Fairly new restaurant in Kingston for Breakfast/Lunch. Inside is big, bright and clean with large windows. Place is usually pretty busy- sometimes with a lineup out the door to be seated. Very reasonable cost and huge servings - their plates are enormous. Staff is friendly, still funding their niche.

They were beyond accommodating of my group of 6 showing up close to closing time. They didn't rush us, they were patient about how long it took us to order and to eat. I got lasagna. The portion was immense (50% larger than most restaurants) and it was REALLY good lasagna. The caesar salad was also good, high quality ingredients, fresh and lots of it. Everyone else seemed thrilled with their food. They brought carafes for coffee, making refills easy. They were a few decadent and huge chandeliers that really added to a delightful atmosphere. I was pleased to visit here on my trip and I hope to stop by again.

I found the service pretty lacking. I have dietary restrictions and always find restaurants to be willing to provide information. She seemed put out by just asking about what contained gluten. I ended up eating eggs with very thin bacon that broke apart when touched. My son and I went for a special breakfast but we won't be back.

Went to Coco Frutti with a couple friends from out of town. Was great to see a familiar face. The restsurant was steady and the surver was punctual at the beginning of the meal, yet not 100% confident with the menu but that was not at all an issue. When we received our food we did not have any cutlery to eat with. A manager came by asked how things were and we mentioned we had no cutlery. She asked a server to bring some to us, and they dropped off one of the paper placemats and still no fork or knife to eat with. We waited again for the server to return, watching tabled being cleaned and set and still nothing being brought to us. I had to go to the server station and ask for them so we could eat. We did get an apology a few times for the error and jokes passed on but that was all. Food was really good and filling, will return again as the staff is friendly.

I just want to say this although the price of the food was high I still feel that we as people should do the right thing and tip our servers because I've worked in the industry myself before and I know what it's like to work for less than minimum wage as Most servers do. So yeah that's also a good way of balancing out your karma for those of you who believe in that.

Horrible. Yes it's a new establishment but the staff are not trained. Our server didn't even know the menu she looked at our menu to know what came with what.. she was apologetic but obviously the company didn't train her. It's all downhill from this point. I ordered a smoothie and my friends ordered chocolate milk. We then ordered our food and I mentioned I was allergic to pineapple, I saw the waitress underline allergic to pineapple on her note pad. Moments later our drinks came my smoothie had a big chunk of pineapple on it. I repeated again.. im allergic to pineapple.The server took the pineapple off my cup and said "can I just take it off?" I was shocked as she had already done so. I didn't drink the smoothie. My friends chocolate milk was white milk with syrup and was apparently gritty. We waited 40 mins to see our waitress again. We asked where our food was and she told us it was backed up in the kitchen. We were in a rush as we had to get on the road to go out of town for an appointment. We told our waitress and she left and came back with another waitress who told us she forgot to send our order to the kitchen and that the kitchen stopped what they were doing and is making it right now. 10 mins later our food arrived. We paid for it up front because we were in a rush. Our orders were all mixed up so my friends and I decided we would figure out who owed what in the car. Our food was cold and incorrect.. my friend asked for a chocolate chip crepe with strawberries and instead got a full mixed fruit crepe/pancake. She told our server who told us they opened 3 days ago (they opened a week ago) and we are trying hard to serve everyone in a timely manor. My friend got a bowl of melted chocolate. Don't waste your time. There is better breakfast spots here in Kingston.

This is, in my opinion, the best brunch spot in Kingston. Their menu is so huge that there's something for everyone- crepes, omelettes, eggs benny, savoury, sweet, fruit-based, you name it. I've been four times now and there are tons of tables yet the place is always packed. It's a little pricey but truly delicious! I prefer this to a lot of the fancier spots downtown like Pan Chancho's and Windmills-- would definitely recommend if you're bringing a group and people like different things.

I love the menu diversity and their team is always friendly. However the decor is just...odd and seating is very uncomfortable. This chain in Quebec is a completely different experience; the fruit is fresh and plentiful, here it's lacking and past its prime.

We have been to Coco Frutti quite often for breakfast/brunch. We have always had a wonderful experience. The staff is great and the food is on point. For those who are fans of hollandaise sauce, try their roasted home fries covered in cheese and hollandaise sauce. They are amazing!!!

The food was ok but the service today was horrible. First dropped a fork, server " oh I'll be right back with a new fork" never came. Put kids meals in with server and 15 minutes later put my order in for my food . My food turned up first follewed 5 minutes later by the kids meals, apology from both server and manager, ordered rye bread and was charged .25 cents for that . The server never mentioned the up charge for the rye bread. Coffee was so so. Over all a pretty disappointing first and last trip to this location

Coco Frutti's breakfast and lunch restaurant in the RioCan Centre is just like Cora's was when it was in the Watchtower Plaza. They serve egg and fruit dishes in the morning and originate out of Quebec. Cora's old location was eventually filled with the current Eggspress, another Quebec chain with the same dishes and opening hours. Eggsquis on upper Princess Street is still another Kingston copy of Cora's. I suggest Cora's is still the best in comparison to the other three morning egg and fruit restaurants that replaced it, including Coco Frutti. Cora's had the personality of its namesake as well as a very colorful interior decorating. The fruit was carved in intricate patterns and you received a nice piece of fudge on the way out. The new Coco Frutti doesn't measure up to Cora's original store. The interior decorating scheme doesn't work with nearly bare walls and two giant chandelier lights. My vegetable casserole could have been more appropriately labelled a potato casserole. The fruit was cut in plain triangles. On the positive side, our server was very pleasant and efficient. My companion told me the ladies washroom was spectacular. In sum, I would rank the three existing Kingston egg and morning restaurants in the order of Eggspress, Eggsquis and Coco Frutti. The absent Cora's is still the best.

Always have a fantastic meal here. The kids meals are great as well. The coffee isn't the best, but they leave the carafe at your table for you to refill when you want. I really like that. Definitely love this place and worth the money. Highly recommend.

Went to K ingston coco fruitti today for my 2nd visit there. I ordered 'the popular '. The food was great!! Your kitchen staff really know their stuff. The home fried potatoes were nice and crisp and well seasoned. The waffle with fruit and chocolate was so good that it didn't even need the syrup. Staff is very friendly and service was quick. Will definitely be back.

I am very disappointed after hearing good things. The service was the worst I have ever seen in any place. The only plus was the food was good. I was waiting over 45 minutes for my food and when I got it the order was wrong and had the items I requested to be taken off for allergy reasons still on there. I saw another table of 4+ get up and leave after waiting an hour one guy of the party said. Another table next to mine, where a young child spilled her smoothy the staff noticed and went into the back to hide. The parents where left to clean it up. Our waitress messed the bill up and could not do the simple math to fix it. I am currently in the process of having an allergic reaction because of her screwing up my smoothy. Bottom line, I do not recommend going there if you have allergies, and only if you have lots of time to kill waiting for your food.

Decent food, bit expensive for what you get. Service doesn't seem to orders right with small changes (no custard, etc.). They do fix it though. Waffles were served ice cold, asked for butter got margarine, they charge you for maple syrup and instead serve table syrup (unlike every other Canadian breakfast place). Lots of menu options but food and service could be better overall.

Taking into account that this is the first weekend they are open and expected some delays as they get into the swing of things, but did not expect the hour we were there with still no food in sight the waitress was very pleasant and apologetic but had to keep coming to advise us they she had not eta on when the food would arrive for those lucky enough to be served, the food looked good probably won't return though as there are other comparable restaurants close by

We just got back. The worst restaurant experience I've ever had. We had two children with us and it took over an hour to get their drinks. After half an hour we had to flag down a different server to get us some coffee. The food was also bland. Very unimpressed, do not recommend this place.

I got an order from here through Uber eats and got the option with a sausage eggs and a crepe. The eggs were not very good and the crepe was more like a thin pancake rather than a crepe. The home fries tasted like they had just recently been defrosted and had little to no seasoning. They were also not very hot. And lastly, my sausage was in fact not a sausage. They flat out gave me a damn hot dog. A HOT DOG! I will never order from here again. Money I will never get back

Food was delicious but the service was horrible. Yes the hostess was nice but it took almost 10 minutes for the order to be taken. Once the meal was done it took another 12 minutes for the server to acknowledge that we wanted the bill; having to ask her before she disappeared again. After asking for the bill she said she would be right back....after taking 3 more orders to the kitchen. Ended up having to walk to the front to finally get our bill. Sherry (the server) needs better time management skills.

If there was an option for 0 stars, I would probably choose it for this restaurant. I visited the restaurant recently on a weekday. My meat came really dry, overcooked and stringy. I didn’t want to complain about it I just wanted to get some mayonnaise perhaps to compensate the dryness of the meat. I waited for ever for our server to come to us, eventually a passing by server got us the mayo. My complaint is with the management of the restaurant, it was a fairly busy morning and they had the place run by only 2 waitresses. I’m sure the chefs are competent and talented to cook good tasting fresh food. If you do not have enough staff then how do you plan to have customers in and out.

The menu here seems a little crazy... Lots of sweet stuff, powdered sugar, sticky, syrupy things that don't seem very breakfasty to me. I ordered bacon and eggs with whole wheat toast and fried potatoes. It was yummy, though not a big serving... Still, it was enough to fill me up. I don't know if I'll go back. Unless maybe I had a big sugar craving.

Had a combo of banana-chocolate crêpe, French toast with fruit and waffle with a couple raspberries, strawberries and bluberries. All was cold, fruits not very fresh and not great selection. Crêpe (i should say more like a pancake), French toast and waffle tasted like frozen products you buy at the grocerie store. Coffee not great, a bit weak and toasted. costed 33$, i was charged for english cream but that’s all i had to put on my plate. Not worth it!

We were there at 7:30 am on a Saturday morning and there was no one else in the restaurant. We had to wait to be seated, saw the chef on his cellphone in the kitchen and not a host/hostess to be found. After standing around for a while a server finally appeared. We ordered coffee and were given menus....15 minutes later our order had not been taken. During that time we saw one other customer come in and leave because he was not attended to either. Server came back out and said that there were working on a menu issue...not sure why that took presidence over serving a client. Ordered eggs benedict and when they arrived the eggs were hard boiled. Perhaps the chefs busy phone caused him to over cook the eggs? The second order of eggs were better. We have been here before and the service has not been the best...too bad because the place is lovely but I do wonder if the service/food issues account for the empty restaurant on a Saturday morning.

We went on a Thursday morning and it wasn't overly busy, but service was a little slow. My friend ordered a crepe dish to split with her companion, to go with their eggs, and it never came. When they finally got to us with the bill, we said nevermind, we couldn't wait another half hour for it to show up. I won't be going back, and the deal breaker for me personally was the food was just shy of lukewarm when they brought it to the table. The hollandaise had begun to congeal. Two of my friends ended up feeling not well later that day. Was it coco frutti's fault? We don't know. But if they couldn't be bothered to serve hot food, maybe they couldn't be bothered to wash their hands either. Our waitresses were very friendly but seemed a little stressed for a Thursday morning. Maybe their caffeine was just starting to kick in, who knows. I've heard good things about this restaurant, so maybe we caught them on an off day.

Decided to go for lunch at Coco Frutti for the first time on family day 2019. We were welcomed by a great hostess and were seated immediately in a nice booth. The menus are rather large, both physically and in menu options. Everyone’s food was excellent, including my eggs (I’m a very picky egg eater) and having rye toast as an option was a hit with all of us. The banana, strawberry and hazelnut chocolate crepe was my #1 favourite, I wanted another instantly. No one ever ran out of coffee because they hook us up with a large carafe full of caffeinated goodness and the fresh juice was also worth the few extra bucks. Not sure there is one thing I’d change about it. The price of everything was very reasonable approx. $50.00 for 2 adults and 1 child. I would recommend this place to anyone and will be returning in the near future. They normally take reservations but not on special holidays and is very kid friendly. We had an accident were we knocked all the jams off the table and was tended to by the staff immediately. More impressive they through the jams out and got us new ones. Kudos to the staff at Coco Frutti. Thanks for everything!

Upon chosing to share one of the menus, both of us are elderly, we were offered the attention and most kind assistance toward a successful menu in terms of quantity, variety, nutritional value.... and a required restriction of it having to be Gluten-Free. My sister-in-law and I went on a Tuesday for breakfast in the late morning. Nice décor, wasn't super busy and the service was ok but the food was sub par in my opinion. We both ordered peameal bacon and eggs. The peameal was thin and dry (hers had a hunk of bone in it - never saw that before), and her eggs (scrambled) looked like they made an omelette and just chopped it into pieces. We asked for no melon with our fruit and got underripe pineapple and 1 orange and 1/2 a banana each. A lot of their crepes looked like dessert showpieces on the menu but that isn't the type of food I normally eat, as it's way to much sugar for me for breakfast. If you are a person looking for a decent basic bacon and eggs type breakfast, I wouldn't recommend this place. Gave it 3 stars as the seats were comfy and the waiter was nice and attentive.

Why should cancer cells go home hungry? I did expect to be given real maple syrup because after all healthy food is clearly their concern (or is the word hook? ) I asked if it came with real maple syrup because if not I would order something else (that just happened to be much cheaper). She said it came with real maple syrup. So I ordered it. After the order went in she came to our table to check out our coffee levels and "Oh I just want to mention that there's a small charge for the syrup". Breakfast specials, 20.00 plus. That's a little too special for me!

Came for a late breakfast for lunch and I have to say it wasn’t bad, we had the Royal and the perfect (I think that’s what it’s called) but we were greeted right away when we came in and sat within seconds with our drink order taken. Now I will admit it was about 1pm and not very busy but it was nice to see that the staff were still attentive after a breakfast rush. The food was really good! The Benedict was perfectly cool and the waffle was crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. The only complaint I have was the home fries could have used a few more mins in the fryer and the there was nothing spectacular about the toast, but then it is toast. I will agree with previous reviews about the high chairs, they are for sure not designed for a child under 1 yr and I would recommend bringing your own if you can. Forgot to take pictures on this visit but will 100% be returning! Overall review 4/5, price is reasonable (cheaper then similar places in kingston) portion sizes are generous (both breakfast and lunch) staff was friendly and attractive without being overbearing. There are a few minor things mentioned above that prevents a 5/5 at this time.

Went for a Sunday morning breakfast with some friends and just a heads up, they don't accept reservations on the weekends. First come first served. Food: Good, had the 2014 and it was a good amount of food for what you pay (eggs, bacon, home fries, toast, fruit, beans, creton, toast). Hot food was hot, fruit was cold and fresh. Coffee was good and they leave you a carafe so you can refill your own coffee, which is awesome. Service: Our server was excellent. She was attentive, friendly, and efficient. Definitely knows what she's doing. From what I saw while I was in there, she's not the standard though. It looked like some people were struggling. The reason I can't give this place 5 stars is because they have the worst high-chairs in any restaurant. Ever. It's too big for anyone under, say, 12-14 months, doesn't have a lap belt or anything to secure your child, and the tray isn't secured either. It lifts up, and pretty easily so if you have an infant (we have a 10 month old) be prepared to hold them or the tray down while eating breakfast.

We've been there three times in two months. First time we went at lunch. I had breakfast, wife had lunch. Construction breakfast is big, wife had club sandwich which had chicken breast (not deli slices) and we were happy with it. There was a glitch with POS which didn't allow us to get lunch special but price was still fair. Back last week for breakfast, good service and food while restaurant was busy. Went this morning for early (before 9) breakfast deal and were in, ordered, are and out in half hour. Quickly seated, knew what we wanted and when the food was delivered mentioned we had limited time and Bill was brought right away. As soon as we were done the waitress (Kathya? third time in a row ????) brought over debit machine and we were on our way.

I hate to do it during this pandemic but we went out for breakfast today and we were not impressed. The food was good but the fruit on the plate was clearly dried out and didn't look appealing. And our service was painfully slow. Only place I've been where we have to put our masks on when the server comes up. But of course she didn't come around to refill coffee before the meal but we were interrupted 3 times and had to stop to put masks on while eating. Then waited about 15 minutes to pay.

Lovely breakfast/ brunch place! The food is very tasty and there are lots of options. My personal favourite is the "Heart Healthy" - eggs Benedict with smoked salmon. The omelettes are delicious as well as the crepes. There is a kid's menu. The setting is nice (old Chuckie Cheese place) and close to other stores in the Rio Can Centre. I would avoid the standalone benches for the booths; there's something wrong with the height of the cushions so you feel like you're half your height. Being eye level with your plate is always awkward.

Went with my husband today Friday 22 Dec at 1030. Restaurant was maybe 40% full. We waiting over 5 min to be seated in which the bus boy seated us when he saw us standing there. Once seated it took them 35 minutes to send over our server to take our order. The food wasn't anything special and they forgot my husband's toast. We asked for more coffee when our food arrived and never got the second coffee. Food came out around the 45 minute mark ( from the time we got there). Which only have us 15 minutes to eat. We gave ourselves an hour before an appointment that was just around the corner and barely had time to finish our food before having to rush out. Will not go back and will not recommend to anyone I know!

My wife who has a very small appetite asked to order off the children's menu today. She was denied by two staff members, waitress and supervisor. The other three members in our party ordered from the adult menu. As the paying customer, you should be able to order off whatever menu suits your needs. This is the last time we shall eat at this establishment. We have eaten here more times than I can count. So much for the customer is always correct philosophy. Good bye, and you just lost a valuable customer.

My family went to Coco Fruitti on Nov 11, 2018 at 11:00am and it was busy which was fine. It took some time to seat us and we ordered. Several other parties were seated after us. After 1 hour and watching 3 other parties that came in after us receive their meals, I inquired to the whereabouts of our meals. The server responded that she knew it would be a problem that others were receiving their meals ahead of our family including children but there wasn't much she could do. At that point we got up and left. I spoke to Manager on way out to ask why this wasn't handled better. Manager could not answer only stared at me. As a business owner myself I understand the challenges with customer service and my advice is to provide effective training to your staff to ensure the best customer experience possible. We will not be back - too many options out there and will support local establishments instead. Thanks

Service provided was good, no complaints. Getting a table for more than 7+ people was no problem. Some breakfast items, such as the crêpe, do contain nuts which was a concern since one of my family member's allergic to all nuts.

Nice decor, not as noisy as some other places. Staff was good and food was amazing. Coffee is very satisfying. I had the Nanuk omelette (spinach, smoked salmon, cheese) and will probably order that every time I'm in, its that delicious. My hubby had a veggie omelette, and he was very happy as well. Went for lunch today , after about 10 minutes our drink orders were taken and another 10 minutes to get them. My ginger ale had something floating in it. Took a while but it was replaced. Food was ok but not for the price they charge. Portions were extremely large. 2 of our 3 meals were delivered, another 10 minutes for the 3rd meal to be delivered. The chicken in my clubhouse was dry and tasted like it was days old. In total 1 hour 35 minutes for lunch service. We most likely will stick to the other breakfast place in Kingston

Very nice place for breakfast, but take care if you are vegan, vegetarian or can’t eat pork because they fry the potatoes with the bacon and they say that they only have one pan so they can‘t use another oil for the fries. We asked more than once and each time they say the same reason, which is ridiculous that a whole restaurant like this has only one pan.

Hello. I was in the Kingston establishment today with a large group of friends with our children. We required high chairs and booster seats. I was unimpressed with the wait time for the high chairs and appalled and disturbed that the high chairs were not safe. They had no safety straps to prevent our children from injury and the tray could easily be moved by just lifting. We had to hold our children while eating our poorly made food and when our children were in the chairs so we could give our arms a break. We still had to hold them to prevent them from falling. My daughter sat in her chair with me holding her and she was able to kick the "tray" up. I am very disturbed that a restaurant chain is allowed to provided a high chair for children without safety harnesses or even a belt. I will never step foot in your restaurant again. The service was poor, the food was mediocre and the safety restraints for children were non existent. I will NOT be recommending your restaurant to anyone that asks. Especially those that have children.

Only been there once but it was good. The soup was awesome! Had a club sandwich. Real meat not processed. Next time will try the omelette! I do reccomend Coco Frutti.
