I've been a regular customer for the past 5 years. They have gone through some amazing transformations over the last 2 years when Jeremy and Toby took over running the place. Now that they are fully independent (as Cavan Coffee) I am very excited to see what comes next. Their pour-over coffee is amazing and they usually have some special single origin coffee available. Keep up the great work guys, you are by far the best coffee shop around!

We decided to look for a local coffee shop this weekend and found Cavan Coffee on Gordon. I had an iced caramel latte and it was delicious! Not too sweet, and not too watery. They even had coffee iced cubes so your drink doesn’t get diluted. My husband had a regular coffee which was a decent size and price as well. The customer service was amazing. Both team members took their time to carefully make our order and engage with us. We also tried a fruit bar which was deliciously gooey. It was almost closing time so there weren’t many options for baked goods at the time but I will definitely be back to try more! I had my eye on the brownie.

I haven’t been able to visit Cavan in person due to Covid, but I ordered beans from them. They are on the opposite side of town and their shipping is only $2.50. The decaf beans were awesome, so much rich flavour. Will definitely visit the shop in person once it’s safe to.

I moved to the area about a month ago, and Cavan has quickly become my go-to spot for great coffee and delicious vegan desserts. The coffee is dangerously good. The staff are lovely, and the atmosphere for everything from studying to a coffee date is perfect :)

Cavan coffee is a lovely place. I have been there on a few occasions and never had a problem until today. The customer service was unsatisfactory. I ordered a pour-over coffee for my mother and the barista asked "what kind? Theres a long list. You could have this regular drip coffee instead." My mother being the polite person she is, agreed to the drip coffee (even though this is not what she wanted). There was no line, so I'm not sure why the barista made us feel like it was something she was not interested in making for us. I love this place and will return, however, I hope this sort of thing doesn't happen again.

Has to be one of the best lattes and vegan treats I have had in Guelph. I love the options of gluten free and vegan, which I haven’t seen in most cafés here, and the atmosphere is very cozy with lots of seating. Will be for sure coming back!

They know their coffee. Amazing coffee, great staff. There is something about family run places which lends them a distinct appeal. The owner was there and he was very friendly too. We asked for a cold nitro brew but they had a little less than the full size so they gave it to us for no charge. it is a must visit if you like good coffee.

Hailing from Toronto with a seemingly endless supply of independent coffee shops, I was worried I wouldn't be able to find a quality coffee roaster closer to my new home. 100% the best stop for coffee I've ever been to in Canada. Camille was very sweet and we had a great conversation about bike routes. The business use to be a planet bean but they were looking to sell, so an employee and his 2 brothers bought the store and opened their independant cafe. Plus the interior is absolutely amazing. Third wave coffee spot in Guelph that is a must visit. They take their coffee seriously. You just need to have a chat with coffee roaster Rufus to hear his passion for coffee and fair trade. I had a really good chat with him when I visited. The Cortado I had came in the right size and there are retail beans as well as brewing equipment on offer too.

I like this place as an alternative for meetings besides the usual coffee shops and its location is good. And I like their selections, but what's tough to swallow is the high price for simple hot chocolate and desserts. I also don't like smelling so much like coffee when I leave. Expect to pay almost $10 for a drink and dessert.

This place embodies all the things people love about Guelph businesses and none of the things they hate. They have a bit of a hipster granola vibe but not in an aggressive or alienating way. The staff are super nice and incredibly knowledgeable about coffee/tea-isms - they'll happily discuss in great detail if you're interested, but if you're not that's also cool. They've created a really warm, welcoming atmosphere that draws a nice mix of clientele. The coffee and treats are super tasty and aesthetically pleasing. If you're in Guelph and looking to spend $5+ on coffee, definitely do yourself a favour and do it here.

Great place to stop and grab a coffee or stay and get some work done. Although I brew Yirgacheffe at home, I usually get a South end blend in store. This is something that was curated once Cavan took over ownership of the cafe. It’s a great cup of coffee. Can’t go wrong with a pour over or latte either. Love your love for coffee!

Lovely staff and delicious, gorgeous drinks. I love how the counter is open - you can see your drinks being made up close, and it's easy to have a nice conversation with the friendly baristas. My only request is that it would be nice to have some breakfast sandwiches to choose from. Thanks ????
