Mmm! I just ordered the waffle sandwich and it was delish! Staff was very accommodating for my gluten free and vegan request. Coffee was bold, and rich. Staff was super friendly and in good spirits, especially considering the Covid restrictions that they must be dealing with. Will definitely be back.

Seriously phenomenal experience. It was my first time visiting this location on King William as I had only been to the Market booth in the past. The Cappuccino I had was probably one of the best I've ever had. Staff were warm and friendly. It's a beautiful little coffee shop with plenty seating options (a few plush couches, stools and tables) they also have a nice little patio but it was raining so I stayed warm inside. Great music selection as well. Just overall an awesome experience. Thank you!!

Super nice little coffee spot with indoor and outdoor seating. Love the exposed red brick walls inside. I had a cold brew which did not disappoint! Vegan and gluten free treats available that actually taste good too. Perfect spot to walk to.

We are visiting the city for a day trip and this is one of the most recommended coffee shops. The staff are friendly and the coffee tastes good. We ordered their espresso, cappuccino and ice brewed coffee! The place is clean and cozy as well!

Stopped in for a bite to eat with a party of 3 around 1pm on a Sunday. Amazing coffee and good seating coupled with decadent and/or savoury waffles. We tried the berry waffle with the berry sauce and whipped cream. Was a great portion for splitting with 3 people! It was hard to even get a picture before it was gone. We will be returning!

Love their Americanos - smooth and flavourful. Location and decor very nice. Great little front patio with shade. Large Americanos (16 oz) are only $0.40 more than small - economically worth getting the large. But with some oat milk and Keep the change tip ($0.35 from $5.00) - it is beyond my budget. Nonetheless - nice place and good product.

Relay is great, even if the coffee was bad I'd probably give them 5-stars, the Baristas here are nice and fun to talk too. Especially at the market but as both locations on occasion share baristas you'll probably run into all of them after a while. The coffee is good, it honestly is what I imagine Starbucks coffee would be if a better roaster who did it for the passion did their products. It's slightly bitter, it's definitely what people who just 'drink coffee' would be able to handle, like I would bring family or friends here who think they like coffee just because it would be an expected flavor before introducing them to exquisite brewing methods or more expensive beans. This isn't to take anything from RELAY, what they do well, they do very well, and they are in my opinion one of the top places to get caffeinated beverages. PS: You know who I am. That'll be two large lattes, one maple with 2 shots and one regular with 3 shots, also the milk will be Oat for both and maybe a fritter.

Awesome staff, service, and great overall experience! Had the 1/2 sweetened iced vanilla latte (didn't even know u could do that!) And my friend had the pumpkin spiced latte (she really enjoyed it!)

Not only does Relay have a cute cafe downtown, but they roast excellent coffee. Especially during the pandemic, having locally-roasted coffee delivered FREE to our door has been incredible! Looking forward to when patios can reopen, as they cocktails and snacking food was delicious last summer (especially the pita and feta dip). Always excellent, friendly service with great quality food and drink. We're lucky to have the team at Relay in Hamilton!

I waited 30 minutes for a cup of coffee and I asked if they were gonna take any longer and I got no response. So I asked them to refund me coz I was getting late for work. I never got my refund so I went in few days later to get the coffee I was never refunded for and the server treated me like I was trying to get a free coffee... You shouldn't treat people poorly and use covid as an excuse.

Started ordering consistently after rotating between toronto roasters. Relay is consistently a better flavour but the service is amazing. Options to grind for french press / paper filters etc, super fast delivery (they pulled out a same delivery for me last week without any extra request). I love this place. Personal favorite is the Ratio and Yield blend over paper filters.

I've been coming here a few years now and in a city filled with cafes and coffee shops this place is easily my favourite. The music is tasteful and perfect, the staff are incredible and welcoming, and the coffee? Out of this world. I've had almost every food item on their menu as well and it will not disappoint! I will say though that the mac and cheese is probably my favourite thus far. Beautiful seating, both indoor and outdoor, with nice lighting and art from local artists displayed on the exposed brick walls. Amazing place to study, grab a coffee with a friend, or read a book on your own- highly recommend!

I've been going to Relay since they were on Concession street years ago. Then I would make the trip from the North End to visit them. They have been consistently amazing with their coffee's and customer service. The King William location is my home away from home, offering plenty of space to sit in a bright comfortable environment. When I visit the market I make a point of starting off my rounds with a hot drink from Relay. I highly recommend Relay!

This is one of the finest coffee shops I've been to when in Hamilton. Lots of coffees, teas and other blended drink and beverages available. Served by friendly, professional and knowledgeable staff in a reasonably quiet surrounding. A nice selection of food and baked goods too. Their new location is ideal for the neighbourhood and they make a great green tea latte, without cane sugar. Parking nearby or limited meter parking curbside. Many fine restaurants nearby and lots of artisans and specialty shops in the vicinity to explore with your drink of choice from Relay Coffee Roasters.

They served me a cappuccino with no dish, they didn't ask or offered sugar and napkins. The cappuccino wasn't hot enough. The cakes offered are not covered and flies stand on them. I wanted to eat a cake with my beverage, but after see the flies, I refrain to order one.

Ordered an americano and was given a coffee no better than mcdonalds. A medium amaericano was served in an old school coffee mug in what looked like it came from an 80's diner yet charged a hipster price. Although the store was bright and had outside seating. Doubt I'll be back. Coffee just wasn't good enough.
