Amazing food from 1st to last bite. Fast and friendly service
My colleague brought doughnuts from here to work and they were delicious!! Very fresh. My favourite from here was the lemon:)
The best apple fritters I’ve had. Friendly staff the food looks good, will try the food next time
clean friendly donuts are excellant priced about 10 percent too high and training of staff required need additinal cash register to speed up service
I went the first time for the donuts (and was not disappointed), but I went back for the Pho and I was very impressed. Ordered the beef pho and it was a huge bowl, heavy on the beef for a very reasonable price. Service is still a little slow - they forgot to bring me cutlery & chopsticks for example, but they've only been open in the new format for a few weeks and they make up for it in friendliness. Have a feeling I'm going to be a regular here....
AMAZING donuts and even better service. I called to order 3 dozen donuts late in the afternoon, for pick up early the following morning. Not only were the donuts ready to go in such a short time frame - but they were still warm and incredibly fresh. We distributed them to our staff and everyone was asking me where they're from - saying things like "these are the best donuts i've ever had", and "i dont typically like baked goods but those are out of this world". Thank you very much, Grand Donut! We'll for sure be back! :)
Donuts are super fresh!! Had the Boston Cream and it was super good!!
Better then tim horton donuts
Love this place....best baked goods!
Amazing donuts
My husband and I found our new favorite spot for authentic Vietnamese Sandwich! Prices are really fair. They only take cash or debit. The charbroiled Pork was really tasty and the bread was amazing. I love how they actually have boxes for the sandwich. Other places I’ve been to, they only use paper bags. Next visit I have to ask if they have fresh Thai chili peppers to complete my Vietnamese sub. Definitely will be back to try the Lemongrass Steak sandwich.
This rating is actually 3.5 stars. The apple fritters are as great as customers claim. Very tasty, light dough and sweetened perfectly. The charbroiled pork sandwiches were good. It did not look like the pictures on their digital board. The bread was great along with the veggies. However the pork was not charbroiled and the meat was very scarce in the sandwich. The flavor was good though. I would come back for the donuts but not sure about the sandwich. My wife liked it but it was her first Vietnamese sub. I've had better in Vancouver, Calgary and abroad...
I had their chunky egg salad sandwich...wow..best egg salad I have ever had. Their poutine in not a regular poutine so don't expect to get cheese curds and gravy. I think they have to improve on that dish. The fries are excellent. Nice a crispy and soft in the center. The price is a bit high for what you get. They either have to increase the toppings or add in the curds and gravy. But I will definitely be going back to try more. The pho soup is probably next on the list.
Excellent donuts
Very first time there. The food is very tasty. I was surprised how big the sandwich was. And the egg rolls were also delicious. Friendly staff and prompt service. I'd go there again.
Pricy for a dozen but twice as good as the tiny Tim's donuts they try and push down our throats these days
20$ for assorted dozen, both regular style and jam busters. They looks so good you'll want a bite of everyone! You'll notice I only have 11 pictured but that's because we devoured it, that should speak for itself
Great coffee and donuts. Former Robin's Donuts.
OMG the apple fritters!!
An awesome cute owner, polite and fun, quirky staff and a selection of what doughnuts used to taste like with an in house baker and food made one heck of a lot better than most places. Try the vegetarian bahn mi with an iced vietmese coffee The crispy tofu is like well done bacon. Mind blown. This place deserves frequent visits. You'll love it
Delious and fresh donuts ..reminds me of Grandad's donuts in Ontario
We went there this evening to try their Vietnamese sub. We waited in line. Once it was our turn, an indian girl standing behind the counter was just staring at us. We asked if she could take our order. She mumbled and then walked away. There was an older vietnamese man behind the counter standing next to the computer. He immediately started taking the order for the guy standing behind us. We were completely ignored and unattended to for a few minutes. So we got fed up with waiting and left. Will not be back!
First time for us. I had a poh soup was tasty and a good portion. Friend had a tuna sandwich. Said it was the best she ever had. Had trouble understanding server. Made ordering a bit challenging.
This location has improved its quality control and I have had no issues on recent visits. $21 a dozen and $15 for a half dozen on writing this. Worth it for the freshness of the offerings.
The apple fritters here are probably the best in North America... Maybe even the world. Amazing.p
Bar none the best donuts and pastries! The apple fritters are the bomb the best I’ve ever had anywhere I buy them for friends all the time they love them. Do yourself a favour and give them a try.
One of the best bakeries in the cities, avoid trendy expensive donuts shops and shop at this local mom and pop.
$2 per donut and $21 per dozen and this is what you get. Donuts half covered and no filling at all. Supposed to be Choc filled donut all it had was a little drop of choc.what a waste of money.
GREAT DONUTS ????
Great quality donuts with all the favourite classic flavours. Good price point for the food offered. We'll be back!
This afternoon there were eleven of us for or usual Friday afternoon coffee and donut meeting. Usually there are only four of us (all cousins) to keep abreast of what is happening in our lives. We found the donuts fresher and tastier than Tim Horton’s, our only concern was the length of time it took to receive our coffee and the fact that they use 10% cream as opposed to 18%. We will go back again.
Food was delicious! Good portion size great price! The iced coffee I had was delicious as well! Well definitely go back!
Odd place. Donuts are very good. Salad rolls are big and clunky to eat. Peanut sauce is bland . good price for serving. Bbq poek rice dish was decent price. Again sauce was bland. The pork was really tasty. The fried egg on rice was good but the grill was not clean so bottom of egg was black. Not very appetizing. Slow service
Donuts are good, didn't enjoy the coffee. But to each their own.
Absolutely the BEST doughnuts I've had in years! Light, fluffy, delicious... Have not had one yet that was not superb. Love the takeout hot beverage cups and the fact that they are plain white and the lids are awesome too ... No spillage. I will be returning. Over and over again.
We first visited GrandDonuts last summer and immediately fell in love with the decor and the amazing bakery. I always get a bubble tea or iced coffee, and my dad raves about the apple fritters. A perfect place to recharge after a long bike ride.
Amazing donuts, super fresh. Great prices too
Oh, so good! Little bit pricey, but a quality product. We always stop in, when we come to the city
We went around 7:30pm and got two donuts (apple fritter and lemon filled) and tried their chicken banh mi and beef pho. Service was good and the place felt welcoming. The donuts were just okay, the apple fritter was really good but the lemon felt flat and had a subtle bitter aftertaste. We’ll try to come earlier when they open so we can taste them hot and fresh. The food was delicious! The banh mi was flavourful and filling. The pho was not the best, but I was surprised how good it was. All of this food plus one soda drink came out to less than $30! We were so full at the end. Thank you, we will be back!
Fantastic donuts, phenomenal sandwiches!
I had the lemon donut and it was?so fresh and delicious..
Turned down the wrong street and boy are we glad we did! The cinnamon fry and apple fritters were awesome! We'll definitely be back, earlier in the day next time so we can check out more of the donuts!
Every time I go the price increases by several dollars, despite the fact that they have never updated their menu online to reflect the price chance. When they first opened a 12 pack of donuts was $10, then about 6 months later it was $15, and now, its $20.89 !!!! So in the year and a half they've been oven the price of a 12 pack of donuts has MORE than doubled, despite the fact that nothing else in the cafe has changed, even with covid they havent added anything to the cafe to even justify such an enormous price increase. Ridiculous.
The best donuts, fav is chocolate icing with whipped cream inside....so fresh ????
I've driven past GrandDonuts several times and always thought I should give them a try. So I did. All those doughnut drive through giants need to take lessons from GrandDonuts on how to make donuts. Wow were their donuts ever good. Soft and tender and oh so tasty. I'll have to go back as they a selection of Banh MI sandwiches and other foods. If you're in the neighbourhood drop in and give GrandDonuts a try, I think you'll enjoy them! A LITTLE EXTRA! I was in the area a few days later and tried aBanh Mi. OMG What a great sandwich! First thing I noticed was the weight of this delight. The bun had a beautifully crispy crust and a so soft interior. It was a little spicy, a little sweet and stuffed full of tasty fillings. I will definitely be back for more!
Always excellent! We go for donuts and we go for the Vietnamese food. Can't go wrong either way. Great hours. Worth the trip from anywhere in the city and beyond.
If you think you've had a good apple fritter at other donut places, I urge you to have one from GrandDonuts. If you get one when they are fresh and warm, you will be ruined for all other apple fritters forever. They are absolutely the best I've had.
Really good salad rolls, bahn mi and doughnuts.
Food is awesome, had the Bahn Mi, donuts, and Noodle Bowls. Lots of flavour and generous. You can tell all the baking is nice and fresh. Only downside was that the service could be a bit better, though it's hard to tell if I just went at bad times or something.
Great place for quality doughnuts
Best donuts in winnipeg
OH MY WORD!! QUITE POSSIBLY THE BEST DONUTS EVER, THE BEST TASTING FRESHEST DONUTS I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE.... AND I'VE EATEN A LOT OF DONUTS!
Donuts are amazing and the pho is fantastic
Had the Veggie Pho, spring rolls and salad rolls. Everything was excellent. Service was prompt. Grabbed a couple donuts for later. The pastries are huge and made fresh. Definitely will go again. Highly recommended.
Great customer service. Donuts taste fresh with a wide variety to choose from. I recommend the Lemon grass steak banh mi. Delicious!!
A busy place but does not always get cleaned quickly
Amazing. From subs to donuts....omg must have
Great food, even better service. I ordered take out and when I went to pick up, I found out they only did cash or debit. I only had my credit card with me. They gave me my order and trusted me to come back and pay, which I did the next day. Rarely will you get service like that!!!!!
Awesome..
Great Vietnamese food
Their amazing Donuts might be sinful but their Vietnamese sandwiches and Pho are heavenly!
Great donuts! It's nice to have something that's not stale or frozen. They bake everything fresh daily here.
Extremely fresh and delicious banh mi sandwich!
Gonna go back!
A great cup of coffee and a nice retro coffee shop environment . Friendly staff.
This is another hidden gem if you're not from the area. Their donuts are top notch my fave is the apple fritter but you have to get here early because when they run out that's it. The pho is great as well. The staff are always pleasant and friendly. You can tell lots of repeat customers as well means something tastes good here. Shout out to the awesome customer that showed me the donut cakes they also make since she wad there for pickup. That's going to be my next purchase ???? AND yes you read it correctly donut cake ????
These are the best doughnuts I ever had. You must truly the cinnamon bun style doughnut.
Ok, so you want the best banh mi in the city? Well here it is! They've been sold out twice which was disappointing, but That won't stop me from going back there. Great hidden gem. Keep up the great work!
Have eaten donuts here a few times and they're always fresh and tasty. Their apple fritters are probably the best in the city, with real chunks of apple. They also have Vietnam sub sandwiches and soups, which look good, but I haven't tried them personally.
Wow , first time there, coffee was excellent and chocolate walnut crunchies and apple fritters were super fresh . This is a mandatory stop for great coffee and a delicious pastry.
Best donuts anywhere.
Great donuts and at a good pace. Will certainly go again.
Very good but expensive
Coffee, sandwich and donuts all delicious
We had their donuts for the first time today. These were some of the best donuts we've ever had.
The food is excellent but they do not seem very organized. Would be a solid 4 if not for the long wait.
"Think" they hired the wrong staff to work here. Storefront staff could not answer ANY of my questions. Being a Vietnamese restaurant you'd think they know what vermicelli is, or not take a solid 30 seconds to stare at the menu after being asked what a specific item on the menu was lol. What also questioned my decision to come here was that I asked who looked like the owner for hoisin sauce for my "salad noodle bowl", she then questioned WHY I WANTED HOISEN! Really? I just can't have hoisin with my vermicelli like I always do at every other Vietnamese restaurant I go to? Also the vermicelli was bland AND MISSING SO MUCH OF THE USUAL STUFF. Bahn Mi sandwich was soooo bland, missing the usual stuff as well. Doughnuts are overhyped. They're ok, but not great like everyone here thinks. Definitely won’t be returning.
Great donuts at a very reasonable price. Highly recommend!!!!!!
They have walnut crunch!!!!And Vietnamese subs and soups and bubble tea The staff are friendly. The decor is beautiful, bright, walls painted in teal blue.Only downfall was that it took an unusually long time to make a smoothie but they were training new staff and the smoothies are made with fresh fruit in season.
Great food. Good value for the money. Service was okay.
The donuts are amazing. Old school honest to goodness deep-fried donuts. They can be a little on the oily side sometimes but I think that's how donuts are supposed to be. I think people have become so accustomed to frozen premade donuts that they forget what a real donut is supposed to taste like. Their pho is okay not the best I've had but it hits the spot. I like their baogers which use a bao bun instead of a hamburger bun. The bahn mi / Vietnamese sandwiches are good too. I always hear a microwave or something that makes a "ding!" go off when I order the baoger or bahn mi which leads me to believe they are somewhat prepared ahead of time which I don't know how I feel about. I don't think all of the the items on the menu are available and never have been which is kind of annoying. One day when I went in during the pandemic it was a little crowded for my liking. The owners and often the employees don't have great English but they try their best, which doesn't bother me but if you're an impatient bigot you should probably steer clear.
Great donuts! Friendly service! Will be back to try their Vietnamese coffee and subs.
Amazing! Very cute shop but the quality and variety of donuts is awesome. 10/10 will be going back again. They are so good it has ruined any other donut shop for me.
Very good food, big portion size. Highly recommend
DELICIOUS! Absolutely amazing donut shop. 6.50 for two donuts and a large coffee. Donuts were warm and soft, so good. I had to order an apple fritter as well before I left. You've been warned, their pastries are addicting! Great little spot to meet someone and catch up. Can't wait to come back.
Very good donuts compared to the chain place's heat n serve ones
Robins Donuts is back!! Though operating under a different name the donuts are true. I’ve been going here for nearly 25 years and its exciting to know that after a year and a half hiatus it has returned and not just as a donut shop but as a Vietnamese cafe with other delicious menu items such as Viet styled subs, pho and noodle bowls. I haven’t yet sampled their other items but I can guarantee i’ll be back to try them. And yes the dutchie and walnut crunch are here and as tasty as ever!
They have good sandwiches, but very poor customer service and very slow....Disappointing
I’m new to Winnipeg and so glad I have a lovely local donut shop so close to home. We tried several donuts and couldn’t choose our favourite because they are so delicious. We also ordered Pho for dinner (odd combination to be good at pho & donuts) and it was amazing too. The servers were quick and friendly and complied with the new social distancing restrictions very well. Can’t wait to try their Vietnamese sandwiches!
20 min wait on a weekend, but totally worth it.
Wow, the freshest, most delicious donuts ever! Yes a bit pricey. But worth it. Jam filled donut ($1.89) and special yeast cinamon bun (huge) for $2.59. Super fresh and soft. Total $5.01 after adding in taxes (PST & GST) About $20 for a dozen donuts.
THE BEST DONUTS. Delicious, made fresh throughout the day, and pleasant service. Have yet to try other menu items, but the donuts won’t disappoint.
Bahn Mi and Pho is awesome!
Excellent apple fritters!
Awesome product!
You have never had a softer fluffier donut , guaranteed. Impressive ! And friendly customer service .
Great Vietnamese food.

Amazing doughnuts...best in Winnipeg!
Best doughnuts in the city.
Always happy I stopped by. I love the iced mocha, and the whipped cream filled donut. Cute space, short line, friendly staff.
Only had time to try the blueberry filled donut. Looking forward to trying lunch.
Amazing donuts. Noodle bowls have a unique flavour that is all there own. Can’t wait to be a regular customer.
Great food. Great service
Amazing variety. Such friendly service and great products!! A new regular place for us!!
Donuts were fresh and delicious. Around twenty varieties, too. Everything is priced right, and when you factor in friendly staff, a clean diner, and relaxed atmosphere, you can count on a positive experience here. I will be back regularly!
These are real donuts. I bought at 8 pm and it was all fresh. Haven't had a real donut in 15 years...
Great donuts. Friendly staff!
Best donuts ever. And Coffee too!
Awesome donuts! Finally donuts that actually taste like donuts.
Had the pork, steak and chicken bahn mi...they were awesome! The buns were soft and chewy, with just enough slaw and sauce. Yes, they all look the same but are different. Tie between pork and steak. They were out of cold cut and pate. ????
Best doughnuts in the city, hands down. Not talking about some fancy gourmet doughnut shop (no offence to those shops). These doughnuts are mostly regular flavors of doughnut, with some specialties flavors, made perfectly and fresh everytime.
Lemongrass steak sandwich was delicious!
Went in for donuts today. All the donuts, muffins and biscuits remind me of Robins Donuts, it’s so similar I had to check the store name to make sure I am not in Robins. These are real donuts that are deep fried rather than baked so I appreciate that. Their menu is huge with Vietnamese and western cuisine. I’m intrigued, will definitely return for their bahn mi and pho in the future. My only complaint was the lady behind the counter seems impatient. She keeps pestering us to order the second we walked in. They have to understand that if you provide a customer with a huge menu, inevitably first time visitors will take some time to digest it all. It’s annoying to be interrupted over and over again.
Oil that they fry with has a very strong taste. Donuts were fresh and toppings tasted great. CAUTION: Credit Cards not accepted. Debit and Cash only.
The store is located in the former Robins Donuts store. Parking is okay but access is very limited. One entrance one exit. This is a family run business. The people were very nice. The service was a little on this slow side. They only accept cash or debit. No tap and no Visa. The donuts that I purchased weren't anything special to me.
the best donuts i have ever had. better than luxury donuts downtown and they only cost $1
The donuts are fantastic! Fresh and home made.
I moved into a house within a 2 min drive of grand donuts, which can be a source of major temptation! Their apple fritters are probably my favourite donut, and The steak banh mi is important to try! They actually bake their own fresh subs, which not many have mentioned yet. GO!
Simple donuts, simply delicious. Some of the best in the city. You know it's good when people are willing to wait for a fresh batch.
bad customer service i have to wait 45 mns for my order and the owner is disrespectful towards her employees. lots of yelling inside. the owner said it took our order too long because it was made fresh? what? 45 mins for a rice with chicken. poor cashier the owner blames her for what happened. food is bad too cold. i did not order cold cuts for sure. cleanliness inside the kitchen who knows even the owner doesn't have respect towards her customers what more towards her employees. goodluck to the place. i'm not coming back again. yelling inside the kitchen at the same time at the counter n towards the customers
The donuts taste exactly like the way the donuts tasted from Robins donuts. Not worth the price. Nothing spectacular about these donuts, in fact you could taste the oil.
Donuts here are always delicious and super fresh. I've been in a few times and the people there are always super friendly. Every donut I've tried has been super good, this place never disappoints!
The Boston cream donut is to die for
Donuts and Vietnamese. Amazing and very affordable.
Surprising quality of doughnuts. Seems the spirit of Robin's still lives here.
The donuts are baked in house. I'm partial to apple fritters, but only if the have actual chunks of apple. Unlike the chains who use apple sauce these are the real deal. Their walnut crunch are also amazing. We haven't had all their flavours but they look quite good and the onea we have tried are always fresh.
Fantastic donuts at very reasonable prices!! Everyone I have recommended this shop to loves it!
Very clean place, donuts are better than Tim's and fresh.
Quiet coffee shop, great wifi
Best donuts in the city
So good and fresh. If you like donuts you have to try these.
I didn't have high expectations but I sure was impressed. I had the Saigon cold cut and Beef Pho. I can't believe how good it was. I would never of step food in this place but my parents took us there as a last minute thing and I will definitely come back. If your looking for a place to have some Pho on a cold day in the East Kildonan area. You gotta check this place out.
I ordered a doughnut cake for my son’s birthday. So different and unique. We loved it. ❤️
Best donuts in the city!
The donuts were so fresh and delicious!!!
Found maltiple hairs on and in my donut I don’t feel comfortable eating it, was a poor attempt at socially distancing tryed to make me go right next to a stranger felt unsanitary I asked if the had a vanilla donut and they kinda mumbled and didn’t answer do not recommend
Service
Great doughnut ????
Had a fritter today, it was amazing..
The best doughnuts in the city and its not even close.
The donuts here are delicious! Both the cake and yeast options are great. We tried the chocolate dip, sugar twist, chocolate filled, and cinnamon sugar. All were fantastic! The staff is friendly and the atmosphere was relaxed. We'll definitely be back again soon!
Very very slow. Waited 15 mins for coffee and she told us that “it takes time”
We came to check out this place on Thanksgiving Day so there was a bit of a wait to receive our take out order. We ordered donuts, beef pho, and the Saigon cold cut banh mi. Donuts were pretty awesome, soft and pillowy, large and flavourful. The beef pho broth was very good and the portions were large. We did take out but they didn't include the fixings that pho usually comes with (bean sprouts, Thai mint, lime) but the meat and broth made up for it. So make sure you ask! And the Vietnamese sub was pretty good but unfortunately they used ham instead of Chả lụa so that was a bit of a let down, however the bread and pate were very good so somethings' gotta give for the price. All in all, I would return for the pho and donuts.
Awesome Vietnamese sandwiches at a good price
Amazing donuts.
The food is excellent. Recommend.
Really good food!
I had heard that this donut shop in my neighborhood masqueraded as a pretty stand-up Vietnamese restaurant but that they didn't promote that side of the business too much. I popped in for lunch one day and sure enough there are Vietnamese restaurant items on the side menu. Not a lot but some key players. I ordered a pork banh-mi or charbroiled pork sandwich and was immediately impressed with what I got. The bread was really good French bread with lots of pull and crunch. It was loaded with pork but I don't think it was charbroiled, it seemed more like roasted. But it was tender and flavorful. The veg was perfect julienned carrots with cabbage, cucumber and peppers with cilantro and a great dressing. I'll be back again to try another dish for sure. Totally impressed.
It was here, as a Robin's Donuts, that I first discovered the legendary donut known as the "Ghostbuster". The new incarnation of this restaurant is an excellent successor to Robin's and provides delicious bakery options with friendly staff. Thankfully, the Ghostbuster still lives here in all it's whipped cream glory! Go check it out!
The people here are super nice and friendly and the donuts are amazing and fresh i also tried there beef pho and the bbq chicken sandwich and there both delicious i plan on coming back here alot and would recommend to anyone
Great sandwich
The only place in Winnipeg to get a dutchie by far the best donut, try some. But if the improved their coffee quality they will have a diamond in the ruff.
awesome vietnamese banh my taste. What u get for the price is surprisingly good, lots of meats.
Wonderful donuts! The lemongrass beef bowl was excellent as well as the beef sandwich. Will be back!
Great service, awesome food. Best donuts I've had in a while. The food is a little pricey, bigger portions would be nice. Overall a nice experience. Would recommend.
Veg banh mi was amazing (and huge!!!!) and the donuts were great as well! Huge variety. Staff were very sweet. I'm looking forward to my second visit.
Some of the best doughnuts in the city. The fritters are fluffy and the whipped cream fillings are wonderful!
Everytime I have ever gone there.... there is maybe 3 different types of donuts left. Even bright and early in the morning when they open up. I give up trying! They need to keep up with supply and demand. Totally disappointing.
Friendly staff, clean and inviting atmosphere. The doughnuts are great but the real treat is the food. The lemongrass beef noodle salad is fantastic. Fresh, tasty and the portion is really big. Will become a regular stop
It's a very nice family run business. The doughnuts are very good and the cafe area seems to be nice and clean.
Have tried a few different doughnuts and the charbroiled pork sandwich - really impressed with everything!
Best tuna sandwich I've ever had
Really good apple fritters and the salad was good also
Great donut ❤️
Fantastic donuts! Very delicious. They taste like Robins donuts recipe but they were baked to perfection. They have a wide variety of menu items (I haven't tried yet). The service was good but it is a new store so they are still trying to find their groove. Will definately go back.
I Am a fuss pot when it comes to doughnuts and this place has the best doughnuts in Winnipeg
Really like their Vietnamese salad bowls and apple fritters. Unfortunately always difficulty ordering ahead... Even when I call and they tell me 15 minutes I get there and they just start making it. seems to be a bit of the language barrier, but good food, love the make over from Robin's donuts, colours remind me of a 50s diner.
I'm Gunna rate this a 1 star because I can't put a thubs down, wasn't at all pleased with their service, donuts are very oily, Staff is rude and owner isn't very friendly either, don't recommend this place and to top It off went there and a staff member wasn't wearing face mask. Heard the owner give staff a hard time, definetly not someone I would work for and not someone who should be running a business, also know previous emoyees from there and not a single good word about the owner of this place. Think twice before applying there people.
This is the go-to donut place for my wife and myself. The prices are very fair and the donuts are absolutely amazing!! There's nothing fancy or elaborate about their products and that's why I love it!
Great donuts!
After travelling for months in Vietnam, I was delighted to stumble upon this place in Winnipeg. The vietnam food is awesome. Don't sleep on the lemongrass steak Bahn Mi... it's the best in the city.
This place is NICE
Yo those donuts are straight Fire
Donuts are Delicious, still deep fried, they have a variety of selections, will definitely be back ????
They have the best apple fritter and walnut crunch I have ever tasted it is super delicious everyone has to try it you won't regret it.
Ooooh sooooo gooood. I've only had some of their donuts, but every single experience has been nothing but amazing. Fresh donuts, friendly staff. They have 'ghostbuster' donuts (Boston cream but filled with whipping cream) which not many places have anymore in Wpg. So PLS don't take them off the menu.
Heard good things about this place from a few people - they were right! Ordered the beef pho - to go and 6 donuts. The pho was still hot after my 35 minute drive home. Generous portions of soup with beef, noodles and bean sprouts. It was AMAZING! The donuts were a different story - I had half of a chocolate walnut one and although the donut itself was tasty, the oil it was cooked in must not have been fresh. Unfortunately, this old/rancid oil taste made it unable to finish. I would most certainly go back for the pho!
Great place. The pho is fantastic, and the donuts are so fresh and delicious. Will definitely go back!!????
Used to be a Robin's. Seems like they changed the decor but the donuts are the same. Personally never a fan of Robin's donuts. Ordered a cappuccino ended up having to get a premixed mocha. Less than impressed. The staff were friendly though. ✌????
The best donuts!
Prices are pretty decent... doughnuts are lite n oh so good...u can tell they are not mass produced. My new favorite doughnut place. Havent tried the rest of the menu as of yet...but I will be.
Hands down biggest bang for your buck in the city for Winnipeg. Then the iced coffee is amazing. A must try.
You can get ridiculously delicious doughnuts, killer Vietnamese food, and order your Birthday cake all in one go. One of my favourite places to treat myself!
Their Pho and Bahn Mi is amazing
Great place! I'm s regular customer
Best donuts, very friendly staff.
All of the donuts and jam/cream busters I've tried here have been delicious - fresh and very tasty. They also serve a nice selection of Vietnamese food, including several varieties of pho, and some North American items as well, and a variety of juices.
Nice clean place
Best Donuts!
All time favorite donut shop in Winnipeg. My wife and I will always make a special trip when were in from AB.
OMG!!! These donuts were to die for! Best we have found so far in the city! Fresh, pillowy, melt in your mouth! The spring rolls are delicious too! Hot and fresh! Wish they had another location closer to the west end!
Love their fresh donuts. Their lemongrass bahn mi is good. The bread for the bahn mi is perfect! Soft but crusty on the outside. Please don’t change that. Their bahn mi is also different from the others I’ve tried. Maybe it’s the veggies in it? I’m used to more of the pickled veggies like cucumbers, carrots, cilantro and daikon etc on it. Maybe replace the cabbage and onions in the classic cold cut one and put those common pickled veggies? Either way it’s good! We will be in again.
Fresh lovely dounuts
The food is great and the doughnuts are amazing! Everything is priced very reasonably
Ordered the pho for takeout and will definitely be returning for more. Portion sizes were large, chicken and vegetables were plentiful in each respective order, and the broth was delicious!
Great doughnuts and a pretty decent pho soup.
I did not know what a doughnut was until I tried this place: light, fluffy, yeasty and fresh any time of day I'm there. I can't even fathom going to Tim's anymore. I will literally drive halfway across the city when I'm craving a Grand doughnut.
Great Vietnamese food! And the donuts are unreal
Best donut in pegcity
CRAZY GOOD DONUTS!
So fresh it's like the donuts were made minutes before I walked in. Service also was amazing.
Better doughnuts than Robin's. Well done. We tried some of the Vietnamese menu items and they were all excellent: spring rolls, beef pho, beef Vietnamese salad. I asked about peanuts due to an allergy and they assured me that the only item is peanut sauce in the vegetable rolls, which are made separately away from other items. So I'm fairly confident in the lack of cross-contamination. They were awesome and patient at answering all of my peanut-related questions. Thanks for the comeback after Robin's! I was sad to see it close, but happy there's something similar in its place. UPDATE: They can't seem to get phone orders right! Twice in two days I ordered food. Both days I was asked to wait an hour. Yesterday they forgot one of the items. Today they forgot the entire order. Their service is unreliable. Reduced to two stars.
I was honestly quite surprised by how delicious and fresh these donuts were. We walked in and the donuts shelves were pretty empty except for 6 or so cake donuts, 1 honey dip, and 2 Boston creams. We decided to go with the honey dip and Boston creams. The donuts were fresh and soft and pillowy and just perfect. My parents said it reminded them of the donuts from their childhood. I will for sure be back.
Excellent service and products.
Meal type
First time here and swore will be back. Great fresh tasting donuts.
I really love this place. Their baking is fantastic, but so is the rest of their menu (sandwiches, Vietnamese options etc.). Their coffee is good too.
Pretty good Korean food here, unexpected but a pleasant surprise.
I used to visit this location when it was a Robins Donuts. I was sad to see it change as I truly enjoyed the donuts however, when I went in to try the new donuts I was very pleased. They are similar to the donuts from Robins but very fresh. They were flying off the shelf before they could put more out. I was happy to see the success they were having with the new business venture. The donuts were warm and very delicious. I will be back soon.
Great apple fritters
Great donuts and cinnamon buns
Got a donut cake for my birthday and it was the best thing ever, I highly recommend this place!
This is a must try especially the apple fritters!
Freshest doughnuts and apple fritters I ever had.
Food is fine. The bread is always cold. Serving is slow.
Great donut and coffee is good.
These Donuts are some of the best I've tasted! Thank you for providing delicious, fresh, affordable yummies! Can't wait to come back.
This was the 1st time I had a chance to come here as I live on the other side of the city. I got there ta around 8:15 pm and was pleasantly surprised to see they had quite a few varieties of donuts available even at that hour. I had read all the good reviews and was not disappointed by the donuts, beautiful and oh so delicious... The lady behind the counter was very helpful in explaining the different types of Donuts... I'm kinda glad to be living so far away or else I would be coming here a lot ????
Great place, great people, great donuts, overall great
Freshest donuts I've ever had!
Best donuts in Winnipeg by far! Vietnamese food is also really good. Highly recommend !!
Best donuts in the city
Best Homemade donuts!!
Great fresh donuts! Coming back to try their other food for sure!
Best donuts in town!
The donuts and bubble tea were great
Excellent donuts from a local company, not an American chain.
Possibly the best beef Pho in Winnipeg! Their pork belly burger was delicious and their donuts were quite tasty. The only downside was they were out of taro bubble tea. Will definitely be a repeat customer.
The best baked goods for miles! Always fresh and delicious
I have not tried any of their savoury dishes yet, but I do enjoy their donuts.
Friendly, fast service, and amazing apple fritters!
Excellent donuts.
My go-to place for donuts. Always fresh, affordable and tasty.
Not just a delicious donut shop, because they also offer Vietnamese cuisine. Vegetarian options available.
Wow, who would have thought that a place called Grand Donuts Cafe & Bakery would have such delicious Vietnamese pho and bahn mi! They also have very tasty fresh donuts for your sweet tooth!
Great food! Dinurs are fresh and pho was amazing. They are under staffed though so it takes a while and are often out of menu items
Great donuts, the best I have had in Winnipeg. Would recommend you try. Even the food was great.
Bought banana nut muffins and they were dry and tasteless. The donuts were good but overpriced. I guess this is due to covid19.
Food is good but consistency isnt.
Best donuts and the beef pho soup was delicious. I enjoyed the blended coffee.
Best Apple fritters
Beautiful, delicious, fluffy doughnuts. Friendly staff.
They were our favorite donut place to go too. Great donut at a fair price. Me and my wife went on Canada day the prices went up again but are still reasonable for good fresh donuts. Except this time thet weren't we ordered a box with 4 different kinds and they were all terrible. They were either super oily and not made properly or dried right out. We threw out half of them out which we have never done before. Either retrain or get rid of whoever made the donuts yesterday. We want you guys to survive and do well. I have to give a one star for now because they were really that bad sorry guys.
Tried this place for the first time. The Chicken Pho noodle soup and salad rolls were awesome! The spring rolls were the best I have ever had. Ofcourse there were donuts for dessert and they were so fresh and special. Highly recommend trying this little gem of a restaurant!
Excellent coffee and apple fritter
Bahn Mi sandwich was excellent. One of the best donuts in the city.
Awesome donuts, love the apple fritters! Always fresh and lots of selection.
Excellent food and very affordable prices
Best apple fritters and walnut crunch donuts around. Pay half of the price of a bro nuts donut and in my opinion better!
Very fresh donuts
The staff are super friendly but the donuts are nothing great. They taste the same as the robins donuts. They also have a a selection of thai food that is okay, it’s the best in the area but not the greatest in the city.
Great fresh made
Not normally a cream filled donut fan but I always get the Boston Cream and the whipped cream filled donuts from here! I appreciate having a donut place close to home that isn't the typical Tim Horton's. Their apple fritter is A+ as well!
Seems like all they did was clean up the Robin's that was there. Not easily accessible.
Very good donuts
Long wait because the staff are arguing in the back. And everyone else here can hear them - so offputting. Mass confusion between servers and kitchen staff and it's affecting the simple orders they're getting (there's only 3 other tables here right now).
I went into Grand Donuts this morning and wow the best donuts I ever had! They were so fresh and delicious! In an earlier post someone said they don't accept the tap on debit cards I used my tap today. Staff was so friendly I'll be going back for sure.
Tremendous bakery. Exquisite donuts
Pho was excellent and flavorful. Donuts are amazing!!!
Best apple fritters in town
Great donuts!!!!
Lemongrass Steak Sandwich was AMAZING!!!! Highly recommend! Will definitely become a weekly spot for us!
Excellent Donuts and good coffee to go with it. Will go back and try a sandwich soon.
Large size donuts you can tell and taste its homemade and and not processed at all would like to try there pho soup at another time
Great coffee, super fresh donuts, and delicious bahn mi! The bahn mi was very tasty and they are generous with the portions. The owners are super friendly and kind. There is a decent amount of seating inside if you decide to dine in, and the prices are very reasonable. We'll definitely be returning customers.
Friendly service, the apple fritter donut they have is amazing! The Pho was very good as well but - the chicken was very dry in the pho unfortunately. Still worth it :) we will be back!
Great service.... about the best donuts in town!!! ????????
Yummy vietnamese specialities and tasty, soft, fresh REAL (not made from frozen) donuts. All kinds of yes!
Fantastic fresh donuts, that melt in your mouth they’re so fresh! The Viet food is equally amazing and very reasonably priced. Try the Lemongrass beef noodle bowl or sub, very generous portions of meat, you’ll thank me later! Thanks for bringing great Viet food and desserts to the neighbourhood!
100% would recommend! Staff was welcoming and very helpful. The donuts were delicious - we had the lemon fritter and walnut crunch ????????
The best doughnuts & coffee ????????☕????
Pho is decent and tasty, would prefer to have more cilantro and basil. Going to try the bahn mi next time. Had an apple fritter, which was fantastic. I usually get those large ones from 7-11, these are very tasty and great with black coffee. Nice atmosphere, looks nicer updated but has kept the old familiar (comforting, nostalgic?) Robins Doughnuts feel to it. I miss the ghost busters, didn’t see any. Hope to see them in the future. Update tried the rest of the doughnuts, it was fresh and godamnit it was great.
Great donuts and cafe drinks. FYI they serve Vietnamese food and it's good too!
The food is very good. Ordered beef phở and charbroiled pork noodles and they are very good. Ordered a dozen doughnuts for $9.99 and its' one of the most amazing doughnut per price I had. The bubble tea is passable (please have it with bigger straw for the bubbles/jelly). The service can be improved. Overall, I will be back for the Vietnamese deli/sandwich.
Excellent donuts to be had here but the real surprise was the locally made Vietnamese food! Super tasty and fairly priced.
Awesome Pho!
Easily the BEST donuts in Winnipeg. To the people complaining that they cost too much: Go to Tim Hortons if you want to save 50 cents and choke down their mass factory made (from Ontario) donuts that are warmed up in an easy bake oven. I’d rather pay a little more and enjoy the glory that is Grand’s apple fritter or whipping cream filled donuts. Mmmmm
Delicious donuts at a fair price. I'm excited to try the food
Pretty good donuts. Definitely better than Tim Horton's fare. Reasonable prices and friendly service, too. Would definitely recommend stopping by. They aren't like Bronuts or the like in terms of strange concoctions. Just good, classic donuts.
Awesome baked goods
Donuts here are awesome ????
Friendly staff and excellent donuts
Tried almost all the donuts here and they are delicious. I'm happy I don't have to go far to get Banh Mi. Love the atmosphere and great staff.
Donuts are way better than tims
I enjoyed the coffee & muffin, the atmosphere was wonderful & we got to take a peek at a fancy cake
good coffee
Friendly service, if you haven't tried Vietnamese coffee I highly recommend you do
