This is such an amazing bakery, with high quality ingredients ( all coloring is from natural dried fruits!) and attention to details. We ordered few times birthday cakes and everytime, they came out superbly. Stephanie puts so much care and attention in baking them, as our daughter has high allergies to treenuts which are used on a regular basis at Pastel & Coco. Stephanie bakes our cakes away from these nuts which are a threat for our daughter's life. She actually can finally enjoy something that is not baked home. We trust this place and appreciate it very much. I hope they keep up these highest standards over the years to come and we, in the NCR, can continue enjoying their pastry, with gusto. Their pecan cholcolate scones are also a must try! Thank you for your creations!

Gluten free bakery in Gatineau. The design is very clean and stylish. The customer service is good. The presentation and taste of the desserts is great. We got a pecan tart, a matcha chocolate muffin and and earl grey tea. Our favorite was the tart, it was crunchy yet smooth and the tastes of the filling was not too sweet. Overall the experience was good, the only issue was it was a tad overpriced.

Cute place, nice staff, good coffee. Found the blueberry scone a bit blah but my colleague enjoyed all the balled treats. I'd go back and give it another shot. Its a vegan place, didn't know that when I went in.

Love this place! Only discovered it during the pandemic, and they have shifted from their previous menu. It's now many delicious and super creative sweet treats, both vegan and non-vegan! There are also take home meals like soups and lunches available! A delightful treat to have discovered during these times!

The actual taste of desserts I have tried are too sweet for me. I prefer desserts with depth of flavors. The desserts at this cafe just seem to have very basic flavor and way too much sugar. The presentation is fantastic. The staff are friendly and professional. Cleanliness is lacking- Unfortunately I saw the staff use their bare hands to fix my sandwich immediately after touching other objects near the cash and the rest of the cafe.

A great gluten free and vegan little bakery. They have limited sitting space. If you're looking for a variety of dessert selection, from larger cake to smaller bites, they have you covered. Love their BLT and creme cheese bagel.

This bakery is amazing. I’m glad I came across pastel & coco on Instagram and decided to give it a try. They are pretty consistent with their brand image and provide delicious baked goods. I tried their Oreo inside cookie ???? it was just marvellous. I also had their tiramisu mousse and the texture was just on point with the creamy layering. Customer service was great. The baker helped me in my decision process and was very informative. So if you have any doubts, don’t be afraid to ask them any questions regarding your purchase! A note to the brand- I didn’t see tiramisu in the online menu. An updated menu would really help me pre decide and choose the product next time I come in/order online.

Fantastic cafe. Their cookies and the Twix bar are my favorite, I absolutely have to stop by every time I am in Gatineau/Ottawa. I love that it’s sweetened naturally and that some desserts are earthy. I don’t care about gluten, but I know a lot of people are looking for gluten free nowadays.

This place is a must to satisfy your sweet cravings! All their products are vegan and gluten free so though you are paying premium, you are getting a superior quality product regardless of whether you are vegan or celiac. Staff are amazing as well!

As a vegan, I was so happy to find this cute vegan bakery in Old Hull! I think Pastel & Coco is one of the only fully vegan businesses in Gatineau. Their No-tella brownie and chocolate peanut butter square are to die for. Everything is vegan, gluten-free and refined-sugar free. They have a great selection of pastries, cakes, sandwiches, coffees (with many types of plant milks), etc. Staff was genial and prices are reasonable. I'll definitely be back!

Went in to to grab a dessert and ended up leaving with 3 because I couldn’t decide. The lemon meringue pie and the macaroons were delicious! The tiramisu was good as well but a bit sweet for my taste. Can’t wait to try more desserts.

Says 3rd wave coffee on their instagram but the coffee is not 3rd wave. The espresso is sour and salty and there is no notice of where the coffee is from or how it is roasted. Great vegan pastries though. Will for sure go back just for that.

I was quite happy when I saw that a gluten free bakery had opened close by, especially since Kulture Foods closed shortly after. But I have not been impressed. The texture and taste on a lot of products is not great. Trying to make food that is everything free tends not to yield great results.

I love supporting local shops. The coffee was good, but the twix was INCREDIBLE! One downside to the twix and other treats is that it was really pricey... I'll probably just come here once in a while just for special occasions. Good job though!

The matcha energy ball we got was very good but didn’t taste like matcha, everything else we got was delicious. The service was mediocre, one of the two women working when we went in was very friendly the other not so much, but we were impressed with most of what we got so we’ll still be going again.

This place is the bomb! Hard to believe it's vegan. Could have fooled me. If you want beautiful and delicious vegan desserts, this is the place to go. I love this place! My best friend bought me some for my birthday when I was recovering from surgery, and it definitely helped! I recently moved to Vancouver so sadly I won’t be having any of their treats anytime soon (sad ????), but yesterday I placed an order with them through ubereats for my best friend, since she still lives in Gatineau. She absolutely loved it (as usual), and they wrote a cute little happy birthday with hearts inside the box ❤️ thanks for the amazing treats and customer service!! Such an aesthetic and modern place! They are also connected to the bar next door. I got a lot of pastries to try, and some of them were delicious- I liked the cookie, muffin, and the scone. I would say the tart and gem cake was the most disappointing. The taste was pretty bland and simply not the most tasty for me. I would come again and dine in, also as the study spot!
