We wanted to buy some coffee beans but the Barista knew nothing about it other than being Bean's & he wasn't going to find out. So lost us their. I am a Earl Grey person here. Downtown Guelph. Great coffee, mediocre food. It's very difficult to find a place that can do both. I got a breakfast sandwich and a nitro cold brew. The coffee was decent but the breakfast sandwich was meh. Came with a lunch meat slice of ham, fake cheese and a plain egg omelette. It even said on the menu board that it would come with tomato, it did not. Very disappointing. Maybe their other food options are good but if they cant make a decent breakfast sandwich, I doubt it.

This was suggested by a friend and at first I was unsure given that I'd never heard of it, but I was pleasantly surprised. They have an impressively varied menu given the scale of the establishment and everything I ordered tasted excellent. A bit on the pricey side, but not at all by much and well worth the extra few dollars for the quality. Seating is a bit of an issue (at least while I was there), but there seems to be a back patio for warmer months.

I love the atmosphere in the Red Brick. I usually order a cappuccino and one of their treats (square or cookie, etc.). They often offer vegan or other dietary safe choices. I've never been disappointed. Their staff always smiles and are friendly and the clientele give it a cozy welcome feel. In the summer they also have a closed in patio in the back. If you want a place to have a chat with a friend over coffee and snacks this is a great place in downtown Guelph.

A wonderful little cafe located right in the middle of downtown. High quality drinks and food (thought I have not had too much of their menu). Service is quick (even during the busy morning rush) and always polite. Best part for me is the light, calm atmosphere that suits every time of day and every reason to be there, whether it's business or pleasure. (Also I love their playlists, always good tunes playing in this place.)

The cafe that's more than a cafe, it's the place where ideas begin, flourish, and mix with others, in the true fashion of the salons of Vienna at the turn of century. I go here for the great coffee and tea, but also for the great environment it has. It's great for any creative spirit to produce work, but if this is you too, just make sure to purchase enough to warrant your stay. Too many use this as a cheap office, and this will not be sustainable in the long term for them, so please buy enough to warrant your hours there! My favourite food menu item is the Curried Sweet Potato Soup with an iced Americano (or hot, in the winters).

The atmosphere is cool. Seems to take a long time to get what you ordered (though, I did order 6lbs of coffee beans, but I waited a long time). I feel like it used to be more chill, but the last time I was here they forbid me from sharing a pot of tea with a friend and refused to give me a second mug. I found that rule to be a bit strange.

I happened to be visiting Canada and saw this cafe on yelp. I really wanted to go to take a photo with their cute fox mural. I literally dressed up to match the fox's outfit and drove 20 minutes on my own to get there. I was very disappointed to see the mural was in a construction zone and it was blocked off. Aside from that I was pleasantly surprised by the warm welcomes in the coffee shop. The atmosphere was lovely too with people chatting at the tables by me. It seemed like a lovely place, just a shame that the construction was there.

Guelph's Best! Guelph has quite a few coffee shops especially in the downtown core (with at least one on every street corner) but none are as good as this one. As a student its a great place to study, but also a great place to sit and enjoy the beautiful decor in the back room. The place promotes conversation and is a very sociable environment. The only thing they lack is a larger selection of pastries. 5/5.

I absolutely love this cafe, the food, the drinks, the atmosphere, and the random events! It’s a great spot for dates, studying, reading, food, and coffee! Last time I went I got the medium roast coffee, then had the veggie panini combo for lunch. Everything was amazing! They even had live music that day by the Guelph orchestra, and it was such a lovely time. The staff here are always so nice!

The food is fine, but pricey. It's one of the only places where you can get some work done downtown with a cup of coffee. I was disappointed this time - when the menu says "fresh basil" it doesn't mean dried, I was expecting actual leaves of basil, especially when you're charging four dollars.

Best coffee shop in all of Guelph! Good to sit and work at, hang with friends, grab lunch, a snack, any variety of caffeinated beverages and even some alcoholic beverages. I typically order a chai latte, both the hot and cold versions are delicious. They rotate what's hanging on the walls, which is not only a great way to support artists but makes for a creative addition to the already perfect atmosphere, there's always something visually interesting somewhere on the walls.

And the latte was very hot and sweet and good. The vibe of the cafe is casual -- I was there on a Tuesday around 1:30pm and there were only a couple of other customers in there.

Quiet with great ambience and friendly staff. Interesting art work adorns the walls of this historic building. Love the high ceilings and clean washrooms. The good was all hot and tasty. The serving sizes were on the smaller side but a fair price. My coffee was very good. My only "complaint" (and this is just a personal preference) is the coffee "mug" was clear. Not sure why that annoys me but just prefer a proper coffee mug. Well worth a visit!!

Had the Nitro Cold Brew which was nice and ordered a breakfast burrito which was really good too (a little small). Unfortunately they failed on the delivery. Waited 40min for the burrito. Gave them time before finally saying something as they were busy, but they clearly forgot about my order as I recieved my food within 5 min after I notified them. They should have offered to compensate my order or something but got nothing but a quick sorry. Was a little disappointed by my overall experience thus the 2 star review

The Red Brick is my favourite place to do work in Guelph. I love that I can get a coffee or a cider, depending on my study mood! The internet works perfectly although there is a general lacking of electrical plugs, so be sure to charge up before you go. The back patio is gorgeous and I really enjoy that the dining room has a 7PM laptops-away rule. I look forward to catching some of the live music there I've heard so much about.

The closest breakfast option to the Statesman Hotel if eating in the hotel doesn't appeal. Certainly a popular spot with the takeaway coffee crowd but I was a little underwhelmed with my latte on two visits - it was weak and quickly lost its crema turning into a glass of unappealing light caramel-coloured liquid. The granola was a fairly standard offering served with strawberries and yoghurt and whilst nonetheless tasty could do with more fruit. A touch expensive at $18 for the granola and regular latte. The café is in a bland unassuming

This was my first visit to Guelph (from Toronto) and I found this cafe in particular to be really charming and cozy. Relaxed, nice menu. Latte was good and the cold brew. My partner had a curried soup he really enjoyed. There's a larger back area with more seating if you want to feel more at ease. We sat on the raised edge by the window. It was rainy and romantic. We played a killer game of Scrabble. Happy to return next time we're in town.

OMG what a wonderful surprise! The food, service and ambiance were all on point! Nicole was our server and she was on top of everything. Our glasses were never empty, and all of our food was made perfect. She recommended the mixed grill and said the steak was fantastic, so I tried it. Really cute, quirky but beautiful cafe located on a quiet side street. Coffee is currently $2.39 for small which is quite comparable to most cafes in area. Baristas were very warm, welcoming and friendly. Chairs are comfy for a long stay and tons of outlets and seating. Wifi has strong signals. Most importantly food and coffee were very good. Good for all day studying, coffee dates, and/groups.

I was recommended to start using their Coffee Card, since I come here so often buying Cortados and Flat Whites. Once I collected 10 Stamps, they only offered to reimburse me $2 off my drink purchase since it wasn't a Drip Coffee. This cafe is fantastic with such atmosphere and flavoured coffee. It fits right into downtown Guelph which is like a quaint European town. It's almost like being in Disney World. Parking may be a challenge although there are lots close by with free parking after 6 p.m. There is even free parking along some city streets if you don't mind a 5 to 10 minute walk. Today I had their panini which was excellent. The staff are very pleasant and helpful. She even knew I was looking for their wifi password before I could try to ask in between customers.

Great place to grab a coffee and chill. In the evenings the atmosphere is more social, often with entertainment. There are areas where computers etc are off limits after a certain time which alters the dynamic (in a good way!). Only downside is that is often quite busy and finding a place to sit can be a challenge.

Haven't been to the Red Brick in a while but it continues to be a favorite downtown Guelph meeting place. The place is always full of chatter and locals you know and it has one of the best cups of coffee in Guelph, along with some yummy baked goods, a small selection of wine and some craft beers. I know you can get other food to eat here but I haven't eaten there is quite some time - the soups and sandwiches were hearty and delicious.

This morning I ordered through their extremely convenient online ordering system but there was a glitch that had them appear open an hour early. This place has a great vibe. I had the mocha, it was fine but it was well worth the hour drive just sit in the place and hang out, really interesting combination of old and new design.

Nice coffee and snacks in a laid-back and pleasant atmosphere. Craft beer specials some days and a large selection of teas and coffees. Food is mainly rotating feature sandwiches and salads; they are alright, but a bit pricey for smaller portions. Free Wi-Fi and a really nice back patio during summer weather. Definitely one of my favorite cafes in Guelph!

Really enjoyed the vanilla chai tea! If you're planning to go to get some work done, make sure all your batteries are charged - the outlets are mostly covered up here, so you're unlikely to find a spot to plug in.

Ever since i lived in Guelph, 2013-2015, I would make a point to spend time at Red Brick Cafe. The atmosphere is one that's conducive to contemplation and conversation. They have great tasting food and an excellent coffee/tea selection. At times when it gets busy though, you sometimes have to assert your need for attention, but that's only if it is crazy busy. Recommended for coffee lovers and people looking for great conversation with friends or simply losing themselves in thought.

I’ve heard great things about this place so my friend and I went for tea. I was so incredibly disappointed. The atmosphere is messy and old. The chocolate chip cookie I had was horrible. Dry, bland, and almost inedible. I bought a tea that was served in a pot, with a cup, and a cookie. They gave me the three things without a tray. So I had to go find a seat and leave some of my purchases and then return to retrieve the rest of my purchases. The milk, cream, and sugar was at the front, so I then had to return with my tea cup to milk and sugar it. Why can’t they provide those things in the back room as well? Overall, I was very disappointed and will not be returning.

Red Brick is a delightful spot whether it's cold & snowy or warm & balmy. I've visited during the live evening music performances and been blown away by the excellent sound and comfort level of the back area space. One time while waiting for a friend, I sat outside and sipped my coffee while gazing at the beautiful architecture across the street. You can sit outdoors with your fur friend too as a water bowl is available. Washrooms are always clean and well stocked. The staff are super friendly & eager to serve you. The Red Brick continues to be one of my fav places to visit in Guelph!
