Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Great range of single origin coffees. They do all varieties of coffee beverages as well as some coffee-free options. My favorite is their pour-overs which they do from any of their beans that they sell basically.

House roasted coffees are very good. I tried both the medium and dark roast, both delicious in their own ways. Atmosphere is very new, clean, and trendy. Prices are steeper than most other shops. Would definitely go back.

Edit: I used to love this place but recently they’ve been shut down by Alberta Health and refuse to comply with health orders. New Keto breakfast Sandwich is great! I noticed on Facebook that wapiti bean co has a new keto breakfast sandwhich so I went in to check it out. The bun is light, fluffy, spongy and not crumbly with a hint of coconut oil. The bacon is quality and the cheddar nice & sharp. Then of course I ordered a oolong tea latte with 1/3 heavy cream, 2/3 water and some sugar free vanilla syrup. Love Wapiti Bean! And I really appreaciate being able to go out and order keto friendly food! Now I'm just waiting for keto friendly deserts like fate bombs, cheesecake, chocolate chip cookies or brownie's to show up on the menu. (Hint Hint! I know a really good chocolate chip keto friendly recipie)

Easily one of the worst coffee shops in town. Got a coffee asked for it black and the cashier responded if I wanted cream or sugar.... Anyways it was in the morning I can forgive that but got home tried the coffee and its on par with gas station coffee. Bought a pack of Tasmanian beans that were on sale at the same time and thought if I made it pour over at my house I'd be able to make it decent. Not a chance go to Ole Smokes or 55a

Sorry Wapiti Bean for only 3 stars. Loved the maple walnut muffin however the Chai Tea latte was waaay too weak as it has been the last few times even with the tea bag left in. This visit I shrank the cup size to a small thinking it would make the difference. ???? It didn't. Love the lemon poppy seed cake.

I ordered a vanilla latte and a breakfast sandwich. The sandwich itself was good, but the latte was very disappointing. It was cinnamon flavoured, cinnamon being the one flavour I cant stand, and it was served lukewarm at that. I tried adding vanilla oat milk and microwaving it, but I still couldn't get rid of the cinnamon taste, and ended up not drinking it.

The coffee is great but like the last four times I went in there no employees were wearing masks or anything. The last time I went to get my beans the store was closed for some public health notice. Now just to clarify, I know the pandemic has caused changes to the usual hours that places are open. That being said, my friend and I came in almost an hour before their new closing time on Saturday. We were greeted, and our orders taken; 2 iced coffees. Unfortunately there was no iced coffee left so the worker offered an alternative which was okay, we waited for a good 10 minutes in the dimly lit, empty, awkwardly silent cafe, and as we were waiting another worker came to turn the open sign off, 20 minute's before closing. When we did get our coffees there was no sugar or cream in them, the worker offered us cream and we got our own sugar, but the coffees tasted disgusting, we both took our drinks, left, threw them out, and went to Starbucks instead. First and probably last time going there, just an overall bad and uncomfortable experience.

Spent a lot of my time in GP working during the summer. Since I’m a lib dude from BC, when I can find time in between eating avocado toast and protesting for women’s rights, I enjoy a good cup of coffee, emphasis on “good.” All jokes aside, this place was a real life-saver while working in town. Good quality coffee, lots of options, and maybe the only place in town I could get a decent pour-over. Really one of the high points of my time spent there. And when I’m back in town, I’ll be sure to be back.

I had been very excited to visit this place after hearing amazing reviews around GP. However, my first visit was highly disappointing, I ordered a Chai Latte a classic that I judge every cafe based on - unfortunately they had none left so I opted for another classic a London Fog which I received cold and had paid for a 20oz that I poured into my 16oz cup and the contents fit perfectly. The tea itself lacked flavor, it simply tasted of lukewarm milk. I was very disappointed. That being said the cafe had a warm cozy environment, while also being simplistic and modern.

These are is the best beans in GP. I feel sorry for the competitors. It’s one thing to have a cafe that is pristine and cozy, but another thing to roast your own beans. Wapiti Bean Co gives you both, resulting in a wonderful customer experience. The sun streams into the cafe in the afternoon. It’s bright, hip, and cheery, and the beans back it up. Big glass canister full of ice lemon water is available, and they are recently offering live music from time to time. Bathrooms are clean and modern. My wife and I have met the owner and she knows her stuff. I would give Wapiti Bean 5 stars, but am leaving out one just because my experience with some of the teenage baristas was average at best. Maybe these are just some growing pains but this is my haunt from now on every time I come to GP (from out of town). Well done.

The industrial design and open atmosphere make it great for catching up with old friends, meeting clients or having a delicious cup of coffee while working on your laptop. Free WiFi here! They have a variety of freshly roasted beans. That is a big positive. As for food and drinks, despite giving them multiple shots, I think there are much nicer sandwiches to be had elsewhere and the drinks are never as good as I am expecting them to be. Despite the high price point on their coffee drinks, it's a better deal to just buy their beans and make your own drink at home. I'd give their grilled cheese a miss, despite the attractive $4 price it is disappointing.

Went today and the curly haired lady was so nice. I’ve been a few times and they are always helpful. The lady was friendly and chatted while she made my drink. I make sure I specifically stop by when I’m in town because I would rather support them over a chain. I didn’t catch her name but she deserves a big kudos. I always have to get non dairy and sugar free and am usually made to feel like it’s a bother at the other place but here she walked me through and my drink was perfect. Great start to a holiday!
