When my minivan tire went flat I was worried that it was going to be a costly repair or replacement. They were very busy and it was an hour and a half long wait but the lounge was comfortable with free drinks, popcorn and wifi. The customer service was incredible and friendly. She brought me out the rock that was the culprit and it was an easy fix. I was shocked when I got to the counter and they told me there was no charge!

My bearing and front axle were changed before some of their competitors had even gotten back to me with an estimate. I was also impressed with the renovations they've done since the last time I was there...it gave me more confidence as a buyer. I have never dealt with such incompetent staff. After ordering brand new winter tires and being told that I would get a call once they arrived, they failed to uphold their word and after 3 weeks of not hearing from them I gave them a call and was told that my tires had arrived. Maybe they were wanting to wait till the spring to call me. I booked an appointment for the next day to have them switched over. The next day I showed up and was told that my tires weren't there and that I would have to re-book my appointment for when they arrive. What kind of clowns are running this place!? Waste of my time would never recommend them to anyone or do business with them again.

Great and honest service, they earn my trust with their transparency and straightforward communication. I appreciated being able to come in the shop when I had concerns about other components in my car so that I could take a look at it on the hoist. (Concerns mostly founded by the dishonest Mazda dealership in North Bay) I regularly do maintenance on my own car so I don't trust many people with it, so the fact that I trust in the hands of these guys says allot.

We had no appointments, and I was stuck with new tires I needed installed on a 32 Feet RV! Not an easy task. I called KalTire in Cranbrook. They took us in right away, and their commercial tire tech took us as soon as he could. 2 hours of fast and good work and we were out. The price was more than fair even if we did not buy the tires there ( we should have). They also told us Sparwoord KalTire could retorque the tires after driving a while, as recommended, and they did it in 10 min just by showing up. Let’s say I have a new tire store on my list of favorites! Kal-Tire will be my go to tire store for my next set of tires. But the Cranbrook store especially made our day! Thanks everyone! I have been going to Kal Tire for just about 5 years and the service has gotten progressively worse! Today I took my vehicle in for a winter tire changeover … the appointment was for 2:00. I finally got out of there at 4:15! They said they had trouble changing over the rims. Aren’t they supposed to be the experts?..Not a happy customer. BTW I bought at least 2 sets of tires and rims from the North Bay location over the years. If they can’t handle the volume of business, then don’t overbook!!

A couple of weeks ago, when on my way to AB, I found that I had a flat tire. I made my way over to Kal Tire, as it was close to where I was. When I pulled up I noticed it was closed. One of the Kal Tire staff members was still in the service center and he came out to help. He got me a used tire at a decent price and changed it for me. I was able to reach my destination by the end of the day. A big thank-you to this Kal Tire technician for helping me out.

Driving home from Osoyoos to Calgary on Tuesday, got a flat by two punctures just 20km north of Cranbrook, got a tow to Kal Tire in Cranbrook before it closed. Supervisor Gord and his guys jumped into action and completed the repair, so I was able to carry on my journey and got home safely the same day. The fee was surprisingly reasonable, and work was professional and the guys very friendly, great experience. Thank you!

Had a tire blowout on our way to Ottawa to visit our kids. They were packed with winter tire changeovers but were able to get us a tire and instead of waiting hours for a bay installed it in the parking lot and got us on our way. Quality of service has been on a decline over the last couple of years. We have voiced our concern and some of our needs have been met. We have had numerous issues with this store. We have been customers here for over ten years and are considering taking our business elsewhere. The services and products have been very disappointing lately. The cost of changing seasonal tires has risen substantially over the years and the service has gotten worse. I'm not sure what to suggest to help this store improve it's ratings in our books.

Like many they just steal your money, they'll say something will fix this problem, charge you $400; it doesn't fix anything (if they did any work) then they'll say it'll cost another $400 to actually fix the problem, that they're sorry but they don't understand why you should be refunded due to the reasoning that they are committing fraud. the service that I received with them was great and while I understand times are different right now, customer service should not be sacrificed. I made an appointment in April for May 1st to get my tires swapped, oil changed and a price on my broken sway bar. When I dropped my car off I asked about the sway bar, and they said their techs are slammed right now so they'll see. An hour later i get a text saying my car's ready. The oil change and tire swap was done but they told me they had no time for the sway bar (this was at 10AM) and that i would have to re book at a later date. I had already waited a month to get in so I ended up booking elsewhere and getting in within a week. Customer service has just gone a bit down hill, sad to see because I really liked it at first.

This team is great. Professional, knowledgeable, great work ethic and fast. I never walk in without hearing someone saying hello. There are refreshments and a public washroom (super clean). I usually book online appointments and have never had any issues. There is a disclaimer on the website when booking that says to allow 90 minutes for the appointment. You never know when things may come up, but I haven't had to wait quite that long yet!

My husband, son and I were travelling for vacation and got into an accident just outside of North Bay. We still had 9 hours of driving to do. Kal-tire took us in right away to help align the truck and get it drive-able again. The customer service was outstanding. They let us use the company van to take our son to the hospital to get checked and showed their care for him with having the van cooled off (as it was a hot day). The customer service was amazing, the cost was reasonable, and the work done is reliable. I would highly recommend Kal-tire North Bay.

Have phoned multiple times asking for prices on a set 4 winter tires and rims, have heard nothing back. First call I was told they would get back to me at the end of the day, I gave my name, number and tire info and waited... nothing. I phoned back two days later and was told they were sorry and would again get back to me when they were available later that day... nothing, been over a week now. How many times do I need to call you and remind you to call me? Poor customer service. Even if they were unable to acquire tires in the size I needed they should have phoned me back. I guess they don't want my money? Don't waste time with these jokers.

Communication is lacking. After weeks of a specialized machine being down it was finally fixed. Previous attempts during machine failure was told to call and make an appointment. Called days ahead for tire siping appointment. Was told "it's performed on the back pad and they do not take appointments". So said if I show up at opening (was told 730 Saturday, it's 8am) they could deal with it right away. "Yes very good chance". Told them I'd be from out of town driving an hour and a half. Show up, pad is empty and get asked to leave it all day. Then asked to leave it in the morning. Well this is my third trip for the service so I'm stuck, not doing this again. Call to make an appointment was told appointment not taken or needed. Show up to be told I should have made an appointment.

I called Kal Tire to make an appointment to get my winter tires mounted. I was told to be there by 7:30 am and I would be able to get the tires mounted. I arrived at 7:00 am and waited for them to open. I was the third person at the service counter and my car was taken in with in 10 minutes and I had it back by 8:30. But what these guys wanted to charge up front for mobile service before even showing up to access the situation. Well, I'm sure the service would be there, but have deep pockets to hire these guys. I have used these guys in big city's and they have always been pretty good. Their Mobile department? Uhm no. Take this with a grain of salt if you may.

went into kal tire with a simple request, like many people who find tires that will fit thier vehicle. but they are just mounted on the wrong rims. take the tires off these loose wheels and mount them on my van rims. took over an hour and i was then made a bill for two tire change overs. so i payed the bill because inused to work there and the way things are being run there i heard from all former employees like myself. things are getting teally bad there. so i was billed $175 for two mount and balance. i go to grab my vehicle and sure enough. they had indeed mounted the old tires from my van onto the loose rims i brought in. not wanting to waste anymore time at this location i cut my losses and ill NEVER set foot in another kal tire again. ive worked with minute tune and brake. ive worked with fountain tire. va also worked woth canadian tire. never in my life have i worked with a more incompetent leader in my life as when i had to work with rob from kal tire. i heard it was bad, this proved to be worse than i expected. i at leadt though they would understand a simple request. they even asked the right questions like. are you keeping the old tires. “yes” are you keeping the steel rims “yes” so you want these tires off the steel rims mounted on the van mag wheels. “yes” . a was around the entire time. not once did someone ask me if i wanted the old tires from the van put on the loose steel wheels. no wonder Rob has lost every good employee that used to work there. rich the former manager was breaking records at that location. now i imagine this location barely breaks even. and this is why: incompetancy is not tolerated in customer service. period!!

Very disappointed with their service! I brought my SUV in for new Winter tires in October of 2018. When they were doing the tire changing, they punctured one of my all-season tires by lowering the hoist on it. I was told at that time that they would provide me with a replacement in the Spring, when I came back to have the All-seasons put back on. I was assured that they would have one with comparable wear and style to my other All-Seasons. At no time did they suggest that this would be a difficult task and I trusted them to start looking for a replacement right away. When I booked my appointment for Apr.27 to have the Winter tires taken off, I reminded them that they owed me a tire and was assured that they had a tire for me. When I showed up for the appointment, Mike told me they didn't have one in stock and that if they did, there were no notes on file as to where it would be, and that they have so many tires "back there" they wouldn't know where to look. So, he called another store and arranged to have one sent from Sudbury, which we re-scheduled for Apr30 changeover. He told me it wasn't the same brand of tire, but the tread pattern and depth were similar. They put my all-seasons back on & the replacement as scheduled, but when I got home, I realized it was a WINTER TIRE that they had replaced mine with. My husband asked Pam about this the next day, and she said I agreed to this so that I could get my Winter tires off and that they were looking for another. I called her the next day to advise her that I was never told that it was a Winter tire and to be honest she got a little abrupt with me, saying that it wasn't a safety concern and she was looking for another tire but my tire size is not common and with the tread wear I have they would have to look out of province. They would call when they got a replacement. It has been two weeks now and so far no call! When my husband called to ask Pam, once by phone and once in person, she was not available and has not returned his call. We have dealt with KalTire in the past and thought they did good work but by not dealing with this issue, they are showing that their customer service is lacking.

Due to the response I received here from the owner, I decided to give them another chance when our family's other vehicle came due for an oil change. I am happy to say the service was great on all levels and I have upgraded my rating to five stars. This business is well known for its great service in town and this has been shared with me by multiple aquaintences. They were noticeably honest in their dealings with me in regards to the maintenance my vehicle required beyond the oil change, and checked with me before performing what needed to be done.

Went in to have my tires balanced. The staff helping me were quite helpful, however the price was outrageous! I was only there for a tire balance, not an install and balance. I was charged $25 a tire, and that was only after I balked at the $32.95 that they were going to charge me. I expected to pay $10 or $15 a tire to have them balanced like other shops in the area, it was last minute, I was in a bind and had to pay the ridiculous price.

It was a quick visit. I'd bought tires here about 3 weeks before when I got flat. They replaced the tire and didn't charge. I was in and out of there in about 30 minutes without an appointment. It was, however, no longer there peak season so that's why it was so fast. But they have a clean sitting area with coffee, tea, water, and popcorn

If I could give minus 5 star I would. Purchased two summer tires for my daughters SUV. Appointment made for install and tire swap, (winter to summer). Phoned ahead and made sure all was good. SUV was to be dropped off and picked up the fallowing day. Phoned next day to see if all was complete. Was told it was ready and we were good to go. Arrived there, only to discover that they had not even touched the vehicle. Now if you can believe this, it gets better, (or worse). Was told to come back later that in the afternoon and it would be ready. My daughter phoned a friend and told her to come over there and they would install everything for us. So we opted to do that, as we were a little upset with the service we had received. Phoned them back and asked them to put the two new tires in the vehicle and that we would be picking them up. Arrived there, PAID for the two new tires and went to get in the vehicle. Guess what, NO TIRES. Phoned back, (can't go in the office as covid-19 rules), and asked where the tires are. They sent two different people out to check to see if they where in the SUV. After waiting outside for another 45 minutes, they came out and said they could not find the tires. They refunded us the purchase and we left. Not happy campers. I get these are difficult times, and things are not normal, I get that, but when you call ahead to confirm and are told all is good, well that doesn't cut mustard. There is no excuse for it. Quick shout out to John over at Hometown Garage, had our vehicle in at 3 and out by 4, all done, with two new front tires and $15.00 less than Kal Tire.

Get a call 4 days ahead your tires are in please come in tomorrow-great get them sooner, work outside of town so told Kal Tire Tech that I'll arrange a ride, drop keys off in key slot and pick up at 4:30pm he agrees. Go to pick up truck and no tires on it, they were real busy and its first come first serve. So my scheduled appointment gets bumped all day. Have had good past experience but a poor recent experience. We asked for a quote for 5 tires mounted on rims (realize this is strange but it was to also replace the worn full size spare on a 2007 Rav4). Quote was provided, schedule was set. What was said was that the tires asked for were extremely rare and they would take some time to come in (who knew that one of the most popular small SUVs with stock rims had rare tires...). At the appointment it was confirmed that we were there for replacement of 5 tires. The appointment took longer then expected but in the end the invoice was for 4 tires and attempts to upsell were made (brakes, alignment...). The attendant tried to convince us that the spare was not the same size as the other tires and that this was confirmed by their mechanic. After an unnecessarily lengthy discussion and what seemed to be lie after lie, it was conceded that the mechanic made a mistake and that "they would fix it". We asked to have it fixed immediately but we were told that they had sold 3 sets of those "rare" tires that same day and didn't have any other in stock.... In the end, the "fix" was a new appointment for which the totality of the charge was greater then what they originally quoted and they damage to the soft wheel cover for the spare (but its old and brittle anyway). If this "fix" ended up with payment equal to what was quoted everything would have been A-OK; but it wasn't... All in all, poor customer service, poor technical expertise, passing blame to others and poor workmanship in this particular case. Will think twice before going back.

My daughter is in 1st year university university in North Bay. Our first experience with this outlet was our trip up for her start of school. 350 kilometers away we got a screw in the tire. We filled air ever 90 k. First thing in the morning I went to Kal. They had the doors open early. I met Kim Lee who is the Franchise operator. He immediately took my daughters car in and fixed so we could get onto our day of moving. He expressed that if she needed anything just to contact him day or night. February my daughter had the unfortunate meeting with a huge pot hole. Destroyed her rim and possibly tire. It had to be towed. On to Kal tire. A rim has to be ordered. The entire bill was covered by North Bay. Kal took the time to the time to to do the repair. They checked the suspension and steering and did a road test. They picked her up and Mike a true gentleman waited for her. He opened the door for, and made her feel like a lady. He explained everything they did. Being close to 500 kilometers away it was very satisfying to know that these wonderful people took care of my daughter without hesitation and treated us both more as friends than customers. Hats off to North Bay Kal Tire!!!

Ordered a Tire balance as I was experiencing vibrations while driving, but they found out the problem was something else and fixed it, without charging for the balancing. A lot of places would have still carried out the balancing regardless and charged me for it, so I'm pretty impressed with the customer service and honesty of the staff. Plus you can't really go wrong with a place that has a popcorn machine in its waiting area! Will definitely come back again. NB. For those complaining about the long wait times, the reason you might have a bit of a wait is because so many people come in to get their tires done - which if you think about it is just a positive reflection on the high quality of the staff and service offered by Kal Tire North Bay.

They are excellent at providing accurate information about what needs to be done and wont try and dupe you out of money for work that isnt required, like some main dealers. I'll definitely be sending all my vehicles here in the future.

The service from All staff is Fantastic!! I had tires plus some work done since they Now are full service. Only complaint is my tires should have been filled to 35 and when I finally got home with my sensor still on they were at 25 all around....
