An excellent americano
You can't make a trip to The Valley without a pitstop at Just Us!
Great atmosphere with excellent-tasting fair trade goods ranging from chocolate to the expected tea and coffee.
The thing about Just us that I love is the freshness of their coffee. It's roasted, on site. I've been there when they were roasting the coffee, and you can smell it all over Grand Pre! I love their food too. The only bad thing I …
Great coffee shop. Very nice and friendly staff that were very helpful with some area directions and locations. Also have a fair trade museum. The kind of shop you would find in a trendy urban neighbourhood but with small town charm.
A very nice coffee shop with excellent service and a real authentic cause to support! One of our “must stops” when traveling to the Valley.
Open, spacious seating area. Fresh coffee beans. The best cold brew I've ever had. I'd definitely recommend this local treasure!
I love getting a coffee and sweety here whenever we visit the valley. The little museum on fair trade coffee and how coffee is roasted is cool.
Today I went to order a take away drink. I wasn’t asked for my vaccine passport until after I had used the rest rooms and had been in the cafe for 10 minutes. It wasn’t until I was looking for cream that the waitress stopped me. She didn’t …
The atmosphere is incredible - huge, open space with adorable details. There is a great selection of coffees to choose from and drinks for kids as well. Everything is a decent price and comparable to other mid-range coffee shops.
Nice surprise during the drive to the Wolfville market. The same great drinks you love in Halifax but with more room and better views.
Tasty coffee and treats, friendly staff and great little museum on coffee and what it means to be a coffee coop. My favourite part is the garden behind the building that you can walk through and sit among. It's beautiful and smartly arranged. Tasting a tomato that was out on a table for sampling was like tasting summer. You should stop here if you're in the area.
Heart warming.
Disappointed this time. Not able to tour the museum, was looking for a tea pot but there was none
Good coffee. My kids also really enjoyed the little museum that they have about growing coffee and how the fair trade process works.
What can I say about the absolutely best coffee house in the area. Wow, they serve a fresh cup with loads of flavour. The aroma of their establishment makes me drool when I enter since they also roast and sell their own beans at this location.
Kids loved it. Museum is not open yet.
The best coffee! 1st time there today and i will definitely be back. Great service too and friendly staff. Thank you!
Love their eggnog latte during the holidays! A great treat while driving home to Halifax.
Great place to stop! Friendly people, free electric car charge station, a wonderful meeting area and great products! Wish they had something other than quark to put on bagels lol but besides that love it!
Great Coffee shop super friendly staff and excellent local coffee.
The coffee here is amazing and the blueberry lemon scone was delicious. The staff was friendly and the seating area was bright and welcoming. I would have happily stayed just for the atmosphere and the wonderful smell of coffee.
Great service during covid-19. Very good coffee and snacks and a lovely shaded area to relax and eat
The pay milk cappacino is the nector of the gawds, the tarton twirl is heaven to the tastes, the staff makes a visit like a celebration. Only wish I worked there.
Coffee is expensive, and the ice latte we got was rather weak coffee. We've only been here the one time, but I wasn't impressed. But this place has many good reviews and a good amount of customers while I was there. So maybe my experience was a flook. But id rather go to Tim hortons if I was to consider this place again. Coffee should be cheap and strong.
Great coffee
Best coffee we've ever had. Amazing spot, not to miss if you are in the area. Had an egg frittata and it was so amazing I wished I had bought two. Wish we had a place like this where we live!
Had a Great cup of coffee and an excellent Ginger cookie, if you have the time, do stop in to see them.
When you want a special brew this is a place to get great beans or ground coffee. Prices are reasonable and it makes a great stop on a valley trip
Great coffee, tasty treats, and best matcha latte (especially with the lavender syrup)! Friendly staff and nice energy. …
Better than Stopping at Timmies! If you prefer good coffee this is the spot. If quick in and out is your thing this place is not for you. Be prepared to wait while the indecisive parent of a hipster trying to look cool in front of their kid asks questions about everything before deciding on a cup of green tea.
Perfect place. Local goodness. Welcoming vibe. Amazing coffee. Gluten free options.
Must stop - we love the coffee, both as a hot drink to go, and in bean form. We always buy a few pounds to take back home with us to Ottawa.
Great coffee, fun staff, great area to sit and chill with your coffee.
Excellent fair trade coffee, good on a hot day
They good good coffee and the cups don't burn your hand every thing is made right here and its good
I picked up a bag of Stevadore coffee and am now just drinking it. It's really good and I haven't seen it at any grocery stores. They have yummy looking baked goods to enjoy with your coffee. The little museum they have is very interesting. It's a nice little stop if you're on a road trip in the area. They staff were also very nice!
Delicious coffee ☕
I used to love coming here. Started many years ago and I'd bring my kids to the museum side while I had a great coffee. The last couple years I only come infrequently, but each time has been a disappointment. Most recently it seemed the staff was even less friendly, the baked goods less appealing, and this time even the latte wasn't very good. The baked stuff seems to be aimed more towards adults, and my kids don't like anything there. Now that the coffee didn't work out either, I'm not sure I'll bother to keep trying. Feels like the place is coasting on a reputation from years ago. :( Gardens are still beautiful though.
The coffee alone is amazing! I have a problem with coffee causing stomach cramps, but their coffee never bothers my stomach. It is so worth the little extra you pay for this coffee, plus they will custom grind it for no extra charge. Their sugar is so easy to digest for my husband (he has Crohn's) and it adds a beautiful hint of caramel flavour to anything you use it in. The chocolate is the best I have ever tasted... and I have had some well known gormet chocolate.
Our latté & cappuccino were excellent as usual. The peanut butter cookie was good but the lemon square was disappointing. Neither of us could taste lemon. Also a bit disconcerting were the flies on the scones next to the cash. The pre-ground coffee is excellent though and so enjoyable at home in the morning.
Great coffee and educational experience. We also brought home some of their frozen mushroom soup - outstanding!
Friendly staff cute little spot. We came late in the afternoon so I didn't want any more caffeine but the best decaffeinated coffee I've ever had!
Was looking for a better tasting cup of decaf so I gave a Just Us rep. a ring. She told me all about their 'Swiss water' Decaf. Picked up 2 pounds of each. Best cups of coffee I've ever had! Thank you!
All the coffee was amazing so was the brownie I got !!
Great ice coffee, good size and doesn't feel stuffy in there
Just Us has always been a treat for us. It's about halfway home from Halifax. Today was a bit disappointing though, the barista was luke warm, as was the latte and the regular coffee was undrinkable!
Great atmosphere. Great coffee.
Quality products ,with GF options. Helpful staff.
Good coffee enjoyed it
Great coffee shop in town. I had their pork belly wrap and it was simply incredible. Although a bit pricy and small, I would gladly have another one. Hot chocolate was great especially the peppermint one. They can switch to oat milk if you …
Love the new lids for the to-go cups!
Great atmosphere, excellent service.
Love this special little coffee shop. I enjoy their coffee and their service is always good.
Wonderful place with a quaint little museum showing the history of coffee. We ordered 2 lattes and a flat white and they were awesome. Coffee selection is great and the atmosphere is warm and cozy. Glad we made the decision to stop in.
I love stopping in to Just Us on the #1 by Grand Pre on the way through the valley. Whether I'm returning home to the city from Wolfville or just passing through, I never miss the opportunity to get Just Us' great coffee right from the location where it's roasted. I've only ever briefly examined the displays they have about coffee, but am willing to give it 5 stars on the quality of product, diversity of other beverage-related merchandise, and friendliness of the staff alone. Perhaps one of these times I'll stay for a while to browse their information.
JustUs provided a great tour of the facilities for our G6-8 unit on food systems. It was fun, educational and well-pitched to this group of pre-teens. Very impressed with the philosophy and mission behind the business. Many thanks
When I lived in Alberta I used to buy Just Us! and get it shipped monthly. Now I am lucky enough to live in the Valley and I can drive/walk there any time I want. The absolute best coffee (I especially love Harmony and Rise Again Blends). Sweet treats and sandwiches are also A plus.
Relaxing location for a break Friendly service and a very friendly staff
Driven pass this location many times even before they were established there. Finally decided to stop and let my kids have a treat. They pick me up some vegan peanut butter balls and as a diabetic I rather enjoyed them and they don't affect my blood sugar
Cute shop, nice staff, good coffee
Their beans are excellent, and they even do credible light roasts. The espresso shot they pulled for me was superb! Two stars off for not printing the roast date on the bag—I can't recommend buying this in a grocery store since you won't know whether it was roasted last week or in 2017. But that's my only complaint. Many thumbs doing whatever it is thumbs do—stirring the coffee?
Great Coffee. Friendly staff.
The best Matcha I've had. And lavender in it too? Win.
Very good food as always.
Only one barista working so a bit of a wait. Poor girl was run ragged, but she allowed us to try each coffee before buying a bag. What a sweetheart. Can't believe the manager doesn't get someone to help her out. Coffbwas excellent, and they will grind it for you. Nice! Also a museum for the kids!
The best pour over in Nova Scotia area. They call it Slow Brew though. Tomato tomato. Potato potato. If you know what I mean. They have a built-in museum on Mexican coffee farmers’ struggle and how they rose from the bottom with the help of Fair Trade. Coffee for a good cause.
The "rise again" medium roast has been my go to coffee for 8 years? A higher end coffee shop and great spot to pick up some culinary nick naks. Have a bite to eat and bring in the kiddos. The coffee museum is perfect for kids and adults needing a break from the road.
Truely a coffee "shop", selections of free trade blends are available to browse and buy while you wait one your hot cup. A museum is also built in, with no additional charge, that is fun for the whole family. While this location is not large enough for a day trip, it is a Nova Scotia must see.
Great coffee, macha latte and muffins. A lovely spot to take a break while driving from Halifax to the Annapolis Valley. Friendly staff, good service and great beverages.
No much of a good selection. Coffee is ok.
Tasty coffee, but not hot enough my wife or I. The deserts are too sweet for me. My wife liked them though.
I've been a loyal supporter for years and was devastated when they closed out all Halifax Locations. We went in close to closing time over Easter and were told they were shutting down even though we were in the store. Fair, but we just wanted drinks to go. There were people still sitting in the cafe eating, so it wasn't like they were going anywhere. I emailed to express my disappointment in the poor service and head office responded saying they would pass along the feedback to the individual that takes care of the Grand Pre location. Still waiting to hear back ...
Great pumpkin spice latte, even let us sample their coffee they had on. Beans are fresh and roasted on site
Great atmosphere and amazing service. Also great coffee.
Always great service, great coffee and treats
Great chocolate and decent coffee. Price is amazing and it's fair trade!
They have the safety issue down pat. Great service as well.
Fantastic coffee, baristas who understand their craft, and a wonderful mission. Love this place.
Friendly staff and great coffee. Nova scotian owned and operated. Fair trade certified and unique.
Fair trade Cooperative and fresher than fresh coffee...plus museum plus coffee to by.
One of my favourite coffee shops in Nova Scotia. Seating area is limited, but most people seem to take their orders to go or walk through the small but charming little "coffee museum", so there always seem to be seats available. Delicious …
Friendly staff, coffee is very strong!
A great place to stop
Beautiful spot to visit. Wonderful food. Environmentally friendly business. Many thing to make it a wonderful spot to stop for coffee.
Excellent coffee, great business. Also, free charging for our EV!
Incredible coffee, wonderful treats, lovely staff! Great experience overall!
Beautiful local coffee shop and great babed goods
What a great place! The smell of the coffee is amazing! They have a great variety of different strengths/roasts and acidity to please every kind of coffee enthusiasts! Don't miss a chance to stop in.
Best coffee in nova scotia
Best peppermint mocha! Great staff!
Very cozy and welcoming place, with friendly workers.
OMGOSH! The brownies bare to die for! Had a cold brew iced coffee which really kept me going the rest if the afternoon. Due to Covid-19, the self-service cream & sugar is not available so getting the proportions right was challenging but the coffee & baked goods are really good.
Friendly inviting atmosphere, awesome service and great coffee and sweets.
Good sandwiches and friendly service. An extensive selection of teas and coffees with the beans roasted on the premises. Interesting and educational museum to peruse, as well as a large number of tea and coffee preparation devices. Indoor and outdoor seating to enjoy a cup of your favourite drink.
Was a nice spot, the service was ok. Guess I am used to finishing an order before serving someone else. Just rubbed me the wrong way. Oh well, great coffee though.
Great place must. See
The only coffee we buy! Reasonably priced while being very high quality and fair trade.
Always a great stop for a cup of coffee! Wish the store was open for this season, but we understand :)
A lovely coffee shop on its own. It adds so much more convenience and great feel touring the area.
Great place,very tasty coffee.
Coffee is great. Chai latte is very bland. Cups are unexpectedly small imho. Young staff consistently seem inattentive to me as a customer (maybe its coincidence). There is a little green space to the left of the building for dogs - a convenient pit stop.
