I can't stand this place. The din is beyond acceptable and the lack of any organization in their kitchen is obvious with people fumbling around each other, no one's sure who is on till or taking orders or who's going to get the coffee. What a fiasco. And there really isn't any theme to the place with wobbly tables, that are too close together and a stupid couch set up that takes up way too much room for the place but must "look nice" like a Chapters or something. You have to yell to be heard or lean into your friend at the table to talk over the echoing clanging of dishes, cooking utensils, chatter and I didn't even realize until I went to the bathroom that there was actually speakers with some kind of noise coming out of them substituting for music. And the whole dirty spoon/clean spoon thing is gross. Nobody knows how many spoons are reused there as I find a dirty one in the clean bucket the few times I've been there. People have asked me to meet them there but I won't go anymore. I'd rather sit in a plastic cold distorted seat at a fast food restaurant and suffer anal pain rather than auditory damage.

Love this place. Staff are always happy and friendly. Prices are decent and food/drinks are really good. Even had them cater our Christmas luncheon for work last Christmas. Comfortable atmosphere to relax with a coffee, read a book or just study for that exam coming up.

family and I were driving, so we ordered online as we approached Cranbrook while I was driving my wife ordered online, it was very easy to order. The cafe is super close to the main road, going and picking up the food was only about a 5 minute detour. Well worth it, the food is always excellent there. Every-time I drive through Cranbrook I make a point to stop at hot shots.

Although Hot Shots is rather noisy, the food is absolutely delicious, and their drinks are superb. My favourites are their Ice Cappuccinos and their salads. Portions are quite large and tasty, although a little expensive. Overall, Hot Shots is a fabulous place to go if you don't mind the noise.

If you're coming to Cranbrook and you're looking for a great place to have a hot cup of coffee in a bustling environment this would probably be one of the places you want to add to your list. The menu is excellent here, the food is fresh, flavorful, and the staff always serve you with a friendly smile. This is a good place for business meetings with clients that enjoy a fun and dynamic environment. The patio was improved a couple of years ago and is also quite a nice place to hang out on a sunny warm day.

Hot shots is a great place for breakfast lunch dinner and snacks. Coffee is great, tea is even better. My wife and kid love the mixed drinks, and in the winter the mulled wine is excellent. This double feature location features a Thai restaurant, called Lemon Grass Thai Restaurant, and an upscale coffee house (hot shots) serving near perfect coffees, lattes and cappuccinos as well as smoothies, teas and hot chocolates, They also have home style baked goods. I have been in this restaurant multiple times and never disappointed. Whether I go on a date and order some coffee drinks, or I want a Thai culinary experience, this place has yet to let me down. The food is good and affordable. perhaps a bit more upscale then your average coffee shop, but then again, this place is a bit more upscale then the average coffee shop. The ambiance is great and friendly, the staff are active and efficient, the managers are approachable and the seats are comfortable. There is a patio, a drive through for those in a rush, this place has it all. This place is great for gatherings, dates, friendly re-unions, or simply for working on homework or playing online (there is free WiFi) I personally will be sure to return in the near future.

The quality is unmatched! They have some of the best food in this town . However , the inconveniences I always have when I order from here make me remove 2 stars from otherwise a 5 star business . Almost every single time I order there is a mistake . They either forget to put something on my wrap or they forget to give me my drink and I have to wait an extra 5 for them to get organized and have it ready . They should not have an online ordering system if they don’t know how to use it . Today for example . I got a confirmation text saying when to come pick my order up and when we arrived they claimed they never got the order and we had to sit there and wait for them to re make the whole order ... it’s just getting ridiculous the amount of screw ups. Friendly staff and great food and drinks tho ! :)

Awesome place to stop by if you're around the area!! We came here for lunch as we head back to Edmonton. We ordered a thai coconut noodle soup with prawn and a red thai curry bowl with chicken, came to about 32 dollars?? A bit pricey for what you get but no doubt, they use fresh ingredients and very tasty. Red thai curry could be spicier but the curry was perfect. Thai coconut noodle soup was full of flavors as well. You basically order food in the front then grab a seat wherever (they give you a numbered wooden spoon) and the server will find your number and bring you your food.

The food is incredibly wholesome (for both carnivores, and herbivores), the atmosphere is beautiful. And what impressed us most was the paper straws, which shows that the owners have their hearts and minds in the right place. We'll be going out of our way to come here again.

I am from Vancouver BC, my husband and I went to Cranbrook for a business trip. We were amazed and highly satisfied at the customer service we received from the young students working there. Very professional and extremely kind. Most importantly the food was DELICIOUS and the quality was outstanding considering the price point was very reasonable. I would recommend this place for anyone looking to grab good eats.

It could have been 5 stars but there was too much lime in my Tom Yum and not enough chicken. Perhaps serve lime on the side, so customer can adjust as per their taste. Otherwise, we also tried one of the bowls with yellow curry and that was exceptional! Still not enough tofu. Great place and customer service. I will definitely return and try more items on the menu and this place is definitely recommended if you're in or passing by Cranbrook.

My Wife and I have always enjoyed Hot Shots. Our weekend treat is having a light breakfast here. Great service and good food. It can be busy on most occasions, especially on the weekends but that's not a bad thing, that means they are doing something right.

Absolutely delicious food, great beverages, cool atmosphere. This is not the coffee shop to hit up when you need something fast though! They're pretty busy and haven't quite got the speed on take out meals. But definitely an awesome place to go have a coffee and visit with a friend!

The coffee and food are great and the size and layout are nifty, but the music is always so loud that I need to repeat my order a few times before staff hear the whole thing, and having a conversation is nearly impossible.

They don’t have a gluten free alternative for the chips that come with the soup and wanted to charge extra for gluten free bread. They didn’t offer to charge less money for an incomplete meal without the pita chips. Disappointing :/ They should offer veggies or something alternative or charge less. Their matcha is fake and mostly sugar. It made me immediately nauseous. Very disappointed.

It seams like every other time I go for lunch I get terrible service. Drive-through, online ordering, and a dining room seem to be too much for the kitchen to handle when it gets busy. Today I waited for my entire party to finish eating their food to get mine; a mushy, over-cooked Pad Thai. There was no acknowledgment, no apology, and no quality-check. Further more, the prompt for a tip before service is a bit backwards. The tip is supposed to reflect the quality of the service. Having left a tip, "stupid me" ended up rewarding bad service. Hopefully they can make some adjustments. Hot Shots, for me, has been one of the better places in town to eat.

Coffee was great. Service was friendly. Drank our coffees on the patio. Surprised to see a dog in the patio area and signs allowing it as BC health regulations do not allow this. No big deal until a second dog arrived which caused a lot of barking from the first one. Owner unable or unwilling to keep it quiet. So much for a relaxing coffee.

Honest review. 1st time went through drive thru. friendly staff at window .ordered ham swiss melt small dark roast coffee.coffe was terrible taste like warm milky water.melt was ok not much flavour.overall better off going to mcdonalds

Food is unreal. Unfortunately every single time I've been there something is a mistake. Its either they miss something in our order or make a mistake. This time we ordered two rice bowls that took 20+ minutes to make but they only made 1. Orders should be repeated to customers if confused. We are on a road trip and stop here everytime but man, I cant wait an extra 20 minutes because the cashiers can't get orders right.

Food is very very good when they get your order correct and the coffee is fantastic. Prior to the pandemic they were extremely organized and rarely got orders incorrect. In the last few months every time I've gone there they I've had to repeat my order continuously to the people at the till since they can't hear you through the massive plexiglass barrier and then they end up getting the order incorrect. It's a shame since the food is so good. Perhaps a screen that says what order you put in to ensure the staff puts the right order in and the customer can see that would help.
