Honestly phenomenal. I am huge on breakfast, as in I could eat it for any meal of the day. Went here on a whim with a girlfriend of mine and was not disappointed. Ordered their special (eggs, bacon, toast, potatoes) and it was absolutely delicious. I love it when a place this small and homey makes me feel like my own Mom was cooking in the kitchen. Would definitely try again!

Good food, but the waitress refuse to take the ice tea off the bill when she brought it to the table and I realized that it was literally cold tea not something I'm fond of. She was rude and slow. The other waitress working there was much nicer l wish we had her.

The Shady Pine is a quaint and cute country diner. The food is good for the price and they have fresh baked goods for sale. The seating is limited, however, so you should come early.

When you think about an old-fashioned neighborhood diner, this is it. Good food and hospitality with reasonable prices are on the menu here. .... and don't forget desserts like lemon meringue pie, coconut cream pie and amazing butter tarts. Meet your friends here or make new ones. There are some booths and long tables to be shared. An on-the-fly go-to place. You won't regret it.

Great family atmosphere, and early morning Sunday breakfasts, are their specialty. Inexpensive and large portions. Always making sure your glass is full, and always friendly. Super tasting coffee too!! Would recommend as prices are lower than other chatham breakfast places.

The BEST breakfast in town! Exactly what you think of when you think Hometown Diner. Owners/Staff are great, atmosphere is perfect (the signs are hilarious!) and the community that gathers there is amazing. Our 2 young kids absolutely LOVE going there, and are always asking to go. Prices are great, food is awesome, and the pies are to die for!!

Hard to get a seat at lunch time, but this is a fantastic greasy spoon. We've never had a bad meal here. Parking lot is dirt, so if it has been raining it turns to mud.

I used to like this restaurant. The last time i was there I ordered an omelete. I found a hair cooked inside of it. So I ate my toast and waited for the waitress to come over. I proceeded to tell her , and she said "well theres nothing I can do about it now. You come in here frequently ill take it off your next bill." 1. I went maybe once every 6 months, so no.... i was not a frequent visitor. 2. It should have been offered to recook my omelete, or take it off the bill. I did not eat it. Charge me for the toast sure....but the omelete? No. All in all it was a terrible experience for me. My husband enjoyed his breakfast, but sadly we had to pay full price for a meal I did not eat. I won't be returning.
