solid traditional american breakfast food on campus! prices maybe just 5-10% higher than you would expect but totally still worth it. consistent and predictable, if you want breakfast, you'll get breakfast! and you can get your scrambled eggs spicy, where they add veggies and spice to it (no charge, I think?)

I thought there were no good places to grab food on campus. I was wrong! Good coffee, good service, good breakfast, and good sandwiches. Perfect place to get hangover brunch, and their pancakes are awesome. Seriously: go get hangover brunch here. It's totally worth it.

By far the best breakfast place I've been to. They have a very large selection and the food comes out pretty quick - except when they get busy (and they do get busy a lot). The owner is very friendly and reasonable. I've tried most of their food selection and none of them disappointed me. Try with caution - it gets very addictive to some people.

Located at University Marketplace (The Village), Only U Cafe is not only known by UBC students to be the go to place for all-day breakfast/brunch, its menu also consist of a variety of cuisines from all around the world. Although not as authentic and varied as a international buffet, servings are guaranteed to satisfy a roaring bully no matter what you order. The restaurant also have a huge variety of drinks one can choose from to mix and match with whatever meal you choose.

Food is very homey and the coffee is smooth but strong. The staff is pretty polite and friendly, making each visit a very welcoming experience. Wait times are short and there is enough room to seat comfortably. The local is clean and tidy. Absolutely would recommend this for breakfast if you're in the area.

We used to love this place, came multiple times a week. Several extremely rude incidents have made it so that we will never return. The lady is very confrontational, if you tell her she forgot something that you paid for she will lash out at you. Insist you are wrong, even imply that you are lying. The daughter that serves doesn’t really care if you don’t have napkins or anything. She just brings food. The prices and aggressive tip prompt on the machine don’t really match the service quality. What’s the point in tipping $10 if they won’t bring you napkins, or argue if you tell them they forgot something.

The food here is decent, but pricey for what it is. The waitress was extremely rude and looked about as unhappy as can be. I have been here a few times and she is always the same. Will not pay this much for lousy service and average food.

The first brunch place I visit UBC campus. Only U Cafe offers all the dishes associated with a classic and regular brunch, such as omelette, egg Benedict, harsh brown, and etc. The meals are decent with reasonable price given its location. It’s definitely a pleasant experience to dine outside under the shade and watch egg yolk leaking out and “harmonizing” with the harsh brown. I wouldn’t considered Only U Cafe as a top-one brunch place in Vancouver, but it’s certainly friendly and approachable. 4 stars to the food and 1 star to the cute and deft server that incredibly served almost all the tables on his own :) don’t know his name unfortunately :(

The warm food is nice in a cold winter day. The only problem was the cashier, she has an attitude and looked like she hated working there. Super impatient when we asked her to repeat herself since we couldn’t hear her. Thankfully she doesn’t work there anymore.

For a simple 2 person breakfast with tea, it cost us $42!! Service: The service from the waitress and counter person were fine but another rude guy ruined the experience. I simply wanted to know ingredients of the cheese they use for my dietary restrictions. Instead of listening to me properly and guiding me he said he doesn't know. I asked if I could see the packaging and he said he threw the packaging out and then proceeded to leave without listening further. Pathetic. Will never visit again even though the food was decent.

Good food, convenient location for students. They started selling a lot of indian food which seemed pretty random but everyone I've talked to has told me it's excellent. I've also a neighbour who's hard of moving and hearing and I also appreciate that they're always incredibly polite and accommodating with him.

Probably the most decent full brunch you'd get on the Eastern side of campus. The omelettes and sandwiches are tasty and fresh. Coffee is slightly disappointing as it's bulk drip, but overall a good breakfast/brunch at a slightly higher price than some other places in the village.

Mediocre food, location, cleanliness, prices - okay overall. However, when a customer finds a HAIR in his/her dish, tells the worker, returns it, receives an "okay" in response (without any kind of refund or apology whatsoever), it kind of turns that person away from ever coming back to the place again.

A hidden gem for Indian food (not on the official menu). The owner is a friendly Chinese-Indian uncle fluent in several Indian languages (Hindi, Gujarati, Marathi, etc) and can cook great methi aloo parantha, pav bhaji, and filter coffee (ask for the "Indian latte").

Ever since I found about the place, I can finally deal with my cravings for breakfasty food at 1pm onwards. The omelette and frittatas are quite good (what I tried so far). Staff is helpful and friendly.

Just came here today for a lunch special since I've pretty much tried most of the places @ UBC now and i had the Fish n chips w/ ceasar salad and wow!! Really excellent food. The fish was lightly battered with nice big pieces and i choose the salad instead and they topped it with tons of parm cheese and the dressing was really good, overall super impressed with this place and no question will be going again and others who complained about the cost? really? Do they even know the prices in Vancouver, let alone UBC? Anything around 10-15-20$ is fine for this city...My lunch was $13 and more than reasonable, and the service was very friendly... Stay safe all in 2021! Cheers :)
