Hey pretty good place but most likely will not return. More of a personal issue; I drink espresso and found their prices way out of line. But the coffee shop was clean. Well decorated. Parking by a meter or near by lot.

Cute and clean coffee shop with beautiful decor. Not a huge place, but not tiny either (about 10 seats total). The drink menu is what you would expect plus more. However, as of right now, their snack menu only consists of donuts, pretty good donuts from Donut Monster tho. The bariatas are friendly and happy to explain thier special drinks if you don't know what a "Kaffe Tonic" is.

This place is such a gem! (Literally, haha) Great decor! My mom, sister and I thoroughly enjoyed the hazelnut lattes, donut monster donuts and a butter tart! Our barista was super friendly as well???? All in all, it was a unique and welcoming atmosphere. We will definitely be back here again!

On top of the friendly guys behind the counter, they do not charge extra for dairy alternatives... love my almond milk lattes - thank youuu! Overall, the space is very lovely and welcoming - I'm looking forward to going back. :)

Just found this wonderful cafe and have already been back three times. Cute atmosphere. Very friendly staff. Amazing hot chocolate. It’s creamy and taste the way hot chocolate should (much better than going to Starbucks or Tim hortons). I always get their chocolate chip cookies too which are yummy and taste very fresh. And the London Fog is made perfectly; if you haven’t tried one and you like sweet hot drinks, definitely give it a go. Emerald Cafes Instagram account is cute too and seeing their posts of food and drinks that I may otherwise never tried, is part of what makes me enjoy stopping in to grab something new.

A fabulous local owned business that knows how to do it right. Fresh coffee and fabulous decor. Their snacks and baked goods are delicious. The nitro cold brew and kombucha on tap is an amazing addition to the traditional cafe vibe. Unique twists on drinks (try the latte with oat milk or the espresso & tonic - both will change your life).

We just moved down to Barton and popped in here to see what we could find for breakfast. Super cute decor, very pleasant staff, the coffee is good - but the standout were the sandwiches we got, "the escarpment", which were absolutely delectable and I think something around maybe $10? Worth every penny.

We drove by randomly and decided to give it a shot. HOLY THIS PLACE IS AMAZING. I love lavender lattes and theirs is on point with oat milk! We got the Hamiltonian sandwich and it was wonderful! We will be coming back and recommending it to anyone in the Hamilton area!

Smart and polished addition to the neighborhood; early days but they know their coffee and the stream of people in and out suggests the neighborhood is more than ready to embrace them. Beautiful interior, sleek and well lit) quiet beats on the speaker, all the proper coffee apparatuses at hand, and Donut Monster offerings on hand. They also have draft taps for Kombucha and Nitro - that definitely sets them apart. Go. Highly recommended. Make this your local.

Just walked in for a coffee after visiting Hello Baked (10/10 would totally recommend) and can't say enough good things. Greeted right upon entering the door, didn't feel rushed to order, lots of great salads and treats, coffee was amazing. Love the little bench in front to sit and sip!

Staff is friendly and coffee is good. No problem there. However, I saw a male employee not wearing a mask at all even as the other two employees had masks on. Very unacceptable as Hamilton is in lockdown and it's the law to wear masks indoors. This is beyond unacceptable and dangerous.

This church was beautiful. I came here for a community choir event and the sanctuary was beautiful. Parking was limited, but there was paid parking around the church. The acoustics in the church was also amazing and the choir itself sounded amazing. The chairs weren't super comfortable or padded

Extremely Friendly staff. Enjoyed a latte and a donut... or donuts who is counting. The seats in the window have a nice ledge where you can place your belongings while you relax. The ceiling is gorgeous!! There is paid parking all along the street and I think also a lot just around the corner.

Emerald Coffee Company is literally a hidden gem on Barton Street. The owner built this spot under the premise of having a place in Beasley where people can go to connect. The experience in house happens to be 10s across the board with caring, educated staff, and a leader who genuinely is invested in the Hamilton community. Very excited to have found this hideaway as I drift into East City, and I will be back for more.

The young girl staff/manager working Wednesday 15th at 2:45pm is very rude and unprofessional. The two times I came in I was treated very rudely, childish and unprofessional. Tried to charge me $3 for a $2.50 shot of espresso with ice, very dishonest. Then later kicked me out for “pouring milk” as she raised her fist in anger and looked me dead in the eyes, she yelled that I was a thief and she would escort me out forcefully for adding milk to my espresso, lol. She is a psycho I was there to study for school, lol. I love coffee shops especially the ones downtown, but this one is very poor in service. I asked for a shot of espresso and the barista couldn't understand what I wanted she was very challenging. Its been very difficult to receive my order without the hassle and stress. As I used to work for Starbucks as a Barista I don't expect perfect service coming from a tiny coffee shop on Barton, but I do expect a sense of one's attitude and behaviour toward all others, specially the clients/customers. Thanks for your time, I hope this gets resolved.

I love coming here to get their latte. The coffee they serve is so smooth and light. I am someone who doesn't EVEN like coffee, but their coffee isn't as harsh and I really like it. The only coffee I seem to like! The staff is awesome and I like the owner too. Everyone who works here is very friendly and kind. The vibes are chill and I like the atmosphere of this coffee shop. I'm very happy they moved into the neighborhood. If you haven't tried their drinks or food I highly recommend trying them. Seriously a hidden gem in the community and I would rather support them than the retail coffee chains.

Absolutely LOVE the shop I highly recommend popping in for a coffee or a tea. Their nanima bars are to die for! We grabbed lunch so sandwiches as well and everything was perfect. I will also add their staff is friendly and quick, the store is very clean and covid guidelines are being thuroughly followed which I appreciate!
