Where do I even begin with Bigfoot. This place has to be one of the best donut shops I’ve ever had, and I welcome any place to challenge that. This little, but mighty donut and coffee shop is one in a million, from unique donuts to amazing coffees and amazing home style biscuits and soup and many savoury items. There's something for everyone even gluten free options on Saturdays. The owners and staff are local, friendly and funny! Come on in for a pick me up, lunch or even some awesome swag! Love this shop and I'm happy it's made its home here in the valley!

I havent had a donut in years and when i think of donuts i think of chain fast food. Decided to stop in to try a donut and was it ever fantastic. We shared a samoa and everything from the crunchy coconut topping to the cake part were yummy. We were sad when it was gone. Friendly service in a great location in cute downtown Courtenay.

Yes, their donuts are amazing. That's old news. However, let's not ignore their coffee. I'm a fan of Americanos and I've tried every coffee shop in town (I think). Bigfoot's Americano is not only one of the most affordable in town, it's one of the best. They're also very accommodating and will pour it (touchless) into my reusable travel mug. Oh yes, they also have amazing, friendly and efficient staff. Bravo and thank you!

Finally made it to Bigfoot Donuts & they did not disappoint! Their doughnuts are light & fluffy & full of flavour. We bought a bunch of their signature Bigfoot Doughnuts to take home for the kids. They were a couple of days old by the time we got home from our trip (we stored them in an airtight container in the fridge) but our kids inhaled them! Did I mention they have some pretty amazing breakfast sandwiches too?! Definitely worth the stop while in Courtenay or passing through! @inspiringfoodie

If only it tasted as good as it looks. Being a donut connoisseur I been wanting to try this place out. I ordered the original glaze $2 and banana frites $3. The original glaze has a slightly chewy texture rather than soft and light (personal preference). The glaze was mostly on the one side of the donut. The banana frites had a hint of crunchiness and banana taste. Same issue with the glaze, it was on the one side mostly (photos I took was on the glaze side). Both donuts are bigger than Tim's but they need to do better on the glazing. Overall still pretty decent donuts. Taste wise I prefer Peaks Donuts in Campbell River a little more over these ones but they are decent donuts. The guy working there is friendlier than Peaks. They look Instagram worthy but taste and texture could use a little tweeking.

A true gem. Get yourself here and buy some donuts! Every donut had an initial soft crunch that is unique among donuts. The best was the 'OG'. These are a bit expensive but worth it, although less expensive than Vancouver's premium donuts. I'd say even better than Portland Voodoo donuts.

Drove an hour to try the ‘best donuts’ and they were sold out by 12 and we got there at 12:30. They’re open to 2:30… not happy with that. But it must be a testament to how good their donuts are. Update: we called ahead this time, reserved 2 donuts, but they had plenty left at 1:30. Well worth the trip back, excellent donuts. Changed from a 3 to 5 star. If you plan to go here, just make sure you’re not going on a day they have a special event, unless you plan on getting there early because you will miss out. Thanks for the reply and suggestion to my original review!

Where do I even begin?! This place is great from the friendly staff, to the delicious creations that Jay and Lyndsey bring to us everyday. I’m always waiting in anticipation for what new masterpieces this dynamic duo brings to the table every month. I want to compare Bigfoot Donuts to some other place, but it's really in league of its own. The donuts are incredible, both the regular menu and the couple of rotating monthly offerings that I've tried. The other thing that sets Bigfoot apart is the staff. Every customer is important there, and every experience is fun. Plus, since I work for a pretty large organization, I sometimes have large orders, which Bigfoot has always been very helpful with. If there is anybody in the Comox Valley who hasn't been here, do it. It'll be worth it. If there is anybody visiting or passing through, go to Bigfoot to learn the true potential of a donut.

I have been coming to Bigfoot almost everyday for the better part of a year. Hands down the best Coffee and Donuts in town! Locally owned with the heart and soul of the Comox Valley. Try to get there early on Saturday to avoid the line-up! Staff is always amazing, extremely friendly, inviting and karasmic! If you are making your way through the Valley, make sure to stop by Bigfoot!

It's good. There really is not much else to say about it. I love how the selection changes all the time. Their "full-time" donuts are nothing to complain about, but I really enjoy their rotating selection. Their stock is prepared the night before, so they can run out and close early, and that is the only real issue. But it guarantees your donuts will be fresh! So be there early and beat the rush!

Friendly atmosphere, and although the hours aren’t really accessible to me (I work nights), still flexible if you’re a morning person. Also, the donuts they serve are tasty, filling and a fresh take, since they have monthly flavours. Recommend as an alternative to Tim Hortons, if you’re looking for a solid, home grown donut shop!

The donut tower was a HUGE hit for my partners 30th. Glad I got another extra donut added as the whole thing disappeared in minutes. Everyone was asking where I got it from. Bigfoot needs to make these more well known as No one knew bigfoot made the towers. Amazing bday cake.

I'm gluten-free so I have not tried their standard donuts but I have tried their gluten-free one. I would love to see something other than Sour Cream Old Fashioned for the gf option but maybe I am just not checking enough. Everyone who I have spoken to about the regular donuts raves about them, and I know they sell out almost daily. Definitely worth the stop if you're in the area.

Very friendly service, speedy as well. The COVID-19 safety precautions were done well as they had switched to a walk-up window vs. being able to go inside. The donut selection was good, not too many choices but enough to satisfy most people's craving. We pickup our order up around 1pm on a Saturday and we really enjoyed the sour cream donut as well as the cruller. The only vice I have against the whole order is that the donuts seemed to be dry and/or a little old. It felt like they were made the evening before. When I am back in Courtney again, I will try coming earlier and see if the freshness is better.

Their donuts are phenomenal without a doubt. It’s a bit of a drive for me to get there, but when I do go there for the occasionally for a morning indulgent, it’s been worth the commute. You will read so many positive reviews and see many mouth drooling photos from patrons that will put you in a state. But I think, what makes the place remarkable are the staff and the regular community members that go there. Every time I go there, I am stunned by their creations. I get a bit confused (as my partner always points out) and thus intimidated on what to order (even though I have clear instructions on what to get). The regulars always seem to be quick and know exactly what to get (I know, I shouldn’t have this problem). Anyways, to get to the point, I messed up my order, she fixed it, I tried to re-fix it $, and she said it wasn’t a problem and I came out with extras. Granted it was getting busy, they were probably annoyed that I couldn’t order straight and so I was willing to get back in line to pay extra but the staff member said “no, it’s not going to happen, even if you get back in line”. And then other people in line jumped in and said I would lose the argument even if I tried to refute. I felt bad (and it was a hard week), and the people there made it okay to move on from my mistake. Not sure if this is a true review, but I just wanted to say again, “thanks”. :)

Donuts here are great! Have not had one I didn't like. The only problem is you have to get here early for a good selection, they tend to sell out fairly quickly. Personal favorite is the trusty old Apple Fritter. Typically my go-to, but they did have one the other day, I think it was "Blackberry Apple Pie" or something like that. Insanely delicious.
