie Charbonneau

This place is my absolute favourite breakfast place in the world. The food is excellent, coffee is great, extremely friendly service. Even when it’s busy, the service is friendly and quick. The portions are huge, so come with a big appetite!

Matthew Elliott

Best wedding reception I've ever be n to. Excellent service. DELICIOUS food!! The best pulled pork and sweet potatoes I've ever had. And I've had them at BBQ in California. Staff was friendly and couldn't be more helpful. I highly recommend this place for a casual meal or large get together. They do it just right.

Alvin Cheung

Great menu selection, delicious food, great atmosphere, great staff, freshly baked goods. Need I say more?

Mary Lukezich

Great atmosphere, great service, excellent food. I am visiting Kingston for a month and this was an absolute highlight.

Sarah Northcott

Meal type

Derek Stevenson

pure indulgence and excellent lattes. Kids always leave full and happy ????

E.L. Sanchez

Amazing lunch place. Options for all.

Dezurae Tordoff

Excellent food. Excellent service

dirk darnell

Well well well, if isn’t T&J. Ok this place gets BUSY PEOPLE! (For good reason). I want to recommend something on the menu but literally everything is perfect. I recommended getting some cheese and soup from bread and butter afterwards!

Mary Ramsay-Irving

Memorable meal! And good service. Want to go back...

Basma Mahdy

I have mixed feelings about this place. Our waitress was very friendly and we were seated immediately when we went on a weekday. I ordered the It's Tradition breakfast, but my sausages were very dry and my scrambled eggs were lukewarm when they got to me. My roasted potatoes were soft; I don't know if they were meant to be like that or not, but I think I prefer mine a little crispier. The ginger molasses cookie they provided was amazing though, courtesy of the attached bakery. That being said, my friend said her food (Breakfast at Aunt Sophie's) was amazing and she likes this place better than our regular breakfast place, so I would be willing to give it another try in the future.

dwayne radbourne

Went the first time with my mom and t By far the best breakfast and service ive ever had in Kingston. Will definitely be returning.

John Veitch

Always a wonderful experience here. Great food and service!

Kayla Lee

Favourite restaurant in the city. Always worth the wait. Our favourite is the Breakfast Hash and juice of the day. And we love Solitaire!

Jake D

One of the absolute best brunch spots in Kingston. The attached bakery is incredible too. We were there for Sunday brunch without a reservation and had to wait about 35 mins, well worth the wait. I highly recommend the breakfast hash and the Benny. They have house made ketchup and jam! Great place, great value, great service.

Graham Clark

Service is super friendly. Organic and local food sources wherever possible. Cool atmosphere.

Shauna Biro

Not quite sure what the hype is about, had eggs Benedict with spinach. Food was warm, I guess the food sat at the counter because they want to send out our tables plate all at once. They cooked the eggs well. It's a pretty ok meal, not something overwhelming special that would make me wanna come in again. IMO, its pretty similar to Cora's

Roch Delaplace

The atmosphere is quaint and inviting. The staff is very friendly and the food was ABSOLUTELY delicious!! The restaurant outside may not look like much but, I was quite impressed with the inside; it's spacious and I love the decor. We definitely plan to come back as we had a great overall experience! :) A hidden gem for sure. I still get cravings for their salad dressing; so yummy!!

유주영

the food and atmosphere here is really lovely! You can tell that the owners really value fresh and local ingredients and use them in their cooking. The pancakes I had were probably some of the best I've ever eaten, made even better by the fresh berries with mint that were on top. You can ask for one of their homemade jams to eat with your breakfast, which is a nice touch. The restaurant is really busy, so if you're eating with the larger group you should definitely make a reservation. The prices are also a little high for the area, but the experience is really nice. You can stop at the bakery next door on your way out to grab a treat for later! Probably the coolest thing was that instead of giving you meant at the end of your meal they bring mini gingersnap cookies with the bill!

laurie pepper

Another Kingston gem. We've been here for a few days and each place has been better then the last. Awesome food and cool vibe inside. The bakery was an added bonus. Highly recommend this place!!

Becki Wilson

Amazing place for breakfast! Amazing selection for all types of food lovers. Be sure to check out Bread and Butter while you're waiting for a table

Tim R

This place was adorable! The wait was a little long but so worth it. The food was decently priced, and had a fun flare to it. The highlight for me was the homemade jam and ketchup. I would highly recommend for Sunday breakfast!

Chris Richard

Excellent breakfast! Great service. We will definitely be back again.

Mark Hinton

Very enjoyable as it always is. Good food and atmosphere. Lots of parking in rear if needed.

n oo

Awesome food and service just very long line ups

Kamna

Found this great brunch/breakfast place. Great service. Had the egg in a nest (bread made next door at Bread and Butter) with avocado. Side of beet salad with goat cheese. Yummy! Had to get some bacon and it came perfectly thick and crispy. I arrived solo on Sunday morning and there was already a line but I was seated on a couch by the fireplace so all good. Plan ahead if you have a large group. Definitely a favourite whenever I come back here.

Pam Peers

I was very surprised when I came in the restaurant the ambience was very warm and welcoming. The server where outstandingly nice . The food was overall good. Do I recommend this experience absolutely !

Rolly Mechler

T&J was an ultimate breakfast experience! The English muffin sandwich with avocado was exceptional ..truly melts in your mouth and awakens your tastebuds with the arugula! Everything was so fresh and the Apple smoked sausage was a wonderful blast of flavor absolutely loved it! Fresh fresh fresh and simply awesome..the decor and environment is also tasteful and welcoming! You got to eat here!

Melissa Isaac

My daughter took me here for lunch today for my birthday. I love all the choices on the menu. Prices are in line for what you buy. Also, liked the bakery on the premises . After dining there I can understand why it was so busy. Highly recommend this place.

Emily Hinton

Excellent food, including the most decadent BLT I have ever seen. The spicy tomato compote that accompanied "Breakfast at Aunt Sophie's" was a particular highlight.

Robert Fisher

If you plan on going during a weekend make a reservation. Otherwise expect a 25 to 45 min wait. However it is well worth it. Best brunch spot in Kingston, recommending to everyone who will listen.

Paul Needelman

Best breakfast we've ever had! Great service also

Anthony Williams

Dine in

Charlie Morton

Nostalgic atmosphere. Cozy with christmas tree next to fireplace and antiques/decor ~ same for music. Delicious mac n cheese. Well-distanced between tables, clean, and polite service. Servers wore masks. Tables and chairs sprayed down after each person.

Some One

Excellent service. Good flavors. Hot items hot. Coffee could have been a little hotter. All in all one of the better breakfast/lunch places in Kingston.

Ian Hearn

Excellent service from the time you walk in the door until you walk out the door. The breakfast is one of the best in Kingston.

Sam Ricard

Fabulous breakfast place. Real food made from real food, tastes real good! Very interesting, novel menu. Great service at reasonable prices. Nice clean place, great bakery adjoining.

Jana Veltheim

Certainly bright, inviting, spacious and clean, but seriously overpriced for the portions that were served. The quality was there but a single slice of toast (burnt by the way) with eggs Benedict was not enough to properly mop up the egg yolk and hollandaise sauce. Very little ham in proportion to egg and sauce, making it more of a light garnish. Likewise the traditional breakfast was also skimpy despite the quality. When one is paying $14 for eggs Bennie, ingredients should have been balanced and of proper size. Macaroni and cheese shouldn't cost $10.95 for a single small dish, even with the best cheeses. Perhaps they cater more to those seeking ambiance, quiet and predictability (place filled with seniors, mostly women). There are certainly better breakfast and lunch restaurants than this. I'm choosing to go elsewhere. By the way, $4 for an order of toast???? Really?

Nicholas Darling

There was a really long wait for our food and two out of three orders were wrong. The food was good. It would have been nice to have gluten free options. $70 for three breakfasts was too much.

Aineko Aineko

If you’re looking for a great breakfast place that is *not* a greasy spoon, this is it. A must-eat restaurant with food that so extremely well crafted that your taste buds will be amazed.

Majed F.Khalaf

Best breakfast food in the city. Great service with friendly staff. I love that they support the community and use products from other local business. It's also nice that bread and butter is connected and you can buy the food to take home as well. Highly recommend.

walter osborne

Amazing breakfast, vegan options and food that is not greasy or heavy. Would come again and again. Our server Solitaire was so kind and wonderful. Would give more stars if I could.

Su Buchanan

Food was good... Service was excellent...

Garima Mehta

Always a delightful brunch. Worth the wait and their bakery next door is even better to go!! Staff is always so friendly and attentive to details. Great vegetarian options too!

Lisa McPherson

Amazing food and great atmosphere. My husband brought me here as a surprise. And the blueberry lemonade mimosa was yummy.

Tooba Ali

Food good enough but the WAIT was long enough at all stages to make us never want to go back. Wait to be seated, understandable on a Sunday morning, 30 minutes. A large majority of people on the wait list ahead of us had left, too. But then 10-15 minutes to get an order placed... another 10-15 until coffee arrived... then 30+ for food. By this point our 7 year old had eaten half of a baguette procured from the bakery and wasn't hungry anymore. By the end of the meal our daughter was **done**, as was I. It was very loud in the open area dining room, definitely not a relaxing Sunday morning. I took our daughter back to the bakery to keep her occupied while my husband waited for the bill (we took our coats, my purse as a hint that we were finished and wanting to leave), 10 minutes later, bill hadn't even arrived!! I told the hostess that my husband was at our table waiting for the bill and that we'd be waiting for him in the car, this was ridiculous. All in all good food, nothing to rave about, but they have got to step up their service if they are going to keep people coming back. They seemed to have enough staff onhand so I'm not sure why it was so slow.

Ann Pickett

My wife and I love going in for brunch and she will often go with her mum for lunch. It is usually quite busy (and there is no wonder why), but the line moves fast. The bacon jalapeño corn bread is my favourite thing to add to The Jordan’s breakfast when it’s available. I would recommend this restaurant for you next brunch out for sure!

Amelia Kerrigan

Very cool restaurant! Beautiful on the inside, delicious food, and very friendly service. Highly recommend their scrambowl with avocado!

Lorri Naumann

Visited for the first time recently and had a good experience. I ordered the Jordan's Breakfast and it was very good. Standouts were the biscuit and sausage. Home fries would be better than roasted potatoes I think, but they were ok. I did try the Peaches and Cream French Toast and it was very tasty and is lighter than it looks. Gave only four stars as the menu is slightly overpriced I think. But would visit again in the future for sure. ????

Tyler Gibbons

Amazing breakfast at Toast & Jam while visiting Kingston. Will definitely come back.

Brianna Fortunato

This place is amazing. A bakery and a restaurant all in one. It's soooooooo good. Recommend it 1000%

Nathan Holwell

Delicious food, great service. Very long wait times for a table. That being said, worth the wait.

Leia Tomson

Service was good, Juice was good. Stay on top of service and food quality/quantity and people will return 5/10

carole palmer

This is an awesome brunch stop. We started with some fresh squeazed juices and a mimosa flight. The food was amazing and menu is a unique take on all your brunch favorites. SOUTHERN CORNBREAD BREAKFAST

Heather Johnson

Very beautiful place, friendly staff and delicious food.

Gilberto Joma

First time customer here. We had pancakes and French toast with all the trimmings. So delicious!!! We felt very safe with their covid protocols, and the staff was friendly and helpful.

Aaren Boyle

Very nice experience. Enjoyed the food, service and decor. The food is very fresh and portions were nice. Enjoyed the homemade ketchup and jams were very tasty. My wife enjoyed the hash breakfast. Presentation was good and service very pleasant and fast. This place deserves a five star but unfortunately, I am extra vigilant restaurant critic on visual stimulation. So only missing photo menu and to see the experience and maybe on the plates.

Debbie Aufleger

The service and food went beyond my expectations. Everything was really fresh and tasty, the atmosphere was cozy and the servers make you feel right at home. 10/10 would recommend.

Suzie Q

Very friendly service and great atmosphere. The food was very good and they were accommodating to allergies.

Richard

Food was amazing! Waitress was absolutely awesome she was so on point with everything. The best two lattes I've ever had. Everyone loved their food and service.

Ben Swanson

Onenof the best places for breakfast around. Very much famr to table with quality ingredients. Always packed full of people. Prepare to wait for a table.

Lorne Godfrey

Very chill atmosphere, all the staff were super friendly and really great in general. Egg and sausage breakfast sandwich is my favourite meal so far. 10/10 would eat there again.

hannah nash

This is one the best breakfast and lunch to grab a bite. Staff is very good and humble. Services are really good and food taste can make your day good. Must try.

Richard Hudon

Missing the BLT on the menu but the mac and cheese was good!!

Erin Finn

It was good!

Rocky Veley

You have to come here! We arrived tried from an early drive north of Toronto and sat for a while with our coffees. We didn’t even realize half an hour had passed before the server was apologizing that we had been missed. They were so apologetic that they added a beautiful fresh fruit bowl to the order and gave us our entire meals and coffees for free! They even took the time to give us fresh to go cups of coffee for the road. The service here is absolutely incredible. The food was 100% worth the wait too as we both loved our breakfast. We were left full and happy with fresh coffee in hand and ready for the rest of the drive to Ottawa. We had never been to Kingston before and can’t wait to come back now!

Glenn Foote

Very attentive service. I will be really happen when they reopen as I am craving the chorizo bowl.

Martin Saumure

The food was exceptional and very fresh. The only downfall of our visit was we were seated by a window with the A/C blowing right on me. My coffee got cold before I could drink it and so I asked our server if I could just get more water instead of coffee she obliged and still charged me for the coffee. Dont sit near the window unless you have a heavy coat on.

Judy Dore

Best breakfast I've ever had. O.M.G. Compliments to each and every employee working today. Y'all seemed happy and it rubs off on your guests. I recommend your restaurant and bakery to as many people as I can. The fact that you're a local restaurant with the most adorable startup & "where they are now" stories is just icing on the cake. Can I rate 6/5???

LucKey711 Vintage

Great business in a place you wouldn't expect to find it. Very good food. Highly recommended for lunch.

Max Howe

Delicious food and excellent service!

Darren Smith

Great service. We were in a rush to make a tour and they were very accommodating. Great pancakes!

Rachel Patterson

A bakery, restaurant combo - a winning pair for brunch. We dined here on a Sunday morning and had a short wait for our table. I was tempted to just buy a large cinnamon roll from the bakery and call it a day because they looked so delicious. We waited it out and ordered coffee, and I had the nested egg.

Kermit Ester

First time there, the food was delicious and the service was great. Clean and welcoming. Happy environment makes for a good meal.

Jessica Lynn

Clean. Fresh good food. (Potatoes are sometimes cool). Great cup of coffee. Table well spread out and full covid procedures seem to be in place. Always nice staff.

Shamsher Goraya

Absolutely love this place. Went for a quick lunch by myself. Had a lovely coffee and soup while reading my book. The bakery attached is a great place to visit on your way out. A little out of the way from downtown Kingston but worth the trip.

I visited Toast and Jam on back to back mornings. On both days I got the BLT with creamy tomato soup. I also ordered sourdough toast with raspberry jam. The BLT is amazing. AMAZING! The bacon is what all bacon should be everywhere all the time. I'm sure time of year helped, but the L and T were very fresh and very flavourful. The croissant was light and flakey and just plain delicious. The mayo that they use is excellent and many steps above a regular mayo and pulls the whole sandwich together. The creamy tomato soup was fantastic. On my second day I switched out the soup for the roasted potatoes. They were good but paled in comparison to the soup. And as long as I am going to get food from a place called Toast and Jam, I'm going to order toast and jam as it is one of my favourite comfort foods. Sour dough with homemade raspberry jam and whipped butter. Excellent! You might think " it's just toast, how can you mess that up?" Trust me, places often do mess it up but these guys don't. Fresh bread toasted to perfection with delicious jam and butter! It also needs to said that everyone that I spoke to there was very friendly and seemed to genuinely happy to be at work. An as a side note - their coffee is very good! Kingston is lucky to have such an excellent breakfast/lunch place. Thanks Toast and Jam, I will be back, soon I hope.

Service is super good, Karyann provided kind, professional service!! She’s always very kind and smile to people, she makes my day!! The food is delicious. it’s just mayo cost $2 which is ridiculous !! Coffee is not included. It’s $2.5...

I was stuck between getting the pancakes and quiche, waiter (who was amazing!) convinced me to get quiche as it is "the best ever" and I have to agree, hands down most decadent quiche I have ever had. Also got complimentary raspberry white chocolate cheesecake for my friends birthday, so so good!

I don’t get the hype. Good breakfast but not the best I’ve had. Menu options are limited and simple, nothing out of the ordinary. Portions have gotten smaller since originally opening. Their wait list process functions well but says nothing about how long you have the table and then rush you out. Our hostess came by saying they need the table, we were already getting ready to leave but a time limit would’ve been nice. Our waitress was wonderful though.

Amazing food! Great service. Tons of homemade things! Great for breakfast or lunch.

This place is so cute and the service is amazing!!! My sisters and I showed up 15 mins before they closed and they were still so welcoming. The service was amazingly quick and the food was fantastic. We got the toast and jam and the french toast and it was delicious! We got a pot of tea and it was about 3 cups worth and they didn't skimp on the milk that they gave us which was new for me. The server was so lovely and would come and check on us to make sure everything was perfect. Another server even came by and thanked us for coming, it was just so welcoming! Would 100% come here for brunch again! Was a great experience!!!

Amazing food, made in house jam is absolutely delicious. Even though there is a wait usually for weekend breakfast they give you some house made bread and butter to munch on while you wait. Emily is a great server, very cheery, which made the experience even better. Probably one of the best servers I've ever had in the way she presents herself. Definitely recommend going if you have the chance!

Great place. First time there was today. Proper and appropriate Covid protocols. Friendly staff. Breakfast/lunch menu was good. Our 2 meals were fantastic! Lov the mushrooms soup. Had a "taste" of my daughter's eggs benny... perfect! Highly recommended!

Very nice place for breakfast or lunch. Really enjoyed the freshness and quality. You can tell that they really pay attention to what comes out of their kitchen. Everything was just amazing, and I look forward to coming back soon for another meal. 5 stars!

Read great reviews and decided to have lunch here last Sat. There were lots of girls clearing off tables, no lineup and we were seated right away. Ten minutes later still didn't have even water. No one had come by. A woman had her back to us at a counter writing something and there was one other waiter serving people. It turned out the woman was our waitress and we got menus and water and an explanation that it had been very busy earlier. Another wait for food which would not be a problem except for $12 I got a triangle of tasteless quiche that was barely warm and some greens heavy with vinegrette. For $10 my daughter got a pancake with a bit of "whipped creme" which had deflated with a few blueberries floating in it and two tiny syrups. I was shocked. These prices are comparable to Cora's in Ottawa where you get tons of fruit, delicious food and whipped creme with your pancakes. That is even on days with long lineups but they are extremely efficient. I was so disappointed with this place! I was visiting my daughter at Queen's for a special "girl's day together" and we were excited to try this place out. Will not be going back.

My partner and I have gone 2 times now and we love it. Food is all very homey and fresh. Lot of homemade goods including bread. They often rotate out specialties for quiche, soup, desserts and other similar things. Theres also an attached bakery that you can get some goodies from to bring home! Service has been excellent each time weve gone even though they are a fairly busy place. Would recommend as a cute date spot or just a nice place to grab brunch with your household.

Absolutely top-notch. The serving for breakfast items was very large but not lacking in quality (two words: roasted potatoes). Their house-made jams were all tasty and the service was friendly and quick. I will definitely be back!

I love the plant based options and it is wonderful to have a place that I can go for an amazing breakfast with friends. The service is always wonderful and the food is delicious!

Great food, great staff but a very poor booking system for customers. It might suit them but.....

We are never disappointed with this restaurant. The food is always fresh, theres always something new on the menu, and they change their menu depending on the time of year so you always get fresh produce. The service is impeccable, and the price that you pay is well worth it. The bread/bagels they use are from their bakery thats connected to them. My hubby and I always look forward to coming here on our breakfast/lunch dates.

I haven't been here since before Covid, but I still remember how amazing the food was! A relaxed cozy setting in the dining room and a unique menu to choose from - And great coffee! Can't wait to meet with friends and eat here again. Delicious!

I went there over the weekend for the first time with my friends. It was amazing. Staff was excellent and I'll be back again soon!
