I've been drinking Multatuli coffee for four years now and am consistently blown away by their coffee quality and value. I pull espresso shots & make latte and cortado drinks regularly at home, and their Espresso bean blend is excellent for this. I've also tried their Ethiopian Sidamo, Sumatra Jaya Kopi, Thor's Hammer, and Mayan Fusion beans; all make delicious coffee (my favourite is the Ethiopian - the acidity is exceptional). The roaster's client service is very good: for 5lb bags (an amount designed for larger consumers, like businesses, or (in my case) coffee drinkers with access to vacuum sealers), Multatuli will deliver to your home/office for free & will usually call you to let you know they're coming. Smaller cans can be purchased through their online website or at conveniently-located CoffeeCo shops in Kingston. Roasting dates are stamped on these cans (and not the 5lb bags - those are packaged right before sale) to ensure freshness. You can pay upwards of $16 + shipping/pound for great coffee from Toronto, Montreal, etc. Or you can pay $12/pound and drink local with Multatuli. The value is excellent!!

Purchased the Guatemala Fair Trade. Excellent roast, the coffee is very rich in flavour and smell. Definitely delivers what is promised. Was also amazed by the fast delivery for in-town purchase. And the small touch of adding a metal clip for your coffee bag was awesome.

Hands down the best coffee I have ever come across. I order mine a case of 6 at a time. They arrive in really cool coffee tins that I like so much, I keep them out on display....#coffeenerd . The beans are sealed fresh with the date of roast on the tin, as well as a handy lid to reseal. LOVE!

North Roast was recommended to me by a friend a month ago. So happy with them. Coffee is absolutely delicious. They come with a cute little metal clip to seal them once opened and I love that the roast date is on the bag. I like knowing that the beans I’m grinding were only roasted a day or two before. But during the Covid pandemic, my favourite part is the home delivery. I’ve ordered twice this month. Both times my order was on my doorstep in just a couple of hours. Amazing.

Their is a coffee/espresso bar and seating for about 10 at a shared table inside the building! Open until about 4. I have yet to buy coffee from them but intend to in the future, nice place to focus and read or work and they have WiFi!

When my previous roaster raised their prices, I went looking for a new supplier. Happy I found North Roast. Great coffee, great prices, and great service. I've never been disappointed. I order 5lbs bags once every one-and-a-half months. Free, fast delivery. The other guys are now up to $89 (!) for a 5lbs bag of blend. I use an Aeropress almost exclusively and the results are fantastic. I honestly don't believe I've ever served a coffee in my home without being complimented.

During COVID: local delivery and pick up options available by submitting an online order through their website: I recommend that you DON’T use Apple Pay because it doesn’t give you delivery/pick up options. I recommend that you get your coffee beans here: I’m super happy I found this place because my local cafe in downtown Kingston is closed and getting fresh roasted beans has been difficult.

Coffee fanatics rejoice! This is THE place in Kingston to get your freshly roasted beans. Sourced from the best coffee growing areas around the world, most of their product is either Fair Trade Organic or Rain Forest Alliance certified, and is roasted on premises. I usually buy their Espresso blend, and have been doing so for many years. When I serve it to my friends, they often say, "Where did you buy such great tasting coffee?". This is not a cafe or a place to hang out with sofas or cute little tables, just a place to buy beans. If you want the cafe experience with this coffee, then go to one of the Coffeeco locations, which are owned by the same folk.

He was very knowledgeable in the variety of coffee they had there and his friendliness was a breath of fresh air. My bf and I stayed and tried their coffee and lattes. I had the pumpkin spice latte - which was extremely scrumptious! It was topped with whipped cream and crushed candy cane. Mmm!!

A multitude of beans to choose from all freshly roasted (and ground if you are too lazy to grind your own) provides the flavour you are looking for and possibly some you didn't know existed. Service is always friendly, helpful and fast, especially their Free Local Delivery. Sign up for scheduled deliveries and never worry about running out of beans again. Stop by the shop for a fresh brew at the in house CoffeeCo, their friendly and knowledgeable baristas will show you what you've been missing. Shop local and support a fantastic small business!

This is coming from someone who has never visited their physical location. I've ordered via website for contactless delivery a handful of times. I've tried a few different options and every time they offer something different that ALWAYS smells interesting and fresh. When I got my delivery today I took a whiff at 8PM and how I wish I didn't because it made me want to brew a cup right there! Some of you coffee lovers may enjoy the ritual that a cup in the morning brings and it feels even better when you're supporting a local company that uses 100% compostable bags. I definitely hope to visit their store one day alas in the past they are usually closed when I'm finished work. That's the only downside in my opinion but their product is always stellar.
