Wow! Visiting from Yellowknife and happy we tried the roost! The service was friendly and efficient. Had the beef donair and the portion and quality was great. My friends got the chicken donair and the Chinese combo. We were all satisfied!!

In a small town like Inuvik one does not expect a great variety of options for eating out. Boot The Roost was a pleasant surprise, in terms of the variety and quality of food, as well as the overall experience. Good selection of fast foods and other meals. Burgers, fried chicken, pizza, pasta, steak, salads, sandwiches, Chinese dishes... They have a big menu! Beer and wine are available as well. Dempster burger was pretty good, others in our group gave praise to the steak (didn't try it myself). Staff are very friendly and chatty, atmosphere is quite pleasant.

Four of us ended up at The Roost. I had the cheeseburger and the three ladies I was travelling with ordered the falafel special (comes with fries and a drink). The cheeseburger was a good standard cheeseburger with fresh lettuce, tomato and onion with the right amount of all the condiments. The falafel looked and smelled amazing and I wish I had ordered it. All three said it was great and it was a very generous portion that they couldn't finish. Service was friendly, efficient and quick and it was all around a great experience. A+

Order the pizza, you won't be dissapointed. The lasagna is better than most places, and the home fried chicken is a fav. Surprise the Roost even has Chinese food. This place has an open kitchen where you can see the food bring prepared and is mostly a take out restaurant so the service inside is not that great, they call it self service, as you order your food at the cash register then you can sit down at a table. The Roost bar selection may not have your preferred beverage, so be prepared to skip cocktails. Venture into the back dining room where you will see interesting decor like no other place.

Very cozy place and friendly staff, perfect place for a late lunch stop. Great fries, great onion rings, they have a cooler for several types of soda and juice. They have Chinese food available as well as you can order and pick up later. The Roost definitely has got the best burgers in Inuvik!!

Real talk this pizza is pretty damn good for somewhere that's in the Arctic. I would definitely go to a place like the roost if it was down south and that's saying something. There's a reason it's stayed open for so long and it's cause the people are friendly and make really good food. Props to Moody and all the other workers there.

Best food in Inuvik! Tastes great, very affordable prices for being this far north, big portions, quick service despite being really busy, super friendly staff & the best part is they are open after everything else closed, so perfect if you arrive late in the day.
