Everything about it was great. The server was friendly and attentive. Even complimentary. The patio was comfortable and when the food came it was very good. The minus two stars is because a salad instead of fries is $5.99. Fries are the only thing offered as a regular side. The food took far too long to arrive. The server and the pleasant weather saved the day.

Our sever didn't understand what a margarita was, when she brought out the drink I mentioned to her that it wasn't correct and all she said was our blender is broken. She charged me for the drink, I hadnt had anything of it to drink. Once we ordered the came back and asked me what I ordered again. When we got our bills we noticed that the other beers we ordered came in at full price meanwhile there was a promo for those beers. She was very slow and seemed like she had better things to do. We've been to 72 Bolton before and have had excellent service.

Over the weekend we ventured into the 'Sports Cafe' for a quick bite to eat and were quickly very uneasy with the lack of enforcement of the 'mask rule' in place. While the staff diligently wore their masks, patrons were not consistently asked to. Those popping to the sidewalk to smoke, clearly felt exempt from the rules, and one family strolled right in, escorted to a table by the door to the inside, with Father & 2 children all without masks. In addition, the claim to having the 'best wings around' was sadly inaccurate, as mine were quick cold and questionably pink inside. My partner enjoyed his fish tacos, but we will not be going back, as we simply did not feel that it was safe. Disappointing behaviour, creating unnecessarily unsafe conditions.

First time having take it from here, staff are very friendly and attentive. We ordered chicken wings and greek salad, the wings were tasty and the salad was a fair portion. The downside was the salad only had a hint of a vinegarette ( more dressing was required but not supplied). I thought the portion size for the price was not adequate. We got 10 wings and a large Greek salad and this cost $34.00 + 15% tip came to $41.00 too much!

Such an amazing place to come grab some food and have some drinks with great people. The staff and service has always been top notch and on top of it were always allowed to bring our pupper and he gets his own water dish and always well taken care of. You’ll always see the owner walking around greeting tables and making sure every guest is taken care of. Highly recommended to come here for a good time, good food, and good people

Disappointing. $16 chicken sandwich and it was no better then the one I get from A&W I even think they use the same bun and the lettuce was brown! So dissapointing that they are charging so much for their food but the quality does not match. Rest of the food was just OK. Feels like they are taken advantage of tourist - hate places like that. Bobcaygeon Inn Restaurant never dissapoints and a $16 chicken sandwhich that is worth everry penny!. Will not be returning - Cheers

Used to love this place. Ok with food cost increases due to covid, but food has declined. Ordered wings to go the other night. Got home they had put no sauce on them. Ordered two buffalo chicken wraps to go today...sopping with hot sauce, barely any chicken and fries not fresh. Won't go back this summer. Staff is really friendly, environment and patio great for a beer. Maybe order the hamburger.

(Don’t know to where the text of my review vanished)... Thursday night is wing night at the Bolton, so, we always time our trips to Bobcaygeon around that event. Indoor seating with lots of TV screens, or a dreamy & spacious outside deck are available. We rate the wings near the very top (and we are the ‘first family’ of wings!). Service is friendly & prompt, but the place is very busy—so, be patient (we go the 4:00 matinee at the nearby Kinmount theatre & arrive after 7, just past peak hours & never experience unsuitable delays in getting served). I mention that since a few reviewers put ‘slow service’ in their comments—personally, I get nervous when there’s few customers to serve, (know what I mean?). Staff is bright & friendly. You can easily walk to the spot if you are staying in the downtown area. Love this place & the town—been coming here off & on since 1957. See you there for my anniversary last Thursday in July—any year!

It's really nice to see this Bobcageon restaurant come back after covid-19. There's a beautiful outside patio lots of room and it's partially covered. The restaurant staff are happy to be back at work and it shows in their high level of customer service and engagement. It's pub food and it's good. I really like the environment the outside TVs and hitting this great patio for a cold beer on a hot day.

Good place to grab a bite while in Bob. Small menu but everything is delicous. Waitress made fun of our friend for not wanting any tomatoes on his sandwich, which for the rest of us made our night.

Best part about this place is the patio. Hands down one of the best in the Kawartha's - AND - you can bring your dog. It's not going to get a five from me because truth be told the food is overpriced as it's pretty basic pub grub (at best). But. There are two must tries: buffalo balls, wings. That's all you need to know. Well, I'll maybe specifically call out that you shouldn't waste your money and time on the "wrap special" of the day that they often have. It has never been good. Do love visiting this place every summer!

We visited this sports cafe on a sunny Tuesday in June. Due to Covid restrictions only the patio is open. This is the best part of the cafe. Everyone was enjoying themselves. The wait staff were very pleasant. Our meals were tasty. The only negative is I thought the meals were a tad pricey. To be expected as this is a tourist town. A great way to spend an afternoon or evening.

Very slow service. A burger and a poutine took forever to arrive. Burger was good. Poutine was a horrible, disgusting joke for $13. Premade fries instead of fresh cut, crappy canned gravy, and shredded cheese out of a bag. I can get an authentic poutine for half the price at home. And faster.

Food was pretty good, and they have WiFi. There is a huge wasp problem there though. There are swarms of them constantly harassing you. They acknowledged this issue by providing bug zappers, but you constantly have to try to kill the wasps while enjoying your meal.

Had their signature burger with cheese and their steak cut fries. Burger isn't handmade from in-house but was good. They were closing soon for the season so they didn't have Rickard's Red but had Coors Banquet on tap. Had heat lamps on their outdoor patio for those cooler nights. At the peak of their season, I can see this place being very busy.

Cool setup, decent patio, a little pricey for pub fair (and for what you're paying for, you would expect bigger portions), but half price appetizers between 4-7 pm, and you can't go wrong. We supported 72 Bolton during lockdown with ordering takeout. Great burger at $10. Once the restaurant was open and we ordered the takeout burger again the price for the same burger became $20. Double in price. Needless to say we will dine elsewhere.

Was going to come and try this place out, because it is literally the only bar on town, and closes at 10pm, no one cares when you open on Mondays.... After reading the reviews and the self righteous, we can do no wrong, it must be you who is wrong etc, replies and excuses from whoever is in charge of their media presence, I assume the owner. It is not worth the time. Will buy a bottle and make my own drinks fries and wings thank you. Btw low key calling potential customers fat is not a good business tactic.

Went this August long weekend No patrons at 7 pm had to clean our own table and waited 15 mins for a waitress Food came was horrible Used sliced deli roast beef for a beef dip Cook showed us the wrapped pillers roast beef they used (only had 5 thin slices ) had one small bite asked for manager no manager on.site Management came and made us pay Bill or threatened to call the police We paid no apologies for scrappy service and horrible food Horrible experience

This sports bar style restaurant has a very nice shady outdoor patio overlooking the main shopping street, with some good music on the sound system and an inside with TV screens and a bar. The service was friendly and efficient. The menu is typical pub/sports bar, not overly priced. The fish tacos are superb, and the menu declares the wings to be the best in the area. I found them to be quite good. Recommended for a quick lunch on a hot, sunny cottage country shopping day.

8 of us went for lunch at 1 in the afternoon.The food was excellent as was the atmosphere. I gave it a 4 because I found some of the things to be very expensive for what you got, for example the wonton crunch... It was delicious but you didn't get enough for the price. We choose the inside which had AC which was great. There was nice music playing in the background at a nice volume.

I find it amazing that every negative review results in an equally negative response from the owner rather than an apology. Oh well, here goes. Good service but everything else leaves a lot to be desired. Worst Bloody Caesar I ever had and food was just ok. Nothing special. Saturday lunch was mostly full of the over 40 crowd and most were closer to 60+. And still the music blasted like it was a college frat party. Staff seemed totally oblivious to their customers. All in all a very unpleasant experience. Will not return.

Went for lunch on Sunday this summer with some friends and everything we ordered was absolute garbage. I’ve never eaten at a restaurant where everything is just straight out of the freezer like this place. Pizza had no flavour, the pizza base was pre-made trash, the chicken sandwich was bland, and the poutine was just nasty… I don’t know how this place gets business. I wouldn’t be reviewing this place if the food was dirt cheap but it’s pretty pricey for the freezer dumpster food you get. I’d rather eat soup off a public restroom floor than eat here again. Save your money and taste buds for something better. 0/10 for the food, but the waitress was great. 10/10 for the Waitress.

Walked in and seated our selves as the sign said. Waited 20 mins, didnt get a greeting or served.. walked by multiple times but still nothing. Walked out and went across the street to Donattella's whom had amazing service, food and amazingly nice waiters.

Was very heavily disappointed, i have come a few times prior and it was ok.. didn't expect much but when you see a family walk in with kids, you think that someone would ask or give a kids menu. Instead we had to ask for the menu... the response was we have to still print them... they had ran out of wings and fish and only serve ranch sauce for salads. As the pub got busier the service obviously got slower, the two waitresses were run off there feet and I had to wait 35 minutes to be cashed out, not there fault at all.... worst part is I had to watch the owner drink at the bar while his staff struggle to make customers happy...that is not a positive thing at all.. I would of always recommend this pub because it was simple but unfortunately don't know if I could again...

Owner is extremely unprofessional. Majority of the community he lives in don't like him and his only clientell are Tourists, in which only likely go once after receiving the service they do. Waitresses should follow a dress code as her butt was showing and we had a family with kids with us (update your dress code perhaps?) We come up with many friends with our boats every summer and refuse to come back here after having more than 3 times bad service. Were not ones to write bad reviews, and one time a mistake happens, cool.. but this is every time we go, so Figured wed put the word out to GO TO DONNA TELLAS where you get what you pay for and receive the service you deserve! not to mention your giving your money to a business and owner who is professional, and don't involve themselves in childish arguments over facebook, and talk down to people of the community.

I had french fries , too much salt and with peoples health issues dont put any on thank you. Every item on menu is 16 dollars. The wings i ordered no meat and way to hot for mild. Returned them.we brought very good friends and they were not impressed. I live here I will not return.

We went on Saturday night with a group of 7. We were seated right away and our server did take our drink order right away which was incorrect for one of us. The food was not great but the real issue was the service. We were brought food that was missing things, incorrect drinks three times and every time we asked her for something she would literally start to walk away as we gave her the order, not allowing us to finish what we said. She didn't smile or ask if we needed anything at any time.

10$ Cover charge. No table service. Waitress would not even bring a menu to the table- had to go back to the bar to order and get our own food. Bartenders/waitresses were seen standing around. Band did not start until 10, when advertised to start at 9. Bar closed for 2 hours for set up and sound check- still setting up and doing sound check at 930. Beverages served in plastic cups. Very disappointing bar. Great band though!

Pub food prepared consistently. I am a veggie so I appreciate that there are salads and other vegetarian options on the menu. My kids declared 72 Bolton the "second best restaurant in town" after my cooking. They like the casual atmosphere, invariably friendly wait staff and quick service. We all do. The comfortable patio chairs are particularly conducive to enjoying a beer or two with friends. While the owner may not personally agree with certain current health restrictions, I appreciate that he follows them anyway making a more enjoyable experience for us that have a more cautious approach.

Love the place, my husband and I went there for lunch today, the wings are very delicious, and the waitress is very friendly. We will go back next year when they reopen for sure

It offers typical sports bar food - tasty enough, but... A very uninspired beer menu offering every bland option available in the province. With a local microbrewery around the corner, it would be good to offer their products as well. It was about the only thing we could find open on a Monday at 1:00 pm. It's fine but just barely. Edit: Just responding to 72 Bolton's temper tantrum about being called out for offering nothing but Molson Coors and Labatt products on their menu. Suggesting that you don't serve beers from a local brewery because then I wouldn't visit that brewery is ridiculous. Perhaps if you did promote them, I would be more inclined to visit them and take some home with me. This would be a way of helping local businesses rather than just focusing on just your own. Instead you serve (according to your menu) 7 Molson Coors and 6 Labatt products on draught. And the reason you do this is because both of those multinational brewers offer you cash incentives to offer their bland beers. So please don't claim you are doing the local brewery a favour by NOT purchasing their product. Your menu does not even mention bottled beer, so I'm not sure what exotic treasures you are suggesting I missed...my guess...more of the same, but who knows, you don't even list them on your menu. You do offer 7 Tall Cans, but only one of them is a beer. So back to my original review, yes, you do offer bland beer choices....choices that are on your menu because you get a monetary incentives from the major brewers...kick-backs that the local micro brewery could not possibly afford to pay you. Maybe rather than taking the time to respond negatively to reviews that you do not like, you would do better to listen to customers (and maybe even support local, by actually offering at least one product from your local independent brewer). Finally, if you want a good review just because you were the only place open on a Monday, then you are setting the bar pretty low. But don't worry, because you set the bar where you did, you have absolutely cleared it...so good for you! Well done!

Cool sports bar serving typical sports bar food and various types of both craft and traditional beers. $5 specialty pint of the month is a great deal. Good happy hour drink specials from 4-7 pm. Prices are high for mediocre, not-so-good food. $15 for a OK size caesar salad with nothing on it, just a salad with croutons and fake bacon bits is way too much, especially because it's not that tasty. Overall, I will be back for drinks but not food. Great service and friendly waitstaff.
