Worst curbside retail experience yet. Domicile has been sieged by ants over the long weekend, so an order was placed on Sunday at 1am. Long weekend delays, fine, order is ready on Thursday for pickup. I drop by, and wind up waiting a full hour as others come and go, recieving their orders promptly. No matter, I am just happy to be getting served. When my attendant arrives they apologise for the wait, and explain that they had to repick my order, which caused the delay. Cool, I ask them to leave it in the back to make my way home. When I arrive home I check the bag and receipt and find a bunch of random supplies I did not purchase totalling to double what I had already been charged via Credit. Very confused, I return only to have no area for customer service, so I enter the building to be yelled at by 3+ employees while I explain that I need customer service, I am told to wait outside. 5 minutes later Janice comes out to try to help, god bless, but by that point I have waited 4 days, a whole hour in their parking spot waiting for a pick, and I have to return into the chaos that is curbside pickup to be yelled at and have to wait an additional 10 minutes for my order to be picked manually by Janice. She deserves a raise, but everyone who yelled at me honestly deserves a reprimanding because there is literally no signage outside directing customers to customer service - literally everything is on your company, yet I am being yelled at for trying to receive what you have already accepted payment for... Maybe management deserves a lashing, the workers seemed to be incredibly stressed, which can only be attributed to mismanagement. Avoid Canadian Tire during lockdowns. They can't even manage their own ERP to keep up with customer demand, so their employees don't even have a chance to do their jobs well. A truly shameful day in retail. I will not be returning, it isn't worth the stress, quite frankly.

For the population of KL this Canadian tire is quite small, I came from half the size of town with a cdn tire three times its size.... So needless to say I didn't find any of the important things I was actually looking for...

Didn't like the customer service for automotive. Rude and confusion between workers. When I called to check if my order was put in because it didn't go through the same day when I was in. I was told over the phone " Do you think your order will arrive overnight?"- I wasn't even asking for the status lol I was only asking if the order was put in. A few days later I get a call saying the rims arrived so I booked an appointment to have them put on. After handing over the car and a wait of 1.5 hours I was told the rims didn't come in so we can't do the service and as soon as I am about to take my car and go home they say we found the rims lol then another 30-40 min later they say sorry the rims you ordered doesn't fit your car, which is weird because the store manager who put in the order clearly told me these will fit your car and tire size( Which I understand could be a mistake because you won't know until you tried to put them on your car but Once I tried to return the rims they even tried to say we are gonna charge 10-20% fee for restocking) like cmon guys really, you make a mistake and the customer has to pay. Thank god they waved that because after spending 3 hours there and getting nothing done I was about to lose my mind.

TLDR; Spent a combined total of about 5 1/2 hours and ended up leaving the second day with the exact same setup I drove in with 4 hours earlier. The worst customer service and automotive experience I've ever had. Thursday. Blow tire. Put on spare. Drive 50km and make it to Mattawa. Friday morning. Go into North Bay. Go to Canadian Tire. Tell them Id like 2 new rims and 2 new tires. Guy continuously asking what's on my car now, and I tell him it doesn't matter because I want new rims and tires that fit the 16 inch rim... I had 15 inch rims before (it's factory 16). Sure enough, I finally tell him and he gives me the same dimensions of tire from the 15, but on a 16, which means it doesn't fit properly and rubs when I turn or hit a bump. Took about 2 hours to get 2 tires. Monday. 12:30pm Explain the tire situation. They're gonna replace them with the correct tire. Explain that I also want 2 new rims and tires on the back, so everything matches...also an alignment. Estimated time is 60-90 minutes. I live 6 hours away so nowhere to go. Decide to walk and get food. 1:45. Get a call. "So we're putting on 2 tires?". No. Explain they're replacing 2 and installing new rims and tires in the rear...and the alignment. Apparently the guy forgot to turn the page. Finds it. Estimated time 60-90 minutes. 2:45. Get a call. The tires they were gonna put on only have 3 in stock. They're gonna upgrade my tires for free. Great. Estimated time 60-90 minutes. 3:30 Get a call. The tires they were gonna upgrade to aren't the right size. They'll check for more and call back. 3:45 Arrive at Canadian Tire They have no tires that will fit my car (even though the guy showed me a list of tires earlier and refused to put the stock 195/55/16 size on). They decide they're just gonna put what I had when I drove it in and I should go to a performance tire place if I want tires. (...it's a ford fiesta with stock everything) 4:15pm The mechanic is finally finished putting my original tires back on, fills them with air, and drives it out. I now have to drive for hours with 2 different tire sizes, 2 different tire types (all season front and winter rears), and the tires possibly damaging my car.

It's just a waste of time shopping at CT: - the website is incredibly slow and laggy; - the mobile experience (Chrome for Android) is awful; - the item availability on the website in never up-to-date; - the item locations are often not where stated on the website; - there is usually 1 or 2 staff members who can assist you with picking up an online order; the rest are just being bored doing nothing; - you cannot redeem you CT Money via Phone Lookup at self-checkout at this store, - what's the point of CT Money then?

Long time customer of the store, purchased a kids bike and the bearings in the pedal mechanism fell out. Bike is 3.5 months old. I didn't have my receipt and was told that they can't warranty it. I asked if they can look up the receipt in their system, I was told they couldn't. I asked if they could look it us using the rewards system, they said no. I left with the bike, instead of paying to have the bike repaired I went to wal-mart and purchased a new bike for my 5 year old. Decided to call corporate customer relations for Canadian Tire and ask the same questions and was told different answers. They said that the receipts can be looked up if I had paid debit, credit and or used rewards within 12 months which I did. Called back to the local Canadian Tire and they do some backtracking saying that it was just the individual store policy to look up the receipts or not. They then asked if I wanted the bike repaired and I said no, refund or store credit, they said no. Bike was not needed after buying a new one elsewhere. It only takes the one bad service experience to loose a customer.

Terrible customer service from the auto shop. Treated very rudely by two of the senior staff members there as soon as we walked in (I believe one was named Dave). And they put one of our tires on wrong! The tread is facing the opposite direction as it is supposed to be. And they didn't balance our tires, though they charged us for it! Other staff who do not work in that department were helpful but I will NEVER take a vehicle here ever again.

If I can, I should give them Zero rate!!! My engine light was on and shew Misfire. They charged me 2 hours for the first time and said no time to continue, and 1.5 hours for the later time. They charged me labour for about $450. The technician told me he took off the air intake valve and found it's leaking on the back and don't promised it's the reason for misfire. And he also told me it's about $800 to replace it. But I told him there was no code shows this intake problem. I refused to replace it after paying $180+ for the second checking. I decided to check it myself. And according to the information from Google, the symptoms of the relay problem is very closed to my car. I went to buy a relay @ $20 from Napa, and everything is gone. Now I have driven my car for more than 1000km, and there is no engine light on again. During repairing it myself, I found some other issues, the ABS connector and the relay of cooling system were not connected well that caused new codes. And it's good after my reconnecting them. So the Canadian Tire technician has really poor knowledge to diagnose the problems. They may create more problems after repairing. Do not go to ask them diagnose and repair your car in the auto service department of Parry Sound. I also disputed my case to the manager and the customer care Dept of the Canadian Tire, but no any feedback after almost a month. No customer care at all.

I would rate one star if I could, but that's not an option. So I'll give the one star to the cashier at the till when you leave, she was really nice and quick, thank god. I booked an appointment at the beginning of October for October 19th, for an oil change before winter. I booked for 10:00am and I got there about 9:50am to check in and wait for my oil change. I went and walked around the entire store and then went to check to see where it was before I left to walk around outside. It wasn't even in yet, I checked the time and it was about 10:35am... I went for a walk and headed back to check on it at about 11:30am. I got back and it was still in so I sat and waited... And waited and waited and waited until 1:00pm when I couldn't wait any longer and went to the desk to ask roughly how much longer as it had been 3 hours for a simple synthetic oil change... Which apparently turned into a tire rotation and battery check in which I didn't even know was happening... The guy came back and said there were a couple things noted, I said that's okay I don't have time today so please just bring it out. He went and let them know and I waited by the desk about another 10 minutes. I finally had paid and left, I got in my vehicle and it was 1:27pm. I fully understand why it would take longer for an oil change with tire rotation and battery test BUT what I don't understand is why the tire rotation and battery test were even done as it didn't say that when I signed the paper. I also don't understand how that could take 3 hours to do when I had an appointment booked and was told and promised on my bill that it would be done by 11:30am. A reasonable amount of time for the above to be done. I'm also curious why I wasn't called to the front when the mechanic found the "issues" with my vehicle. I wasn't told about anything until I asked how much longer it would be till my vehicle was done... I'm assuming that's what I was waiting forever on considering I was watching absolutely no one touch my vehicle for the hour and thirty minutes I watched and waited in there waiting area... All in all I will not be returning as this isn't my first negative experience at this Canadian Tire service center.

In my opinion, PEOPLE from my own experience check your fluids after doing oil change etc.I brought my car in to the shop they flushed my power steering without authorization and DIDN'T FILL IT back up. A month later i had bought a used car and the old owner bought it to Canadian tire the day before i bought it and the next day i checked the power steering fluid and sure enough its bone DRY!so its clearly common practice at this shop to upsell or make you come back.Really I am not sure what the motive is behind that but it is disgusting. This could cause extensive damage to your car and its not safe.FYI MY CARS don't have power steering leaks .I WOULD never take my car their again not even for a tire change.RATED 0

We were not aloud to enter because we had a small dog in our arms. It's a scolding hot day out and they sell pet supplies, the dog is not on the ground nor is there open food within the structure. It's very sad at this day and age that they would rather have patrons leave their animals in the car rather then bring them in for a few minutes. It's cottage country people aren't front around here and are passing through, sometimes you don't have the option to leave an animal at home. The way the employee "Joe" ( after reading reviews could be Jim, ridiculously tall guy, the employees could have lied when I asked his name) handled the situation was not only personally rude but extremely unprofessional and represents Canadian tire in a very distasteful way. I brought my minivan in here to fix because I had noise in the front end they told me that my passenger front bearing needed replacing and that it had the wrong size bolts on it. They estimated to repair it for $500. I told them to give me my van back. Reluctantly they gave it back to me. So I brought it to St. Jean Auto Services, North Bay. They checked it right away within an hour and said it was only three bolts that were loose, They tightened the bolts and it was good as new. I just went to this store today and was told to put a mask on. I explained I was exempt and they told me to leave unless I wore a mask. Their staff are completely unaware this is a major human rights violation and I will be reporting this to the Ontario human right tribunal tomorrow. I may try calling a manager first and report them if I’m not satisfied. However from reading the reviews it appears this is an ongoing problem and something must be done to educate these people. Anyone reading this with a disability, and a lawyer go to this store; you may get money for being treated like this. I certainly feel like I should get compensation and will be happy when they are forced to let me in without a mask. I realize it’s an isolated area but there’s internet, there’s just no excuse for ignorance and violating my rights or anyone else’s.

Got a new battery installed here and you need to take a couple things off to get the battery in and out, well they took my HEADLIGHT out thinking they could get it in that way (?) and didn’t put the screws back in! It is unfortunate that the only way they will let you purchase anything from inside the store is via credit card and online which some of you may understand is not an option for all of us. So I called the store and asked if they could simply allow me to pay for the brakes in the garden centre because they are allowing debit purchases in that area. The response was sorry you cannot purchase anything why don't you ask a family member or a friend to use their credit card and you will pay them back. Unfortunately I have no friends right now in this area and my family hasn't talked to me for 10 years and I need brakes for my car. I called the auto parts store not so far from Canadian Tire and they were more than happy to allow me to purchase using my debit card at the door. Needless to say, Canadian Tire has forever lost my current business and any future business I may have intended to give them. A person can acquire anything in a Canadian Tire store pretty much anywhere. You can also use a debit card with any of their competitors who carry the same inventory. You would think during these times of COVID that as business such as this would have tried just a little harder to help the little guy they claim to support, it's not like I was asking for a discount just a different payment option.

Canadian Tire is my go to store when I want tools or recreational toys. I find things easy to locate by aisle using the website, the prices are competitive and they seem to have alternatives if what I'm looking for isn't available. I don't recommend getting any automotive work done at any Canadian Tire, however. It's overpriced and not always the best workmanship.

Terrible experience at the Canadian Tire store in St. Boniface in Winnipeg, MB. I was appalled by the the way I was treated. I felt as though I was profiled by the security guard as a thief. And when I expressed this to him he laughed. He sought me out and stepped in front of me to make me leave my child's diaper bag at the customer service desk. Not only this but he escorted me to the desk and stood there until they had my toddlers Star Wars diaper bag. I couldn't have felt any more like a criminal. This was all within 5 minutes of entering the store. I am a 34 year old male who was having an enjoyable evening shopping with my wife and 2 sons, until entering this store. I am going to be repeating this story to anyone that will listen and am completely disappointed as I usually enjoy shopping at Canadian Tire. I'm sure it will be some time before I even think about shopping there again.

I was so fed up with this crazy freezing rain and snowy weather we have that I went to Canadian Tire and I bought a cover for my windshield for my automobile. I am so tired of scraping. The first night I put it on there was a tornado wind but I managed to put it on even in the wind. I thought if it stays on overnight in this Gale then it's a good item. It stayed on! Went there for fix on a flat tire( the only place open 8pm) waited for 45 min and then the guy at the front desk came to me and said the tire can't be fixed. I said no thank you just put my tire back-but it was off air so they put the spare tire. They charged me 26 CAD for that and guess what. Next morning I went to mr lube and they fixed the tire for 10 min.(easy fix). So I will say it again if you guys do not want to feel like someone is trying to steal yoir hard earn money just go to a different place woth more honest service.

I once bought a bike here which I still have, it is so poorly built and I've found USED parts on this supposed "new bike" which is costing me an arm and a leg because of poor construction. Had to stop by the automotive centre before leaving Killbear as I had a flat tire on a rental car. The car did not have any tools in order to switch out the tire with a spare so I had to call a tow truck to come with the proper equipment to put on my spare. Drove to Canadian Tire to get my tire plugged so that I could drive the 4 hours back home and they told me that they can fix the tire but refused to put the tire back on my car. They said that they wanted to go home (it was around 4pm and they close at 5) and I explained that I would not be able to drive back home without their help. I even asked if I could just borrow the tools for 10 minutes to put the tire on myself and they said no and to find another way to get my tire on. The customer service here is horrible. They give you dirty looks and speak to you with so much attitude. I honestly have never been spoken to so rudely at a store in my life. If you ever need to get your car fixed, I would honestly recommend that you choose to go somewhere else. And looking at other reviews, there seems to be a pattern of the auto centre being rude and incompetent.

Also, I've changed my review rating to reflect this! As constructive feedback though I will say that the young boys working the parts desk are very unknowledgeable and are evidently lacking customer service experience. They leave you standing there for an unacceptably amount of time and are not helpful. This is based on several different occasions. Very quick to dismiss you rather then help try to navigate the issue and find a suitable resolution. All in all a good ending to an initially very frustrating situation.

Got my car worked on there today. This morning they said there were no appointments until the next day and then I drop it off and they say well maybe we can have a look at it turns around they looked at it and fixed it in a few hours. The problem was the horn they installed wasn't working properly and the serpentine belt came off after the alternator they put on. I was going to put the belt on myself but I noticed the air conditioning belt was still on there and it was a difficult task to remove it then put the serpentine belt on and put the AC belt back on so I took it to Canadian Tire to have them look at the horn anyway. I got a bill for a starting charging inspection of $35 and a bill for an air conditioner compressor belt for 5 0.33. I get in the car I drive at home the air conditioner don't work now and the horn still doesn't work. Not happy will change my review if tomorrow they fix everything

Staff are sometimes a little weird when asking questions. I spend some time with the garage intake person and asked where I could find lightbulbs he directed me to the parts counter. This was fine but once arrived at the parts counter it seemed more like I was an inconvenience to the person at the counter trying to figure out what kind of lightbulb for my car, even though I had the light bulb in hand to install. I ended up going on my own using the display signage pc and going through the computer to find what bulb I needed. I tried him a second time after I believed I had found what bulb I needed and he still more or less dismissed me. Does not make me want to shop here again.

For having tire in the name, the service, responsiveness, and pure customer experience sure is terrible when dealing with Canadian tire for anything tire related. A few months ago I got a set of 4 tires replaced. I left my car for the day with the assurance that the work would be done. 2.5 hours prior to closing I get a call, tires just came in and we don't have time to get them on, it will be done tomorrow. I asked, can you not have someone stay a few extra minutes and get the job done as promised? Answer was no. Now I recently went back to get a tire leak repaired, as the tire warrenty promises free repair. Again they said they can't do it today and could Possible do it tomorrow if I leave the car for the entire day. Again, just a leak, one of the easiest tire related jobs. I was also informed they do not take appointments for tire repairs and the only option they have is to leave the car for the entire day. I just laught at Joe, the guy I have dealt with twice, and walked away. I would rather pay kaltire or fountain tire to do the work fast and well, then deal with this terrible customer experience.

Ive previously never had work done to my car here, I had no idea what to expect price wise or service wise. I just wanted a tire changeover, the service counter said hour and a half tops. So after 3 ish hours my cars ready!! But wait. They installed them incorrectly so back in the shop they went and another 2 hours passed before I could finally get my car back. This job should have taken an hour and a half tops no excuses. Next time Im going anywhere else. Price wise was similar to other shops. (Other shops of great quality)
