Some of the best coffee in the GTA. They brew Detour coffee, and off the top of my head, I can't remember the other coffee brands, perhaps next time I'm there I'll find out and see if I can edit this post. If you don't like this coffee, you don't like coffee, period. Actually... I'm reviewing the cappucino, I don't think I've tried the coffee per se... every time I've been here, I ordered a cappucino, so if you're trying to find out about their coffee, I can't help, but if you're looking for a good cappucino, this is a great place to get it.

Still the best espresso coffee in the city. The milk is always steamed so well and the taste is dialed, though not 'traditional' (e.g. not chocolatey). The staff (owners) are super nice as well.

Disappointed but sounds like maybe I got an off cup or an off day. My cap was far too milky and barely warm. I saw another person getting cap to stay and maybe the differing volumes are getting the barista mixed up - but I could barely taste the beans. wanted to like but too many other good options close by for me to likely bother again.

Small space, great coffee. Only about seven customers can stand in this spot without being concerned they might bump the elbow of someone holding a coffee or espresso. There is a bench outside if the weather is good. Its best to walk or bike here but parking can be found not too far away. In the summer get an iced drink with some hand frothed milk.

Great tasting coffee! This ‘small’ shop really does justice to its name, as the venue is just that. They keep it simple at Smalls, espresso based coffee drinks of all kinds, and with plenty of alternative products to substitute dairy. They serve a selection of pastries that go well with the drinks they serve, on top of all kinds of coffee accessories and devises and a selection of coffee beans. The espresso is quite tasty and balanced, it is not overwhelming nor it has a lingering aftertaste, which makes it easy to drink and quite enjoyable. The service was great! The ladies behind the counter were attentive and made the drinks quickly even with a bit of a lineup. I have the feeling this place gets a line out the door at times, due to its size. Keep that in mind while visiting at peak times. Don’t miss is if you are around The West Harbour area!

Just 1 hour from downtown Toronto, and in the heart of Guelph, I found this nice Park to stop in on the way to Elora. We actually came back on the way back!The park is really nice and green. There's lots of do here, and great for picnics, kids etc.

I drove to Hamilton from Milton to try this coffee out because the rating was so high online! This place did not disappoint at all. In fact; I went back three times throughout the day to get three separate drinks. It is easily worth the 45 minute drive from Milton. I drink a lot of coffee and am a big traveller so I have tried some of the best coffee around the world. This tops the list! It’s worth the drive to Hamilton. I’ll for sure be back. The owner and the worker there are very personable and friendly on top of the coffee being awesome. 5 stars all the way!

The most perfect tiny coffee shop. I had a wonderful experience from the moment I stepped in, ordered, and drank my espresso in no more than 5 minutes. This is NOT place to bring your computer or first date because you guessed it, because it’s Small as hell. But Smalls packs a big big punch. Warm service with excellent quality!

I love Smalls! They're an adorable little coffee shop off cannon that has earned my respect and continued patronage. The owners and baristas are super nice and very helpful in helping you pick something off the menu. Their coffee is in my top three cafes in Hamilton easily. Normally there is a window bench to enjoy a coffee in the space but it has been removed due to covid. Instead they have brought in additional plants to Helly fill the space despite them only doing take out at the moment. The location just off of cannon and James north means that you can grab coffee and walk around the shops downtown. Prices are about average compared to other local cafes but the coffee is definitely my favourite. They also sell coffee beans, travel mugs and other coffee paraphernalia so definitely check out Smalls. Long story short I cannot recommend this cafe enought!

It doesn't happen often but it just happened to me at Smalls.I got a cortado and it was perfectly smooth and rich and a little fruity tart and actually the perfect post-large-meal-from-the-place-next-door treat.

Smalls is a cute little coffeeshop in Hamilton. Due to their size there is no indoor seating. When I went there was an empty bench right outside. They sell beans, and coffee accessories. They stock my fave brand of oat milk. You can buy it to take home or order a bevy with it. I had an ice oat milk latte and it was nice. I will definitely go back once they are open again.

I heard from many sources that Smalls might have the best coffee in Hamilton. I've also read that on these reviews. I normally have Americanos because I feel sometimes regular coffee can't be trusted for taste and quality. Their Americano is excellent. So I tried their regular coffee and that is also excellent. I almost like it more than the Americano. The only thing is that their Americano seems at least a dollar more expensive than other places. It's probably worth it though. This is a great coffee place.

Left a great review two years, but edit required. stood outside in wet weather whilst 1 customer just chatted inside, they saw someone was waiting, 0 courtesy shown. Even after the customer had his items, they stood and continued, he looked at me and laughed when he walked out. The woman is the part owner. No apology for the wait, was genuinely confused why I didn’t think the situation was appropriate. It was incredibly rude and I can’t help but think my casual attire added to the dismissive behaviour. Really unfortunate experience from somewhere I enjoy.
