We love Mum's! Don't let the age of the building fool you. They have great food, especially their Chicken and Dumpling soup, their restaurant, while dated, is always clean and the service is fast and friendly. Our recommendation would be any of the chicken based soups and the grilled cheese with bacon on rye, a wonderful lunch for a phenomenal price (under $10.00!).

Mum's Place is where you want to go for a genuine home cooked meal and a very reasonable price. Often there is only 1 or 2 tables available because it's such a great place to eat. The owners are the definition of "Ma n' Pop". They are very friendly and that goes for the staff too. If you're ever in Elliot Lake I highly recommend stopping in for a bite.

I was served within 7 minutes after ordering. I ordered 'Everything but the Kitchen Sink' omlete. It was served hot. Generous portions. It was crowded, and waitress was FAST on her feet. Oh my God! Cons: A bit of an outdated decor. That's all.
