We wanted to try this place because we’ve never been there. The serving time was insanely quick, and the food was even more quick, but we got luck of the draw there. The milkshake we got was pretty good as well. What amazed me with the main course. I got the Black and Blur burger, and it definitely wasn’t what I was expecting. I forget but it either has Blue or Brie cheese, and my god it’s the best burger I have ever had. I wanted to go back for a second one but the price deterred me a little. Either way, it was juicy, really creamy (from the cheese) and the bacon was crisp and delicious. My cease salad was good, but I was longing for a bit more dressing on it. Either way, can’t complain for a side. Simone got a spaghetti dish. It was tasty, and I wasn’t expecting the spice factor but it really lifted the dish onto a new playing field. It was tasty. If you know where to look, go here. You will be surprised, the stuff they serve here should make it a lot more popular than it is.

The Kabocha Squash Taco was the most amazing tasting veggie taco I’ve ever had. You need to try it! If your a veggie person or not it’s so amazing! Also I love their chocolate mouse, so good! Atlas has been a place my friends and family have gone to for years, ever since I was a little child. Will always support local and yummy tasting food!

I rate this a 10 out of 10 This was one of the best Restaurants! I have ever been too dating back to May 2018. My relatives and I stopped here for dinner, When we frist walked in here it was a amazing fridendy atmosphere our server that took us to our table brought us our food and drinks was very nice and helpful, I older their delicious enchiladas with pull pork and a side older of ceaser salad. When I frist took a bite into my enchiladas I felt like I was in heaven my taste buds were going off like fireworks of how delicious they made it all the flavours were there no complaints at all we were satisfied of our meals I give thank's to the Chefs for making our delicious food here and the servers that brought us our food Amazing experience.

As a human who is all about good food and food culture, I am glad I had a chance to visit Atlas. I had the Angela Burger. Delicious! And the housemade beef patty would have been good enough to eat by itself. We treated ourselves to southern style Iced Tea (as opposed to the more common Canadian "Sweet Tea") and lattes (pictured). Even the lattes seemed to have been made of housemade ingredients - not too sweet, just a wonderful amalgamation of spices. We were drawn in by the "Best in Comox" reviews, which made us laugh as Atlas is in Courtenay ... But you know what? It's the one of the best restaurants in Courtenay. And Comox. Easily. To top off their delicious, filling food, their staff are polite and trained well. Great experience all around.

The menu was as inventive as it was delicious. The staff were courteous and the environment was clean. My only reservation was that the cocktails were not tasty. I thought I had made a poor choice but the others were disappointed with their cocktails as well.

Stumbled upon this place by accident while camping in Courtenay and sure glad we did. The Server was lovely and good with her recommendations, I had the pulled pork breakfast bowl and it was fabulous! The coffee is good, the food is great and the people are lovely! Great atmosphere! You will not be disappointed.

Because of Covid, we are very picky where we eat. We feel safe at Atlas as the tables are very far apart. You enter the restaurant at one door and leave at another making it a safe experience. The new dish Atlas Breakfast Bowl is very good. Food and service has been very consistent at this restaurant for many years.

My friend recommended this place. I was a bit skeptical going into it because they didn't have fries as a side. Glad I was wrong because the salad was fresh and full of flavor and the burger had a great char taste to it. My friend meal also looked hardy and delicious too. Service was friendly and quick. The ambient in the dining area was comfortable.

Soooooo good. We were a bit unsure at first because their menu is quite large and sometimes that means the restaurant is less focused on quality. Not the case here. Everything we ordered was delicious, flavourful, tender and cooked to perfection. Quite possibly the best restaurant in Courtenay and at a great price point.

Chicken Quesadilla was basically a couple of small pieces of chicken in a pita bread with a small Caesar salad on the side. That plus tip $17. Not too impressed. Coffee was not too bad.

EDIT: we initially rated Atlas 1 star due to the below experience, but I would like to note a change to 3 stars. The co-owner, Sandra, has really impressed us with her swift and genuine response to our experience. We are going to make one more trip to give Atlas a try, and Sandra has been very kind, understanding, and communicative. This kind of response is unusual to us, in the best way. Despite our initial experiences, Atlas is clearly well managed and under excellent ownership who do care about their patrons. Original review: My husband and I have been to Atlas twice; the first two experiences were pretty un-memorable; to be frank, I can’t even recall what I tried. Not bad experiences, but not particularly good either. However…over the holidays, we received a gift card to Atlas as a thank you for looking after our friend’s cats. We have now tried twice to use the gift card and had poor experiences both times We were a half hour drive away in Oyster River, but on Tuesday the 4th, we got in the truck and plunged into the snow to have a nice night out together that we both badly needed after a difficult holiday season. When we arrived, the restaurant was closed, despite us showing up during their advertised open hours. This was frustrating but of course we understand between weather and staffing crises in the area, it happens. At least the staff left a note on the door for those who were showing up. Fast forward to Thursday the 6th at about 1pm, we decide to try again after I finished work at 3pm. My husband called around 1:15pm to confirm the restaurant was open, and he was told it would be until 6pm, so we confirmed we’d go later. I finished work, we got ready, did the 30 min drive again, arrived around 4pm…on arrival, doors were all locked, lights off, restaurant empty, but no note on the doors…we hovered around a moment, very confused as we had been told it would be open only a few hours before we arrived. Someone finally came out and told us they had arbitrarily closed. No signs on any of the 3 doors. We had told the person on the phone that we were coming and that this was our second try, so someone knew…no f*cks given apparently. So we’ve now wasted 2 hours of our lives and 2 hours worth of gas on 2 unnecessary trips back and forth for nothing. Honestly, this restaurant seems highly unreliable. We have a very generous, untapped gift card to use and now we don’t even want to use that thoughtful gift from our friend because we don’t want to return to Atlas again. We wanted to be sure to share our honest experience so nobody else wastes their time like we did.

My partner and I visited Atlas for breakfast. The menu and food were AMAZING but more importantly we wanted to comment that the service was unbelievably good. Everyone who worked there just seemed to be so happy to be there, helping each other and saying nice things about the business and ownership. Truly - it was apparent that staff here are appreciated and happy staff make the hugest difference as the face of the business. Whatever you guys are doing to show your staff they matter to you - keep it up.

We're trying to support our restaurant community during the "downtime". Tonight we ordered takeout quesadillas with Ceasar salad. Easy to use take out page, order in advance,they bring it to the car. Absolutely delicious. We haven't been to Atlas for a while but we're loving the takeout!! Keep going guys, this too shall pass!

Delicious lunch at Atlas Café. I was greeted upon entering and sat right away. Definitely a popular place for lunch in beautiful downtown Courtenay. I enjoyed the seafood on toast, which was local clams in a red Thai curry sauce. The flavour and local ingredients came together for a wonderful starter. I also had the smoked salmon pockets, which were very good. Thank you for a lovely lunch Atlas café.

It was a quaint spot. Nice atmosphere. Quite dusty where we were sitting under a sunny window. Lol. Like, lots of dust and hair floating around. We could see it all in the sunlight. I don't know perhaps if they need better ventilation? It would not stop me from going back though. There's dust in our air everywhere we go. :) The food was delicious. I forgot to take photos of the meals but ordered at the table was the Heurvos Rancheros, and the Classic Breakfast. Fresh ingredients. Tasty meals. The service was really nice. Very friendly, and smiling staff. They had a separate breakfast menu which I forgot to snap a photo of.

Loved this place! Great food and great service. The staff was super friendly and went out of their way to make sure we were happy with our meal. The atmosphere was warm and comfortable and the washroom was also exceedingly clean and very modern looking. The menu offered a vast array of delicious and sumptuous meals and an extensive list of wines and spirits. I have no doubt that your dining experience will be an enjoyable time that will be long remembered.

I’ve been to Atlas multiple times. Every time for brunch and it is always outstanding. I’ve sat inside and I’ve sat on their patio. The service is always friendly and helpful and fast. They make one of the best caesars I’ve ever had. Their eggs benny is perfection. The ingredients are obviously fresh. I always look forward to a good meal at Atlas. Maybe I’ll have to come back for a lunch or supper experience soon.

This place came recommended by a friend. It is a quaint little restaurant that is compliant with Covid protocols. I felt very comfortable and safe coming here. Service is top notch. Our server was pleasant and knowledgeable of the food that is available. The food is excellent. Very tasty, well presented. It did take a little while to get our food but they were very busy. Customers were waiting to get in, it is that popular. Like many restaurants, they are working hard to get staffing levels up so those that are there are working very very hard and I applaud them for their services. I definitely recommend this place to everyone.

I've never enjoyed eating salad until I had the quinoa salad !! Truly life changing. It was the best thing I've ever tasted and been craving it a lot recently. Super impressed with the service and the food quality/variety. Also was my first time ordering/tasting a fish taco and was truly impressed. Hands down my favorite restaurant in the valley.

Great comfort food with a variety of options on the menu. Starting with the seasonal squash appy, we were pleasantly surprised with the fall-inspired flavours. The Island shellfish of the day were clams, which were excellent and provided a good serving for two people to share. Recommend the red thai-style sauce. Spicy tuna-belly taco held this review back from a 5/5. The shell was very slightly stale but overall the flavours were complementary to each other. Would recommend and return - excellent service!

My daughter and I had lunch here. What a great atmosphere inside and a lovely patio at the back. We had attentive and amazing service! The food choices were excellent for someone with dietary restrictions such as gluten free, vegan or veg. I had a sear tuna salad (not sure what it is on the menu) and it was fantastic! I ended up buying a jar of the dressing to take home. I highly recommend this place to anyone. We will be back!

Ordered 7 meals for lunch via the online ordering. So user friendly! Went to pick up the food and was greeted with smiles (I think...they were all masked) and friendly service. Highly recommend eat in or take out! Everything was delicious!! We'll all be back!
