I honestly don't think they should be allowed to call their espresso real coffee. It was the most bitter thing I've ever tested. Sorry to say it, but it was simply horrendous.

I'm glad I gave Cafe Taza a shot! The staff is friendly, and their breakfast sandwiches are good. Expect a little wait for food--they don't seem to have much in the way of cooking equipment behind the counter--but it's not egregious or the end of the world. The pastries are good, too.

Basic coffee shop with a variety of drinks. Coffee is roasted fresh during the week by the owner, and the daily brew is different every day! Full espresso bar, teas, smoothies and frappes. Limited seating, there is one table and multiple bar stools. Outdoor seating in the warmer months.

Any time I'm in the downtown area, I make it a point to stop here - the environment is peaceful, and the service includes a smile. They have a huge selection of beans for grinding at home as well... Perfect place to visit for a quick breakfast - be sure to stop by!

The coffee is good, but the guy at the counter just kind of stood there with a blank stare until I ordered... It was kind of an awkward interaction, and you pour your own coffee, which is fine, but as a first time customer, I didn't realize. It seems I was just expected to know this as if it's a normal thing for coffee shops to do. Overall, it wasn't a great first experience.

BLOWN AWAY by the quality of coffee from here. Freshly ground and STRONG. A large cup of this stuff kept me going all day. Delicious variety of coffee that changes daily. Great staff, good baked goods, fantastic prices.

Absolutely delicious. Got a maple spice latte because it was written on the board...otherwise I had too many options and would've stayed another 15 minutes deciding. Pumpernickel bagel with chive cream cheese also really good. Service was friendly and fast (4 staff on a Tuesday morning!), and I could tell most of the customers were regulars.

So I don’t do coffee much, but I do enjoy bagels and stuff of that nature! I have to say since the new owner has taken over the muffuletta sandwich has taken a dive!! Don’t serve day old muffulettas!!!! When the olive condiments have soaked all the way to the crust it’s a day old!!! When the bread is hard and dry it’s a day old!!! You can’t serve day old muffulettas and think no one will notice! I banned you guys for a while and I came back and today I think I’m done!

Coffee is a very personal thing. None of their roasts are profiled to my taste, too dark and oily for me; but if you like a low acid and creamier brew, this place is right up your alley. Nice people working here and they have plenty of different origins to select from.
