Had a really great latte here! I’ve also taken some beans they’ve roasted home and they were also pretty good! Only issue I have is with the cafe itself, I’ve only been there twice mind you, but neither time I was there was there a menu posted anywhere! Not even on their website? Maybe it was just a fluke or something, but seems like a pretty important thing to have..... lol

Continues to be THE best coffee in Edmonton. Pivotted to online sales and delivery during the worst of Covid but now are partially open for your coffee pickup. Amazing staff who KNOW THEIR PRODUCT. I am a bean customer and a take out customer and am always happy with their consistency and approach. They work ethically and sustainably and are rad people too. (soundtrack is also wicked)

The Grizzlar is honestly my favorite coffee shop I've ever been to. I haven't seen very many businesses that care as much about the community as they do. They have been so amazing throughout COVID-19 and have put many measures in place to ensure that everything is done as safely as possible. The coffee and treats are always incredible! I can't recommend this place enough.

For the price I was paying I received some really bad coffee. I ordered a cappuccino and a latte. All you could really taste was dairy. There was little to no taste of coffee. Also, there was very little food to choose from. On the plus side, the place was clean, doughnuts were good, and the service was fairly friendly.

Was sent here by someone saying they would be able to hook me up with some fantastic tea for a Christmas present. Took forever to find the place, because I guess they're too hip to have a sign. Went in and explained to the guy that I am not a tea drinker, like, at all and I needed some assistance. I explained that the person I was buying for only drank orange pekeo. I have since found out what that term actually refers to, no thanks to this gentleman. He looked at me and asked me what I wanted. I'm thinking, didn't I come here for tea? I explained again. I need tea. Orange pekeo. For a present. He looks at me blankly and starts rattling off what they have. Dude, I know you're speaking English to me, but I don't know what you're talking about. I. Don't. Drink. Tea. Some rando, who was sitting at a table, gets up, picks up a bag and brings it over to me and says orange pekeo is a generic term for black tea and the one he gave me would be a good choice. Thanks, buddy! So, I turn towards the guy, still standing at the cash register and made the mistake of asking if they had any mugs to go with it. He says to me, 'If they drink tea, they probably already have a mug.' O.o WTF dude? Thanks for being the most unhelpful person I have EVER come into contact with. Unless you know exactly what you need, I suggest you seek assistance elsewhere.

Everything in Edmonton kind of feels like a hole in the wall, hidden gem in a distant suburb. Nonetheless, Grizzlar has excellent espresso and I'm so so so glad it was a few blocks away from where I was working this week. Super friendly service and delicious treats. Great local spot to pick up my beans. They've got a decent selection of beans to choose from, plus 1kg bags if you'd prefer to stock up/drink a ton of coffee. Also, they're a female-owned company and use compostable packaging on their beans (though I believe it's industrial compost only).

Best coffee I've had in Edmonton - and I've been to just about every high end café in the city (not to mention many in Portland, San Francisco, Seattle, Vancouver, Canberra, and Sydney). Seriously rich and aromatic, fabulous crema, served at the perfect temperature. As far as I can see, they have the highest rating in the city at 4.9 - and extremely well deserved. A great selection of beans roasted in house, original style elements, carefully curated music, and very warm staff - the owners came out and introduced themselves and struck up a conversation. Two spotless, spacious bathrooms. A great array of pastries and some dessert bars. Parking was a breeze - many spots out front. If you're looking for decent coffee with a heavy serving of pretensionsness on the side - and some certainly are - there are plenty of other options for you. If you want great coffee with some genuine style, this is the place.

I really wanted to like this place. Heard the commercial and it was funny so I thought to try it out. Atmosphere not bad. Customer service was lukewarm. He was almost indifferent. Now, I love Ethiopian coffee. I search high and low for it and I always get it if I can find it. So grizzlar had a bag of Ethiopian I bought it and took it home. Beans were dry. Very strong acrid and sour notes, just like the burned/sour Sumatra blend that I ordered to go. If you are a serious connoisseur of coffee, avoid this place like the plague. If you are a regular consumer and not too picky, I'd still rather go to 7 11. Its that bad.

The guy that was making my coffee was super nice. Unfortunately I made my first visit to the Grizzlar during the pandemic and was disappointed to see that there were no tables. I understand that they want to limit the amount of surfaces but my friend and I really wanted to sit at a coffee shop and chat. We honestly would have turned around and left instead of staying because of that reason, but I told a different friend that I would check out the coffee for her so I had no choice but to get coffee there. There is space for seating along the wall so if there were some tables, I would have happily given this review a 5 star. The store looks so barrren without tables that I almost thought they were in the final stages of closing the store permanently. Otherwise, the coffee was great, and the service is definitely worth coming back for!
