I ordered a tea and then went to the pick up counter to wait.... and I waited and waited. They served everyone behind me in line their coffee....although it was Saturday morning and only 4 people in the whole shop. There was a woman and a younger man working...but they looked less than happy to be there, no smile, no hello to the customers. I finally asked where my tea was, and they said "oh". Thats it, "oh". They forgot, so they made it then....they walk over to give me the tea, but just put it on the counter and walk away....not a word of apology or even a polite "here you are, sorry for the wait". Nothing. No apology for forgetting or making me wait. And the tea was only HALF filled with water, AND the wrong tea. so I asked them to correct it. Again, no apology! And they gave me the tea by just putting it down in front of me and walking away. Not a single word. Very rude and disrespectful. It was very hot and muggy in the store, cooler outside. I would not recommend this location at all !!

The staff is wonderful and food/drink great and of course CANADIAN Company. I was a loyal customer for a couple of years but the facility is falling apart. Leaky ceiling, men's urinal didn't work for months. One side of the room is too cold another side too hot. Just about every table wobbles. I'm now a Starbucks customer. Sorry but need a nice comfortable environment to write. UPDATE: The bathroom is fixed. The staff is friendly, still. The temperature is more even. Change to 3 stars.

The staff here is exceptional. A very happy warm place. At the end of the day, a Second Cup is still a mediocre coffee chain, but in my opinion their coffee and food quality is still ahead of other chains like Starbucks and Tim Hortons. I like to grab a morning coffee here most days because it always feels so cheery, even if I only pop in for a second. I should also mention, they have done a great job setting up the store for social distancing and protecting their staff and patrons.

I always enjoy sitting down in Second Cup with a cup of coffee and my school work. It has a relaxing atmosphere, a variety of comfortable seats, good Wi-Fi, and lots of outlets for plugging in laptops. The drinks and goodies are very tasty as well. Only complaint: would be nice if they had more parking, since the parking lot is often completely full around peak times.

SC in the Ptomrnade Mall. No lemon slices. They seem to not make them here or they done order them in. Their sparkling green tea lemonade is often not available. When it is the staff doesn't know how to put it together. They just put the syrup in and soda water and hand it to you. You end up having to mix it yourself. Staff is quite rude esp. Around 1pm. No happy greeting or smile. "I'm here to do a job". Second cup is our only Canadian coffee shop. If this is Joe we compete with American owned Tim Hortons we should and can do better than this!

They are mandatory now, and should have been mandatory all along for the food service industry. Your facebook page says they are "mandatory". I used to rank you 5 stars, but this is ridiculous. Worst internet connection by far, although the information on the internet says the closing time in a midweek day is 6pm, I've found a sign says it is only 5pm And after paying for my drink and sat, the waitress told me the dining area will be closed at 4pm while I was seated at 3:45pm

I love this location for a study spot! My only complaint is with their air system. Some spots are so cold from the air exchange system blowing that you cant comfortably sit there. Otherwise, their coffee is yummy and atmosphere is very relaxing.

Coffee always tastes burnt. I love the second cup by my work (the one in the Scotia plaza-- amazing!!) But for some reason every time I frequent this location the espresso based beverages taste burnt or off or something, but not good. My boyfriend usually gets their brewed coffee and says that it isn't good at all. Maybe they should look into cleaning their machines more often? Something to fix this issue. Yuck! Giving one star because the staff is friendly.

Their hot chocolate is ok, the whipped cream was terrible. Customer service was very blah. They also need to update their timings to reflect accurately, it currently says they're open till 11 p.m. but they told us they close at 8 p.m. which caused our plans to come to an abrupt end. Treated really terribly by staff at the drive-thru. The person who served me was rude and dismissive and slammed the window shut before I finished speaking. If you are going to treat customers that way, at least be informed in the policies you are enforcing. I was a daily customer through the lock-downs, being an essential worker. Wonderful menu and the location is convenient. It's spacious with tables for two, or four, or lounge chairs if you prefer. The parking lot, especially near the drive-thru, needs a lot of work done. The pavement is cracked badly enough to damage a car that doesn't notice how deep the potholes are. The staff is friendly, but I've had one strange thing happen about 3 times this month. Barista A will take my order and then go make it. Then Barista B takes my money. Many times, Barista A only charges me for part of the order, not knowing everything that I had ordered. Each time, I said the amount was wrong, but it'd be really easy for a nefarious customer to either get half their order for free, or in one case that happened 3 weeks ago when Barista B got distracted by something else, completely free without paying at all. The downtown location is better, but if you're careful driving, and are an honest person, this location is good too.

Location is fine. Nothing special because its in a mall. Some locations are more fancy than this one. It does the trick though. Note that it closes at 9pm on Sundays not 11. I went there just before 9 for a late night coffee with someone and we had leave and sit in the car haha. The girl serving us was pleasant though.

Lots of parking in the plaza however the men’s bathroom need a major update it’s an affluent area however the bathroom is truly horrible it would appear the owners just don’t care. The sink is cracked the soap dispenser doesn’t work so the put the soap in a second cup paper cup????? Also they should keep the milk and sugar area clean and wiped down. Not impressed in today businesses it’s all about the “experience “and client Perception.

We love to stop by with the kids every Sunday for coffee and smoothies. The staff is always super friendly and quick. While there us a decent amount of seating, it gets busy so seating can be an issue if you are coming in a group. My only negative comment would be the mens bathroom not being very clean and having a very off putting smell the last few times we visited.

Second Cup is my favorite coffee shop second to Starbucks. The prices are roughly the same and their selection isn't necessarily as broad. But what they do have is ace. I love their chaider. Not gonna lie. Their brew itself also has a rich flavor that I love first thing in the morning. Lighter on the sugar than its competitors I find, which for me is a definite positive.

I was surprised at the state of the women's washrooms especially being in a nice neighbourhood. The large industrial roll of toilet paper was laying on the bathroom floor and there was none in the dispenser. The sink was old and looked unclean with some sort of white scaling around the hot and cold nobs which were very old and not in best shape. I would not go back because of the washroom but the spacing and the searing environment looked good.

The drinks are not made according to the recipes.. everytime i order my usual it comes out differently depending on the barista. Its like playing russian roulette at 7am which i shouldnt be paying for... especially if it sucks. How many times do you guys want me to come back and return my drink? Seriously though

Tried out coffee here today. Capacino was weak and vanilla bean latte was good. I think Starbuck might be better bang for your buck. Imho Mcd makes better capacinno and Starbuck Vanilla bean latte is smother

Although I enjoyed time with my brother over a cup of good coffee, I got the impression it wasn't the cleanest location at Humber town plaza because of the many flies at the cream and sugar stand...also their leather chairs were extremely worn and not compatible with their expensive prices and the high priced neighborhood.

Staff need to improve their customer service. I tried to buy a kids hot chocolate for my niece after school, she wasn't with me at the time, I wanted to bring her a treat for when I picked her up and the lady working there giving me a hard time as my " kid" wasn't with me at the time. I came in for a coffee (take away) and would say it was average. Overall, it's a franchise coffee shop. The product was drinkable, the server was a part time college student and there was a short line. I would say they could improve on their seating arrangement because spots were limited, hence taking my order to go. There is no drive thru so you would think they would optimize the layout to better handle foot traffic. With all the other options nearby on Bloor, I don't see myself returning very often.

Good signature coffees are somewha muted by an aging decor and very limited seating considering the restaurant size. Seems to be a very popular spot for individuals to work alone with their laptop and a coffee - why not cater better to this demographic and have some smaller inidividual booths that free up tables for other guests?
