And after ordering, still at least 30 minutes of waiting to have our dishes. And the restaurant was AWAY from being full. I ordered a Quebec fried plate specifying without onions. Just before serving, I hear the cook tell our waitress that it is impossible to make such a plate without onions. The waitress comes back, explains to me that the onions are pre-portioned and are part of the vegetable mixture. Okay. I do not wish to change my dish (make my group wait another 30 minutes nob thank you). The plate arrives, a mountain of soft and flaccid onions, below the egg and baked beans. There are no other vegetables on this plate. So I wonder if it is ham, sausage, breakfast potatoes or baked beans that come automatically with onions ... It is totally unacceptable to me, this kind of service (a waitress should know what is possible to remove or add to the dishes on her menu, and if not at least ask the cook within a reasonable time), and this kind of cooking (we were not talking about a Macedonia of vegetables where we should have sorted small cubes of onions) ... It was the first and last time for this chain of restaurants. (Original) Je n'avais jamais vu un restaurant-déjeuner avec un service aussi lent. Incroyable. On a eu nos menus pendant près de 15 minutes avant de commander. Et après la commande, encore au moins 30 minutes d'attente pour avoir nos plats. Et le restaurant était LOIN d'être plein. J'ai commandé une assiette poêlée Québécoise en spécifiant sans oignons. Juste avant de nous servir, j'entends le cuisinier dire à notre serveuse que c'est impossible de faire une telle assiette sans oignons. La serveuse revient, m'explique que les oignons sont préportionnés et font partie du mélange de légumes. Okay. Je ne souhaite pas changer mon plat (faire attendre mon groupe encore 30 minutes nob merci). L'assiette arrive, une montagne d'oignons mous et flasques, en dessous de l'oeuf et des fèves aux lard. Il n'y a aucun autre légume dans cette assiette. Alors je me demande si c'est le jambon, la saucisse, les patates à déjeuner ou les fèves au lard qui viennent automatiquement avec des oignons... C'est totalement inacceptable pour moi, ce genre de service (une serveuse devrait savoir ce qui est possible de retirer ou d'ajouter dans les plats de son menu, et sinon au moins s'informer auprès du cuisinier dans un délai raisonnable), et ce genre de cuisine (on ne parlait pas d'une Macédoine de légumes où il aurait fallu trier de petits cubes d'oignons)... C'était la première et la dernière fois pour cette chaîne de restaurants.
