We used to drive to Courtney just for a rueben sandwich because they were good. Well Jeremy at THE CROOKED SPOON made perhaps the best rueben ever with a potato caramelized onion soup. Totally outstanding

Great spot for a quick meal. They had chilled cantaloupe, cilantro, orange soup yesterday, and it was delicious. My husband had the perogies and he said they were great as well. Super friendly staff, and lots of care put into the food.

Great find for brunch on our way north. The food was delicious! I find hollandaise to be hit or miss and this was a hit for sure. Service was fast and friendly! Cute cafe with the kitchen right up front which is a bit odd when walking in, but comfortable and cute cafe style seating in back!

Eggs Benny was AMAZING. Service was great, we took a while to order but our server was very accommodating. The smoked salmon is so tasty and they’re very generous with portion sizes. Ate too much but it was so worth it.

Came to Campbell River on trip while moving the parents and was hoping to find some much needed comfort food in the form of a sandwich or something easy to take and go. Boy did we luck out with Joe and Jeremy at The Crooked Spoon! We ordered before by phone for pickup and were told about 15-20 minute wait which was perfect while drove up the beach to their location. Upon arrival the smell of amazing grilled food goodness was overwhelming. Both guys were very pleasant and friendly while managing to maintain masks during pandemic. Once we got food back to the truck parked out front we couldn’t help but to dive into some of the garlicky beautiful yum factor of the golden brown grilled potatoes and Huevos Rancheros Wrap. It was everything we could have wanted. The refried beans with cheesy sour cream and perfectly fried egg was exactly what we were looking for before a very rigorous day of moving. All of the meal was so great we came back the very next morning and ordered the exact same thing! A place I look forward to coming back to when I can try their Cuban and not worry about anything except enjoying this magical food.

Came in from Vancity, stopped by the first day had the Ruben and the Cuban sandwiches, both were delicious and hit the spot. The customer service brought me back the next morning for the croissant royal and the fully loaded, both were great for that energy we needed throughout the day. Quick service . Well prepared apple and brie sandwich with salad. My fault for forgetting to mention I do not eat mayo. The sandwich was changed promptly Reuban and tomato soup were good . 4 rating only because the decor was pretty basic. Popular with the locals. Recommended.

The best salad, sandwich & soup. We ate here a few weeks back. The food was so fresh and tasty! Bread was soft & my sandwich was thick with delicious ingredients. The salad was actually visually beautiful. Can’t remember the dressing but was so so good! The soup was definitely house made.. so many flavours. Our server Austin was so charming and friendly, made our experience remarkable & we will return for your cheerful welcome :) A good team. Thanks for such a great experience!

My Go-to place for that satisfying, flavorful comfort food. The hardest choice you'll make is choosing between the stellar Breakfast Sandwich or the Mind-blowing Huevos Rancheros Wrap. And I haven't even mentioned the Soup yet!! Great service, spectacular food, and I always look forward to my next visit!!

Absolutely delicious! Most meals are quite rich, so this is the place to come when you're hungry. In saying that, there are some lighter options too! The chilli is the best chilli I've ever eaten in my entire life.
