Not really sure why everyone else seems to be making a big deal about this place. The servers were friendly enough, but the dining area is cramped and the food took a while to come out. It was hot and fresh when it arrived, but a bit bland, and for some reason the sides are all ordered separately. For $10 I got an omelette and two pieces of toast with *margarine*. Seriously? When corners are cut like that, you aren't winning me over. Overall I would say this place is just OK. Not great, not terrible. Probably not deserving of the 4.3 star rating at the time of this review.

Great spot for breakfast, good price Very convenient location across from the Delta hotel and right by the water. Classic breakfast place with VERY good prices, took my little family and it was hearty and honestly cheaper than McDonalds while so much better. One of the kids had the “kids French Toast” which came with bacon and it was so dense and delicious. The sausages were also noticeably good. Yes, service is slow. Just one server and the manager but a friend of mine who just spent a week in town told me that “Linda” recently retired after 40 years and a new Canadian family took over - here’s what really moved me. When we got in there was a scruffy old man in the corner, he was clearly down on his luck. When he got up to leave he made some fun and kind remarks to all the kids in the place, mine included and then he went to pay. What no one but me could see was that he handed the owner his bill and the owner shook his hand and looked him in the eye. The old man quietly said “you’re awesome, thank you”. And left. It’s a great classic breakfast that moves at slower place and has good food. Want fast? Drive through McCrappys.

Food is amazing, and staff are lovely! They offer table service and we sometimes stop by to get hot drinks to go. The owner waited our table - we said we would share a dish. We did not ask them to do this, but they split our order up for us in the kitchen and brought it out own two plates, which was so thoughtful! It was delicious. We ordered the chicken shawarma wrap with fries. We will definitely be back! We also love that they're supporting artists in the community by displaying their art that is for sale.

Really disappointed about this place knowing ratings are good. Paid $14 for a meatless looking sausage, single toast and sad scramble eggs. Coffee was ok. The place is definitely under-staffed, took 25 min to get served. The entertainment was great though: the women washroom can only be open from the outside and few people were blocked banging on the door: I haven’t laughed that much in a while

Well... Where do I begin. We got seated fairly quickly but had to wait about 10 minutes to get our menus after having to ask for them. Once we ordered, another waitress came to give us menus. Seemed slightly disorganized. After recieving our food, the toast was cold and butter unmelted, and the bacon looked like it was from a microwave pack. However, the eggs were delicious and the homefries were amazing, we did not get enough of them!

Appears to be a family run business - I love the mom and pop shop that know how to do it right. The owner and son (I assume) helped our group of four. They were very efficient - we had our drinks within two minutes of us sitting down and our breakfast order was in front of us within 10 minutes of us ordering. The place was rammed and we anticipated a longer wait. The food was great as well! I'll go back again when in PEI.

Mixed feelings. Eggs well done and food was good. Juice is in a can. The milkshakes are not big for the price. Was a busy day, but services was sub-par. (No syrup for pancakes, needed to ask for creamer for coffee and no toast condiments such as jam)

It's not a cookie cutter chain restaurant. This is the kind of place you go when you want to eat where the locals eat. The food was top notch. The service was even better. I would definitely recommend you pop in here for a bite next time you're in Charlottetown.

(August 2018) Prices have become quite high. No longer comparable to maids at all. Won't be back sadly just for that reason. June 2019 Well, apparently I forgot about my last review, because I wasted time and money again today. Prices have doubled (11.50 before tax for basic breakfast, eggs, sausage, fries, toast and coffee), customer service was really off, when I asked when the prices increased she snapped at me and then apparently didn't listen to my order (forgot my home fries and then blamed me for not ordering them. but I know I ordered them right after I said they used to be included with the meal at 6 dollars.) by the time the fries came out and she slid them across the table to me without a word the rest of the meal was cold. The last axe to good service the server ignored me the rest of the time I was there. Which was a problem because my sausage was undercooked and oozing grease (see attached photo). One thing, I'll never forget this experience this time!!! Even with high prices it could have been a better experience. WILL NEVER BE BACK, and recommend for the same price you check out the high end fancy Old Triangle breakfast. Again, same price but really fancy. If it's cheap you want then yogis for sure. 3.99 and tax gets you 2 eggs, sausage AND bacon, fries, toast and baked beans. 11-3 Saturdays!! Otherwise goto Maid Marion's or Sam's Family for breakfast, pay 6 dollars instead of 11.50 for a good breakfast and some friendly professional service staff. . And know you saved 50% then what Linda's would have charged you!

Waitress was good considering she was serving the whole place while the cook or owner (not sure) stood around the bar doing nothing. He could have helped by brewing fresh coffee or clearing tables. No teamwork. Food was low-avg, eggs were overdone (ordered soft poached). Ham was ok. See photo. Cheap and not so cheerful. Bring realistic expectations. It’s a diner 100%.

THE BEST homemade breakfast I’ve had outside my home in a VERY long time!!! I had French Toast, bacon, eggs and pan fries the first morning and it was fantastic!! Had the Sampler the next morning which included pancakes, very fluffy! I ordered my eggs over medium and they were perfect! The whole meal was cooked to perfection on both days!! Good coffee too. Folks who expect fast service year round, This is Pei where many businesses only make money during the short summers we get so be patient when it’s crowded. It’s worth it. Great food and great people. Always! If you’re looking for a typical full breakfast, this one is better than ANY breakfast place in town nowadays, in my opinion.

August 3rd, 2021, went to Linda's Coffee Shop. Asked for omelet, which is ingredients in the center and egg folded over said ingredients, also side of bacon. Instead I got Western style with all ingredients, including bacon mixed in the egg, not inside . I went to this restaurant based on my memory of the quality . I was very disappointed and will never return.

Way too expensive. Got a French toast meal, pancake meal and a toasted blt sandwich, an iced tea, black coffee and milk and it was around $65! The eggs made both my boyfriend and I felt sick after eating them. 100% unimpressed. Service was ok.... had to ask a couple times for a glass of water for my daughter. They brought all the food out more complicated than it needed to be and brought the pancake meal out before the sausages you get with the meal were done (she brought those afterwards). I will NOT be eating there again nor would I recommend to a friend

While the breakfast is reasonably priced, their toast was dry and potatoes over-fried. We decided to give the place a second chance but our server refused to allow substitutions and would not offer any alternatives. I would have been willing to pay more to have home fries rather than bacon/sausage but this was an unreasonable request. I'm a tourist in PEI and this was unfortunately the WORST customer service experience during my whole trip.

Great friendly fast service offered in both English and French. Very good fresh food. Their fries are home style cut and very crispy. Lots of fire fighters and other emergency service workers eating there. Fire fighters don't just eat anywhere. They eat where the service and food is awesome!

Amazing friendly staff and quick serving time, but food is tasteless and bland, and coffee is served black with creamers you have to add in yourself. A few things that could improve this restaurant is a more varied menu, I would have loved seeing sweet breakfasts like pancakes, crepes, croissants or muffins instead of just different types of egg and toast. Milk and sugar could be served with the hot beverage in a dish so that it's more convenient for customers to adjust it to their taste. Overall good restaurant if you need a quick simple breakfast or just chill with a hot beverage. Not very fancy but still fair for the price.
