Such a cozy and warm place to have a good cup or coffee! I had a large light roast and an americano, both were excellent! I'm no coffee connoisseur but I know enough to know that if you're looking for a spot to grab a cup to go or sit for a while and relax, this is a great opportunity to support local and get something great! Next time I'm definitely trying some of the cookies! ????

A really cozy place to enjoy a delicious cup of coffee. Super kid friendly and the staff are very nice. The design is so unique and unlike anything I've seen and I love it. Another great bonus is if you bring your own cup, you get a discount on your drink. This is my go-to coffee shop and I could, and have spent hours there relaxing and enjoying the space.

WOW! I love this place. I had a London Fog, it was made with top shelf loose tea, and it was perfect, best I've had in the Peg hands down! Also fresh daily baked goods... Amazing. The atmosphere is inviting, and warm. The owner and staff were great to talk to, and I love that it's Luxton area owned!! I've lived a block from this location for 10 years and we finally have a real coffee joint within walking distance !

Modern coffee is my favourite place to go for coffee when I'm at work. Staff are super friendly. The orders are always correct. I will admit it was an adjustment for my mouth to gave the real pumpkin PSL. Not as sweet, but very good.

Such a strong place in the community where you can go to meet up with people you know, or to go and set up for studying, work, or a comfortable seat with some great coffee. Locally sourced in nearly everything sold. When I walk in, it feels like I'm arriving in my living room with a fire to greet me.

I went to Modern Coffee for the first time today and truly enjoyed the experience. The atmosphere of the place was nice and relaxing, the drink was absolutely delicious (I had the Chai Latte - no fat milk), and they were well set up for social distancing. I plan to go back, hopefully in the near future.

Delicious treats from local bakeries. Awesome tea selections from Amsterdam Tea Room. Very friendly staff, and an amazing owner who’s work really speaks for itself. This place is truly loved by the community it serves.

This place is wonderful. The coffee is good, the tea is AMAZING (Amsterdam Tea House tea). The owner is super nice and cool. It is a little noisy if you're trying to read or work but it's an excellent place to hang out.

This is the best absolute place to go for coffee in Winnipeg. I used to work here and the owner and other staff are the best! Definitely go here all the time. Their matcha is amazing and coldbrew too. The photos and antiques inside make this cafe so unique from any others. It’s so tied to the history of the North End and when you walk in you can see it. Community members are always here and there’s so many regulars. Way more than other cafes I’ve worked at. It’s honestly because of how relaxed and friendly everyone is there. There’s often music ???? and even during the pandemic they’ve been operating through a window which is a great idea and keeps everyone safe :)

Lovely cafe!! Much needed addition to the area. Inside you'll find it has a vintage vibe despite the name. Mis matched eclectic furniture, cozy and comfortable. KID and DOG friendly. Lots of reasons to stop by, however the greatest being the owner! She's dee-lightful. Cup of coffee and a huge smile! Please check it out. You will not be disappointed. Such a gem. Bringing neighbours together. Ample parking across the street.

Was very disappointed that they were not yet open to indoor dining. The outdoor dining experience was not inviting. Perhaps an upgrade of a patio would significantly increase business. Paper cups just don't suffice when looking for a cozy little coffee shop. The baked goods were dry. I expected more. I certainly hope they will do better when they open the indoor experience.

Excellent! Best spot in the neighborhood hands down. The egg nog latte was amazing and the cafe had plenty of character. Didn't have the opportunity to try any of the snacks but they all looked delicious. Highly recommended!

I tried this coffee shop at the recommendation of a friend, unlike many other reviewers I don't live in the area or know the owners. I found the espresso-based drink quite bad, it was hard to taste any actual coffee in the beverage, just steamed milk. It reminds me of a latte that one would get at a church fundraiser and I was surprised to receive something like this at a dedicated coffee shop. Service through a window was neutral, certainly not friendly but not cold either. I didn't see the inside of the shop but if you are a coffee shop and can't make a good coffee, I don't see the point
