Nice little coffee house! It has good tasting coffees, teas, and snacks; it has a really nice interior and exterior design; the staff is friendly; and they are very accommodating to guests. (E.g. they even have a dog bowl for water so you can sit outside and your dogs will have something to drink too)

Fabulous coffee and food selection. Got a Waves cappuccino with actual melted dark chocolate melted and a Maple macchiato. WOW. Coffee has no bitter bite like Starbucks and the REAL chocolate and maple syrup are SO much tastier & healthier than Starbucks artificial flavors pumped from bottles. Breakfast loaf and egg/potato fold over were great too. Staff super cute and friendly, great atmosphere and solid WiFi. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !!!

It's a great little coffee shop, and a really nice alternative to Starbucks. The drinks are, like Starbucks, a little pricey. I especially love the specialty drinks based on Rooibos tea--like a Rooibos Mocha, Rooibos Symphony, etc. No caffeine (perfect for later in the day) but a nice hot drink with the familiarity of the usual flavours of a coffee.

27 August 2021: It is unfortunate when you as a customer are discriminated against. The poor waitress, I felt so sorry for her when she had to tell me, that even if I'm exempt, I still have to wear a mask, that is company policy. You can sit without a mask, but not stand without a mask. So much sense. I will tell everybody that I know about this incident, and have already started, that Waves Coffee House discriminates.

Came in there to get a coffee yesterday and didn’t wear a mask because I am medically exempt and the lady behind the counter told me that her manager said there are no exceptions for mask mandates and didn’t serve me because of this. The manager of this location should be ashamed of themselves. This is a human rights violation.

The Rate

This place is VERY discriminating against people with medical conditions! Super sick to know that they won't serve you if you have a medical condition and cannot wear a mask. What's next? If you can't walk and are in a wheel chair will they turn you away as well? It's actually AGAINST the law and against the human rights act to discriminate against people because they have a medical condition!!

While definitely expensive, the experience was superb! The staff was beyond reproach; Marlee was fantastic! She is the assistant manager AND was our bartender, she was an incredible host and offered fantastic local recommendations for our trip and made the most exquisite drinks. I am not a fan of this Waves location as compared to other stores I have visited. There is only 2 sizes of beverage, the decaf option is Americano style only and it is much too weak with only 2 shots to a Waves size cup. The pricing here on all food and beverages seems to reflect it's perceived "high end" location and I have had several unpleasant quibbles with a poorly trained, snotty staff. The manager has an attitude which I find unpleasant and it seems to resonate with the staff. I only go here to join friends who live nearby.

I think I had a new guy making my frappe. He had to go back and add soy milk a couple times to the blender. The frappe was mostly liquid. It was half-price day, and the worker looked confused/overwhelmed, so I'd give them another shot. I've only ever ordered lattes from here prior, and they've always been perfect. Dining area and bathrooms are always clean.
