I was there on 2016/04/16 around 730 pm and bought 2 coffee, using debit - the debit machine want you to tip , I but change in the cup so I asked how do I bypass the tip option, the the woman who served me was vary rude and snappy with me, because I did not tip with debit, don't think I'll go back

The service here is pretty good, the baristas are friendly, and everything was clean & tidy inside. I have had a fantastic Flat White here in the past, but their pumpkin spice lattes & pumpkin spice frappes aren't good (putting it politely). Not a bad place to grab a cup of coffee, but I would choose a different option in the future.

A solid coffee shop in a good location. Coffee is well priced and delicious. Also good breakfast options. The staff were friendly and the service was very quick. There's a good amount of seating and the ambience is relaxing. Would recommend this place if you want a quick coffee or snack!

This place has the rudest servers. No garbage can as required but law. We were poorly served and told to clean our table but to take our waste out into the mall the tables we not cleaned. We were long time customers but have given up with them.

It's a little hole in the wall cafe area. The baristas are nice. The food is hit or miss. Sometimes the pastries are stale and sometimes they are fresh. Same with the coffee. There is a cramped seating area, and a comfy area in front of a mock fireplace that is never on, not even during Christmas when it's most festive to have it on. Maybe they'll turn it on if asked? I don't know. They have interesting seasonal products. There's never a long line up.

Friendly service. Had a business meeting here and it was excellent for that. Hot Chocolate was nice, not too sweet and did not taste synthetic. Tables were clean and well laid out. Atmosphere was that of a relaxed coffeehouse.

I wish I could give this place a 3.5. The place itself is cosy and the vibe is terrific. The Chai Tea Latte just changed and frankly not for the better but the main reason this place doesn't get 5 stars is the staff. Some staff members are super friendly while others are the complete opposite. Overall it's a great spot but the owners might want to show their staff a bit more love so they can pass it on to the customers.

I had never been to second cup before but this experience makes me want to go back. Tried out a hot chocolate and it was AMAZING. So chocolatey and creamy. They even put complimentary whip cream on top. Friendly staff who were quick and attentive!

I always have great service here and their coffee is really good. My only complaint is that sometimes it's hard to get a parking spot. It is uptown though so it is what it is.

When you consider all alternative options for buying hot or cold drinks in Saint John. Why not choose to shop local, put money back into the community and rest in a comfortable environment away from the stresses of day-to-day life. There is no doubt in my mind that the employees are paid well, looked after and appreciated by their employer and customers by the way they serve me. In addition, the supply of baked goods is also fed from a local vendor that further supports the values of the company and its owners. I feel it's important to support companies who's morals reflect what's important to keeping the economy strong.

This one is inside Kildonan Place Mall. It's pretty small. Their selection of drinks isnt bad but they do have some nice dessert items. Unfortunately, I have to say that I would still choose Starbucks over Second Cup.

Tip option is a joke on the debit machine, have to go out of your way to not give a tip to the entitled 20 year old barrista that throws the debit machine at you and takes 40 seconds to acknowledge you’ve walked into the coffee shop, because she was too busy texting. With us being the only ones in line I can see how that might be confusing for her. Usually such a pleasant place to go, only reason for the second star.

We had a flat white and a coconut frocho with espresso (special order). The person that made them was friendly & didn't fuss about my special order, even though it was 6:45 am. My husband said his flat white was good and I enjoyed my coco frocho!

Best Canadian coffee chain (have tried a bunch)! The coffee was balanced, flavourful, drinks well made, and the menu had a plethora of options to choose from. Great breakfast and pastry items at hand as well. Friendly service and great location were the cherry on top!

Coffee is decent, nice selection of blends. Not a lot of options as far as modifying their standard beverages (milk substitutes etc). Baristas not always the most helpful at finding you a suitable alternative.

Had the best flat white I've had in Canada (and I'm a Kiwi who's had a few) at this Second Cup; made by Alex. Make sure he's working though, cos it makes a big difference who your barista is! Great atmosphere for a Second Cup...old Uptown building, close to the museum, Canada Games aquatic centre and King's park. Friendly staff.

The personell are great. Your prices are ridiculous. I have been arrending the KP coffee shop for 15 years. My friends (7) and Us spend easily $100 per week. Yesterday my wife Pearl and I paid $14 for 2 bagels, cream cheese and 2 med coffees including tax. I could buy that just up the mall for $10. Great coffee shop with an array of beverages and foods to choose from complete with free high speed internet. High prices, but in the heart of the uptown area. Comfortable atmosphere if your there to study or work on your business endeavors or to just hang out to relax. Recommended.

I used to like this place a lot two years ago. First, they added this annoying tip option to their terminal (I guess the tip mugs weren't paying off), now they threw away the table with four leatherette armchairs in the corner and replaced them with a huge godawful frozen yogurt bar. As if the space wasn't tight enough already. Combine this with a crazy baristas rotation (to the point when you can't get two same-tasting coffees on two consecutive days) - and suddenly I don't recognize that cozy place with nice coffee anymore. Good thing we have a couple of new shops in the uptown area that seem to care about their drinks' quality, not only the ways to squeeze more money from their patrons.

Great location and great decor (high ceilings, exposed brick). Lots of power outlets for people using laptops, tablets, mobile devices, etc. A good variety of seating options. Two (!) washrooms, which is a pleasant surprise for a location of this size. Because of the size and shape of the shop, it can get crowded in line or a bit noisy, but otherwise it's a favourite spot of mine for sitting down on my own with a drink or meeting with a friend.
