Service A+
Classy and clean. Food is really good and price is reasonable. Highly recommend it for valentines !
This was such a nice spot to have lunch on my birthday! Loved how it overlooks the pond, situated in Kildonan Park. Free parking, lots to see and the menu was enchanting
Fabulous place. The food is impeccable, the venue is beautiful, the patio is one of Winnipeg's best! The service is great, very knowledgeable server's. We've been for a fancy intimate birthday dinner and for pizzas on the patio on Saturday evening. We've been impressed every time. We'll keep coming back.
Very nice menu!! Everything else is ok
Service was great. Portions are smaller. Great location but ambience of the building lacks a little.
Wonderful atmosphere with a great view of Kildonan Park. The beef brisket was perfectly done and the pork tenderloin was done wonderfully. Also the prices did not break the bank.
Went for Easter brunch, very good food
First time for dinner, only been here for drinks this past summer
HIGH END SETTING-AMAZING STAFF AND MANAGEMENT-AMAZING FOOD
Excellent pickerel and chips ... what a treat!
Very nice surrounding. Good food. Enjoyed pickerel.
Service by Sarah is incredible as always. Great food selection at fair prices. The variety is always changing and the food is made to perfection by the chef. A hidden jewel in Winnipeg that we want to keep to ourselves and yet should be shared and experienced by many!
amazing food, beautiful view, (especially in summer) kind and friendly staff
First time here and we were served like royalty! Great service the food was amazing. We had the Smoked Arctic Char Eggs benedict and the Smoked Beef Hash.
Started off with the beet fritter as an appetizer we shared. Lovely! Entrées - - 3 of us had the delicious smoked beef brisket! Yum!! Hubby had the Bison stew with bannock - - loved it! Others had the pickerel and fries and it was great. Excellent service!! Thanks Beata!
Lovely patio. Great view. Good service. Proof of vaccine required. (Aug 7, 2021)
Went there multiple times, they have been out of ice cream once out of napkins the other, and a few months ago they served milkshakes in a big sized milkshake cup now they serve in coffee cups which are way smaller and when I asked they said they have always served in that size. Same happens with the fries. Another time I asked for a chocolate swirl and they gave me vanilla without asking if I even wanted vanilla. Food below average, price above average.
Fried chicken burger absolutely delicious I’d recommend add a little extra sauce to really kick it up a level. Support local and call ahead for your order instead of using skip to deliver or for curbside. Calling in ensures every dollar goes to the business your supporting
Great local food and drink at an affordable price. This place has a great atmosphere!
Had an amazing Valentine's meal. Menu was so good we couldn't decide so we simply ordered all four appetizers to go with our main courses and desert. Food was honestly the best we've had in Winnipeg, in fact, just about anywhere (and this comes from a culinary trained chef!) Service was great (Fiona, I believe), prices were well below what we'd expect for the quality of food. The chef (Grant) did a wonderful job with the menu. We will definitely be returning to try the regular menu. Thank you to all the staff, we had a fabulous Valentine's evening.
Lovely Sunday brunch. Food was Great.
Restaurant in the park, beautiful surroundings. The deck seating is very nice. Good food, was what I'd expect from a mid priced Wow Hospitality spot. Service left a bit to be desired, not typical of Wow.
The service was slow. Was not impressed, the staff all saw us waiting and no one came to greet us for almost 5 minutes, they were all busy giggling and chatting at the bar. The food was enjoyable but the service was not.
MY first time here was this weekend and we will be back :). We ordered the beef flatbread as our starter it was huge and could have easily been an entre , and not even that the flavours complemented each other perfectly, me and my boyfriend both agree best "flatbread" we've ever had. I ordered the artic char salad it comes with potato pancakes and they were also the best I've ever had. PRaires edge has a full stalked bar with local beers including one of favourites (little scrapper, half pints). Service was great location is awesome there's nothing bad I can say about this place or the food. Perfect night out
just as I said above good food, good service and a beautiful view, what more can be said, food was well prepared
Great local and Canadian food, normal prices you would expect. Great service. And a beautiful location.
Had a very nice valentine's day dinner. A very good guitar and vocal duo who kept their amplification at pleasant level added to the evening. Lucked out and got a reservation by phone on 20 minutes notice even though OpenTable said they were full up.
Great food, speedy and friendly service, nice park setting.
We went for Sunday lunch before matinee at Rainbow Stage. Sitting out on the patio in the shade was pleasant. Overall though disappointment doesn't begin to cover it. Coffee had to be asked for twice, no big but it didn't help. The food wasn't particularly hot, nor special enough to be worth the prices. The waitress was decent at communicating the delays, but really?!?! We kept getting told that the kitchen was slammed... I have a VERY hard time believing that it being that busy is unusual for a Rainbow Stage Sunday after church. Despite arriving in more than enough time (about two hours before show time), we didn't get our food until about 25 minutes before curtain. We wolfed down our food, had to flag down the waitress, and nearly ran to make curtain. Bottom line - next time we go to Rainbow Stage we'll find another option to eat before the show.
Amazing food and beautiful venue within Kildonan Park. Boneless Short Ribs and Smash burger were our selections and you cannot go wrong either way. Delicious.
Gem of a place with beautiful park views.
First great experience. Had the Frittata and it was great. Also had a mimosa which was good as well. Definitely a must try. Great views of Kildonan Park off the balcony/patio seating area.
Expensive for what you get. Vegetarian sandwich was missing 3 of the ingredients. Service slow. Patio nice. Reccomend for beverages.
Great food our server was amazing she was always coming around the table. She was so professional.
I wish there was a 4.5 option, we went with a group of 6 and everyone loved their meals. Portions were decent on all mains that they ordered. Served at all the same time, great drink options. My only complaint was the size of my salad, the potato pancake salmon and dressings were perfect but I would have like either more greens or another pancake as I left feeling I wanted more.
Great location. Great service. Food was okay, maybe a little over priced. But it is overall a nice time.
Had a awesome date with my girlfriend on Valentine's day. The cocktails and food were delicious. Prawns, spinach salad, beef tenderloin with lobster tail, salmon, and an amazingly rich piece of chocolate cheesecake.
Small portions as well food was cool.
Always a pleasure coming to this place. Great food, decent prices and awesome atmosphere!
Service to seat was slow. Fish was rubbery. Had to ask for coffee refill, not attentive.
Bought fries $4.50 and chicken fingers $5.00 and got a small size fries and 3pcs of chicken fingers but they offered me all you can have ketchup and honey dill. This place is a joke and the view outside is a swamp. I would never go back here. Keep out!
The menu is amazing with lots of great options. Got the lamb shank and it was perfect. Great spot
Food was delicious, reasonably priced and portioned very well.
Came with 12 kids and 10 adults. Everyone enjoyed their meal. I really liked the bison burger. Nice scenery.
(Translated) Simple and limited card, the quality is good. (Original) Eenvoudige en beperkte kaart, de kwaliteit is goed.
Great food
Our go-to place for weekend brunch. I see other reviews mentioning high prices, but that must be an evening thing because the brunch menu is extremely reasonably priced (average entree around $14), and it's always delicious. We also love the huge windows looking out over the pond/skating rink, and the staff are great.
Very stylish location with edible food for quite a lot money. Just a plain fish dish (fish & chips) costs as much as the ticket for the show at the rainbow stage. They have alcoholic beverages e.g. vine at dream prices... Staff is friendly and helpful. Washrooms in the basement accessible via staircase or elevator. Suitable for wheelchairs. Ok for a special occasion but too fancy and expensive for a normal dinner out unless you are really well to do or need to show off...????.
Good food for fine and casual dining. Broad price range and snack window for just a treat while enjoying the park. Large fireplace, mod decor, excellent views. Visit before attending Rainbow Stage, just a short walk away.
Fantastic food service and atmosphere.
Nice food outlet. Needs to improve iced coffee taste-poor quality for the price.
Nice atmosphere, good service and the food was great!
After quite a few unfortunate visits during different times of the year the food was always basic. They should remove informing them of dietary concerns when ordering (gluten, allergies, etc.) from the menu as they will disregard anything you tell them. Only eat here if you have no health concerns or allergies. Not a young, family friendly, or middle aged romantic spot, but this is a great place to recommend to grandparents. Otherwise try other Wow! establishments such as 529 Wellington or Peasant Cookery for better quality service and food.
Great meal and beautiful location. We sat outside and enjoyed a peaceful meal amongst trees and birds. We chose the smash burger but substituted gruyere instead of American cheese. We had the cheesesteak sandwich and the eggs Benedict on potato latkes instead of muffins. Excellent!
Excellent fat boys, excellent poutine. Friday night special was a little strange but worth trying. Good food.
The burgers and onion rings you get from their takout window are great. They use high quality beef and good ingredients.
Made a reservation for 7 people my mother's birthday this evening. Doors were locked with a sign saying closed for the day??? Couldnt even call us and say that they were closed.
Fun place for lunch. The soup was great, the portions are small, the sandwich terrific. Server was distracted and forgetful. Patio was closed do to renovations. It was disappointing.
Had the Hot Fried Chicken Sandwich. Tasted great! Not that spicy as you'd expect. Photo is my feelings towards this restaurant.
Delicious local ingredients. Beet fritters are fantastic.
Been there a few times now for lunch with my dad who is 92 years old. Your servers are so wonderful! The kindness and patience they show makes this such a special time. We love the food here.
Little gem in the middle of Kildonan Park. Small simple tasty menu, very cozy decor inside with large patio overlooking freshly renovated pond. Kale Caesar salad was very tasty, nice dressing. Bison burger was bigger than I expected. Let's just say it didn't last long on my plate. Topped it off with ice cream restaurant sells out of little window next to main entrance. Highly recommend.
Pretty disappointed in my experience tonight. We came for my moms birthday.. she chose it because she really enjoys it. For appetizers, we had the hummus, bread basket, and chicken wings. The hummus was delicious honestly no complaints with that although when we asked the server what the red sauce was she said it was “some sort of tomato thing”. Really wished the server had better menu knowledge but she could have been new... we don’t know. The bread basket with oil and balsamic was not well thought out. The dip bowl was way too deep and each piece of bread we dipped in only got the oil with hardly any of the balsamic. There were two pieces of what I think was bannock in the bread basket which did not pair well with the dip what so ever. The maple chili sauce for the chicken wings was pretty good no complaints there. Once we finished our appetizers, we ended up moving the plates to the end of the table where there was some space because they took so long to clear them. For my main, I ordered the butter chicken flatbread and a side of German potato salad. The flatbread sounded super good on the menu but was super disappointing. It had zero butter chicken flavour. It just tasted like tomato sauce with poached chicken tossed into it. The German potato salad was good but underseasoned. We had creme brûlée for dessert and it was one of the best I’ve ever had anywhere. However, the bad still outweighed the good during my visit. Because of the price point, I expected better service and food especially from a wow! hospitality restaurant. I didn’t say anything at the restaurant to the sever about the butter chicken but it was my moms birthday and I didn’t want to ruin her dinner. My mom really enjoyed her meal and that’s what matters most.
Very nice venue
My friend and I share the same birth date. Made reservations and told we would receive a free desert. We get to the restaurant and seated. Wonderful atmosphere. We had already reviewed the menu online and was looking forward to the daily special for supper $32.00. Waitress explains the menu online is wrong and can not be changed. The special was also not available due to several complaints the meat was tough. We were not offered a substitute and ordered from the menu provided. Ordered a glass of wine that took longer then expected to get. It was apparent our waitress catered to other tables with more people and was not attentive to our table. We were not offered appetizers or salad to start out. Our food finally arrives and I was absolutely shocked how small the portions are for the price. The steak was supposed to be New York and cooked medium. I do not believe it was New York. The meat was flatter like a pancake and full of sinewy fat. Could not cut with the butter knife provided. Steak was overcooked, mashed potatoes resembled cat food. Was gritty and gross. Both my friend and I ordered the same thing yet we did not receive the same food. Vegetables are overcooked and burnt. I sent my food back and was not offered anything else. Waiter offered desert without a birthday greeting acknowledgment. We declined. We were there over 2 hours. The food is terrible and overpriced. No quality or quantity with this restaurant. Went home to eat good food I made myself. Very disappointed and prefer not to hear a response to contact General Manager with experience. These issues should be dealt with at the restaurant immediately. Don't waste your time or money here.
Delicious, great staff a must try
STILL over priced food and slow service. Went again today to see if anything has improved and NOPE. Waited about 30 MINUTES in the blistering heat with my 2 kids for "fast food". Paid over $11 for 2.5 chicken fingers, fries and a kids cone. Terrible... Luckily it tasted good, probably cuz we were starving by then ????
Very nice location, tasty!
A nice river view
They have a really nice patio. I highly recommend it especially on a warm day! The server at the pick up window is very friendly and kind. ♥️ Keep up the good work guys!
Winnipeg's Kildonan Park's Prairie's Edge is always a good restaurant choice for both casual and formal dinning, whether one just wants a quick cooked breakfast or a quiet formal dinner with friends, the menus here are extensive and well planned; meals are well prepared; well presented and very flavourful. The service too is excellent, table staff are there whenever they are needed, but are not intrusive. We were able to finish each course without really being aware that the next course had been placed in front of us; waterglasses and coffees were all kept well filled. Should one be in the area, the Prairie's Edge is always worth a visit in my books.
Food was great, service was excellent, highly recommended
Limited menu due to COVID-19 restrictions
The food was delicious and the staff was great
Went once loved it. Went again and had to wait over 30min for coffee. Food came before drinks. Weren't the only unhappy folks there that day. Food was also cold when we got it, like it was sitting under the warming area for a while.
Honestly I had the greatest brunch in my entire life. Everything was perfectly made, the hashbrowns, bacon and the scrambled eggs were all perfect. While an unimportant part of the meal, the toast was somehow equally amazingly. And with great food, the ambience is also fantastic with fantastic staff, unique architecture and great view of the surrounding park. Good COVID measures as well. I will return.
Food was very good, burger was delicious as was the hummus. Server very attentive and friendly made for a very nice evening.
Great food and scenery
Great value for the sandwiches and burgers! Nice spot in Kildonan Park for lunch or dinner.
Beautiful location on a pond in kildonan park. Great food and service. Still seems like people forget about this place which is good for getting a spot but I hope they survive long term. As good as pine ridge hollow but a lot closer. Brunch on the patio is amazing.
Always an amazing dining experience: friendly staff, great food, and an awesome view!
Cold coffee, cold fries, waitress could only do one thing at a time and spent all her time apologizing for the wait. Next time I will pack a picnic
Very good food. Fresh and tasty
Very delicious lunch. Nicely paced. The will boar ragu was cooked very well and flavorful. The brisket nicely cooked and the hot mustard had just a nice kick! Thank you for our anniversary luncheon!
Beautiful sitting on the patio
Excellent service...great views of the duck pond.
Beautiful views of Kildonan Park and a clean restaurant with decent food.
Excellent food and service
Good food, good service.
We had a great experience today: the server was absolutely amazy.l ordered hummus and it was out. I really wanted pork or their great lentil burger and that was not available. She went all out to accommodate my requests and a got a very tasty veg. burger. My spouse loved the lamb.
The chicken sandwich was delicious. They also took all the precautions you'd expect with social distancing which is nice to see
Great food, awesome view! The service was really fast even though they were super busy.
Excellent food. Fabulous service.
Had the hummus starter and it was delicious! I think more of the items on the menu should be available without meat for vegetarians. I absolutely love the venue, the pavilion is a long time favorite building of mine. A beautiful piece of brutalist architecture, it's been my G+ cover photo for years, long before Prairie's Edge existed!
Paid over $6 for a bottled water and a tiny hotdog.
Excellent service, beautiful location and good food
First time dining at Prairie's Edge and it was really enjoyable. The atmosphere is simple, but comfortable and relaxing. There's something nice about it being set in Kildonan Park that gives it a charm. The staff are very courteous, attentive and responsive to our requests. Our food arrived in a timely fashion and was tasty and served at the appropriate temperature. Portions were quite generous. If you are hungry, go with the half chicken! There were a number of appetizer and dinner choices that will bring us back again.
Unfortunately there is nothing special here, the food is basic and so is the service.
Amazing food! Had my work xmas party there and enjoyed it very much. Really good portions, the appies were quite tasty and the prime rib was some of the best I've ever had. Highly highly recommend!
Food was excellent and came super quickly!
A lovely place for dinner! The brisket was delicious... so tender and moist. Serving size was just right. Hubs had the pork chops and was very happy with the flavor. We will be back!
Good food. Good service.
Staff very accommodating. Food outstanding. Price crazy good for the excellent quality.
We had a good prime rib meal except we could only get a 830 dinner time and the prime ribs was beautiful but the veggies (green beans, carrots and baby potatoes) were over done. Service was great, our server was very polite and nice. When I told him about the video he gave us delicious chocolate cheesecake, which was very decadent and rich. I want to try the lamb next time. More expensive place 25 and higher for entrees. Very good wild mushroom bisque and kale ceasar salad.
Food tasted good. Had the prime Rib. Could have been hotter.
Nice brunch. Food and service was great! Able to book online and even put comments. We will be back! Also loved the deck and view of pond and grounds.
Too expensive for a restaurant with bad service and mediocre food. Went and spent 20 something dollars and only got $13 worth of food.
Absolutely Delicious
A friend and I came here for drinks and a late lunch on the patio and were pretty disappointed with the service. We both ordered dishes that were supposed to have pesto in them, and neither of them seemed to have much, if any at all. As well, our server was pretty inattentive as we were left waiting for our bill for around 45 minutes after finishing the food until we finally had to go inside to get our server. Apparently she had been "caught up" when it was in fact very empty in the restaurant and a bunch of the servers were stood around the bar chatting. Prices a bit high for the quality of food and service we recieved.
Food was well presented and tasty, but not what I expected.
I was just there this morning with my dad for a pep-rally. For SOM.
Friendly staff, scrumptious food, amazing views!
Good food nice atmosphere but the portions aren't huge
I really liked the place and its natural environment. The attention of the boys was cordial and good. Exquisite food. I want you to consider, general cleaning the carpets are very dirty and full of grease, it is disgusting. I would give it 5 stars, but cleanliness is a fundamental part. Thanks
Great! Had breakfast on the patio. Such a pretty spot watching the ducks in the duck pond! Love!
My sister from Edmonton and I had dinner here last night and were very disappointed in the small portions of Fish and Chips we received for the price we paid. There was more batter than fish. We got home and made a sandwich as we were still hungry. Will not recommend this restaurant. The service was good, although the place was 3/4 empty. Sorry
Great food and great views. The menu is full of unique flavors and twists on popular favorites. The restaurant is nicely tucked inside Kildonan Park which offers some beautiful scenery at any time of the year. In the summer it is worth taking a stroll after dinner to take in the gorgeous flowers nearby. Don't forget to bring a camera.
Just had a lovely lunch with friends. Two shared the grilled cheese and veggie sandwiches the other two shared grilled cheese and Reubens. The chief split all meals, even the fries and salad. Was the first restaurant experience since March, it was great!
Great place for a nice Sunday breakfast!
Good food ,Great service . Definitely recommend!
It is a great place to relax and enjoy authentic locally sourced dining creations! It's located in the middle of Kildonan Park, giving it a warm secluded feeling of being in nature.
Great service and enlightening atmosphere. The food was excellent.
Great food, professional but friendly service and an amazing location. Highly recommended
Awesome food. Decent eggs Benedict. Service was great!
Kind of expensive food but its all worth it after a walk in the park.
Very nice eatery in Kildonan park. Indoor andy outdoor seating. Also a small take out area and ice cream window. Good food When there at lunch. Staff very friendly. Very busy so reserve.
Had a lovely catch up with a friend and a delicious Corned Beef sandwich at Prairie's Edge.
Love it
We went for dinner before Rainbow Stage, food and service was amazing. Generous portions and good service. Definitely will come back, nice setting.
Fantastic service!
I tried the lamb shank it was incredible be careful it may ruin lamb everywhere else. I absolutely love sitting on the patio(unfortunately its winter right now). Kildonan park is beautiful and it pairs nicely with fantastic food and great service.
Excellent.
Great service. Food is delicious!
The staff are very friendly. Nice environment! Not a lot of varieties in the menu tho. But the fried chicken is awesome and highly recommended! The cream brûle is amazing too.
Food was average. Slow service. Lovely if you sit on the patio as it is right in the park
We were a large group and I wasn't impressed with being seated back to back. The food is good but over priced; $50 for fish and chips with two beers is too much.
Good food and quiet and relaxing
The restaurant was so great except the smell from outside sewage that came and went though just at the entry. The washroom had one stall open as the other was dirty and nobody to clean up the mess. They did have plexiglass partitions and a wonderful view of a duck pond and inviting walk ways. Menu was okay. Our dishes were delicious, appealing and the right amount. Coffee was very good. Will come back as I made a reservation for next week. Waitress was attentive well versed on the menu plus courteous. Dessert was great. Wish this restaurant was closer to my area of the city.
Food is great. This place is really underated, and so good.
Food was good, however menu on website was different than actual menu in the restaurant
The food and service were both excellent. We will be going again.
It was closed that sucked
Perfect. Great food great service + EXCELLENT COFFEE ❣️
Very cozy place to hang on. Even basement is also nicely maintained. Give it a try.
Well prepared delicious food. Good attentive service.
Good food good service.
I love the ambiance here! The service was great but the bacon in my grilled
Gray meals for Great price.
The staff is great, as is the food and atmosphere. I love having the park right outside.
Good food and good people! Manitoba's chief provincial public health officer has written that he will choose to continue wearing masks in indoor public places. Prairie's Edge has chosen to follow that advice so staff and customers are required to "mask up." Bravo to them!
Excellent
just as I said above good food, good service and a beautiful view, what more can be said
Highly recommend for a fresh cut. Very professional and talented barbers out there!
Very pretty setting. Great service. Eggs Benedict with smoked beef was tasty. Served on a potato latke. It was a bit soggy
Beautiful location and wonderful meal.
Fantastic!
Service was good. The food was just Ok.
Beautiful facilities excellent customer service personnel, nice prices, great senior menu. Following the health restrictions. Good parking.
I always enjoy the meals. I am a super fan of their sangria's as well????
Great atmosphere and excellent service
Great food and atmosphere! A little pricey at lunch but solid!
Went with friends. This service and food was great
I hosted a 14 person family dinner for my wife's birthday last Saturday. It was a special milestone and Prairie's Edge was a beautiful setting for it. The park-like surroundings were picturesque and the prime rib dinner was done to perfection. Service was excellent. We had pre-dinner cocktails and appetizers...and this seervice was done very well as well. Service and food were excellent. We wouldn't hesitate to do it all over again.
Went for a dinner, kind of last minute. Had no problems getting in. The drinks were amazing and the food was even better. Service was great, she was very busy and did the absolute best she could. Very happy with everything, we will certainly be back.
I love the ambiance here! The service was great but the bacon in my grilled cheese did not taste fresh. I did not say anything to the people who asked how my food was because they were all so nice. I will go back again but will choose something different next time. This is my fifth time coming here for lunch and I quite like the location and the atmosphere.
Breakfast was amazing as always. Had to sit in the sun- rainbow stage crowd made it busier than usual.
Excellent Short Ribs Our server Beata suggested the Honey Peach Fizz cocktail which I enjoyed but wouldn't order again - it was a nice drink that I would rate a 7 out of 10. Beata recommended the Boneless Beef Short Ribs and they were fantastic. Three medallions of very tender short ribs were topped with a Kale Chimichurri - shorts ribs tasted fantastic but I thought the Chimichurri overtook the taste of the short ribs so I pretty much moved the Chimichurri to the side. The ribs were served with brown butter mashed potatoes but I can't say I tasted the brown butter - the mashed potatoes were a solid accompaniment to the short ribs. A very nice surprise on the plate was the perfectly prepared broccolini - broccolini will now be a regular produce buy at home! Beata was very attentive and I'm definitely requesting her on my next visit!
Beautiful venue. Food does not live up to location
The setting and food is great... hidden gem of a place.
just as I said above good food, good service and a beautiful view, what more can be said, food was well prepared and nicely presented
Food was good.
Friendly staff and good quality food.
Good food and service.
Food delicious. Staff very friendly and efficient. Beautiful view
Came here for the free skating during our visit. Loved it!
It's good to see the Pavillion at Kildonan Park being put to good use. The meal I had was great. The service could have been a little better.
Location and interior is very beautiful! Food was not good though and the service was slow. My partner the bison burger and it was dry, overcooked and rubbery. I got the spaghetti and meatballs, lacked flavour, the pasta was a similar texture to spaghetti-o's but the meatballs were decent. Honestly, the best part for the food was the homemade bread.
Amazing service even better food
Went here for lunch and the food was wonderful (try the Pickerel Cheek Salad and/or the Mushroom Bisque!!) Our servers seemed a little bit "scattered" (One would take our drink order and a minute later the other would come by to ask if we needed another drink, etc) but we assumed this was just a new staff/rare situation kind of a thing. Would definitely eat here again and recommend to anyone looking for something new.
Food was great, service was too.
Called in for brunch and was extremely surprised by the menu and prices . A little hidden gem that not a lot of people know about . The food was excellent the portions were a good size and the service was top notch. A smiling waitress and other staff cleaning tables to help keep the place spick and span . Well done . Take the family for Sunday brunch and you will not be disappointed .
The food was delicious. I had the fish and chips. I didn’t try the spicy tempura..I am sure it would have been delicious. The staff were very friendly and quick to respond
Went last night for supper. Service was exceptional. The waitress Beta did everything she could to ensure we enjoyed our dining experience. The arctic char was wonderful also.
Bison burger was very meaty and rubbery. Another person had fish and chips, too small portion of fish. French fries were the best. The dessert portion very small for the price.
Nice quiet little place we found randomly looking on the map. Food was presented nicely, 2 of us had breakfast and the other 2 had lunch. I would've given 4 stars but 3 is based on the fact that once we received our food we were never asked if we needed anything else until I asked for the bill. Also there was no flavour on the French toast and the peaches looked questionable.
Excellent food, service and price!
Our order was great hidden gem recommend
Not my kind of food
Went there yesterday with group of 22 people. Great food and fantastic service! Kudos to the chef ! Will be back !
A convenient place at a great location in Kildonan Park. Great burgers and fries takeout without the mask nonsense. Then sit anywhere in the park to eat.
Great place, service and menu
Double burger and sweet potatoe fries are excellent.
Great place for a quick bite to eat.????
Dougies for dinner.
We had a wedding there..it was great..delicious food and the best service
Nice decor, got seated right away. Saw the menu & almost had a heart attact. Its nicer inside than what I remember when I use to tobboggan there but its pricey. Enjoy your stay tho !
I'm just happy that everything is open ☺️
Came here for our wedding anniversary and was not disappointed. appetizers were very afforable drinks tasty & the meal which was the Sat special (prime rib) cooked to our liking & well presented. only thing if i was to be critical was not having horse radish or au ju with it (didnt ask) . Sat out on the terrace and with a meal, my wife, and nature what else could you ask for . To the city parks dept get busy & finish the pond before it gets cold!!!! to enjoy the outdoors eating.
Food was excellent. They do a good job following the health protocols.
great service
Nice location, service was good, we liked our meals but nothing was special and some wasn't hot. Perhaps better for lunch
In our party of 12, most dinners were wonderful. Two ordered the same entree, and both sent it back and reordered. The only miss.
Ordered for the first time through Skip. Burgers & chicken burgers were amazing! I will be a repeat customer.
We recently had a family dinner at Prairie’s Edge. Food and service were both excellent. Our server Jeremy, had exceedingly pleasant and helpful table side demeanor, and was exceptionally attentive to our group, in spite of having several other customers to accommodate. We had several of the menu items among us and everything was superb. Great experience. Highly recommended.
We went in for Burger week and in order to expediate the process, I had paid in advance for a coffee, a drink, and the burger. Also gave a nice tip. That was probably not the wisest move! Although the burger was nice, my drink never came and then when I asked to be reimbursed, they attempted to keep the remaining dollar 10 in tax! Although the food was nice, I never got to try the drink, and the service definitely lacked. I feel like once she had her tip, service was no longer required. Very disappointed. But on the bright side, there Burger submission was quite nice!
The service was outstanding. The food was on par with the service.
Nice quite place awesome food relaxing
Just fantastic.
Fantastic environment!! Good food.
Amazing. Loved the ambiance and every dish I had was incredible.
Terribly slow slow slow. Great location, food was good but really the slowest service ever. They should have a coffee server....over half hour for cup of coffee...over one hour after ordering to get simple bacon and egg breakfast.
Excellent date night environment!! And perfect place for a little skate after????
Good view of the park and very good food
Great atmosphere, wide selection including acceptable vegetarian options.
Fantastic staff, delicious food in good sized portions. It has a nice cozy atmosphere
Tasty Eats & very accommodating
Great hidden gem in Kildonan park. Awesome supper on patio.
Good food. Service just ok.
Nice dinner out. Prairie's Edge is a good restaurant, that could be great. The Beet Fritters were excellent and definitely the best part of the meal. The Smoked Beef Brisket was good, but the overwhelming mustard flavour of the potato salad hindered the dish. There was already enough mustard flavour in the demi-glaze and I would have preferred some type of acidic-dill-style potato salad, or even a warm roasted potato salad. The mixed berry Bread Pudding was okay; it lacked flavour and left you wanting something else for dessert. Service was very good, and the view out the windows onto the park is lovely.
Definitely a must check out! Great staff & good menu
I have had another delicious meal at the Prairies Edge. Discovered this place in the early spring. Have been back four times already. Currently it is my favorite restaurant in Winnipeg. My adult children agree and will from now on take me there for special occasions.
Nothing special
Good is great !
Good food and service.
My husband and our friends loved their lunch which is why I gave 5 stars, however I had the fish and chips and would never have it again. My past experience with pickeral is bones ( not at this restaurant) and this fish also had bones, I don't like shoestring chips and they were so over done some of the skinny bits could be hazardous to my teeth. I will go back and have something completely different. I saw burgers and salad which looked good. I'm a British expat so I am particular about my fish and chips ????
Wonderful atmosphere, food and service
Had brunch with my partner on a weekend, beautiful location, almost all the tables were occupied, service was ok,the food took a long time to arrive, food quality left us disappointed with the overall experience.
Service and food were excellent!
We took a friend here as a thank you for pet sitting...she had never been , very impressed with atmosphere,,, setting and of course, the food! two of party had the Arctic Char, excellent, fresh..other had the pickerel, we shared the hummus & beet fritters appys,,again excellent...the peach crumbler was an excellent meal finisher, peachers should be used more often!
Had a wonderful lunch with my mom. The food was great and the service was fantastic. Thank you for being COVID safe. We will return again another time.
Always good food. Always great service. Love the view.
First time for dinner, only been here for drinks this past summer. We went Sunday night and it was quiet but its February. Anyways it was awesome! Try the brisket, it was delicious. Wife tried the sole (fish) and enjoyed it. Topped it off with creme brulee. Loved it. Great atmosphere and kind staff. Thanks guys! Hope to see you soon.
LOVE Prairie's Edge... only complaint is it's ALWAYS so HOT in there... don't feel comfortable and don't feel like eating in such heat....
Baby welcomed. Given a corner table but not ignored. Special diet needs respected and accomodated. Food yummy. Hidden gem.
Excellent
(Translated) Very tasty. Thank you. (Original) Дуже смачно. Дякую.
This was our first visit, enjoyed the lamb shank and roast beef special. We also tried the pork belly appetizer, which was very flavorful. We will definitely visit again.
