Here we offer you the opinions of real people like you who buy the products of Kawartha Coffee Company + EL PATIO (Coffee Shop) in the territory of Kawartha Lakes (Canada).
At this moment the firm has a rating of 4.1 stars out of 5 and the score was based on 127 reviews.
As you can read, the average of ratings is positive, and it's founded on a very large number of feddbacks, so we may say that the assessment is quite faithful. If people have bothered to leave their feddback when they've done well with the service, is that it works.
As you know, we don't usually stop to put feddbacks when these are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Coffee Shop belongs to the category of Restaurant.
Best fresh food in town, nachos are on point. Not those bagged bar nachos.
Absolutely loved the nachos. Hipsterly inattentive service though.
Great coffee and treats, licensed, great patio.
Haven't been here, but i seen a review a friend posted on Facebook on how he couldn't get a coffee, and the owners reply was "if you wanted a coffee timmies is down the street". Are you for real?!?! It's literally in your name Kawartha "COFFEE" Company, and you have the nerve to be ignorant to a paying customer on you're review section. The review section is for you to get positive and negative reviews, so you know your strengths and weaknesses and learn how to better your business and the experience of you're customers, i've never been here and never will, rest assured I will be spreading the word for others not to go, but rather bring "timmies" down the road the business!
Very busy, limited menu. Food was delicious, however. Tables were probably more than 6 ft apart but it was still quite crowded. Atmosphere was great, very tropical.
Enjoyed tacos and margarita. Friendly staff as well had a great chat with owner Kathleen
Just like a comfy small town starbucks
Best cappuccino ever!!!
Lovely atmosphere with large outdoor area, friendly servers. Not the cheapest place but worth it! Try the tacos if you like Mexican. Great place just for drinks too. We'll definitely be back to try more.
Friendly staff, but don't go here for your coffee or frappés. Watered down and greasy. Better off getting something from Tim's.
Lunch on a warm early September afternoon was lovely. Had two Thursday taco special (3 for $10) which were excellent. Beef was a bit tastier than chicken; we did not try the veggie (black bean). The margarita special ($6) was well made and nicely tart. Outdoor seating was well shielded from the sun, and very comfortable. Extra Bonus- Naz, former chef at Nolan's in Fenelon, stopped by to say hello, and to bring us up to date on their two (formerly) little boys. She was charming as usual, and gratefully accepted our praise for her taco concoctions. You've gotta try this special place!
Very nice atmosphere, the food is great and the staff are very pleasant. One of my favorite places in the Kawartha Lakes!
One of the best coffee places that I have ever been. Great interior and coffee!
A must-do if you're in the area. Great place to sit down and grab a drink & grub after walking through the town on a hot day. Beyond stoked to visit this summer with the covid restrictions finally beginning to lift ????
Came here on the long weekend and the staff were great, food was amazing, and prices to portion sizes were good as well. I would reccomend this place.
The food is fantastic. They are taking all safety precautions seriously .They are welcoming .The food is fantastic. El patio burger is great and the hangover poutine is incredible. Plenty of cold drinks
Fantastic coffee!!!
great atmosphere! awesome staff and amazing food!!
My my favorite things in one place: great coffee ☕ yummy baked goods ???? Mexican Food???? and an eclectic Mexican inspired patio and bar ????????????
El Patio has great potential, but was a bit disappointing overall. Of most concern was staff's almost universal refusal to wear masks. When asked, they informed us that management doesn't require it. As a patron, in the current environment, I want anyone getting close enough to me to serve me food to be masked. Food on the whole was decidedly average. Even if the food was exceptional, I wouldn't return until their Covid protocols change.
We paid 80 for a family of 4 with drinks and a beer. Tacos were excellent, pico and nachos were pretty basic and a very small serving of pico. Kids got Pogos, hard to miss there. Husband's chicken sandwich seemed to be a higher quality frozen breaded chicken. Definitely not freshly battered (nor does it claim to be). Small servings of fries compared to other restaurants. Lots of local beers, available several on tap. There were a couple of people working front of house not wearing masks. I don't know what the bylaws are for this area, just an observation.
Amazing, eclectic & cozy decore. Top notch coffee & treats. Local, craftbeer available & made-from-scratch, local fare. #recco
Great ambiance but the food was ok. $$$$
Great food ..great music ..great people .....will be back
Never fails for great coffee, baked goods or a tasty burrito...
Great atmosphere.
Food was fresh and delicious. The setting very relaxed and fancy at the same time. Loved the eco friendly touch.
I'm in Bobcaygeon for 2 or 3 weeks every couple of years. This is my regular coffee stop. Great food too.
I was thinking of visiting this place today, but after sifting through several reviews I was horrified to see comment after comment from the OWNER confronting people about their bad experience at the establishment! What an absolutely bad look! If this is the owners attitude over the Internet, I can only imagine how the service is in person!
Food is AMAZING!! Great staff and an all together amazing place.
Loved coming here in the summer .. great Mexican food, and can’t beat a corona in the hot sun!
Not happy with this place! The one good thing they had was the coffee service was not the best we had to ask for out cream and sugar for the coffee! We ordered 2 sandwich and was told they only had enough for one! (We had to share it) and ordered a salad which the letuse was not washed! We are all very disappointed as I was told they were good!
Terrible service when we ate on the patio here. We were the first ones there and it took a very lot time for the server to see us. Then our drinks order did not arrive, and we had to remind them about it after our food arrived. No apologies about it, just an excuse about how they were short staffed and the computer was down. The food was decent but definitely overpriced for what you get. Wouldn’t recommend.
Thank you so much for having a plant based option❤ your kitchen wasn't open yet so I grabbed a smoothie and started checking other establishments for something plant based/vegan and there was only 1 other restaurants that had a veggie burger. I waited it out to order from you. In allot of cases a business has to want to make a vegan option available, and it was easy to see by the caliber of the vegan dishes that you wanted to provide that for your community. Thank you so very much, it was delicious!
New location as of 2018. Outdoor space is amazing. Same awesome coffee and butter tarts make it a destination. Staff are lovely. - the free wi-fi lets you be productive while enjoying the kawarthas!
Very cool place with interesting decor and internet cafe upstairs.
Amazing Food
Food was good, atmosphere was fun but, unfortunately, service was very slow but the pandemic likely had something to do with it.
Had a great dinner last night. Atmosphere was very authentic Mexican. Food was fabulous and the staff were very friendly, providing excellent service. Will definitely go back again.
Popped in here for a morning cup of Joe. Friendly girl behind the counter and the coffee was great!
Really cute location. Walk up service for the most part so it's quick, and weekly karaoke. It is primarily outside so I'm not sure how it works in winter.
Great, friendly service and a good selection of beverages on tap. The ambience and environment are what make El Patio unique and it's perfect for any type of crowd. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed!
More than just a coffee shop. Great food & craft beer!
Lovely place to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee
Awesome Coffee Shop with Spectacular Cinnomony Butter Tarts
We spend a week in Bobcaygeon every summer and can't wait to visit this place nearly every day we're there. Great coffee, atmosphere and staff
Great spot to visit in Bobcaygeon, always busy and happening spot. Pet friendly, we brought our Sheltie and they set up a bowl of water for him. Ordered Fish/Chicken Tacos and nachos, everything was amazing. Had a couple of drinks to unwind on a Saturday afternoon. Staff were fantastic and the owner was very friendly and made sure everything was great, she did a great job engaging in conversation. Would recommend and glad it's only a boat ride away!
A very nice coffee shop which I believe also serves beer (I only had coffee) and light food. A pretty cool spot with a large outdoor patio area for sunny days. A little pricey compared with standard coffee fair but this would be more comparable to something like a Starbucks or Juan Valdez.
I saw a post on their instagram page with misleading information saying a bunch of stuff about grocery store shortages and vaccines and truckers and whatever, and I commented explaining what the situation going on at one store was that they …
Great atmosphere, lively music, ZERO customer service! We were shown to a table and waited 22 minutes...no service, so we walked out. 1 star is even too much.
Been here in the summer also. Great cozy coffee house. Tried cappuccino. Good.
I drove almost 2 hours to get away from Toronto people and Toronto prices but it seems like they followed me here. $7 beer was a bit of an eyeopener. I did like the different takes of butter tarts they had, coffee was my favourite.
Heard a lot of good things about this place so my wife and I decided to check it out on a Sunday morning. The place was empty but the ambience was nice. Looks like a nice cozy place to hang out. There was a young gentleman manning the counter who barely acknowledged us, even after I mentioned that this was our first time there. You'd think he might've told us more about the place. He looked like he didn't wanna be there or have anything to do with us. I ordered a medium latte, which came out to over 6 dollars and the cup was only 3/4 full. The coffee was good but not worth that much. Thoroughly disappointed.
Ice cream is great but if you order a cone in drive thru it comes in a dish with the come on top. Wth?
Their karaoke nights are legendary. Great eats too!
Boom! Great coffee, great atmosphere, friendly staff... It doesn't get any better than this for a cottage country coffee shop!
I always get a brownie or s'more bar if I can!
I had a great time tonight with my coworkers just wish I could of stayed longer
Fantastic place to eat and just sit back and relax. Friendly staff, and super dog friendly too
We visited EL Patio for lunch today. I was was pleasantly surprised. There were 3 plant based items on the menu. Thanks for offering them. So many restaurants don't even have one. My meal was fantastic and my husband enjoyed his hamburger …
Waitress was a rocket. Food was great had the burrito it was filling and delicious. Service was fast only a few people there. Would go back again
If you’re looking for the best atmosphere in Bobcaygeon make sure you check out EL Patio/Kawartha Coffee Co. The owner Kathleen is so welcoming and has created a gorgeous establishment. Make sure you check out the fish tacos!! My personal fav!!! Loving the chic, boho vibe. Perfect for a date night, girls night - or any night really!! Highly recommend!!
Great Food & atmosphere!
This place is super cool the foods great, service is awesome and the atmosphere is just all around chill. I appreciate the constant sanitizing that we witnessed while we were there. We will be coming back
Lovely, clean, well decorated cafe with a Mexican flourish. Pleasant surprise in Bobcaygeon!
Cool little place in Bobcaygeon. Great food, awesome patio!
Excellent food, even better coffee.
Very comfortable, good friendly service, outside patio was fabulous. I recommend the Kawartha Coffee Co. to friends and family! ✔????
Super cool. Awesome drinks. Great place
Friendly staff. Great coffee and baked goods.
This place seemed great to stop and grab a bite and cocktail while we were walking though town. Waited a bit to be seated, we had to get our own drinks from the bar (bar tender and kitchen staff were not wearing masks). Was told then that food from the food truck was an hour wait (on a Wednesday afternoon), which would have been useful info when we were waiting in line to be seated. We decided to just grab a drink and snack on some mini donuts, then told (by the maskless staff) they don't do donuts when the kitchen is busy. Had our mediocre drinks, watched mediocre fast food come out of the kitchen for 15 mins, then left. Too bad because there's so much potential...don't bother with this place.
Love the Mexican food!
I'd come back. Nice selection of craft beers.
Mexican inspired, but Mexican not required! Nice little spot that combines traditional coffee shop/cafe and Mexican street food. It has a prime location on Bolton Street in "downtown" Bobcaygeon. Great for people-watching. Also wifi to reconnect in Cottage Country. The Burritos are great for lunch. Try it with sour cream! And the Triple Chocolate brownie for dessert is unbelievable!
Great service, great food, great people, what more can you ask for? Bang bang chicken sandwich was amazing, they even brought a water bowl for my dog. Confused at all the negative reviews as they seem quite out of character. Even the boss was caring and attentive. Must do when in Bobcaygeon!
Loved our server but they forgot our order, we were there waiting for food for 1.5 hours and it was not worth the money, I hate complaining but our nachos had processed cheese on it, not worth $18.99 plus $2 for sourcream, not too happy, wont be returning unless for cocktails only. Nachos, burger, chicken fingers with fries plus 4 drinks were $125!!
We had an aweasome experience the service is unique, a must place to visit in Bobcaygeon.
, great food, great coffee, can't go wrong. My only complaint are the hours, they close at 6 pm. Definitely my favorite coffee/eatery in Bobcaygeon.
The food is fresh and tasty and you can watch everyone walking past. Great spot!!
We went Friday night for patio reopening. It was a nice atmosphere the food was okay. I would only recommend getting strong buns, as I could not even pick up my pulled pork sandwich. I had to eat it with a knife and fork, as the bun got too soggy to hold. My sandwich was also cold.
Lovely relaxed patio on the “Main Street” of Bobcaygeon. Loved the bucket of beers, the burger is awesome - and big water bowls for dogs! (Plus a dog friendly patio). They call it a 1/2 acre of paradise - couldn’t agree more!!
Awesome staff and great drinks.
Just enjoyed a great Burrito, home made guacamole and chips. Yum yum. Just very very expensive.
decent coffee and small meals
Great spot with fair trade organic coffee
Just ok coffee, nothing spectacular
A very charming place. Highly recommended. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. We had p great time.
We love the buzz of this place. It's our 'go to' for great food in Bobcaygeon. Staff are awesome. It must have been pure hell surviving thru the pandemic. So glad they did. 5 stars any day, all the time!
Excellent!! Went there for live music on Saturday night with my wife and had a wonderful time. They have a great selection of local beer on tap. Delicious Pork taco with …
Cozy place that makes it super easy to unwind.
Was over a table next to a group of about 8 people, we watched the bar staff eat right off the plate of one of their plates, lick his fingers, and then the other waiter brings it directly over. several of us watched them doing it and they told the guests that they didn't know if which flavour of burrito that the cook prepared. So you decided to taste it? Absolutely appalling. Anyways, its not a fry, its a burrito, did you dig in to the rice with your fingers? At least 8-10 of us watched this occur. In the end what appeared to be the owner walked over to the lady, and said, we will figure this out and we will give you a discount. ....... in the end she got offered a brownie. She paid her bill and left, telling them to keep their brownie, I would have done the same, or not paid the bill at all. Disgusting. Turned out the lady that they were serving owns a restaurant in Toronto, talk about a bad choice by management.
Good environment friendly staff!
Stopped by this hidden gem in Bobcaygeon on a quiet Wednesday afternoon and was truly impressed. Beautiful patio on a beautiful day. We really enjoyed our experience there. The lunches were fresh and delicious. My brother had the Chicken Sandwich and I had the Ultimate Burger... simple but Scrumptious !! Drinks from the bar were ice cold. It was a very nice lunch and i look forward to stopping in again... soon I hope. Thanks guys and gals.
Love the setting, really good quality of food and coffee. Went here several times, nice cup of cappuccino on Saturday morning along side a delicious bagel and buttertart. Will be back ;)
Should change the name to "overpriced beer joint with owner attitude ". Since now they say coffee only four hours a day. And overpriced beer the rest of the day. If I wanted a good beer and atmosphere I know it's I can go to 72 Bolton. And a good coffee across the street. But I thought this place appreciated my business. But they don't. Just say away people
Coffee was okay. I didn’t like that the employees weren’t wearing masks. If they can’t handle basic covid guidelines I worry what other health and safety measures they are ignoring. Edit: The maskless employees were indoors and handed the drink to me so we were definitely within 6 feet. According to the Kawartha Health Unit Website "masks must be worn indoors at all times" regardless of distance or plexiglass.
Very friendly staff. Cozy inside. Lots going on outside in the summer.
Beautiful, unique place. A must visit in Bobcaygeon. Kind staff, good food, good beer, great atmosphere.
The Mexican & burgers are legitimate. Aside from having to get my own beer because I’m impatient- excellent.
It was our first visit to El Patio. Great service and the food was delicious. We had the sangria, tacos, nacho platter, and the kids enjoyed burgers and chicken fingers. There were kids meals too. I would definitely recommend this place if you're visiting the area.
My experience was far below par. Our food (chicken wings, chicken fingers, salad & burger) took over 1 hour. We watched 4 tables come in after us, get served, eat, and leave. We asked 2 different waitresses to check on it an confirm it was coming. One waitress advised it would be out in 5 minutes (which it wasnt), and the second one said she would check and then simply avoided us, never offering an explanation or even an apology for the delay. When the food finally came out it was not made as per our order. We asked to speak with the manager. The lady made it abundantly clear that she was the owner and not "just a manager". She was sure to leave a bad taste in our mouth as her attitude was horrendous. She challenged every single issue that we brought up, for exampe "WE should expect to wait over an hour for our food because the patio is full", then it changed to "my staff should have told you right from the beginning that you'd be waiting over an hour for your meal", "the reason your burger came with everything on it that you specifically said you did not want is because the waitness grabbed the wrong plate", "its impossible for the celery to be dirty because we soak it in water" - I dont think she realized the produce needs to be WASHED before soaked.. The food was pretty good - but the service and the attitude of the owner will ensure that I never return, and I will certainly not recommend visiting this place to anyone. It makes me cringe to see the owner replying to reviews on here with that rotten attitude. I'm a big supporter of local business, but when leaving I saw a sign for a hot dog vendor and I should have saved myself $200 and enjoyed that 1+hour of my life that I'll never get back! edit: I knew she would respond to this. And of course "the gentleman paying was all fine" its called BEING POLITE!!!! He is the one who asked me to write the review so I can assure you he is extremely disappointed also.
Terrible place. .cold food overpriced. Just don't. Owner doesn't care
Nice vibe, great service
Very friendly staff
The owner is extremely rude to her staff and customers. She believes that the pandemic is over and everything is FANTASTIC hence the zero precautions taken during a pandemic. Clearly she does not care for the community but rather only her business and bottom line. I highly recommend to anyone in this area to steer clear of this establishment. Oh yeah not to mention the mixed drinks and food are garbage. Terribly prepared and the quality of ingredients are cheap and processed.
First patio experience in a year and a half since Covid and couldn’t have been better! Food was amazing and came out so quickly, and with three kids under three we really appreciated that. Staff was attentive and so friendly. Will definitely be back and can’t recommend this place enough!
(Translated) Nice big terrace (Original) Belle grande terrasse
Absolutely amazing food, drinks and service! A MUST visit when in Bobcaygeon.
We stopped in as a group of 9 with 4 young kids. We were well accommodated by a young and helpful staff. They had sidewalk chalk so the kids could play while we waited for the food. Food was good and beer as great.
Such a treat in the Kawarthas. Delicious coffee and fabulous summer menu. Love the Taco Trio, Azteca Salad and Gazpacho. Friendly and fun atmosphere.
One of my favorite stops in the Kawarthas. Great food, great beer and what has to be the most amazing patio around. Just steps from the Lock wall it is our go-to stop when out on the boat. Was absolutely insane over the holiday weekend, staff were run off their feet but still managed to smile, joke and make our visit a memorable one. Don't hesitate, go try it out. I had The Bang-Bang Chicken and thick cut fries and my wife had the Tacos. Both were fantastic. And the side of hand made tortillas and house made guacamole were a perfect starter.
Friendly staff, good eats and speciality coffees.
Been here a few times to give them a chance, poor service, I’m still not sure if they actually sell coffee anymore, couldn’t get one last 2 visits, staff is terrible. Was good at one time, gone down hill.
Incredibly friendly staff and impressive service considering how hot it was today. They were super diligent and made sure we had everything we needed and frequently checked in on us and made sure our water glasses were always full. Bar service only but they have plenty of signage around the restaurant and even made sure to make note of that when seating us to make sure we weren’t waiting too long. Came with a friend and we shared an Aztec salad and a poutine and the portions were massive! We both walked away with leftovers as the size of the poutine was bigger than my head!! Kudos to the staff for pushing through this heatwave and not letting it sour their moods or affect their service.
Food was passable, I found the chicken to be rather tough and the greens did not seem very fresh, the wait staff were accommodating but I was put off by the food.
Accidentally found this place just walking around on a Saturday due to messed up plans. It's bright, eye catching, comfortable, lots of seating, the coffees are good, the beer is better. Only had a couple of apps and they were also good. Staff are very friendly, can't wait to go back again. Delightfully surprised
Great service and great food. Highly recommended.
This is a great place to eat for pretty much any occasion. We have been twice now with our daughter for lunch and the service is amazingly fast! Drinks are great as well as the food. All the food comes out of the food truck and they have great foliage everywhere on the patio. Inside is a little cafe with bathrooms upstairs. I am not sure if there is wheelchair accessible bathrooms, as there are steps up the front to get into the cafe, and more steps up to the bathrooms. We enjoy the coffee as well. Very friendly and great service all in all, just a little pricey. Keep up the great work we will be back!
Disappointed in service staff. Hot weather is poor excuse for poor attitude. Owner disagrees with me. Kudos to the cook. The burger was good.
Fantastic patio service. Fast service. Cleanliness. The food was fantastic! Fast service. Big portions
Live music in Bobcaygeon! Surroundings were very comfortable. Food was FANTASTIC! Service was spot on!!
Great new patio in bobcaygeon
Terrible coffee quality. Cheap and sour. Couldn't even finish my cappucino.
Better than Starbucks! Amazing drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Kept clean, excellent service. Very cool place to chill!
One of the best tacos I've had in years! Delicious!
Amazing Mexican food. Pricey but worth it! Best burrito I've ever had and I consider myself a foodie.
Excellent coffee. Will come back and try other items another time. (Review posted earlier today was for another local eatery.y
Fabulous afternoon on the porch, great music and the Margaritas were to die for... will definitely be back before the summer is done!
LOL! Was there on Saturday evening, it was so bad I had to laugh about it afterwards. So you walk up and it looks really nice. Cool patio, nice seating options. Check the menu out, looks good, typical pricing and food offerings. It wasn't as busy as the sports pub up the street, so we decide to step in. Then we notice that it didn't look busy from the outside because all the tables were dirty and not being cleared by staff, so there's no place to actually sit down. I've served before, so automatically I'm thinking they just went through a rush and the staff are working on turning tables over, it'll be fine. But as we're in line and one lonely staff member cleared tables I noticed that she was: A) not wearing a mask B) not sanitizing tables and chairs C) not separating tables far away enough for social distancing Meanwhile, we are in line (you order from the bar) and the cashier wasn't wearing a mask either. It didn't help that she looked completely and utterly unimpressed that we were still browsing our menu, not that she was rude, just.....surly. We were the only ones in line, so...no rush? Eventually we order, pay and tip, just to get barked at that the drinks will be on the bar. No "thanks", no "enjoy your meal", no...anything. Not even eye contact. Just slapping our receipt down, slappin away. It was weird, again not rude just....surly. From there we had to find a table that was clean, not possible because they were all kinds of gross. We settled for one that had minimal crumb and liquid on it, at which time I was feeling like taking the order to go. What sealed the deal was that there was one server who DID have a mask, but ONLY when she came up to the customers to serve their food and ONLY had the mask on by holding it to her face. Come on, isn't that the rule with the mask is that you shouldn't touch it while you're wearing it? She comes to serve our food, mask is on until it just slips off (was not like one of those masks with the ear loops, just a bandanna type thing). So now she's trying to put the thing back on, to no avail. But we needed napkins and cutlery so she goes to grab some only to return without the mask on at all. Coooool. Additional details: Long wait time for the food to come out Other customers making the same observations as we were (they asked for cutlery and plates, waited 10 minutes and didn't get them until one of their party had to go to the bar and bring it back to the table) Some of our drinks tasted like....mildew? Ratings: Ambiance: 5/5 cool patio for sure Food and Beverage Selection: 4/5 generic but has good options Food and Beverage Quality: 1/5 heavy on the salt, light on the chips and salsa, drinks tasted off Service: 2/5 bartenders and server were cool (but please wear a mask), cashier lady, i hope we just caught you on a bad day... COVID Related: 0/5 obviously no regard for the pandemic going on Verdict: LOL
Great location
Lovely atmosphere, great open space and the wait staff was very helpful and friendly. The ordering system is a bit different but it's a unique place. I had their double patty burger and can confidently say that it might be one of my favorite restaurant burgers I've had. Well done, but not dry. The nachos had a good amount of toppings and a delicious sauce. Will definitely visit again
Waited an hour for takeout for only two meals. Eventually asked for our money back and left after seeing others get food before us. Also not happy to see cooks without masks wiping sweat from their faces and then touching food.
Stopped to have a quick lunch on Saturday afternoon well that was a big mistake. Non of the waiters were wearing masks and no tables getting sanitized We waited over a hour to get a basic poutine that was ice cold when it eventually came we called the waiter over and she apologized for it but we were short for time and had to go A group of 4 people sitting next to our table the guy asked the waiter for the ketchup when the waiter opened it she sprayed the ketchup all over his shirt it looked like an expensive Harley Davidson shirt so we just got up and left will never go back there again
Fantastic food, amazing atmosphere and great location. The nachos are authentic Mexican, loaded with cheese and amazing toppings, worth every penny! A new family favourite for us!
Why is there no coffee on the online menu? I read the reviews and I am scared.
Not bad. Slow service. They shouldn't put new waitress with a big group as we were a group of 9 pple. Confused with her menu. Forgot to bring an order then when she did brought wrong order. More finger food than anything. Not recommended if u want the food u ordered and on a timely manner
Great staff which makes the atmosphere appealing. Definitely a page to return to
Getting better. Was a great place the lady few years however noticed a decline this year earlier with a lot of items absence and staff not entirely engaged. New owners zip am guessing Went today to see if any improvement and is seems so. Staff still young and inexperienced but was able to get the hibiscus ice tea and the drink list had expanded. Menu still interesting. Good to see a positive tend since we have always loved this place for the atmosphere and quality. We will continue to come to see how it evolves.
Karaoke awesome!
Spent a lovely late-afternoon here. Beautiful decorations and such a colourful area to dine in. I ordered a burger and I must say, it was one of the best burgers I’ve had. Would 100% recommend anyone looking for a good place to eat in Bobcaygeon.
Boomer owner is rude to staff - who are mostly Millennials or younger. The quality of the food and drinks are very poor and overpriced. The customer service is terribly slow and the drinks are mixed horribly. There are little to no social distancing guidelines put into place at this location and hardly sanitized. I would 100% recommend supporting another local business in the Downtown Bobcaygeon area - who isn't just for their business, and is more for their customers + people.
Great atmosphere and location! The Sangria pitchers are amazing. Do not order the Jalapeño poppers because a) they aren’t even jalapeños and b) there were three of them the size of my pinky finger. Also, the nachos need more toppings!
Warm, comfortable environment. The food is very good albeit a tad pricey..the coffee is excellent...dark roast black so I get to fully experience both flavour and aroma. Servers are good and cordial. ????????
they got no masks on fr. horrible just horrible. wish they took that COVID protocol more seriously here. it really is a shame as I am a huge fan of their eggplant parmigiana. such a shame. don’t think I’ll ever be returning until something changes regarding their covid policies. WEAR MASKS
The kawartha coffee company is a sweet little joint with garage door style walls to enjoy the outdoor air. Great service and coffee house experience. Try the house blueberry sparkling lemonade!
A friend recommended this place, unfortunately we were pretty disappointed. When ordering at the bar (they were not doing table service) I felt like I was inconveniencing the people at the bar by ordering. We ordered a platter of build your own tacos and two pounds of wings. When our food came, we asked for plates. We were told they don't really have any plates.... They did end up finding us three plates.... for the five of us to eat make tacos on.... We ordered two pounds of wings, one garlic parmesan and one medium. They brought one pound with the meal (I did go to the bar and order the second pound about two minutes after the first because we decided we wanted more) The first pound we ordered came out with the tacos. We waited for the second untill our meal was done, the second pound never came. I went back to the bar and asked about the second pound. He didn't submit the second pound, which is ok, things happen. We asked for it to go because now we had been there over an hour. When we got the wings they were hot, not medium. They were so hot we couldn't even eat them. Whatever, we just wanted to get out of there. Again, I understand things happen, people have bad days. I usually don't write bad reviews but their attitudes from start to finish just made this whole experience an unpleasant one. Acknowledging your customers and a smile (even under a mask) goes along way. ***** Edit***** I actually did not like the food, my review was of the poor service. Judging from your response, I now understand why the staff was miserable yesterday... The problem IS the YOU. It's probably embarassing for a server to have to tell customers, they have to eat and build their tacos with their hands. All because the owner doesn't give the basics for them to do their job. Don't worry, we won't be back to your business! I feel so sorry for your staff, I hope they all find happiness working elsewhere. ****Edit 2**** I'm glad you changed the wording from your previous reply, you sound a lot less aggressive and rude. By you changing your tone, looks like my review has done something good and it started with you. You won't be so rude to people who share some criticism.
Ordered large latte. Zero expresso in it. Great if you like warm milk.
Every time I am in the area I stop in here for a coffee. I love the vibe, the patio and the coffee!
Great coffee, delicious baked goods. Lovely atmosphere.
Dont let the name decieve you, this place is more more then coffee. With its large funky patio and Mexican flair, it's a perfect place for lunch or drinks. Go with the Mexican menu options, the salad bowl was amazing- hearty and authentic. The patio is also dog friendly and the server was kind enough to bring over a bowl of water for our dog.
Aug 5th. Ordered bang bang chicken. Fish tacos and a drink. Drink is $8.75 and they did not have what they listed. You have to go place your order yourself and get your drinks: then they bring to table only. We had not cutlery or napkins. $60 and yes I left a tip. Chicken was a patty you feed your 8yr old. Deep fried. Bun was a Villagio hamburger bun and totally lacking. College food. Fish taco’s was missing the fish. Sour cream; $2 for 2 spoonfuls: Stop blaming Covid for poor food and self serve. For $60 I want more: I will not be back. You have been warned..: owner, when you read this and it sounds like you do. You can do better. How about an actual piece of chicken for $17? How about enough fish to fill the taco. Not the girls fault, the owners… Aug 7 update - I never like to leave a bad review but El Patio, you really deserve this. We all save up for a day out and we gladly pay $30/person for a simple lunch but your end has to be better. I still can’t get over your “Janes” chicken burger on a “Villagio” bun named Bang Bang Chicken to monopolize on the Asian flair. I have days to think on this and your food is still lacking. Be better. Want to debate what I ate, fire away….
A little taste of fresh original Mexican in the heart of the Kawarthas. My son is gluten free and we were able to get him gluten free soft tacos he really enjoyed. The only negative was the fact they charge extra for sour cream and guacamole. I get it for the guacamole but charging extra for sour cream?
My daughter and I enjoyed a snack outside. There was a beautiful breeze and we were sat in a shady spot for two. Head up to the bar to place your order, 2 sparkling lemonades and hangover poutine to share. The drinks needed more lemonade flavor, it mostly tasted of sparkling water. The poutine was huge and delicious. It was very spicy, but in a flavorful and enjoyable way. The fries kept there crisp under the cheese, salsa, pickled onions and crema. We battled the wasps during our meal. Not the restaurants fault, but a wasp trap or two hung up might have helped.
Very disappointed, we made reservations a week in advance and when we arrived the restaurant wasn't even open. I would never go here and very disappointed with the customer service. Have no idea what the food is like as they did not even open even though it was planned in advance. However the Italian place across the street was incredible, would go there instead.
