One of the best I ever tried, every meal bursts with a special taste! The atmosphere is really stunning with the lights and decorations, and the staff are super friendly and helpful, they even drew a smiley face with a flower on my receipt. Their menu is rich and full of different kinds of special meals, but I couldn't resist ordering that tomato bisque two days in a row because it was so tasty. They had a 25% off on burgers and other items on the first day so the supper was of a great value. Definitely recommend! No wonder why my friends come here every time they visit GP.

Overpriced food for a faux modern decor. Feels like I'm in a Michael's. Bread is often too hard and hurts the corners of your mouth, luxury food ingredients are lost in the blandness of their menu. Speaking of menus, you are often given a handful of menus that may or may not apply to the day you've gone in. I came shortly after Christmas and was crushed when I had decided on a food item off the Christmas menu only to be told that menu and another was not applicable anymore. Service is slow. Tea is good though!

If I could give no starts I would. I was waiting to be seated for 15 minutes, making direct eye contact with everyone "looking busy" behind the counter....when three men walk in and get seated immediately. Very poor customer service never going back again! Smart mouth waitresses very rude.

We stopped in for a lovers coffee and dessert. April Served us. She was such a joy to be with. The desserts were delightful all thanks to AJ. Our compliments to both April & AJ. Atmosphere there was just perfect. I am hoping that some toppings might be with royal icing instead of cream cheese. For those who do not like cheese cake or anything to do with cheese.

I love going here, and its even better since you can do curbside pickup now! The hardest thing about jeffries has always been getting eye contact with someone so you can order, or be seated. Lol just today I saw a set of 3 customers awkwardly eye contact searching so they could get seated????. A simple "Hi it will be at least 10 minutes before we can seat you, how many in your party?"... might have made them feel better. And since ordering at the counter or getting seated is usually a matter of who makes eye contact first, people can get their feathers ruffled when someone who came in after them gets attention and the ability to order first. Jeffries doesn't have that smile and make eye contact rule that places like starbucks have. So servers often have no idea who came in first, and there is no one place to line up to be seated/order. Go to their website, order online and choose curbside pickup and your problem is solved! Just call when your at the building and they bring your order to you! Desserts here are a work of art! .... I did end up going inside to pickup my drink, and there were two different customers not wearing masks wandering around looking a little belligerent, but its very hard for businesss to call individual's like these out. All the employee's I saw were wearing face masks ???? properly. By far my favorite food place in town! Seriously good stuff.

So I went back in January with my boss and higher ups in the company I work for. I had the salmon, and it was honestly the best salmon dinner I’ve ever had! It had a basil sauce, I think it was basil, but the flavour was out of this world. I wish I had the recipe for that sauce. The service was amazing, the atmosphere friendly, and the decor was gorgeous. I have been ordering that salmon every week trying to get to that sauce again, lol! Honestly, I wish I could give them a higher review.

The place is so cosy and welcoming, you feel yourself home. The atmosphere is so romantic and classy. The staff are super friendly and kind. Tried their red velvet cup cake and the Oreo loaf but unfortunately they’re dry not moist at all, I believe they were old too. That was not satisfying specially on a first try. Their latte was 7/10, can be much better. It’s like a beautiful lady outside but not inside. ????

Unfortunately the head staff was not very friendly that previous time I walked in -50 from my close hotel to the cafe. I knew I looked a little rough from being bundled up to the nines and taking a trek through the snow BUT, home girl could have been having a off day ????????‍♀️This is hands down my favorite cafe in AB. I wish the owner would open one in Edmonton ???? My Maple Latte and butternut squash soup was amazing. As well as my epic eof chocolate fudge cake. I honestly cant rave enough about this cafe's menu

We are new to Grande Prairie and decided to support locally through Covid and tried out this beautiful cafe. So happy we did! I had the grilled Chicken Pesto Panini and my husband had the Cubans and we will def be ordering it again. He wasn’t in love with his Cubans but mine was fantastic! Their menu is extensive, we will most likely try their catering for family visits and or parties!

I’ll be honest we came here once a year or so ago and the food was underwhelming at that time… However several friends love it so I gave it another go and it was delicious! We went at a very busy time but it was quick and easy to wait for a table, we browsed all the goodies up front where there’s some really neat stuff, and then we had friendly, fast service as well. It’s beautiful inside too! Highly recommend them!

Ordered a bacon burger, it came over cooked and tasted horrible. Might of had 3 bites. Told the waitress whom mentioned it to the manager. Manager said to give me 15% off my meal ...WHAT ??? So I paid 21 dollars for a burger I didn’t eat. Poor management call. I will NEVER be back there and do not recommend this place to anyone. Would of gave no stars if I could have.

I went for a light dinner, there were two other tables with customers and I had to go to the counter for a menu. We waited a considerable amount of time for the meal to come (soup and quesadillas). The soup was excellent as was the quesadilla. The restaurant was clean, as were the washrooms. The price, including a 6 oz glass of wine was reasonable.

My experience here was aggressively mediocre. The coffee was good, the atmosphere was hipster and cute. I had crepes for brunch and they were pretty tiny with nothing else accompanying them. They tasted fine it just wasn't filling. The service was definitely the worst part of the visit. We arrived within 10 minutes of opening and there were only 2 other tables. From seating to food arriving was just shy of 50 minutes. When my crepes arrived they were missing whipped cream and had to be sent back.

Really disappointed with today's lunch special- tandoori chicken. The tandoori sauce tastes more like ketchup chips than tandoori. My boyfriend ordered a torta that came out the first time without the steak and the second time with burnt steak. At 15$ for a sandwich and some ruffles we won't be back which is really too bad because from what I've heard this place used to be great :(

First and foremost we ordered lattes and the waitress gave us to go cups instead of actually sit in cups, I was really looking forward to the aesthetics. Secondly I wasn’t pleased with the plates of choice reason being it looked the dog dishes, and the food was poorly prepared, the Curry Chicken Apple Fold was Assembled sloppy, I had to personally use my hand to reconstruct the meal. Third, the Egg Nog Cheesecake was delightful at first.. at first.. the cheesecake was decorated with whip cream, drizzled with caramel, and had egg nog poured onto of everything, sounds delicious right! The eggnog actually made the whip cream extremely runny, and once the caramel and whip cream was devoured, the cheesecake left had the consistency of canned dog food, and tasted like it too. I personally think this location was opened too early, hopefully they step up their game in the future.

Amazing food located right across the street from my hotel. The atmosphere had a lofty home feel and the service is excellent and friendly. Becareful ordering the large portions of soup, salad and sandwiches because it's Alot of food. I recommend the maple latte and the cheese and herb tea biscuits! I will recommend this to anyone where there is a cafe location.

The food here is delicious! The menu is simple and provides many options. The coffee is amazing as well! The environment is so chic and modern. There are huge windows allowing for natural light to flood the building. At the front they have a lot of neat artisanal and house made treats and sauces and lots of others. There are local and handmade items for sale as well including soaps, home decor, and housewares.

Tried to get a hold of someone to cater an event for over 2 weeks, left several voicemails and even exchanged messages over Facebook. They said that they would call me that day and never did. I tried messaging again today and they ignored it. Says a lot about the people behind a business. I hate to write a negative review but you can't grow and learn without honest feedback. If you are unable to provide the service requested at least communicate that rather than ignoring a person.

Went today for a late lunch with my wife to Jeffrey s. Once I side we were greeted by the hostess and asked for a table on the patio. She stated she could not seat us because she felt the staff needed to catch up ?. Would we be able to be seated at one of the many open tables out side and wait till the staff had caught up. No was the response?? She has stated the a few other people were waiting and that we should wait till the staff could catch up... unless people were waiting in there cars we saw no one and what harm is it to wait while seated for the staff if willing to do so.???? Dropped the ball Jefferys we are regular s or not know..

I gave it 3 stars because I was a BIG fan of their previous West side location, and although the new location is definitely appealing to the eye, the food seems to have gone down hill and the ambiance has changed to be more fancy as apposed to down to earth. It seems pricey and bland now. The service was good/meh, but that’s okay since they have only just opened and are getting some new staff worked in. This review is based on my latest visit of the new place. I will go again, but will be looking out for other healthy options in town.

The food was a hit and our guests are still talking about it. The wagyu beef was amazing as were all the elements of the watermelon. I look forward to hosting more events at Jefferies and will most certainly be back.

Usually it’s superb but this time it was very off, especially the service. My boyfriend and I came in for lunch and when we entered the building we were waiting to be seated for a while after a couple of employees acted as though they didn’t see us even though they smiled back at me. But when a lady did come along she was very nice and sat us down. About 15 minutes later a server came by and asked us if we had been helped after she had walked by a couple of times. We had ordered a lunch special steak sandwich medium well and a half size of the Italian pesto grilled chicken panini with a side of Caesar salad. When our food came, a different server brought it to us, but it looked amazing like always except the sandwich was missing the chips and pickles as well as it was the wrong sandwich; it was turkey. The steak was cooked over well done and was very tough. When we caught our servers attention I told her about my sandwich and she went to get me a new one but she never asked how everything else was. When she brought back the sandwich the bread was really hot like it had been microwaved. (later on in the day when I went to go eat my leftovers, the bread was very tough) Nobody had checked on us and we never saw our original server anymore until we were done and she brought us the bill and told us that we could go pay at the front. At this time I also had asked for a to go container. When we went to the counter to pay, we had informed the lady that our bill was punched in under the wrong server as the name “Frankie” was on the bill but Frankie wasn’t our server as I know Frankie from school and the lady bluntly said “so what do you want me to do about it?” And we said that we would like to know who our server is because she isn’t Frankie and described what our server looked like and again she looked at us and bluntly said again “so what do you want me to do about it?”. At this time I had told her that I want to know who my server is because I would like the tip to go to my server and not the person who the bill is under and then she responded bluntly again with “well the tips are put into a pile and are split equally”. I feel like this employee should not be dealing with customers and I feel like she could’ve approached my questions in a more professional and more pleasant attitude. In addition, the bill had “1/2 size turkey sandwich” on it.... not Italian grilled pesto chicken panini so this gave me the impression that my order was not taken correctly at the beginning as well. Yes I can confirm that this was on Tuesday March 6, 2018.

This place is on my top 3 best places I've ever eaten. Everytime i work out of town im always after somewhere amazing thats not a huge chain restaurant. Ive probably eaten here 8 times this week and everything is so good. Ive had the burgers, ribs, soups, salads, deserts. Amazing. This could end up being the only place i want to ever eat at again while working in GP. Servers are super nice and friendly too! The california salad and green apple salads are amazing sides.

This was the worse restaurant I have ever been too. The table was dirty from the last people. The glasses were dirty. They cross contaminated the potatoes with my bison burger. For a 22 dollar burger I would have expected more than a concrete bun and what tasted like Thanksgiving cranberry sauce on my bison. The potatoes were bland. The homemade ketchup was the only decent part of the dish. My girlfriend had a salad with a dry kind of rubber for chicken and hard cold bacon. Probably the worst 45$ I have ever spent. Worse yet I am still hungry. I will never come back. I wouldn't even do someone the displeasure of giving them a free gift card.

Lovely place. I often pass by this place as I visit a bank near by. Finally, I spent time for light meals in here. Mood in the cafe was really good. Not too noisy, still have peaceful flow goes on inside. The brightness thorough glass wall spreads over the entire restaurant by shining its unique decoration. Meals are authentic. WOW. There are a wide selection of dishes. Some of the menu are great for vegiterians. I normally had bad lucks to choose restaurants. But, this one was definitely best choice.

This was my first visit here and I was very pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere and decor is great, and the food was amazing. They have some really unique flavors and designs in their food. Finally, the customer service was phenomenal. Our waitress came outside to catch us as we were leaving because we had noticed the receipt was printed poorly, so she gave us a new one! I was very impressed by this establishment and their wonderful staff.

I've gone a couple times now. The service tends to be a bit slow, but the servers are nice and I've always been seated pretty quick. The first time I had spaghetti, which wasn't great. One of the meatballs had that hard overdone quality. My sister had a sandwich that was really good. The second time I had eggs bacon benny which was pretty good. Lots of hollandaise which was great (I hate when you get a benny and they skimp on it). Some of the potato chunks were a bit big for brunch side potatoes, but they tasted good.

This place was beautiful. My husband's work Christmas party was held here and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The atmosphere was very nice, with unique decorations. There were two bathrooms, both were small but nice. Everything in the bathroom was automatic though and with it being so small, you stood up from the toilet and activated the paper towel dispenser while simultaneously making the toilet flush! Still very good experience, I would not hesitate to go back.

Had lunch there with my wife and daughter. My daughter has eaten there many times and enjoyed it. My experience on the other hand wasn’t to pleasant. I ordered a chicken Ceaser Salad and expected a nice garlicky Ceaser Salad with warm grilled chicken on top. Instead I got Romain lettuce with a vinaigrette style dressing on it that almost tasted sweet (like a raspberry vinaigrette dressing), and the chicken was cold with grill marks on it, like it had been cooked the day before or that morning. So when the server came and ask how everything is I said I didn’t like the salad since it didn’t taste anything like a Ceaser Salad, so she apologized and took it away. She then asked if I’d like anything else and I said “no”. She then offered me some Garlic Nan bread to appease my need for garlic and I accepted. It as well had no taste of garlic, and these visits from the server were about 15 minutes apart even though the restaurant was only half full. So when she brought us our bill she said that she discounted the bill for the salad. So I thought that meant she has removed the salad from the bill. NO! She gave me $3.00 off of a $16.00 salad that I didn’t eat because I didn’t like it. If I was at The Keg or Moxies or Earl’s they would have apologized and removed that salad from the bill. By this time I was a little upset (Ceaser salad that tasted like it had raspberry vinaigrette on it and cold chicken, slow service and still had to pay for the salad I didn’t eat). I still paid for the thing left a tip and proceeded to leave. Before leaving my daughter wanted to buy a cookie for her son at their side counter so we waited at that counter for ten minutes 10 minutes before anybody helped us. Finally I called into the kitchen where I saw people working. A man finally came out to help us and I thought ‘this is my opportunity to say something about my meal’, so I did and he proceeded to tell me that “we don’t have the typical type ‘creamy’ Ceaser salad dressing and if you want warm chicken on your salad we would have to charge more money to cook it fresh for each salad and if you want quicker service we would also have to charge more if we hired more staff”. By this time I was fuming (and I’m not the type of person that gets mad) So he finally (reluctantly) gave me the money back for my salad and we left, very disappointed. By the way, he said he was the owner of the restaurant which makes the whole experience much much worse.

I went here with my family today and was utterly disappointed by the service. We were greeted 15 minutes after arrival, and after we ordered the drinks the server came back and asked which size we all wanted, a question I thought should have been asked during the order. She did that 3 times. My sister order the penne without any toppings, repeated it twice and still had full toppings on the pasta. Same with the sandwich my other sister ordered. the server didn’t even offer to take the pasta back and just brought a side plate for her to pick it out, cheap. For desert I was brought a cake with a fingerprint in it. It was disgusting. terribly slow service, and the waitress needs better listening skills.

I will not go back there. The service is awful and the waitresses are snooty. The only reason this is 2 stars is because the desserts are beautiful and the drinks are top notch. I have been to this location twice. The first time my bf and I had brunch and the food was pretty good, tasted fresh. The waitress at first gave us a regular menu even though it was 10am on a Sunday and I had to remind her of that so we could get the breakfast menu. Then the second time I went there was to have coffee with a friend. I had a chai latte and I must say it was absolutely delicious but we had been there for an hour or so and only was checked on once or twice, so when we were ready to leave I left a $20 on the table for our drinks which were only about $6 each and we left. Well once we left the building and almost got to our car the waitress ran outside and was yelling "EXCUSE ME EXCUSE ME DID YOU PAY YOUR BILL!!!!???" Like a lunatic. Yes girl check your TABLE. It was extremely rude.

I recently dined in the new location for the first time (compared to the old location) and was very happy with the menu. The menu is fresh, seasonal and love the flavour combinations! However, carried over from the old location is lack of trained staff. My specific questions about the coffee were met with "it's a dark roast" and after waiting 20 or more minutes for our food with only 2 other tables in the restaurant we were told "the toast was taking a while". Numerous times I am excited to eat at Jeffrey's, but my experiences with the service I have received are so low that it deters me from wanting to come again. I hope training and knowledge can become an asset for this restaurant, as I love supporting local!

Please Jeffrey's help those ladys first who knows what will possibly happen if you don't. Never have I ever been in this situation and the person who was clearly not there first politely let's the waitress know that someone was there first before them and should be served first, unless it's a woman. See theres something wrong here. Oh well I guess this is what they were talking about. So I'll just wait here. Yes I called the group of men ladys. And when I said excuse me i was told to wait my turn.

We used to love Jeffries for their vegan options! However, the last time we went we were informed there were no vegan options even though the vegan symbol was right next to the description…..super disappointing since eating out is limited for those with lactose allergies.

Don't come here with a large group - the tall chairs are easily the worst chairs I've had the discomfort of sitting on. The butter chicken - this has taken the new title for worst butter chicken in Alberta. It bore no resemblance to any butter chicken I've seen in the past, not even in passing. Cubano sandwich was fine, a bit dry even with the dip. Salads, soup, and stir-fry were fine. Overall, the experience was fine, but a bit more of a gamble on quality for the price than I'd prefer.

Food is always delicious; however; I think poor FOH service is really costing this business. I wish they delivered because I would eat the food often but I can not tolerate the service at this place and puts me in such a bad mood that my experience is ruined. I tried to give it another chance on the weekend... I stood at the front door for fifteen minutes and not one staff member acknowledged me but they had time to walk past me over and over for fifteen minutes and ignored me and I ended up walking out cause I don’t give my hard earned money to people like that. This is just one instance of many I could list about their FOH.

The espresso was excellent, the charcuterie platter much less so. A reasonable selection of cheese, but a monochromatic and slim selection of actual charcuterie, coupled with dodgy fruit (the grapes especially had gone) made for a sub par experience. I'd like to see this place thrive, and I would like to see more places you can try cheese and meat in an elevated way. Better quality control at the pass, and some tweaks to the actual selection and pairing of the meats would bring this right around.

We were greeted very warmly by the staff as soon as we walked in the doors. They took our name down and we waited less than 10 minutes for a table (even though it was really busy). Our waitress was awesome and didn’t mind us staying there a while! Thanks for having such a welcoming place to enjoy a great tasting meal!

Understaffed. Took forever to have order taken. Ordered meatball soup. Soup came with no meatballs. Asked for soup as appy it came with main meal. Main meal was a burger which was over cooked to utter dryness. The crispy potatoes were soggy as cam be. Waitress didn't bring us any drinks. When told of problems she apologized and advised only one cook on. Overall poor experience. I have had 2 very good experiences previously which is why I am giving 3 stars.

Coffee is good, but the sandwiches are all bread and served with potato chips... I think people are past the days of eating 2 pounds and bread and potato chips at a nice meal out. Could be a great place.

This place is decorated nice. The food was horrible and the service was the worst. It took 10 minutes for them to bring us a gingerale. My daughter had a hamburger and the inside looked like sawdust. It tasted horrible and when we asked the waitress what was in it, she had no product knowledge. Totally disappointed in the whole lunch experience. Will not go back again.

Great place to go for a meal or for coffee, Jeffrey's has a unique atmosphere that sets it apart from other restaurants in town in a good way. The menu is where Jeffrey's really excels by having many options you want to try so you won't just settle into the first food you ate like at some restaurants.

Very unimpressed. Contacted this company by both phone and email several times over the course of a week regarding the catering of a small birthday party. Even left a message with cafe staff. Never received a response beyond an auto generated email. While I do not live in GP, my family does, and they have used this catering service a couple of times with sucesss. Disappointed with terrible customer service.

Coffee and breakfasts were fantastic. Tried 3 coffees; all delicious in their own ways. Great selection of food made with fresh yummy ingredients. I love the pea sprouts on the breakfast dishes. Deserts all looked amazing. Atmosphere is trendy and clean. Washrooms are elegant. Within the cafe is a little shop where you can buy unique household gadgets and local products. Will definitely be going again.
