It's a greasy spoon. The food is good but not exemplary. It's the characters that work there that make it so great! The staff are witty and fun. It's the atmosphere where in orders are still occasionally yelled across the restaurant. Witty one-liners are hurled from the kitchen and nobody ever leaves hungry. Just for reference....I'm a regular there.

I enjoyed so many things about this restraunt. I loved the in house burgers that thjey made. I liked the cleanliness of the restraunt, the portion sizes, the prices of the burgers were awesome you can get a burger and fries starting at 10 bucks plus tax. Whilst being the best burger ive tasted in the immediate area,(yes even better than roses)they are STILL the most affordable. Nothing but praise for The 18 Wheeler restaurant. I hope they get more busy in the coming future because being stationed 5 minute walk out of town isent helping with drop ins.

Found this place on the way back home..and boy are we glad we did. Friendly service and great food. I had the fish and chips with gravy on the side...I also asked for extra tartar sauce, well, cause I like it saucy! The plate came and no disappointments. Thanks for a great first experience 18 Wheeler!!

We've gone for brunch a number of times. Good coffee, fantastic omelletes, generous portions, excellent service. Home-cooked meals at a about going rate prices. Great small town atmosphere. I would not say "greasy spoon".

The food is usually very great and you don’t mind waiting a little bit for good food. Two weeks ago l ordered liver and onions one of my favourite,well a little incident going on in kitchen. I asked tell him please don’t over cook it!l received black burnt liver, did l really complain no. They had a incident so I let it go took it home cut the black off fed it to my dog. I stopped in yesterday for breakfast l love poached eggs one on each piece toast dry lightly toasted,onions in my taters fried a little crispy. With sausages. Ok I received my breakfast after 6 others that came in after 5 customers left by 5 minutes to 10 minutes. I was upset to see this go on,my eggs were poached perfect on one slice of toast ok fine. Sausages were deep fried twice I believe very tuff. Some taters good some hard, onions next to raw couldn’t chew them . Owner came asked if everything was fine l said the onions are almost raw. She offered to replace them quickly but very bland like I said no thanks and she booted it or I would have told about the sausages. l decided after having to wait for 6 other people to get their food wait half an hour,l was only going to pay half. They didn’t like that told me I was paying 8.00 or nothing and get out never come back. They were busy and my order was complicated so had to wait till easier orders were done first. Hummmm!!What happened to the customer is always right,l would have gladly paid the $4. But he said at first if you don’t like our food goe else where,but he came out again very hot under the collar. I still refused to pay full price so he kicked me out. I’m sorry but she never came out and tried to explain he wanted to make my breakfast perfect because it was a precise order. And he wanted to make the other customers orders first because they were easier in quicker. I would have left quietly and went on my way to Chatham, then ate at country kitchen even very busy my order is perfect . I did not leave 18Wheeler nicely !!

Went here a long time ago and didn’t think to write a review. I went with my cousin and her dad. The place was empty but still sat and waited for a bit. When we got our food the portions were small compared to the price. I went to eat and the fork was dirty, asked for a new one and it was also dirty. Luckily I didn’t have to use my fork and could use my hands. The bathroom was also dirty. I haven’t gone back and that was a few years ago. Maybe it was just a bad day when I went or maybe it’s always like that. I don’t know.

Yikes. First time eating here all year and since new management and 3 out of 5 burgers were pink meat. What a disappointment. 2nd star is for the fries and gravy.******update***** I did not see the reply from management stating they would replace my order. I dealt with it as I felt necessary by microwaving them. I would not have driven back either way because we were half into the fries and everything by then....BUT, because of the customer service I will add a 3rd star????‍♂️

I was at the diner with 2 co-workers and I had the Ruben Burger. Let me tell you that this was the BEST burger I have ever had! This place is my "go to" whenever I have friends and family visit as well. The best Eggs Bene on the planet!! You guys are amazing!

Burgers taste like they use real beef with 0 additive, I don't remember seeing an advertisement about it. Very delicious, hot and ready for when we got there. I had called in the order I told them I'd be there within 15 minutes. Great friendly service. Will definitely hit this place again when in the area.

Excellent chicken noodle soup. Fries and gravy top notch. The cheese and bacon burger was OUTSTANDING. Best burger I've had in a long time. Easy to tell it was homemade and seasoned perfectly. I didnt eat much of my food because "I was kind of hungover", that was just said because didnt want to cause any problems or trouble for the waitress because she was so kind and helpful but to be honest I didnt want another plate of sub-par food, sitting in a puddle of grease. It makes sense that the food was sub-par, now that I know you only "kinda" clean your grill everyday. You should consider doing a deep clean to avoid sending out food that tastes like a dirty grill. I have always been a fan of the 18 wheeler and In the past the food was great. We had traveled out of the way to go there but this was not a good experience. Customer service is obviously not a priority to the owner and that shows in the owner's inability to accept criticism.

I was traveling to Tilbury and hadn’t had the chance to grab lunch. I seen the 18 Wheeler Restaurant and decided to stop in! Simply amazing spot to eat! Large portions, freshly cooked and the service was like I was a member of the family. Mellisa and Joe have a hidden gem here, one that everyone needs to give a try. Don’t think I’ll need to eat for a week now! Amazing food made by amazing people that care above every guest. A must place to eat!!
