Great spot, great coffee, great food. The space is quite large with a variety of seating options from tables, booths, bars, and loungers. It's wood detailing throughout is quite impressive, and the space is always kept clean. The prices are reasonable for the quality of food and coffee. Highly recommended over all other coffee spots in town.

First time there. 'Fresh' salads are absolutely not, but the bakery items looked nice. My Italian Cobb salad was limp and brown under the accoutrements. I might be back to try the baked goods at some point, but will stay away from the salads, sadly

Really cute cafe in Kingston, great coffee and lots of different options and places to sit. only downside is when you go when the college student and university student are in school because the cafe is full of students. Other than that the cafe is very modern and in the summer they have a patio, it is a quiet place to sit and do work, they have power outlets for laptops.

This was one of my favorite places in Kingston. I usually eat here 4+ times per week. Unfortunately, last week I was struck with food poisoning after eating my favorite chicken wrap. Something about it tasted off and I was going to ask to replace it but the cafe filled with people and I decided to just take my chances. Big mistake. I brought it up at my doctor's appointment this week who advised me there have been many cases of food poisoning downtown Kingston the past few weeks. I tried contacting them so they could be aware and I was ignored. Won't be eating here again.

I enjoy some of their food, but the staff is absolutely rude. Once I ordered the spinach filled pastry and asked them to heat it up. After waiting for at least 15 minutes, while the cashier and other attendants were literally ignoring my presence by the counter, one girl came and said that they forgot to take my pastry out of the microwave. Then today I ordered a Baklava and the girl gave me one that was dismantled, so I asked for another one. The girl was extremely unhappy with my request, even though she gave me a decent item. I wonder if the attendants get stressed because this place is always crowded.

When I saw this place on Google and walked through the door, I was so excited to have found this place. It looked exactly as my ideal cafe would: modern, roomy, with lots of electrical outlets (I'm one of those obnoxious studiers). But it was a series of disappointments from there. The coffee was very mediocre for what I was expecting from a place that looked like this (my latte was made "Starbucks style," with a wad of sloppy foam just scooped on top...no free-pour magic here..), so I probably wouldn't come back here for a latte. And the internet didn't even work. They gave us passwords for two different networks, neither of which we (my girlfriend, sister, and I) were able to connect to, on any of our various devices. Really disappointing. The only saving grace—assuming you're not dieting—is their godlike array of sweets. Every type of bar and cinnamon bun you could dream up (and even some you might not have thought to). Was expecting a lot from the decor and branding but wouldn't go back, sadly.

Best coffee house I've ever been to! The selection in both the drinks & the food is amazing. Incredible cozy feel inside; once, I took my friend there and she said it felt like Christmas. Many latte flavors to choose from, so you will never get bored. Baked goods are to die for.

Wonderful experience! Myself and 2 friends stopped in to grab coffees and breakfast yesterday and could not have been more impressed. The service was fast and friendly and everyone working seemed to be having a great time, It was very busy but we did not wait long for our drinks or food. The freshly baked cinnamon rolls are unreal and I definitely recommend them. We were visiting from London, ON and stopped in before exploring downtown Kingston. I will absolutely go back next time I am in the city!

Easily the best coffee and baked goods joint I've been to in Kingston, with a HUGE selection. Highly recommend the breakfast sandwiches in the morning- especially with garlic mayo, or if you have a sweet tooth- the chocolate croissants. Comfy plush seating, Wi-Fi and charging stations. A+!

It is nice to have Crave in Kingston as it adds a nice variety to the coffee scene in town. I personally don't like the layout as it is long and narrow without many street views. Although I will continue to visit from time to time, the vibe is a little off for me.

my only issue is that the lighting at the back is too dull; so i often opt out of doing there unless i want to sleep on my books that is. wish i could get one of those tables near the front entrance but no electronics until after 5pm allowed (slightly annoying). Though i will say the hours are good considering most coffee shops in kingston closes at 7pm and this close at 9PM.

Their manager, Thomas is really nice and the worker Christina is also really nice. I love visiting their place because they always have fresh baked goods. It is a wonderful experience at Crave. I should not be paying $5 for SMALL iced tea.That is insane to me. - I have no problem with any of the desserts except for the cupcakes. The icing on the cupcakes is just terrible. Has a very wide selection. Here’s what I don’t like about the place. Waffles at that cafe have been coming soon for 2 years which is totally ridiculous. This makes me believe that the owners of this place are to lazy to pay for more food to sell. Either start selling the waffles now or take that off your menu.

The pastries here are amazing...Fresh, flavourful, and just the right amount of sweetness (other places have overly sweet products); it seemed like a real pastry expert made these. We came back on our last day in Kingston and again were impressed with everything we got, including the coffee.

I was visiting Kingston today and stopped by this coffee place. I ordered a gluten-free cookie because I am celiac. They gave me the wrong cookie and when I went back to exchange it they had sold their last gluten free cookie. They did not apologize and instead told me I should have specified what kind of cookie I wanted when I clearly did because of my intolerance. I will not be going back ever and do not recommend this place to others. ****edit****** As you see the owner has replied but there are many parts of his account that are false. I find it funny that they are blaming the customers for mixing up the orders ! That is great customer service. Baristas should be mindful and hand the customer their order, not blame the customer. I took what was handed to me by the barista I did not grab anything off the counter. She gave me the bag in my hands...Food intolerances are serious issues and there is no excuse! I will not be going to that coffee shop again especially with the lack of professionalism exhibited by the owner. Assume responsibility for your mistakes.

Single students take up all the space and barely have any Crave product in front of them... It's really annoying, don't plan on sitting there and enjoying your coffee!

First time in dt Kingston and saw this place packed. I gave it a try next morning for an Americano and a mocha. The Americano was okay. I was not a fan of the cocoa sauce in the mocha unfortunately. It was too sweet and hard to taste the hint of bitterness from a nice mocha. Considering the price point and the lineup, I probably won’t recommend it.

I stopped by and wanted a nice cup of pour-over but they sadly do not offer that here. However, they have a host of signature drinks and having been overwhelmed with options, I asked the barista to surprise me with whatever drink she wanted. Fun little experience for us all. She got to choose a drink and I got to try something I normally wouldn't. Ended up with a Frosted Mocha something, and I was thoroughly satisfied. The frosted portion of the drink had a subtleness to it that I appreciated. Also, I don't recall the Batista's name but she had an awesome English / Australian like accent.

Coffee is okay, lots to choose from that can be somewhat harder to find but nothing to write home about. Desserts however are absolutely delicious and I find it impossible to leave without one. Snacks are generally really good, nothing super cheap or filling but a bit higher quality than your typically snack fridge. Atmosphere in one word is "students". Typically a busy sea of young students either meeting up to socialize or also quite commonly study. There's a nice atmosphere to sit and read , enjoy what ever your doing if there's not too many people. Exactly what you would expect

Crave coffee house is much bigger than expected. I had only grabbed a coffee once before and never sat in. I did Tonight and the atmosphere is fantastic. Lots of places to sit and chat and tons of outlets which is really handy. Group couches provide a nice place to sit with friends and chat. Large selection of drinks and snacks to choose from too!

There is a varied selection of baked goods and breakfast/lunch items that have all been really enjoyable when I've gone here. The coffee is good with a lot of options for fancier drinks. Price is comparable to Starbucks. Interior is nice, but as many people have stated before, the seating is generally filled with students who will spend their day there. This makes it really inconvenient if you want to sit and have lunch.

THis place was amaaaaazing. I was googling cafes to go to and I found this one so i gave it a try. The atmosphere was unreal and comfy for studying. I also made a friend while I was sitting, which is also a bonus. Prices a little steep but it tastes great.

I just paid $7.00 for a "medium" macchiato!! The cup was by no means a medium, it was a small(cup only holds 8oz, very small). You can call that whatever you want, its a small coffee in the real world. If you want a high end coffee at a cheap price I recommend Starbucks over this place. Who would have thought Starbucks would be the cheaper alternative for high end coffee lol, that's how crazy these prices are. I will never return. It's called common sense, and this places pricing model lacks that.

I've been here a few times. Really like the atmosphere and the coffee and treats are delicious. Just two comments to ponder... maybe having a second or more conveniently located cream/milk/sugar section close to the door for someone who is just getting a quick coffee to go. And maybe a little more friendly front line staff. I felt like I was annoying the guy behind the counter today at lunch with my questions about the treats. I know it's not a super exciting topic, but it's a little bit of a put off.

Nice atmosphere and it's very accessible. My mom now has to use a walker, which can make it difficult if there are some stairs to navigate. A huge plus for me was that they have gluten free carrot cake (it's vegan too, but my issue is gluten). This carrot cake is delicious! For those who can eat gluten, you'd love it too. There are lots of choices of snacks and of course, beverages.

Love going here to study (the entire back is filled with students and their computers). It's also a great place to chat with a friend. Atmosphere and general ambience is extremely cosy and decoration is on point (a lot of local artists' works!). Both the coffee and the baked goods are amazing here! We had lattes as well as a cinnamon roll with cream cheese frosting which was unreal. I also noticed the staff was very friendly and were being extra kind to some elderly patrons which warmed my heart. I'll definitely be revisiting!

They have tables which are laptop-free, which is a wonderful approach to allow people to have a relaxing, device-free zone, but there is also a large area within which laptops are permitted. Although the food is alright, they really need to figure how to treat customers. When I first arrived and wanted to buy something I was presented with a screen to tip the baristas either 15%, 20%, 25%, this is ludicrous, I shouldn’t have to tip for a coffe, let alone before I receive it. Not a huge fan of small businesses that operate this way, it is clear they only care about their bottom line. Oh and by the way, my cookie was $2.75, and the coffe milk station didn’t have a garbage near by, pretty standard stuff.

Large student crowd here -- it helps that they have plenty of places for plugging in your laptop! The cinnamon bun was excellent, but the coffee was average (better cafes in Kingston, coffee wise). The cafe is darkly lit at the back, which makes it a bit glum.

I had a hot chocolate which was nice, I also had a Portuguese butter tart or something which I usually don't like but I enjoyed here. We stayed till close and the staff politely informed us of it and so we left. I cannot make any recommendations for improvements at this time. It is clean the food looks good I think I might go again.

Every single thing for this coffee house is worth trying for sure! There is an amazing atmosphere and hands down the best coffee you can get in Kingston! They offer a wide variety of coffee, tea, lattes, and so many cold drinks as well. On top of that they have a bakery that you couldn't even dream of! Which an outrageous number of options, and food avail or as well they ha e literally ANYTHING you want! Internet cafe available for anybody who need to do work and may not have the means at home, or people who just do t want to work at home. A perfect place for students, business people, and coffee lovers alike.

Is the cappuccino dead? The lack of care put into my cappuccino was surprising, especially since I saw 3 lattes go out prior to mine with at least an attempt at a design put into it, and from my colleagues descriptions of two of them they were good. On the other hand my cappuccino was far too foamy and lacked the richness that it is supposed to have. However the butter tarts were amazing and I know someone that scored some points bringing some sticky buns home for their spouse that night.

As someone able to eat gluten Crave has never disappointed me with its baked goods, but my boyfriend is gluten free and all the gluten free baked goods we have tried have not been good at all. They are gritty, dry, and overly sweet to try and mask their problems, also more expensive than equivalent items that are no doubt better. I have had some amazing things from Crave but the gluten free products are not.

Good place to get a coffee. Only 2 criticisms; not enough seating because they offer free wifi. Offering wifi is great but unfortunately the students usually fill up the cafe and it can be extremely difficult to find a seat. The other is more variety is needed in their food area. There is alot but it is alot of the same few varieties. However, for a coffee on the go it's a great place.

I would have given Crave 5 stars but for the fact that the "premium" seats at the back by the fireplace are never available as they are always filled by university students with open laptops who sit there for hours on end thanks to the free wifi offered. Excellent coffee and selection of desserts. We got lattes, the pumpkin cinnamon bun, and the walnut honey cake. I loved the cinnamon bun the best! The has lots of seating but also even more people studying, so be prepared to sit on the patio or take the order to go.

Very cute cafe, with a good area for sitting and studying and also have great roasted in house coffee, however my issue comes from the drinks themselves. Probably 1/2 of the time I go for a latte, I end up with a very subpar one, and i can see its gonna be bad while the barista (all of whom are quite nice) prep the drink, from tamping in midair, to scooping poorly textured foam onto the drink. Still going to keep going for the beans and the free drink that come with (a great deal), however just hoping the quality of the espresso drinks will improve.

5 stars for the always super friendly service, and the absolute best espresso in Kingston. Espresso and espresso based drinks alike are always consistent, smooth, and tasty. The tea and ice-teas are delicious, as well as the Italian sodas. I'm not a fan of the apple cider – It would be better if it was made with steamed apple juice/cider with a liquid sweetener. The baked treats are hit and miss for me. I do appreciate that there are always gluten free and vegan options to choose from, but the GF options I have tried are not always as tasty as they look nor as fresh as you would hope, but still good.

I appreciate their vegan options! I like the vegan chocolate almond cookie, but it’s quite dry. They combine vegan with GF as many other bakeries do, so if you want a moist cookie, you’ll have to choose non-vegan. Also, I have tried a few iced teas and all were watery with little flavour. Their regular hot tea is good though. And tea lattes! But maybe avoid green tea since each time it’s been bitter - likely from too hot water. Giving three stars because I really want to like this place more but always seem to be slightly disappointed.

A nice cozy, quiet coffee spot for the working people. Appealing to students as it pulls a young crowd and has a friendly and quietly area for working/studying with free available wifi on spot. As far as the cafe goes, it has delicious treats and top notch Batista's that provide excellent friendly Service. A good variety of salads, sandwiches and deserts and on the go options for breakfast and lunch. Definitely a must go to place in Kingston. Lives up to its name. Crave.

Very helpful and courteous staff. A nice mix of students in the back of the very large room plugged in (and camped out) with laptops and phones. They seemed to be ready to stay for the duration... studying and socializing. The front of the restaurant was filled with a mixed group of professionals and the like stopping by for coffee or tea with something to eat. There was a nice variety of sandwiches and pastries. Something for everyone. Even a few vegan options. Awesome environment. High energy. Good vibe.

I bought a whole bean coffee, namely Ethiopia. It was roasted one week ago. That was GREAT! Also, it is not expensive. I spent a lot of time to find a good coffee and finally I found it. I don't know why but it perfectly fits my grinder and machine. (I use Gaggia classic, and Eureka grinder.) I will also try their espresso shots in coffee house soon. When I buy it, they gave a free drink. That's also nice.

They have seats to stay for a while and work on laptops, but also have designated seating areas that are "technology free", so you can just enjoy your coffee. My favourite drink is the chocolate peanut butter smoothie - so good!
