Bobcaygeon is a little and adorable town. There are restaurants and small shops along the towns main streets. We read reviews about Bobcaygeon Bakery and ventured here for breakfast. A lovely experience: cute store front and inside. Lots of choices of goods: savory and sweet, and they all look good which is a good first impression. Then you taste them and it verifies that they not only look good but are well made and taste delicious. They had pasteis de nata (Portuguese custard tarts), and they were very good (still not as good as the ones you eat in Portugal). They have a wide selection of butter tarts and they are well made and tasty. Their giant merengues are what a merengue should be: crunchy on the outside with a chewy center. They have a nice selection of quiches: individual size and regular size. They also sell their quiches frozen. We tasted a couple of their quiches and they were outstanding. Their caramel squares are something we have never had before and they were out of this world.

Our second last stop on our Butter Tart Tour and it didn't disappoint. Although it was the end of the day, they still had a few tarts left that we were able to try. Their plain had a very flaky crust, although I don't believe it was butter given how it tasted, and a slightly sweet filling that was very gooey filling reminiscent of a custard in texture (I believe it was high in eggs). Their cinnamon buns are delicious; not too sweet with a very moist, fluffy dough!

Amazing baked good. We swung by first thing in the morning to pick up treats for a day trip. The place smelled so good and the shelves were filled with tasty looking treats. Feta spinach pastry are a favourite of mine whenever I find them. The ones at Bobcaygeon bakery were above and beyond the absolute best I've had. Great flakey pastry, excellent texture and consistency of the filling, and the flavour was beyond the best. We also picked up some butter tarts, croissants and a pull apart cheese bread all fabulous! They have made some of the best pastry I have ever tasted. Definitely a must visit!

Stopped in for a few treats for the weekend. Ended up wishing that I bought more things and pledged to eat only things from the Bobcaygeon Bakery all weekend!!! Yes, they were that delicious!! I bought the BEST lemon meringue pie ever!! Super fluffy, soft and toasted meringue; bright, tangy lemon filling; and flaky, buttery crust. We also had pumpkin bundt muffins, sour dough bread and butter tarts. All were equally delicious in their own ways! Thank you for the treats!!!

No complaints. None of the goods we picked up were particularly memorable, just ok. Some of the goodies we picked up: Sugar Cookie Empire Cookie Peanut Butter Marshmallow Square Pecan Tart Walnut Tart Blueberry Scone The HIGHLIGHT of our visit was the Cream Cheese Frosted Cinnamon Bun. DELICIOUS. Staff was knowledge, the bakery inside was clean looking. The cases were presented nicely and the pies on display (sold as a whole, not individual slices) looked very tempting! We will be back! ????

I Needed a Special Birthday Cake, for my wife, whom is very particular regarding "Real Cream" in baked goods. I spoke to the owner, left the decision up to her and her staff as to the choice. My wife, was thrilled with the beautiful and delicious pastry that Bobcaygeon Bakery created. Exceptional quality, personalized and friendly service. Got the camera too late????

Entered a weekly draw for free Portugese tarts.... And won! Best ones I've ever had. Bought date squares, lemon squares and brownies as well, all excellent! Definitely recommend!

We bought many different baked products: sprinkled cookies, custard tarts, lemon pie, spinach roll and their sourdough bread. They were all fresh and tasty. Service was good and fast. The only caveat (and the reason behind the four - and not five - star rating) is that they do not have prices posted for any of their products. Why is that? This can and should be easily corrected. Highly recommended!

The bakery was sold and under new management. Cinnamon buns was amazing but the custard tarts were over cooked and the cupcakes were very heavy and dry. Icing was not very tasty. I may try other things but hopefully the goods will get better tasting.

So many calories, so little time to try them all.... Tiny bakery that sells everything from bread to cookies, butter tarts to cakes and pies. We tried the sausage rolls, butter tarts (plain, raisin, pecan), peanut butter cookies, date squares and triple chocolate brownies on our last visit and all were superb. Staff was pleasant and friendly even though she was quite busy, prices are a little higher but well worth the quality of the product.

Beautiful little spot with super helpful staff. We bought a fresh made Raspberry Rubarb pie that was incredible. Great selection of little brownies and treats as well. We tried a couple that were great. Also dinner pies that look delicious. Can't wait to go back.

My family has a little place in town and when we visit, we are at the bakery probably four or five times within a week. It's easily one of my favorite little small town bakeries in Ontario. Particular shout outs to the butter tarts (the pastry game is legitimate and that little bit of caramelization that they get around the edges gives a bit of extra chew and depth of flavour), the empire cookies (best ratio of cookie to jam to frosting ratio around), the eccles cakes (again, pastry game: on point) and the baklava (my ONLY gripe is that it needs a little more syrup to keep the top a little more moist). This place is worth a stop anytime you're passing through the area. They're doing a great job.
