Dealing With Delta

This place is always fantastic and the food has been sublime for years, and still probably is I reckon. But... man I'll tell ya, when they updated it and renovated it lost all its vibe for me. They should have left it the way it was, would have retained that older traditional relaxing coziness. The menus have pictures on them last I checked. I haven't lived here in almost 10 years but I visited 2 years ago and was shocked about these changes. Most people it won't be a big deal to them and that's perfectly fine, it's still an amazing pizza and great meal. But geez someone should have vetoed that idea to drastically change the interior like that. Should have kept the rug and old chairs/tablecloths!

It would not be fair eating their food and not leaving a good review! I spent the night in kenora and was looking for a comfy and delicious food to delivery at the hotel where I stayed in. I was not expecting this fantastic meal! I ordered the lasagna + roasted pepper soup. OMG!!! Soup was really flavourful (absolutely recommend), but the lasagna was another level of deliciousness! I am a Italian food lover and I guarantee you - you won’t regreat! Love, love and love! That’s a pity that I am leaving this charming town tomorrow or I would try the entire menu! Thank you for the food! ❤️

Everything I've tried is amazing. I'm slowly crushing my way through their menu. The goat cheese app is simple and understated and melts in your mouth. I loved their Godfather pizza; authentic taste and perfect amount of toppings so that it's not hard to eat. Another time, i had the Chicken Manicotti (ground seasoned chicken stuffed in a manicotti shell) and I've never tasted anything like it. You can taste the time it took to make it. Ristorante is a restaurant I will be taking friends and family to when they visit for sure. The service is professional and friendly, and the music really sets the tone.

Everything we ordered was excellent. The star was the Pescatore. Seriously order it! Some had greek salad, some had ceaser, both were great but one had their cream of cauliflower soup with dill and it was rich and creamy. Highly recommended.

Looks and smells wonderful when you walk in. Service is prompt and helpful. Caesar salad is pretty tasteless with tons of parmesan that is also tasteless and plasticy. Fettuccine Alfredo was okay, a little overcooked and also not alot of flavour. Chicken was very good. My hubby had ravioli and it had a very strange smoky flavour, almost inedible. Chicken also very good that was added. Service was great and very fast. Not sure if it's worth it to come back.

Love this place. Everything is always amazing and they are very accommodating to gluten-free diners. Usually go with a GF Pizza (Godfather, Italian Classic) or Greek Salad for lunch.

Dirty dishes, confused servers, our 3rd server was rude by questioning us about the amount of food I was ordering for my son off the kids menu, crazy expensive prices, 5/10 tasting food, all wrapped up located in the most scary part of kenora surrounded by homeless people and drug dealers. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!

Food was great but we were treated terribly by our server. We were served our entree at 15 minutes apart. I had to ask for a refill on my coffee and she brought me a water, had to ask two more times for coffee. After the food was dropped off we never saw her again, had to go and look for our own condiments at the waitstaff shelves. She was very attentive to the group or older ladies behind us. It was not busy when we were there.

I recently ordered take out from this restaurant I ordered the New York steak with garlic mushrooms sauteed onions and a shrimp screw and I also ordered the fettuccine alfredo with an added grilled chicken breast and I also got the muscle marinara to start with a side of minestrone soup. The food was absolutely delicious my steak I asked for rare and it was perfect the mussels were some of the best mussels I've ever had period and the minestrone soup was phenomenal I highly would recommend ordering from this place the portions were filling and you will not be left disappointed.

My husband and I finally got to try out this place and we were not disappointed! I had the Chicken Parmesan with spinach and feta risotto. My husband had spaghetti with scallops and shrimp skewers. Service was great and atmosphere was nice. A few tables around us were a bit noisy but this was due to large groups celebrating birthdays. We will be back again!

I cannot stress enough how good my meal was. The servings are huge, The ravioli carbonara is amazing, and the tiramisu is decadent. If you're traveling for work and want a home made Italian dinner instead of the usual burger garbage, this is the place to go. I will for sure come again next time I'm in town, thanks folks for the amazing meal.

Strip loin was completely over seasoned, was way to salty and made it difficult to enjoy the cut of meat itself... Service was good, salad good but I am a firm believer in the meat not the seasoning being the focus of my meal

T;DR: Fine if it is quiet but don't bother when it is busy. Management needs to notify potential customers when they are no longer accepting take-out orders instead of muting their phones and ignoring callers. The food is good but customer service is bad. If it is busy they just mute their phones and refuse to answer. They don't accept voice-mail orders. No online order system. They don't post on Facebook or Instagram that they are full or not taking orders. They are unapologetic and downright rude if you make the mistake of going in to try and order when calling goes straight to voice-mail. Please COMMUNICATE with customers, post on Facebook and Instagram if you are too busy to accept orders. UPDATE YOUR VOICEMAIL when you cannot accept any more orders. If someone walks in and you are unable to take their order maybe don't be rude? Also why do so few places in Kenora offer online orders / delivery? You don't even have to do it yourselves. Just set up door dash or whichever.

Ordered 2 pizzas to our hotel on a tuesday. Was told it would be 45mins, 1hour 30mins later it shows up. The pizzas were incredibly average for almost $30 a pizza... should have ate in and tried their pasta

For some reason my other review has been deleted so i will repost as best as i can. We stopped in kenora while we we're passing through and ate here because of the 5 star rating on this site at the time. Our waitress was Judy and she was absolutely awesome. I could not believe how great of service we had, i felt like i was the queen in the restuant haha! We were in the restaurant for a total of 48 minutes. We had all of our food and under 38 minutes and it was all hot and fantastic. She came just in time with everything! The pictures show justice. I had said in my last post that we will definitely be driving the 1.5 hours to come back here and we did the next day. The following is my post from the day after. well, we drove the extra 1.5 hours the day after we went through Kenora just to stop at this restaurant again and eat supper. Our waitress was absolutely amazing, I didn't catch her name this time. There was some gentlemen with ugly attitudes in the restaurant making a scene that our waitress was not good enough, we thought she was absolutely fantastic in every single way. She was fast with our food, kind, talkative, and very polite. Our food was once again amazing and will probably be making a trip very shortly again and next time I'm going to bring my son as well.

Portion sizes are huge. Lots of options for everyone - vegetarian and GF options available. Service is a little slow because the place does get quite busy. They also do take out. On the pricier end for food in Kenora but good food.
