We had an amazing experience at Smitty’s in Cranbrook today! We went in for breakfast with what we thought was enough time before my husband’s haircut but we underestimated. My husband had to leave before the breakfast was delivered so they kindly remade his breakfast when he returned! Talk about customer service as it was completely our fault! The food was fantastic, the service phenomenal and we will definitely be back again!

Only giving one star because the waitress was nice, other then that, not good. There were workers literally sitting at a table playing Xbox instead of cooking the meals my table had ordered. I would be embarrassed to own this place. And the water tastes like sewer water, not good

Great food! Attentive and personable server. You get great value for your money and the serving size is plenty. The management staff checked in on us and wanted to know how everything was. Needless to say we were satisfied and impressed. I highly recommend this location.

Fantastic breakfast and great service. We were surprised by the large portions and great value. The pancakes were delicious and the bacon cooked just right. The place was clean and the young lady serving us was extremely friendly and sweet. They wore masks and they followed covid regulations.

Good fresh food....We ordered the Cobb Salad and the summer special Mediterranean Salad. Everything was fresh, the salad, the blueberries, the strawberries, the chicken was moist and flavourful. The facilities were spotless. Great friendly staff...The owner came by to see what we thought of the food...How many other restaurants do that. Here's some pix of our salads. July 20 Update. Came back for dinner again...had another great salad, a great steak dinner.. disappointed with the Fish and Chips Jul 21 Brunch...tried one piece of everything.. everything was excellent including the Eggs Benedict...yokes were soft and runny.

Food was good, service was good. But the fact that my wife and I wanted a quite breakfast kid free in the lounge where booze is served didn't happen good parenting btw. And why the restaurant side was empty is beyond me.

Friendly staff, breakfast was tasty and the coffee was hot. The waitress forgot my wife's drink and left her with a dirty plate, but kept my coffee full and took my dirty plates right away.

My boyfriend sat with an empty cup of coffee for over 25 minutes, we waited for our food for almost an hour. We wouldn't have been as unhappy waiting that long if the food came out hot and looking edible! His shredded in were cold in the middle and my back bacon no joke looked shredded? I should have taken a picture. Wish we could say even one moment in there was enjoyable. And before people think I'm over doing it know I am a server and have worked in this industry for 7 years and have never experienced this while working or eating somewhere. WORST PART the Manager didn't even come out and speak to us, he made the waitress come back out to play telephone, getting her to come back and ask us what was wrong again instead of speaking to us himself! I feel bad for the waitress.

My family and I had the chance to visit this location during the long weekend, and all I can say is wow! From the service, to the food, to the ambience, all were simply amazing! They had an awesome selection of food for adults and kids, both of which were fairly priced. We stayed here for breakfast, and I personally tried the 8oz NY steak & eggs, which were delicious! The steak came out sizzling hot and was cooked perfectly to a medium rare. Where else can you find this kind of quality food for $20?! The managers/owners of the restaurant personally came by to our table a few times to check on us and make sure we were enjoying our stay. In my experience, it's little things like that which tend to leave a great impression on the guests. I expected this Smitty's to be on par with other places such as Denny's. However, from the moment we walked in, we were greeted by very kind staff and given the quality of care you would expect from a five star restaurant. I would highly recommend this location to family and friends. If we ever swing by Cranbrook again, we will definitely be visiting!

Smitty's always does pretty well with the food. It's affordable and consistent. The service at the Cranbrook location is second to none. The staff are quite young, but extremely hard working and friendly. The manager is also great and seems to do a good job with his team. It's those things that keep me going back.

Amazing food and service!! Decided to try out the Smitty's lounge area tonight. Tried the honey BBQ burger, the Fernie brewery huckleberry ale, and a few appetizers that we finished before I could snag a picture. The wings, and perogies were awesome! Will be back for game night with the boys to try out some of their specials. The staff were extremely helpful with providing recommendations and were very attentive.

Had dinner here and our waiters name was love. He was super friendly and brought us refills without us asking. We attended their breakfast buffet the next morning and we're delighted by the amount of options. There were bacon, sausages, hash browns, eggs benidict and plenty more!

Went for Breakfast this morning, and before my food came I had to rush out. My girlfriend asked them to keep my food warm, and they went above and beyond, and offered to remake the meal when I got back. I was blown away by that kindness and amazing service ethic. Was in town over the long weekend, and we decided to stay at the Travelodge hotel. Tried lunch the day we got in, and had breakfast before we left town. Lunch was good! Variety of options, welcoming atmosphere and better option than fast food. Items came out quick and hot. Kids loved the fries and the chocolate cake dessert. The Smitty's breakfast buffet was impressive! Such a large variety of food: my favorites were the hashbrown bake item (delicious!!), the perogies and the pancakes. For the price I thought it was a generous spread ($16ish for adults, $6ish for kids? please correct me if I am wrong!). My kids loved the variety as well, the staff was very kind and helpful when offering suggestions off the menu and My husband ordered the waffle. In our opinion the Pancakes and Waffles at Smitty's are better tasting than Dennys. Just our opinion but these taste like the ones my mom made as kids. Never been to a Smitty's before but this location has shown us it a great option for breakfast and lunch. Keep up the great work, your staff is wonderful!

Great service and the guys that own it are super friendly. We were driving through town and got some wings/appetizers to go so we could enjoy the view at a park. Wings were VERY good. Properly cooked, and sauced well. Meat was very good quality and I couldn't believe the price. And they stayed crispy! Would recommend for takeout/delivery.

This was my first visit so I was a bit skeptical as my previous experiences at other Smitty's have not been great. I loved this place. Nice and clean. Our server was very sweet, friendly and professional. I had the eggs benedict with a side of fruit and it was amazing!! Eggs cooked perfect, hollandaise not too salty, not greasy! and the fruit was fresh cut! Also loved the coffee and I am picky usually I like it a bit stronger not see through. I will for sure be back :)

This is my official spot for brunch in Cranbrook! They take the definition of “family restaurant” to a whole new level with the degree of hospitality and attentiveness that I’ve received throughout the number of times I have dined here with my family and friends. Their servers, Love and Chelsea, are always in great spirits and are always happy to welcome us in and accommodate whatever needs we have as odd and complex they may be. It is so heartwarming to be ushered in so early in the morning by such happy individuals! The food portions are great, the refills are always on time, the meals have us coming back for more and the prices are definitely worth the overall experience. The owner even makes it a point to check in with us to make sure everything is good. This is a local business to support as they definitely make you feel at home. 5 stars!

Let me start by telling you this: You will NOT regret coming here!! I had lunch here for and boy, oh boy, food was incredibly tasty. There wasn't a single unsatisfied tummy at my table and our waitress was a very sweet lady with an amazing attitude.:)

Loved this place! The location is great, the food was incredible, and the staff were super friendly. I came in for breakfast with my husband, we wanted to try both savoury and sweet options, so we ordered the waffle with strawberry sauce on it, and the Texas skillet. Both were unbelievably delicious, I can’t get over how good breakfast was! The portion sizing is very generous, you will definitely get your moneys worth. This place is just amazing, I will absolutely drop by with my husband when we’re in town again!

Had the buffet, cold rubbery pancakes. Was excited about fresh bennys coming out of the kitchen, super disappointing, tasted like the english muffins were cooked on the flat-top with canola oil (yuck). The last straw was a staff member dusting off the blinds right over the uncovered buffet food. Our server was quite friendly and quick with the coffee, clearing dishes ect..She gets the only star I'm giving. Thank you to the owner for responding, however the fruit, yogurt, cottage cheese ect. Not to mention the plates for the buffet are not covered and are under the blinds that were being dusted.
