Fish on a bun had more batter than fish, super drippy coleslaw both under and on the top so the whole thing fell apart as soon as I tried to pick it up, fries were disappointing too, looked good but not crispy and dry inside. Also really expensive for what we got. Waitress was great but I won't be back.

Worst caesar salad by far. Please Google a basic recipe for this salad and if it is too difficult then remove it from the menu. Fries seem to be under a heat lamp rather than served as cooked. They have been served a couple of times only warm and had to send them back.

Not the Wimpy's burger chain I remember from back in the day. No more jukeboxes at tables. Server was shocked when I told her I was dissatisfied. Burger was tasteless and could pass as previously frozen. 3 stars is maybe a tad generous. Too bad, the original 80's Wimpy's diner concept was good wholesome food.

Excellent food and service, charming and cozy. Trying to get in, we were met with a stiff door that needed more effort than I expected to open, so we stood by the glass reading the Covid sign and wondering whether we had to call ahead to be let in. Thankfully, a random customer walked over and motioned us to come in so I pulled harder on the door - that did the trick. (I guess I was too Wimpy) I was seated in direct sunlight and without having said anything about it, a different random customer noticed the sun was blinding me and offered to lower the shade. So, two random strangers went out of their way to help us, and that was in the first 5 minutes. Our server was friendly, efficient and professional. Great people in Chatham. We'll be stopping at Wimpy's again the next tiem we pass through.

Went for brunch and was sat within 5 mins but from that point forward it was a mess. Took them 15 mins for a coffee and when i ordered it took forever to get the food out to me. The place was full but was starting to clear out so food making time should have been quick. I ordered the flashback combo and the eggs were undercooked so had them sent back. They then got remade and came back broken as i got sunny side up. I then informed her of this and said i will eat everything but the eggs and do not take them back now. I advised her as a server if a egg was broken u DO NOT serve it to your guest. I couldnt eat the sausages as they tasted aweful. I told them of this and rhey ended up discounting my meal. 1st bad experience there and ive been their a couple of time also work as a delivery driver so was going in to take pictures of the food to post to our site.... Needless to say that didnt happen was not impressed whats so ever.

Great place to visit if you are looking for a diner type of meal! Staff was curtious, friendly and timely for a half empty restaurant. Place is nicely decorated, and clean. The menu was a nice size, easy to understand, plenty of choices and options. The quality of the food was good. Served hot and all at once. I would recommend.

If you would like to pay for overpriced food that wreaks up the house with a smell akin to a locker room for men's hockey.. Then this is perfect restaurant for you. On New Years eve no less.. Yikes! I ordered 2 hotdogs with cheese, lettuce, mustard and ketchup. Not exactly the most difficult thing to accomplish. There was absolutely no lettuce, mustard or ketchup and only one hotdog had cheese on it. Thank goodness it was cheddar cheese with green consuming most of it. Don't eat here.. wow...

I just simply had some hash browns and bacon and it was really good fresh and hot but it was strange that our order came half at one time and the other half 5 minutes later but on the upside they were hot each time so you can't complain when the food was hot and fresh. Decided to try Whimpys for the first time and we were very disappointed. I would like to point out I was the only person in the restaurant ordering at the time....yet they still got my order wrong. I ordered no pickle and there was pickle and tonne of relish on my husbands burger. And I ordered only ketchup, Mayo, lettuce on my veggie and it was covered in Mustard (which I hate). My daughter hated the long burgers that don't fit the bun. Everyone was left unsatisfied. In my opinion it was pretty expensive for a burger joint and definitely not with the $65 spent.

What sticks out as a bad memory is the extremely long and unacceptable wait time we had to go through for our orders. We ordered Waffle Fries ($6), Wimpy's Famous Burger ($10.99), and 2 LB Chicken Wings & Fries ($26.99). The server mentioned that what took too long was the wings which they still had to prepare and cook. For something like a quick serve diner, there should be no reason for having to wait upwards of 35 minutes or so for an order. We had to see other guests come in later than us, but receive their food order ahead of us. When the food came, it was ordinary and typical. Nothing for it to stand out and differentiate from other similar establishments. It was fried and greasy. The burger looked good with its multiple patties stacked on top of each other, but the meat was not actually as juicy and it can be. The taste was actually a little bland. The saving grace of the whole ordeal was at least our server acknowledged that it was late and taking too long. She gave us a couple of fries orders to somewhat make up for the wait time we had to endure. All throughout our eating time, she was also very helpful and accommodating. I wanted to have a positive experience dining here, but the long wait time ruined it for me. It could have been worse, but at least the service somewhat made up for it.

I ordered a burger and fries, something I always order at a new place as a benchmark of sorts. The burger was good, but falling apart since it's unnecessarily long, the amount of relish and mustard on my burger was intense (very acidic) my fries were dry and flavorless. Overall I wanted to like it but was disappointed and was left with a bad experience.

I'm going to be honest, I really enjoyed walking in for my first time. I was excited to try this place and was happy to finally be in the position to give it a try. I ordered the famous burger for around $10 and added the extra drink and salad for $4.99. The prices are decent for what you get. I started off with deep fried pickle spears, They were pretty good. I finally got around to getting my meal, I took my first bite and was pretty happy with the quality of the meat, It was nice and tasty. I then was on my fourth bite and realized that I had a hair on my plate. I'm pretty grossed out by this and I'm sure many other people are. Now I didn't freak out, but did loose my appetite and didn't eat my salad or my burger. The waitress realized I was not eating and I told her that I lost my appetite due to the hair discovered on my plate. She asked if I wanted another one remade but I denied as I was already grossed out. She said sorry and I ended up ordering a cheescake for $3.99 so I can at least fill up on something. I wasn't really mad and was considering giving it another try as I write reviews on new places all over the world, I wanted to go back. I then got my bill and this was when I was really upset. I was told that the cheesecake was not charged and I got 25% off the bill, So I was still charged for the $15 meal that I did not eat, Only 4 bites from my burger and none from my salad. What should have happened and would have landed an excellent review would have been if I was not charged for the burger and salad, I would have rather paid for my cheesecake and got the $15 deducted from my bill. This is what most places have done and they continue to receive my support. I'm not too sure if I will be going back to wimpy's until I can contact the owners and review this in person or on the phone. I may then re visit and recommend to friends and family. As for now, This is not a recommendation. It's very sad that this was handled in such a bad way for customer experience. If things change in the future, This review will be updated.

What a great place to eat and have a great time! Chatham has needed a diner like this. We have been there several times and the food is consistently delicious. Portion sizes are huge. You can easily share a meal with another person if you wish. Prices I think are reasonable.

Favourite Wimpys location ! I wouldn’t focus on the bad reviews of this place, Prices are great for portion size! ( I eat a lot and I even had leftovers) Very clean and comfortable place to eat! There are a ton of options on the menu, something for everyone! My mom and I both got the steak special, Once arrived my mom changed her mind on how she wanted her steak done and the manager took it back no questions and cooked it longer for her. If you’re looking for a delishous meal, fast and friendly service in a comfterble environment in Chatham we highly reccomend Wimpys in Chatham!

Went out with my family on a Sunday afternoon. Service was wonderful, coffee came regularly and very helpful. Food was very slow to come out, steak was ordered medium but recieved well done and portioned seemed small for $20. My sons kids order came with more food then mine... then as we were going to our car, we saw the cook/dishwasher sitting outside on break, barefoot and playing with his toes. Called to complain and was told " sorry I'll have to let the manager know".

Just left wimpy. New payment machine, not impressed, absolutely in bad taste we all deal with the 15%, 20%, 30% tip scheme but now they rate your tip 15% good service 20% great service, 30% best service ever. This is nothing but a play on your patrons emotions. Also a way to make your staff feel judged. I gave my waitress a 5$ tip because I was satisfied with her service, not because I fealt forced into it

This place is a joke! The waitresses are rude and unprofessional. The food is not great either. We went to order food for take out and my boyfriend even tiped them to be nice. After we ordered they asked us to wait outside even though the capacity on the door said 75 and there were maybe 30 people inside including staff and customers.! My boyfriend was so upset about this that he requested his tip back. We will never eat there again and all of the customers inside agreed with us. This place lost my respect!

I think they sat on the shelf waiting for the waitress to take the plates and bring them to us as we waited a long time to get our food. We regularly have breakfast here and have had no problems with that.

Update: after a year, I tried it again. The fries were soggy, the burger was okay, but big, but again expensive! Way too expensive! The pancakes were bad. They tasted like they were made with whole wheat flour. Yuck. The eggs tasted like meat. Weird! I will not return. ..... The burger and fries are delicious! I had a fountain drink and it lacked flavor, not very good pop. But that TexMex burger was very delicious. The prices are outrageous though! One burger combo cost $20!! Yikes!!! For this reason, we probably won't come very often. But one day we'll get the burger again. Maybe we will try the big burger and split it. We had the small one and that one was still a good size. The waitress was nice too.

Very disappointed this visit to Wimpys. Have been here before and food was usually good. I ordered make your own omelette. When I got it it wasnt even hot and seemed like it had been sitting for awhile and the home fries were cold. My friend had the hot beef dip. It was cold and so overpriced for what it looked like And 5.99 for sweet potato fries that were nothing special. Staff were friendly that was one good thing.

I like the food at Wimpys and the staff have always been wonderful for the last year that I have been going there until today The cook staff are now all Indian and all you can hear in the restaurant is there punjabi music and them talking in there own language and back talking to the waitress The quality in the food seems to have gone down hill in the last couple of months The reason I’m writing this review is because one of the cooks told the waitress to mind her own business once this happened I said I was full paid and left

Sitting in here at 5pm tonight and just watched the waitress clear a table inside, did not wipe down the seats, did not wipe down the hair chair the little guy was using and then watched her take the packaged tartar sauce that was unused but came on someone's plate and proceed to put them back in the fridge! Are we not in the midst of a pandemic?!? Health and safety is obviously not of great concern to the staff here at Wimpys.

Waitress ordered wrong meal. Had to wait for new meat to be cooked. When the bill came she charged the original meal price not the second meal price. I was shocked when she came to the table. She had piercings in her nose long painted fingernails with polish. She had big chunky boots on. How does this outfit meet health and safety standards? The fingernails alone would attract dirt. What if the nail polish chipped off into someones food? TThats totally unacceptable.

Excellent food...large portions, almost too much for the large numbers of seniors in the area. People come and people go and there never is a long wait time..maybe five minutes. Staff is amazing at getting things flowing. Our go to place for breakfast, lunch or dinner!

Food is delicious. Somewhat pricey though. Asked waitress for more coffee, she brought us our bill instead. Felt like they were rushing us out. It wasn't really busy. The service is not the greatest. Long wait times just to get your order in.
